Three stars for Panera in general, add a star here for friendly helpful staff. It seems like it is fairly busy most of the time, and given the location, you will probably have to wait for the mini folk to agonize over which- goodie-is- mommy-going -to -let -me -choose -today-yes-that-one-no-that-one-ok-this-one....maybe that is why the staff are so patient! It is a solid lunch brunch choice for the Hubbard Woods area.

My friends and I came here all the time during high school and we would always come here to eat. I love their chicken and wild rice soup and their chicken salad sandwiches on croissant. SO GOOD! I have fond memories of this place and I try to come back whenever I visit my parents.

(Based on experience at other Panera's and the dining catagory involved.) All of my Panera Bread experiences in this general locale (north shore) have been mostly all around positive. SInce in another lifetime I lived pretty near to this address - I 'm still trying to remember what USED to be in this location... But in any and all cases - I'm glad you are having good Yelp-worrthy time.

I almost never write reviews for chain restaurants like Panera, but I had such a positive experience here that I wanted to share. I missed my Metra from Highwood back into Evanston, so was dropped off at this Panera and was waiting for the bus. The manager (?) was really welcoming, polite, and made sure I was taken care of. One of the workers (Luis, if I remember correctly) was also really friendly and I had a small conversation with him before I left to catch my bus. Amazing attitudes and so friendly! 4 stars just for that.

What the hell is the big deal about this place? The sandwiches are bad, too much bread and not enough meat and vegetables. The only things I have had here that I like are the soups and the coffee. The service is always exceptional, but that's not a reason to go there.

Yeah this is a chain, but the people go out of their way at this Panera to be polite.. They have a great patio, its easy to navigate with a stroller. They go above and beyond to make sure customers are satisfied. They cut up a sandwich into itty bitty pieces, with no hassle. It was super helpful while babysitting a 2 year old boy.

I am obsessed with the food at Panera. Literally. I probably eat at a Panera at least three times per week, which is why I'm giving it at least three stars. I have been to several Paneras in the area and across the country, but this one has to be the worst in terms of service. THEY NEVER GET MY ORDER RIGHT. There is always something missing, like bread - or nuts (in my salad), spoons, you catch my drift. A couple of visits ago an employee argued with my Dad about whether he gave her a cup for a drink or not (he was right - she wasn't, and arguing with a customer is always incredibly insulting). Maybe it is just understaffed but this location is often dirty too - while I think its very unfortunate that many customers don't clean up after themselves, the staff should hold this location to a higher standard of cleanliness in the dining area because every other Panera I have been to has upheld this standard. I am really always disappointed every time I go to this location. I don't get whats up.

Really friendly staff and about twice as much dining space as most of the Panera's that I've been to. They even have a little outdoor seating area. Small parking lot that is full on the weekends, but plenty of parking about a half block south on the street. Way friendlier than other Panera's. If you can get over how eerily homogeneous the customers are, it is a nice little place to have lunch and coffee.

I work in the area, we order from Panera at least once a week and sadly this Panera has yet to get our order correct! They always either forget salad dressing, mix up soups, or just screw up the order entirely! Last week, we ordered a greek salad and a Thai salad (no chicken) and two sandwiches. The greek salad which never has chicken had scraps of chicken and the thai salad had chicken pcs! Also ordered a panini with no bacon and while they were making the order I was standing there and while she put the bacon in the sandwich I had to remind her it was without bacon!! When I went back to fix the salad, the manager was nice enough to accommodate and handed me another bag of salad and a soup. When I got back to work I noticed he gave me a Cesar salad, which wasn't even close to what I ordered. Sadly, they weren't even busy at the time!

Everything is excellent here. It's what a deli should be. Good sandwiches served on excellent and crunchy bread. Their baked goods are their specialty. The coffee is also really good. My only compliant would be that I didn't love their selection of soups and that's what I really wanted on a cold day. I did love the sandwich I had though. It's a great place to come get lunch and be able to get a meal, have refillable drinks and wireless.

Just came in for a coffee and while I was sitting there the employees were yelling to each other across the restaurant. While I am not expecting a quiet environment the yelling bothered me. Otherwise coffee was great!
