Excellent shawerma. The damascus way was delicious. The falafel was good I've hab better though. Clean environment friendly staff.. very clean bathrooms huge plus!! Price for 2 shawermas a falafel sandwich and 2 drinks was 21 and some change.... Reasonable definitely worth a try!!

We were in the area and had no idea what we wanted for dinner, good ol yelp to the rescue! This is an order at the counter and pick a table restaurant. We were given all sorts of choices. Chicken plate, basmati rice, hummus, pickled onions, tabouleh, yogurt cucumber salad, pita and of course FALAFEL! We both had similar orders and were not disappointed one bit. The best part of the experience was far and beyond the falafel, it was much thinner than your typical falafel, it resembled a tiny flat donut, good lord it was amazing, I will come back here 100% and the falafel is the main reason for that.

Ate the chicken shawarma in the car, and it was worth the oil stain on my pants!!! Incredible. Steak shawarma could be juicier.

Awesome, all the typical choices around here get old quick. This is a breath of fresh air and fresh ingredients. I discovered this place and have been back 4 times now, I think its actually getting better. I usually get the wrap with any meat or falafel choice, they grill the wrap on the press. I have also learned to never leave without a couple falafel on the side absolutely delicious. So good, and so worth it, I'm a Syrian food convert because of this place, support them they are a small business, if you like to try new flavors and step outside the fast food box you won't regret trying it. Also, the wraps are messy, but I discovered a trick. Eat it over your rice and all the juices and extras fall into the rice for a nice addition lol!

I'm so happy to have this option for fast casual Middle Eastern food a quick drive from home. This kind of place seems to be popping up all over, and I've been underwhelmed as often as not. Thankfully, when I tried Damascus Falafel, everything met or exceeded my expectations. You're all familiar with the model - pick a protein and format, what toppings and sauces you like (within well defined limits) and pay at the end. On my visit, I found the service to be pleasant and helpful (I did mention that it was my first time there), particularly from the woman staffing the first station--she was fantastic. I had a good idea of what I wanted prior to entering the restaurant, but it was helpful to be able to see the toppings in person. I opted for the beef shawarma lettuce bowl with regular hummus, Arabic salad and cucumber yogurt, pickles, onions and cucumbers, topped with hot sauce. I got a couple of falafels (discs rather than balls) as well. Let me tell you, this particular combination was absolutely delicious. The freshness and texture of the produce was fantastic and the meat had a great charred flavor. The only thing I might change next time is to get the purple cabbage as a topping. It looked great. They smear the hummus (or baba ghanoush) at the bottom of the bowl, so don't get the idea it would be easy to use as a "dip" for your side order of falafel or pita. That may be true in the platter version - not sure. It's not the cheapest meal option around. The parking lot is a wee bit tight (as in you might be backed into or vice versa). But wow, is the food great! Unreservedly recommended.

The good: - very clean - food prep runs smooth and quick - enough variety of middle eastern choice - not expensive The bad: - no sampler to taste all.

Just happened to be passing by and stopped in here. Best falafel and chicken wrap I have ever had! Do yourself a favor and stop in, don't forget to get a side of red pepper hummus. Fantastic!

What a delightful place to have lunch. Such a nice break from the chains. This was one of the best falafel I can remember. You get your choice of hummus and tehani. This is fast food, and the menu is limited, but it blows Naf Naf Grill out of the water. I will now be able to associate Willowbrook with something other than red light cameras. It's located in a shopping plaza with a 7-11 on the east side of Kingary Highway. This is how I imagine my first meal tasting when I land in Tel Aviv some day.

I had the falafel wrap, and it was wonderful! They have a nice variety of options for salads/sides and the garlic sauce is very good. The servers were friendly and helpful to my friend who had special dietary needs.

Excellent food and ambience!! One of the best Middle East restaurant. It's quick and delicious. I love the falafel bowl and falafel sandwich

Been here multiple times. I love the varied options they have. If I'm feeling healthy, I got for a bowl with hummus at the bottom, chicken shawarma, veggies and garlic sauce. Getting red cabbage and cucumber yogurt is such a refreshing lunch. The garlic sauce is AMAZING. I've tried many Mediterranean restaurants in the city and the north side (looking at you pita inn and naf naf) but neither even comes close. The garlic sauce here is precisely what it tastes like back home. You can also get dibs ruman here-- its pomegranate sauce. Get it on the side to try it if you haven't before. You really can't get this stuff at any other restaurant. Sandwiches are great too, the quality is always on point. I'm personally not too big on falafel, but I've tried them here and many friends have said they're on point as well. The staff is very friendly too. Whenever I'm in the area I stop by-- sandwiches and bowls are great. I've yet to be disappointed. Keep it up!

Great place to get some good middle eastern food. - Very clean - Very quick - Decent variety - Good prices - Friendly staff Try the Steak Shawarma Damascus way if you're not sure what to get.

I love their baba ghanouj. It is amazing. It is slightly smokey in flavor. You won't regret that pick. I also liked the red pepper hummus with falafel. My mom felt the extra spice added on top made it too spicy. I enjoy a little kick, but if you don't like heat, make sure they don't sprinkle your hummus with the red spice. I think it's pepper, but I'm not 100%. This should definitely be a stop for anyone in the area.

Yes!!! I've been waiting for a fast-service Mediterranean spot to open up near me. I work in the city and eat lunch at Roti Mediterranean Grill any chance I get. Damascus is even better and more authentic! My husband picked up a take-out order on his way home from work a few weeks back. We got a couple of chicken shawarma wraps and a falafel pita (with various salad & sauce toppings). Large portions, fresh ingredients and excellent flavors. Great addition to the area!

My wife and I just stopped here and were thoroughly impressed. I ordered the falafel plate with red pepper hummus and some tasty sides. The falafel were very tasty. My wife got the chichen shawarma. She said that it was one of the best she has had. I think next time I will have to try it as well. The prices were great and the service was excellent. We will definitely be going back.

I'm from Damascus and let me tell you I haven't had falafel, chicken shawarma, tabbouleh and hummus this good in years! These are the items I've tried so far. I look forward to trying the rest of the menu very soon and hopefully often. Great work!
I am SO glad I found this place! The staff is super friendly, and the place is big and clean. Most importantly the food is high-quality and well priced, something you don't see much of these days. Now I can get my middle eastern fix anytime I want. Will be returning again and again!

I came to Damascus Falafel after I heard some heartbreaking news, and my experience here did not at all help me feel better in any way. First of all the service was terrible. The two people who served us were rude and so pushy. I know we were a little indecisive around what toppings to get, but only because there is a limit on the number of toppings you are allowed. Huh? I'm sorry, if you set up your business model to mimic the subway/chipotle dining experience, I feel like you can't place a limit on the number of toppings? Am I crazy? IDK. Regardless, I expected the employees to be patient and kind and make my order with a smile and I got none of that. The food was also below average. I think what I needed in that moment was comfort food. But Damascus Falafel was just on my way home. And I got to say, it did not hit the spot. I think I was so disappointed in what I ordered because I felt like I picked toppings that didn't go well together (which wouldn't have been a problem if I was able to select more toppings that would have complemented my order). Maybe I need to give it another chance when I'm in a better mood, but I dont see that happening any time soon.

Absolutely delicious. This was my second time here and, like my first visit, it did not disappoint. A quiet place with quality food and good customer service all at a reasonable price. I couldn't ask for anything more.
(5)
Jay W.
The service and food was excellent. The girl behind the counter was happy to "walk me through" what the different options were. I love that you are able to customize your wrap or bowl with the fixin's, meat, and sauces you prefer. The falafel is also outstanding; moist and perfectly seasoned. Clean, fast, and reasonably priced.

Think Chipotle fresh, quick serve then add falafel and Turkish influence and you get a great meal that even my 3 kids raved about. Awesome, affordable and unique. We will be back soon.

One of the best middle eastern places I've eaten at in IL. It's like Middle Eastern Chipotle. Fastest service of any middle eastern place I've been to in IL. Love the steak Shawarma wrap. Staff is very friendly and aren't stingy with the tahini which is a huge plus!

YES! Finally, a Mediterranean place close to our office! Damascus Falafel is a great little restaurant that delivers a quality meal. I brought 2 colleagues here from work. 1 being a schwarma fan and the other never having experienced Mediterranean food before. Both were equally impressed and happy with their meals. I had the chicken schwarma in a pita with a side of brown rice. Who ever commented that Naf naf was better than here is off their rocker. The schwarma here is WAY better. I cant comment in their falafel yet, but I will be back!

I came here for the name, and thankfully the food was great. I had the chicken shawarma wrap. The staff was really nice and explained the menu to me. When they knew I was Syrian, they asked if I wanted my sandwich the Syrian way, and I sure did. They made it for me in no time and toasted it just the way I like it. It was awesome. The garlic sauce was just like the one I used to eat in Damascus. I will definitely be coming back for more shawarma and falafel.

Had dinner with my uncle a few weeks back. Loved it. Plus for the most part ALLERGY FRIENDLY for anyone like me with a soy problem :))) Food was awesome. Equal with the service. Super friendly. They remembered me when I came back and even remembered my soy allergy. The guy should be at Harvard. Forgot his name but I man. I'm not easily blown away by customer service! Thanks. Ill be back, again and again. PS portions are huge. Go with the platter it lasts for days.

Delicious, amazing, and quick. I love middle eastern food and have even tried it overseas and this definitely hit the spot to my cravings. I was curious to try the bowl since it's a new concept for me in regards to middle eastern food and I loved how the flavors blended. I highly suggest you get the chicken shawarma bowl. The servings are generous and I could barely finish it all. The pick-your-own style is going viral in all fast food restaurants and they seemed to have pulled it off nicely here.
(5)
Alex D.
I had the falafel plate with lettuce and spicy hummus. The portion size was perfect (actually a little large). This can easily be a low carb meal if you don't get the pita, but the pita was warm and soft and I couldn't resist. Having lettuce without the rice did not seem to ruin the meal. In fact it was one of the most filling salads I've ever had although technically called a plate and not a salad. Everything was fresh and the falafel itself was great. The casual atmosphere means that you got your food fast and didn't have a waitstaff to tip. The restaurant appears new and modern with the menus on flatscreen TVs. This might be my new favorite restaurant and for sure the only place I'll go to get falafel.
(5)
Balaji R.
Good quality food and great concept (Chipotle style middle eastern food). Would prefer just a couple more meat choices than just the shawarmas like koftes and kebabs.
(4)
Nora K.
Great service, friendly staff, *clean* Middle Eastern restaurant with authentic shawarma and falafel!! So delicious, will definitely be back!
(5)
Gosia Z.
It's a small little restaurant. You don't have a lot of choices on the menu. I got the falafel wrap. You can choose between two different hummus, 3-4 salad options and some sauces. Overall it was pretty good. I'm pretty new to Mediterranean food but I liked it! The staff was friendly and explained what each option offered!
(4)
Dar J.
Had this place for the first time tonight and it was awesome. The falafel sandwich was great! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. For about 10 minutes I thought I lost my money, I made two trips back out to the car to look for it and frantically checked my bag several times. In the middle of my panic, the employee offered to let me pay for my meal next time. Luckily, I found my money, but I really appreciated the offer! Every inch if the restaurant was immaculate. It is obvious that cleanliness is a priority. I can't wait to come back here with everyone I know. I will definitely suggest this place next time we're looking for a quick, delicious meal!
(5)
Samah K.
Love this place. Not only is it close to home but it is zabiha halal. The options are delicious. Love the decor. Very clean and organized. They make the falafel fresh! Which i thought was amazing and something that makes it even more special. Definitely better than IDOF and Naf Naf grill.

Jason Y.
Stopped in for lunch and got the steak shawarma plate. You have the option of getting it on a segmented chinette type plate where all the portions have their own little place or getting it in a bowl, which I opted for. You get a choice of two different hummus, choice of white or brown rice and then a nice selection of veggies and salads to top it with. Then your meat and topped with a choice of different sauces. There's no way you even need the pita with this, as it was a meal in itself. This and a drink was like $12...for the amount of food you get it was well worth it. Excellent.

Alex F.
The food is fantastic. I live in the city and work nearby. There is nothing in the city that comes even close. Makes crappy days at work a lot better.

This place has the best falafel I've ever had. The platter is awesome and the hummus is amazing. Easy five star, will be back many more times.

Quick and easy going service, with everything freshly cooked in-house and served right in front of you. The flavors are incredible, and are a true reminder of the flavoring of food back home. The facility is clean as well as highly inviting, and it would be quite difficult not to enjoy the quality food and pleasant atmosphere provided to customers by Damascus Falafel.

Super, super friendly. Not as good as actual falafel from Damascus but still great food and great service!

The chicken wrap with garlic sauce was great. Very friendly staff helped us order. Think mediterranean Chipolte, yum!

Very nice casual place. I had a coupon from the mail so I tried it. What I liked was you can pick your own sauces and toppings. The help kept asking us if we wanted more. I had a falafel sandwich and my friend had the chicken schwarma plate. The falafel wasn't dry or overcooked, lots of texture. I had no idea there was a plaza in this area. You have to drive south past most of the businesses, then there is a gas station and there it is. I forgot my coupon and she naturally gave me a discount without even asking. Give it a try, you order at the counter and then sit down, they bring it to you.
(5)
Florence G.
I got the chicken wrap and my husband got the chicken plate. I love all the sides they have to garnish the dish. Fresh and fully seasoned salads. Nice clean dining area with plenty of outlets everywhere for you to bring your laptops and study if needed. A must try and a gem of a place for the suburbs!

This was some of the best falafel I've ever had. The place could use some more advertising though. It is tucked away and not very easy to spot from the road.
(5)
Wassim B.
Best shawarma sandwich I ever had outside Syria. Staff very nice and welcoming. Place is new and clean. My favorite is chicken shawarma wrap, damascus way. Steak Shawarma wrap, damascus way is also great.

I don't think I've ever gotten so much good food for so little money. Sandwich had plenty of fresh vegetables, not like some places where you get some iceberg and 2 slices of tomato.
(5)
Brian B.
I absolutely love this place! I've been here several times now. The food is great and it's unique! The menu is simple and easy to read, yet there are so many different combinations to try and they are all very good! The service is great and the staff are friendly and helpful. The prices are cheap and the quality of food is awesome! The restaurant is always clean and all the cooking and preparation is done right in front of you. It is great for dining in or take-out. As a bonus for Argonne employees/visitors, the location is conveniently near the lab, and they even give a discount for employees and students. I have to say, this is probably my favorite restaurant on yelp!

A wonderful addition to the neighborhood! Fresh ingredients and wonderful service! These falafel are fantastic. I normally don't like falafel but these are perfect!

This place is fabulous! It's 2 minutes from my house, clean, friendly staff and the food is so good! I crave this every damn day! I always get the chicken shawarma platter. So much food for such a low price. I hope they never close.

I decided to take a little road trip over to this place because I'm always looking for good Middle Eastern food. I found the restaurant to be very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had the beef shwarma on a pita. I love the fact that you can "build your own" with all the fixin's. That's a very good idea. They also gave me extra Tahini Sauce to dip my falafels in at no charge, which I appreciate. The lentil soup isn't as good as Naf Naf's, but it was nicely spiced and flavorful. It has the consistency of pea soup, which I prefer it to be more "bean-like" -- but really, that's my preference and is by no means a deal breaker. I recommend this place, I will be back.
(5)
dale c.
We need more places like this - places that limit their menu to just a few items and, by focusing on just those few items, make them really really well. The shawarma here is among the best I've had. Moist, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The portion sizes are more than generous. Service is quick and friendly. Damascus has quickly become our favorite eatery in the Willowbrook/Burr Ridge area.
(5)
Dana R.
Such a great place! My family and I enjoyed it very much. The falafel is made fresh right in front of you. I had the falafel wrap the Damascus way and I tried some of my brothers chicken shawarma wrap they were both phenomenal. They should have more than one location!!
(5)
Matthias O.
Hands down some of the best falafel I have ever had. And the hummus is perhaps the best my wife and I have ever eaten. Being recent transplants from Los Angeles, we have been looking for the best comfort food with the best quality. We found it here. We will be regulars for sure!
(5)

The best chicken shawerma hands down. Fantastic falafel and a very wide choice of very fresh garnishes and sides. We will be regulars!

Fiya S.
Very very happy I stopped by here! Absolutely delicious and fresh! The people there are so friendly and they were so nice and welcoming to my shy daughter lol! I got the chicken schwarma which came with hummus and veggies on a flat bread and yummy garlic sauce. It was fresh and tasty! I will definitely be returning.....soon!! One of the best middle eastern restaurants in this area!
(5)

Stopped in for the first time tonight. The flat bread sandwiches were outstanding! I loved the roasted red pepper humus on it. The restaurant was clean and the service with a smile made the evening all the more enjoyable. We will be back for sure!

I LOVE this place. I wish they had one located on Harlem near 95th street. I'm a huge fan of middle-eastern food and this place is my #1 favorite. Delicious sauces and their chicken shawarma on a pita with garlic sauce is SO good. Don't even get me started on their FALAFELS. YUM.

My husband and I really like middle eastern food - falafel, hummus, shwarma, etc. We were excited to try Damascus. We walked into a clean, well decorated place with friendly staff. Multiple choices, Chipotle style, you choose a sandwich, bowl or plate - smallest to largest. We order the plates, and had a choice of basmati or brown rice or lettuce, a protein (chx, steak or falafel), 2 salads (we chose cucumber and tabuloi), 2 condiments (hummus and something else I don't remember) and a sauce. For 2 people to get 2 plates, 2 drinks and 2 pieces of baklavah - $25 - pretty pricey for middle eastern, it'd be okay though if it was great food. We sat down to eat and unfortunately were so disappointed -- the food was genuinely bad. My guess is Damascus has asked their friends and family to provide all of the 5 star reviews here because this place is not even worth one star. None of the food had flavor - the falafel, the steak, the salads -- the rice had a bad after taste, and I'm telling you, this stuff will not do nice things to your gastrointestinal system after the fact - believe me on this. This is a definite skip - yelpers who've given 5 stars to Damascus should be ashamed.

I recently started working in Florida, and while visiting Illinois some friends insisted I try this place that opend recently. The chicken shawerma, along with everything else on the menu I tried, is not only delicious, but authentic. Reading previous reviews, I cant help but agree with all of them. The food is delicious, the facilities are clean, and the staff is friendly. I am baffled at the one star review. Sarah U. obviously must have been catering very mediocre Middle Eastern food if she believes the food here isnt good. Will definitely return whenever I visit Illinois.

We love this new neighborhood restaurant!!! everything is SO fresh and delicious. Food is very flavorful and the staff is pleasant. They are not rude and give such generous portions. The falafels are the best I've had in a while!!!
(5)

Delicious! My husband and I just had lunch and everything was great. I had the chicken schwarma and my husband had the steak. We also ordered a side of falafel...after they let me sample one I had to have more! Both plates come with 2 sides and I don't have a complaint about anything. We had hummus, tomato /cucumber salad, baba ganoush, tahini, some pickles and a side of hot sauce...it was all yummy. A lot of food and at a good price. The bonus...the staff was extremely friendly and helpful! We'll be back :)

Frank G.
Stopped in for lunch the other day with two other people. We all had different meals including a chicken wrap, steak schwarma wrap and a schwarma plate and a half dozen falafel. All of us agreed that we'd go back! The service was quick, the place clean and inviting. The food was really good, fresh and flavorful. Since I know that the place is relatively new - I wish the owner good luck!

Just stopped in to try something new and I got it. Where has this place been all my life. I only got a chicken sandwich and it was great. I'm going back soon to try it all.

As mentioned in previous reviews, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. This was our first visit and was a bit unsure what to order or what we were ordering. But all questions were answered patiently and clearly. The restaurant eating area is bit small, but very clean. The food was outstanding. I am mostly vegetarian so I ordered the falafel platter. It came with tabbouleh salad, a tomato and cucumber salad, two types of hummus, a large helping of brown (or white) rice, and various condiments and sauces, and a whole pita pocket bread. It was delicious. The hummus was the best I have eaten and their spicy red pepper hummus (not really spicy not) was simply fantastic. It is made in house. The falafel was also exceptional, perfectly cooked. They are shaped flatter than falafels that I remember from my college days with a small hole in the center that helps the frying process. Everything tasted fresh, crisp, perfect. My only complaint, could have eaten a few more fafalel patties! My wife had the chicken platter. The chicken is cooked vertically gyros style, and is marinated with what must be mid-eastern spices. Very tasty. The chicken platter came with the sames sides as my order. You can also order the meal as a sandwich, which is what I expected. Fortunately the family in front of us ordered the platters, so we did to. Our order with one soft drink came to $22, a bit pricey for fast food, but it was worth it and we will be back! If you are into fresh food, vegetarian food, middle-eastern fast food, or just something different, I recommend that you give them a try. By the way, they are open six days a week, closed on Monday. Ask me how I know!

I come here regularly and am not disappointed ever. I usually get a chicken Shawarma bowl with the red pepper humus and garlic sauce, and the combination of flavors never fail to bring me back the next time. The service is fast and the food is fresh, the falafel made on the spot and the shawarma cut right in front of you. The Chipotle style format of how the bowls, platters, and sandwiches are made is very quick and the staff is super friendly, they recognize me now when I walk in!

Great food, great service! Came in for take-out, was really impressed - fast service, cheap, and most importantly food tastes great! Best mediterranean I have had in quite a while, can't believe I drove past so many times before coming in. The chicken shawarma was particularly good, the roasted red pepper hummus and salads were great. The fries were so good, my wife said she might send me back again just for more! Will definitely be coming back.

this is delicious food! Nice place to sit and enjoy a quick meal, or linger and get caught up. My friend had never had middle Eastern food like this, we were both surprised that he liked it so much. Love the baba ganoush.

Forever, I have been clamoring for a Mediterranean restaurant near where I work. A couple of weeks ago, I found this place purely by serendipitous accident. In 7 visits in 10 days, I have tried everything on the menu and I love it all. My favorite thing on the menu is the shawarma wrap. Steak, chicken, it doesn't matter. Get it with the spicy red pepper hummus, pickles, hot and garlic sauces, and be overwhelmed. Each individual component is good but when they come together, the flavors really sing. Only drawback is they are closed on Mondays. This brought my streak of four days in a row to an end. I'm getting as much as I can before the place blows up and I have to wait an hour due to the demand.

I just discovered this place on Yelp very recently and went here the next day. I was very impressed with their sandwiches and I'll surely be back. I had the chicken shawarma sandwich, falafel, and baba ganoush. My dining companion had the falafel dinner plate. Both were fantastic. The chicken shawarma sandwich on a pita was one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time. I was told the falafel plate was great too. Food was so good I went back the next day for a steak wrap and more falafel. It also was great, although as a matter of personal preference, I think I preferred the chicken on pita. Absolutely nothing wrong with the steak though, it was great as well. Another really cool thing I liked is that they use biogradable packaging for their food, no styrofoam here. I thought that was an awesome thing to see. Everyone cheaps out with styrofoam. The staff is friendly as well. Check this place out for something different!

Damascus falafel is an amazing addition to the restaurant scene in the Willow Brook/Burr Ridge area. I tried it earlier with my two sisters. One ordered chicken shawarma bowl, one ordered steak shawarma pita and I order falafel wrap. They made the falafel fresh in front of me. It was crisp with just the right amount of spices. The roasted red paper hummus was the best I ever had with the falafel. I tried the chicken shawarma from my sister and it was juicy and flavorful. The place was clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food was plenty and the price is less expensive than comparable outfits with more portions and more options. Looking at the other reviews on yelp I truly question the two people who gave bad reviews with one star. They are totally off mark and I wonder if they are marketers for competitors. I certainly agree with the overwhelming number of people giving this place rave reviews. This is certainly a keeper and I have added it to my list of favorite restaurants. I will be coming back often.

I am very surprised to see all of the 5-star ratings on Damascus Falafel. My husband and I ate lunch here last weekend and were not impressed. However, the staff were very friendly and gave us an automatic lunch discount. Perhaps our disappointment was because we have been eating at another establishment, which serves falafel, sharma, etc., over the last 3 months and the food there is so suburb - nothing else can come close to it. (We eat their twice a week - I could eat there every day if my budget allowed). I do not think we will try again ... we will continue to eat at our favorite mediterranean eatery in Lombard.

Went today with several co-workers and we all left happy! Chicken Schwarma was a tad dry but the delicious flavors of the sauces and sides completely made up for it. I even took some falafel to go so I could have it tonight. We will definitely be back.

Good quality food and great concept (Chipotle style middle eastern food). Would prefer just a couple more meat choices than just the shawarmas like koftes and kebabs.

Great service, friendly staff, *clean* Middle Eastern restaurant with authentic shawarma and falafel!! So delicious, will definitely be back!

Love this place. Not only is it close to home but it is zabiha halal. The options are delicious. Love the decor. Very clean and organized. They make the falafel fresh! Which i thought was amazing and something that makes it even more special. Definitely better than IDOF and Naf Naf grill.

Keep it up!

The food is delicious & the staff is friendly. Prices extremely fair. Go as often as you can.

(5)
Chris S.

Yaser T.
I'm from Damascus and let me tell you I haven't had falafel, chicken shawarma, tabbouleh and hummus this good in years! These are the items I've tried so far. I look forward to trying the rest of the menu very soon and hopefully often. Great work!

Very friendly staff and delicious, fresh food! The Lentil soup warmed me from the inside out on this cold winter day.

The best middle eastern restaurant in Chicago area. Highly recommended; specially the falafel and steak shawarma

I am SO glad I found this place! The staff is super friendly, and the place is big and clean. Most importantly the food is high-quality and well priced, something you don't see much of these days. Now I can get my middle eastern fix anytime I want. Will be returning again and again!

This place has the best falafel I've ever had. The platter is awesome and the hummus is amazing. Easy five star, will be back many more times.
(5)
Yasmeen H.

I recommend this place, I will be back.

YUM.

Delicious food. Steak shawarma sandwich was phenomenal. Really liked the hummus bowl. Will be frequenting this place often.

Went today with several co-workers and we all left happy! Chicken Schwarma was a tad dry but the delicious flavors of the sauces and sides completely made up for it. I even took some falafel to go so I could have it tonight. We will definitely be back.

(5)M A.
Ate the chicken shawarma in the car, and it was worth the oil stain on my pants!!! Incredible. Steak shawarma could be juicier.
(5)Brian R.

(5)Patrick M.
Just happened to be passing by and stopped in here. Best falafel and chicken wrap I have ever had! Do yourself a favor and stop in, don't forget to get a side of red pepper hummus. Fantastic!
(5)Eric F.
(5)Irving W.
I had the falafel wrap, and it was wonderful! They have a nice variety of options for salads/sides and the garlic sauce is very good. The servers were friendly and helpful to my friend who had special dietary needs.
(5)Harshitha R.
Excellent food and ambience!! One of the best Middle East restaurant. It's quick and delicious. I love the falafel bowl and falafel sandwich
(5)Ameer A.
Keep it up!
(5)Omar F.
Great place to get some good middle eastern food. - Very clean - Very quick - Decent variety - Good prices - Friendly staff Try the Steak Shawarma Damascus way if you're not sure what to get.
(5)Ashley G.
(5)Laura C.
(5)Chris S.
(5)Yaser T.
I'm from Damascus and let me tell you I haven't had falafel, chicken shawarma, tabbouleh and hummus this good in years! These are the items I've tried so far. I look forward to trying the rest of the menu very soon and hopefully often. Great work!
(5)Matthew P.
Best chicken schwarma wrap I've ever had. There's a lot of options to customize, but I just go with what the guy behind the counter recommends. Fiancée loves the falafel pita. Good coffee too. Came here after hiking around Waterfall Glenn and it really hit the spot. Will definitely be back after our next hike in this area. UPDATE: came back for the second time in two weeks and we both got the same thing. So good. So food.
(5)Dan P.
I am SO glad I found this place! The staff is super friendly, and the place is big and clean. Most importantly the food is high-quality and well priced, something you don't see much of these days. Now I can get my middle eastern fix anytime I want. Will be returning again and again!
(5)Skir S.
Amazing food I am so happy they serve vegan food and they even mark which foods are vegan! Food also tastes very good I like it that it's not too salty very healthy place
(5)Mark M.
Excellent, very fresh and healthy! I hope they expand to LaGrange or Hinsdale.
(5)Marilynn P.
(2)Gary E.
Absolutely delicious. This was my second time here and, like my first visit, it did not disappoint. A quiet place with quality food and good customer service all at a reasonable price. I couldn't ask for anything more.
(5)Jay W.
(5)Patrick D.
Think Chipotle fresh, quick serve then add falafel and Turkish influence and you get a great meal that even my 3 kids raved about. Awesome, affordable and unique. We will be back soon.
(5)Ryan B.
One of the best middle eastern places I've eaten at in IL. It's like Middle Eastern Chipotle. Fastest service of any middle eastern place I've been to in IL. Love the steak Shawarma wrap. Staff is very friendly and aren't stingy with the tahini which is a huge plus!
(5)Dan P.
(5)Cynthia L.
The food is delicious & the staff is friendly. Prices extremely fair. Go as often as you can.
(5)Waseem S.
(5)Jessica Z.
First time eating there tonight and i must say i was impressed. Its so fresh and tasty and im a very picky person when it comes to trying new things. Will go back again.
(5)Michael R.
(5)Susana M.
(5)Alex D.
(5)Balaji R.
Good quality food and great concept (Chipotle style middle eastern food). Would prefer just a couple more meat choices than just the shawarmas like koftes and kebabs.
(4)Nora K.
Great service, friendly staff, *clean* Middle Eastern restaurant with authentic shawarma and falafel!! So delicious, will definitely be back!
(5)Gosia Z.
(4)Dar J.
(5)Samah K.
Love this place. Not only is it close to home but it is zabiha halal. The options are delicious. Love the decor. Very clean and organized. They make the falafel fresh! Which i thought was amazing and something that makes it even more special. Definitely better than IDOF and Naf Naf grill.
(5)Jason Y.
Excellent.
(5)Alex F.
The food is fantastic. I live in the city and work nearby. There is nothing in the city that comes even close. Makes crappy days at work a lot better.
(5)Jen S.
Very friendly staff and delicious, fresh food! The Lentil soup warmed me from the inside out on this cold winter day.
(5)Laur G.
Love this place! The food is fresh and everyone that works here is very friendly. I order the chicken wrap every time. Their hummus is awesome.
(4)Malek N.
The best middle eastern restaurant in Chicago area. Highly recommended; specially the falafel and steak shawarma
(5)Jonathan H.
This place has the best falafel I've ever had. The platter is awesome and the hummus is amazing. Easy five star, will be back many more times.
(5)Yasmeen H.
(5)Abdel-Rahman Z.
Super, super friendly. Not as good as actual falafel from Damascus but still great food and great service!
(5)T M.
The chicken wrap with garlic sauce was great. Very friendly staff helped us order. Think mediterranean Chipolte, yum!
(4)Nancy G.
(5)Florence G.
(4)Carl G.
This was some of the best falafel I've ever had. The place could use some more advertising though. It is tucked away and not very easy to spot from the road.
(5)Wassim B.
Best shawarma sandwich I ever had outside Syria. Staff very nice and welcoming. Place is new and clean. My favorite is chicken shawarma wrap, damascus way. Steak Shawarma wrap, damascus way is also great.
(5)Brian L.
I don't think I've ever gotten so much good food for so little money. Sandwich had plenty of fresh vegetables, not like some places where you get some iceberg and 2 slices of tomato.
(5)Brian B.
(5)Jackie H.
A wonderful addition to the neighborhood! Fresh ingredients and wonderful service! These falafel are fantastic. I normally don't like falafel but these are perfect!
(5)Laura H.
This place is fabulous! It's 2 minutes from my house, clean, friendly staff and the food is so good! I crave this every damn day! I always get the chicken shawarma platter. So much food for such a low price. I hope they never close.
(5)Dave B.
(5)dale c.
(5)Dana R.
Such a great place! My family and I enjoyed it very much. The falafel is made fresh right in front of you. I had the falafel wrap the Damascus way and I tried some of my brothers chicken shawarma wrap they were both phenomenal. They should have more than one location!!
(5)Matthias O.
Hands down some of the best falafel I have ever had. And the hummus is perhaps the best my wife and I have ever eaten. Being recent transplants from Los Angeles, we have been looking for the best comfort food with the best quality. We found it here. We will be regulars for sure!
(5)O T.
The best chicken shawerma hands down. Fantastic falafel and a very wide choice of very fresh garnishes and sides. We will be regulars!
(5)Fiya S.
(5)Chico R.
Stopped in for the first time tonight. The flat bread sandwiches were outstanding! I loved the roasted red pepper humus on it. The restaurant was clean and the service with a smile made the evening all the more enjoyable. We will be back for sure!
(5)Adrianna W.
YUM.
(5)Lisa B.
(1)Mhd H.
(5)Hunyah B.
We love this new neighborhood restaurant!!! everything is SO fresh and delicious. Food is very flavorful and the staff is pleasant. They are not rude and give such generous portions. The falafels are the best I've had in a while!!!
(5)Elizabeth F.
(5)Frank G.
(5)Robert W.
Just stopped in to try something new and I got it. Where has this place been all my life. I only got a chicken sandwich and it was great. I'm going back soon to try it all.
(5)Jack L.
(5)Safia A.
(5)Adel M.
Excellent food, nice staff, nice location glad they opened by my house!
(5)Daniel D.
(5)Lolla S.
this is delicious food! Nice place to sit and enjoy a quick meal, or linger and get caught up. My friend had never had middle Eastern food like this, we were both surprised that he liked it so much. Love the baba ganoush.
(5)David M.
(5)Tracy O.
(5)Zainab S.
(5)Ann V.

Delicious food. Steak shawarma sandwich was phenomenal. Really liked the hummus bowl. Will be frequenting this place often.
(5)Katherine T.
Went today with several co-workers and we all left happy! Chicken Schwarma was a tad dry but the delicious flavors of the sauces and sides completely made up for it. I even took some falafel to go so I could have it tonight. We will definitely be back.
(4)Susana M.
(5)Alex D.
(5)Gosia Z.
(4)Dar J.
(5)Samah K.
Love this place. Not only is it close to home but it is zabiha halal. The options are delicious. Love the decor. Very clean and organized. They make the falafel fresh! Which i thought was amazing and something that makes it even more special. Definitely better than IDOF and Naf Naf grill.
(5)Omar F.
Great place to get some good middle eastern food. - Very clean - Very quick - Decent variety - Good prices - Friendly staff Try the Steak Shawarma Damascus way if you're not sure what to get.
(5)Ashley G.
(5)Brent S.
(5)Harshitha R.
Excellent food and ambience!! One of the best Middle East restaurant. It's quick and delicious. I love the falafel bowl and falafel sandwich
(5)Ameer A.
Keep it up!
(5)Mike O.
(5)Eugenio V.
The good: - very clean - food prep runs smooth and quick - enough variety of middle eastern choice - not expensive The bad: - no sampler to taste all.
(5)Patrick M.
Just happened to be passing by and stopped in here. Best falafel and chicken wrap I have ever had! Do yourself a favor and stop in, don't forget to get a side of red pepper hummus. Fantastic!
(5)Eric F.
(5)Irving W.
I had the falafel wrap, and it was wonderful! They have a nice variety of options for salads/sides and the garlic sauce is very good. The servers were friendly and helpful to my friend who had special dietary needs.
(5)Marilynn P.
(2)Gary E.
Absolutely delicious. This was my second time here and, like my first visit, it did not disappoint. A quiet place with quality food and good customer service all at a reasonable price. I couldn't ask for anything more.
(5)Jay W.
(5)Dan P.
(5)Cynthia L.
The food is delicious & the staff is friendly. Prices extremely fair. Go as often as you can.
(5)Laura C.
(5)Chris S.
So good. So food.
(5)M A.
Ate the chicken shawarma in the car, and it was worth the oil stain on my pants!!! Incredible. Steak shawarma could be juicier.
(5)Brian R.
(5)Michael R.
(5)Jessica Z.
First time eating there tonight and i must say i was impressed. Its so fresh and tasty and im a very picky person when it comes to trying new things. Will go back again.
(5)Younis Y.
(5)Jason Y.
Excellent.
(5)Waseem S.
(5)Jonathan H.
This place has the best falafel I've ever had. The platter is awesome and the hummus is amazing. Easy five star, will be back many more times.
(5)Yasmeen H.
(4)Nancy G.
(5)Florence G.
(5)Brian B.
(5)Dave B.
(5)dale c.
(5)Fiya S.
(5)Chico R.
Stopped in for the first time tonight. The flat bread sandwiches were outstanding! I loved the roasted red pepper humus on it. The restaurant was clean and the service with a smile made the evening all the more enjoyable. We will be back for sure!
(5)Adrianna W.
YUM.
(5)Ann V.
(3)Lisa B.
(1)Mhd H.
(5)Hunyah B.
We love this new neighborhood restaurant!!! everything is SO fresh and delicious. Food is very flavorful and the staff is pleasant. They are not rude and give such generous portions. The falafels are the best I've had in a while!!!
(5)Elizabeth F.
(5)Frank G.
(5)Robert W.
Just stopped in to try something new and I got it. Where has this place been all my life. I only got a chicken sandwich and it was great. I'm going back soon to try it all.
(5)Huzaifa T.
(4)Jack L.
(5)Safia A.
(5)Adel M.
Excellent food, nice staff, nice location glad they opened by my house!
(5)Daniel D.
(5)Lolla S.
this is delicious food! Nice place to sit and enjoy a quick meal, or linger and get caught up. My friend had never had middle Eastern food like this, we were both surprised that he liked it so much. Love the baba ganoush.
(5)David M.
(5)Tracy O.
