The almond croissants here and other pastries are amazing, the best I've had in the Chicago area, reminds me of being back in France. The coffee is really good as well and the service is excellent. Located in a very clean and cute Metra station in Winnetka. Once a week or so I take a train a few minutes earlier than my normal train and stop here for coffee and a croissant then catch the next train 20 minutes later, well worth it!

Best damn latte I've ever had!!! Makes my morning on the train ride. It is located in the Winnetka train station. It is a quaint coffee shop. Hard to resist the other amazingly delicious treats.

Best Croissants Ever! Best multi-grain baguette ever. I didn't even want to write this b/c I want to keep them all to myself but Rachel was hoping more people would yelp her so here you go. Sourced from a french baker that has a shop in the city. It's really causing me to rethink my commute home so that I can stop there every morning. My husband called it the best croissant he's ever had in his life. Go and support this awesome little establishment.

In my haste to put my review up -incorrectly used their city name la fournette...this is my new addiction! The most amazing fresh breads, pastries and coffee specialties. I'm particularly in love with the flaky croissants and beignets and of course my daily cappuccino made by the owner Rachel. It is an adorable addition to the Winnetka train station at Elm Street- not to be missed! Morning hours till 10am, then open late afternoon, perfect for grabbing a scrumptious bread for dinner!

This little gem in the Winnetka train station has the most wonderful French bread and pastries! Add to that delicious coffee and a warm and friendly greeting from Rachel, and you've got a fabulous start to your day. It was pure genius for Rachel to bring her shop into what was the little empty corner of a characterless train station. She has created warmth and community for hundreds of sleepy commuters. We need more smart ideas like this in Winnetka. And of course more of Rachel's chocolate croissants!

Totally amazing pastries and breads. If you are in the area or taking the train you have to try this little jem, you will not be sorry. My father loved the croissant I got for him and my mother loved the streusel brioche she had. I will be enjoying my cheese bread later. Basically anything you have will be amazing!! Coffee is Intelligentsia which was smooth, warm and delicious!

After months of walking by this little shop, I finally tried the hazelnut-filled beignet. WOW. Those things are dangerously decadent. I'm going to have trouble walking by without one ever again. The service from Rachel was friendly & sweet. I love to support a small business owner that takes pride in her work. Plus, they serve Intelligensia. My soy latte here beats Starbucks any day.

Excellent. The croissants, especially the almond and chocolate, are outstanding. Friendly people too!

Love it! I had a delicious cappuccino and hazelnut-filled beignet this morning. The space is bright and cozy and the location is convenient. I wish there was a table and some chairs... Maybe the train station could put a counter along the wall? UPDATE: there is now a counter and two lovely arm chairs!

Dangerously delicious and addicting! This place in located in the Winnetka Metra station and they have the most delicious almond croissants ever! They also have amazing coconut macaroons, pastries, and delicious bread! I am not a coffee drinker, but my boss usually gets his morning cappuccino from here and is always raving about it. My whole family is addicted to this place and we have introduced everyone we know to the almond croissants! The best part is Rachel takes orders that she can get next day. It's always a pleasure to go visit Rachel, def one of the nicest ladies I've met!
