Mediocre breakfast. I had the bacon and cheese omelette with hash browns and two buttermilk pancakes. Okay service except it took a while for our water glasses to be filled, even though the place wasn't that busy. Probably wouldn't go back.

The food at Oakfield is good. We've eaten there many times and have never had a bad meal. The service is usually good as well. We enjoy going to Oakfield and have brought many friends there with us as well.

Rather odd that the place has only two reviews and both are bad. This is a typical Milwaukee-style family restaurant (Friday fish fry and all) and it's run by Greeks. There isn't much Greek fare (Gyros and a "European Salad" that's really a Greek salad). This is not for snobs or gourmands, but my wife had a great breakfast, I had a decent Julienne Salad (the blue cheese dressing could have had some chunks of blue cheese in it) and our guests shared a Rueben Sandwich with fries. The Chicken Noodle soup that came with the two entrees was decent. I have eaten here several times and the menu provides many choices. In general, Winfield, which has very few choices in restaurants, is lucky to have this place!

Oh boy...where to start. Waited 15 mintues to get noticed. Then the guy seems so stressed he was making me stressed. He knocked a member of my party in head with the tray when brought the food, and didn't even say anything. Also, a few minutes later he did the sdame to about an 80-year old guy at the next table over....then the next guy at another table. Moron. The place was filthy, cold and the food sucked for the cost. Never again.

I have been here several times, the food is usually decent and the service is usually sub-par. Today however, we went for Easter brunch and the service was terrible, our drinks were constantly empty, they brought my food out 10 min. before the rest of the table and the order was wrong we never saw the server so i decided to eat what I was given...then my sister got her food and there was a LIVE BUG in it! They remade the food and offered a quiet apology, but didn't take the meal off of the bill or give any other compensation. I of course had already eaten some of my meal and was completely disgusted at this point. I will not return. Yuck!

Eh, just ok. The food is not bad, it's definitely edible but not a destination spot. Clearly a Greek diner, plenty of gyros meat and feta on the menu. In the Oakfield Family Restaurants defense, I'm not a fan of Greek diners, so perhaps I'm biased. Your typical menu and food quality for this kinda place. The service is slightly sub-par. The servers don't speak terrific English, and that gets a little annoying. The decor makes my OCD twitchy. It's like they took every decor style they could think of and attempted to employ them all. The haphazard smashing together of all of them makes it hard to eat. For me at least.

I always have enjoyed coming to this restaurant mainly for nostalgic purposes. Not much has changed at this place over the years. Some may find that to be a negative, but in a quickly changing world it is nice to have a few staples in town. That being said, the entrees are not the greatest. Honestly, I don't really go here if I am looking for a great meal. The soup on the other hand is always on point. The Beef Barley in particular is my favorite. So on a night when I am looking to get just a soup and a salad I come here. The staff has always been kind to me. I would recommended this place if you are looking for something with nice, quite, family atmosphere.

Living in WeGo, I've been here a couple of times, but not recently. Being that we were over at CDH for a family member this past Saturday night (6/27/15), this was closer than going back home. I know Saturday night isn't their high volume time, but we were the second table being seated. After we came in, two more tables got seated. So not sure if this is normal, or what I'm simple (and we were also in a time crunch as we needed to be back to the hospital by 7), so I had grilled cheese and my Mother had chicken tenders. Both were good, no complaints. And Nikki our waitress was a sweetie.

Having visited many Greek diners and breakfast places nearby I figured I would give another one a shot in Oakfield Family Restaurant. I had actually intended to stop here on a few occasions, in one case driving right by where it was and stopping at another breakfast eatery. Finally one Sunday morning I made my way to Oakfield. The inside is fairly dark and not particularly elaborately decorated, it reminds me quite a bit of the previously reviewed "Seven Dwarves restaurant" except without any of the fairly tale related murals, or merchandise. The best way I can describe it is that this place has the same mood. I was seated fairly shortly after entering, however it was a few minutes in a nearly deserted restaurant before a waitress came to take my order. Similarly, my food took around 20 minutes to arrive after ordering, There was nothing wrong with the politeness of my server or anything. It's just that service was slow, though at least they were fairly prompt in bringing my check. On to the food itself, here I went for a skillet. The skillet had, egg, ham and little pieces of bacon and cheese. The good news here is that this was a big skillet, there was a lot of egg, pieces of meat, and cheese. The somewhat bad news here is that well over half of the skillet was bland potato filler. It wasn't very well cooked, the potatoes weren't particularly crisp and it appeared there wasn't any seasoning or much else done to improve it's flavor. I wouldn't say this was a bad skillet. But was probably about average. The pancakes I received with my skillet were fairly standard as well, the syrup here is a little more liquidy and less thick in viscosity than I prefer. It was sweet and the pancakes themselves were soft and moist. Overall considering the slower than average service and the fact that nothing here was exceptional, I'd say it's a place with average food and below average service. Based on this I'm going to give it two stars.

Just had a pattie melt and fries with a cup of chicken dumpling soup. Fries were blah but the pattie melt was really good. Medium rare like I asked and the soup was perfect lots of dumplings I love dumplings . The waiter gave pretty good service . No problems here . Merry Christmas !!

I used to like going here for a nice greasy breakfast. But recently the waiter was rude and slow. The bus boy was on his A game though. My boyfriend got the most burnt bacon ive ever seen. There was also a bone in his cream of chicken soup.

I was there with friends few times on Monday evening. The waiter seem to have attitude problem. He called me Chino when handed me the bills. He did not gave us a good service. Never clean up the dishes, never come by to asks how things go or ask if we need anything or how are the food. I don't need to put up with this racist waiter. And don't expect 20% tips with this attitude. I am nice enough to left him some tips because the food was not bad. For sure, I will not go back to eat there again.

Highly recommend the chicken wrap just tried it last week! Comes with fruit and it's the perfect lunch! 3rd generation family run restaurant. A local gem. The food is delicious and they are extremely accomidating. Everything from the salad dressing to the lasagna is made fresh daily. You have to try their home-made soup and bread!

This place was solid. I went in not knowing what to expect and was pleasantly pleased. The service was fast and the turkey croissant was outstanding. I was so happy that it was real off the bone turkey and not deli style. The hostess was absolutely gorgeous. She surely must have been some sort of Greek Goddess.

I went on a whim, after a quick YELP search. The service was excellent, the food was hearty, and the half loaf of bread, which was served with the soup, was an unexpected surprise. I asked for the special - Baked Chicken served on dressing (stuffing) with mashed potatoes and gravy. A solid meal with a side of green beans. Yummy! The price for the pop was very reasonable, at $1.65, with refills. The warm apple pie was awesome!!!! Drawback: The dressing was salty, while the rice pudding was lacking a bit of flavor. overall... I am going back.

Just have to be really old to eat here!

I've been dining here for 18 years and have never had a bad meal. The food is always great and the service is unbeatable. The prices are also very reasonable for food and drinks. This is my family's go to restaurant when we want good food at a good price.

Good food, served real hot. Ruben is great, bread was toasted just the way I like it. I would go back
