I was here weeks ago and I miss it! Surprisingly good house coffee, great customer service and good food. So good that my friends and I came back the next day for lunch. They need to open a Chick-A-Dee's in Chicago, it will give Huck Finns and Hollywood Grill a run for its $.

They charge extra separate charge for each thing if u order food to go. I ordered two roast turkey tom dinners that should have been 8.99 each and i got charged a little over thirty dollars and it happened everytime when i got other prior numerous orders to go before that were different meals. On a positive note the food is good, excellent ribs, and the owners are friendly. However, the last time i was there the waitress walked past me three times with her coffee pot and didn't refill my empty coffee mug.

The food saved the day. The fried chicken was fabulous. The vegetable beef soup was good. Décor is the wrong word to use to describe this restaurant. If they put their furniture up for auction, they'd not get a bid. It's a real dump. Service was very nice. Prices were very low. It's ok for the food, but not much else.

I often frequent Chick-A-Dee while visiting my grandmother. The food is really good here. I have had a variety of different meals here which include the cheeseburger, buffalo chicken wrap and the gyros sandwich and have not been disappointed. They offer soup with many meals that is equally as good. Soup not your thing? There is an all you can eat salad bar for a few dollars more and is great! One thing to keep in mind is that fries do not come with the meal and are extra, but this explains the really low prices when viewing the menu. The staff there is very friendly and prompt. My drinks are always filled and plates are always removed quickly all while maintaining a great and positive attitude. The decor really needs to be updated but in an odd sort of ways, gives the place charm and character. All and all, I enjoy coming to this establishment and plan on coming back.

Worked here for almost a year as a waitress. Loved my clientelle but the back kitchen staff was a nightmare. No reason a married woman with grown children should have bus boys and kitchen staff grabbing me and rubbing up against me in the galley. The other waitresseses seem to think this is ok... they obviously have never waited tables outside of Will Co. and will put up with anything. When I told the owners about the situation they told me to just calm down and deal with how things worked at their establishment. I'm a city girl and know better, so, uh... no. they get a F-

I've tried a few different sandwiches off the menu. The food is always good and consistent, and the service is too.

I've been eating at the Chickadee since I was old enough to eat real food and my Dad has been eating at the Chickadee since it's been in business. We go here every weekend from March-October so it's safe to say I'm a "Chick-A-Dee expert". I know the whole family by name and they know me- we've seen hundreds of waitresses come through so I've had great service here and I've had mediocre service here but the one thing that remains constant is the food. I can easily say that I've had everything on the menu here- in fact- I don't think I've used the menu in years- we know what the soup of the day is every day. The food is great- it isn't great enough to bring people in from hours away, but if you're in the tri-county area- this is one of the best places you can choose to eat in! The owners are amazing, the price is reasonable and the soups are great- if you go here on a Saturday you MUST have the Beef Barley!!! And I think that Nicole must have experienced a freak-incident- I've eaten no less than 300 meals here and have never found a hair or fly in my food- if I had or any of my sisters or brothers or dad had- do you really think that we would've kept coming here regularly for 20+ years? Things that you should try here: Jumbo Shrimp Breaded Veal Cutlet (the gravy is delicious) Chicken Parmesan Veal Parmesan Frog Legs Chicken Rosemary soup (on Fridays) Poorboy/Hoagie Fried Chicken Ribs - get the "American Fries" whenever possible with your order- they're more like hash-browns than fries, but VERY DELICIOUS!

Best fried chicken I've tasted! Crispy crust & moist, but not greasy chicken inside - perfect. Never dined inside, just always order chicken to-go for a fast family dinner. Great BBQ sauce too, fries are average - but still good. My family has been ordering their chicken since we moved here about 15 years ago, never had a problem w/ them!
