Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Really happy to welcome this place to Wilmette and have another lunch since there aren't a lot of good ones. Had a late a great late lunch here this weekend. The small plate menu delighted us with salads, skewers and flatbreads. The roasted carrots and arugula salad with goat cheese was excellent. It had a very light vingerette on it that balanced the flavor well. We had two flatbreads at the table and both were good - my favorite was the Pesto Chicken and Goat cheese. The three cheese with honey and tyme was standard enough for my son but had a nice twist in flavor to take it up a notch. The Pepper Crusted Steak and Mushroom skewers were the table favorite with a great creamy garlic dipping sauce on the side. The steak meat was quality, cooked medium and flavorful. Save room for dessert - I loved the panna cotta with cherries - it was rich and super creamy. A bit worried I'll start craving it and keep going back. The homemade cookies with carmel sauce were good. The carmel sauce tasted a bit burnt to me but maybe they were going for a more butterscotch flavor. Was excited to see they also offer takeout food, premade lasagnes, pastas, salads and dressings. We'll be back often I'm sure.

Great variety and delicious food. I often stop on the way home from work and in five minutes I have a healthy meal that my whole family loves. Everything is really fresh and the service is excellent. Try the chicken and mushroom lasagna, it's incredible!

Fantastic food and service. I regularly stop at the Noodle Small Plates & Market during the week for lunch. Just the right amount of food at reasonable prices. The flat breads and skewers are perfect. The evening menu has more items, the wine list is extensive...and they have several craft beers. The evening atmosphere is very relaxing.

I really loved all the food we ordered. I definitely recommend the Kale and Avocado Salad, and Doughnuts for dessert.

the place has potential. the chef is trying to create a unique and ease to access menu. The wine was good, despite our glasses being dirty. Good selection. We had the steak and potato skewers, they should add some flavor. Salt, pepper, garlic, something. Not just charred meat. the sauce ont eh side was OK, but a little hard on the mayo side. The sausage and cherry tomato skewer, the relish on the side was fantastic. The sausage was very dry. Maybe precooked and not fresh. If the sausage would have been fresh, it would have been tasty and juicy. The pesto flatbread was good. Crisp, flavorful. very yummy. The space could use some more cushy seats, not just banquettes, yes you can cram more tables, but the space is so narrow, it needs more. Will try again, but with the new places coming to town, the restaurant scene may need to pick up its game

The Noodle Cafe was packed. So we went next door for a glass of wine...and ended up staying for a delightful dinner. First time here and loved it. Can see us going back often for the high quality, European cafe-style "small plates" in shareable portions. Solid wine selection with several flight offerings. Beer selection is much better than average. Having more local options would improve it. Narrow, but long dining room puts you close to your neighbor. The helpful staff is attentive and knowledgeable. Great date night spot for a bite and a drink before _________. A great addition to the thriving downtown Wilmette dining scene.

Great place for a date night or with friends, no kids in this area of the restaurant which is nice to have quite after being a stay at home mom all day. Flat bread pizza is full of flavor, good to share or eat it up by yourself. Has a city feel in the heart of the Wilmette. Can't wait to go back.

I think I've been here 4x already since this place opened. Very cute little small plates restaurant that downtown Wilmette was missing. Their calamari is awesome (love the lemon and fennel mixed in) and cheese flatbread with honey is delish! I wish they offered half pours of wine so that you could try more. Also, assuming there is a reason they didn't do this, but how great would it be if you could order a few things off the menu from next door?!? All the times I've gone, it's been for dinner and I end up leaving feeling like I ate a fair amount of fried food. If there were even like two-three pasta options, this would solve the problem! But, so far so good!

i have eaten at The Noodle Cafe countless of times and its always wonderful. owners have taken it to the next level with this intimate italian small plates cafe nextdoor. i have enjoyed the steak skewers w/garlic sauce, shrimp skewers w/orange sauce, kale salad (favorite) and the honey sage four cheese flatbread. plates can be shared between two (or more). also know that if you are dinning alone you can order a combo which provides half portions of two items. the atmosphere is tranquil with a panoramic view of the neighborhood (and all those who choose to blow the stop sign). nice place to lunch or grab an app before your meal nextdoor. OH, they have take out too! you can grab a meal from the fridge for up to 20 at the front coutner.
