Veggie burgers are the best. veggie burgers have lettuce tomatoes mayo grilled onions and grilled mushrooms. the fries are generous, but UNHEALTHY. MODERATION.

Ok, hit the one in Crystal Lake a couple of days ago and the burger was very good, exceptional in fact. Tempted to bump up a star for the food quality. Once again, too expensive. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Shame on me. I ordered the exact same thing as last time and paid the same amount. I was thinking maybe I ordered a double and didn't remember. So I asked for the bacon cheese burger large fries and diet coke. Still 15 bucks and change. What? Looked at the receipt. FIVE bucks for a large fry. FIVE. I'm going to start calling these guys "Five Buck Fries" instead of Five Guys. Five bucks?? I'm a moron.

The burger was actually cooked well done when i wanted it to be! Fries good. Prices on the high side so not a regular place but I would return.

Burgers tasty but pretty greasy. Fries, okay. Music was pretty obnoxious. $14 for a burger, fries and a small coke are too high. Probably won't be back.

If I were pressed to choose my favorite burger, it might be Five Guys. My affinity for them began when they were a new thing around the East Coast (starting in DC I think?) A sudden abundance of locations found the appeal wearing thin, perhaps around 2009 or so. I spent some time feeling "over it," but now my love has returned and a sustainable affection will remain, I think. This location is the best I've been to in Chicagoland. Not only is the food spectacularly delicious, but the employees are quite friendly. I appreciate the smiles, eye contact, and occasional admiration of my small children. While the tables could perhaps use more frequent wiping, the facility is pretty clean and the restroom is excellent. The sink, paper towel dispenser, and changing table are above and beyond, especially for a casual burger joint.

What more can be said? All the free toppings you want on a fresh burger at a price that won't break the bank. And did I mention the fries? Fresh cut and fries to perfection!

I originally had five guys in Washington DC and I'm not sure what the big deal is about this place. It's an average burger place, yeah it's better the the big fast food places but when it comes to a quick burger portillos and steak and shake is way better

Love this place, fries are delicious, burgers just as good! All sorts of toppings to put on. Easy in and easy out great location!

Never a disappointment! The burgers are loaded with EVERYTHING! And this branch loads on the crispy bacon, too! Yum! No other chain can compare when it comes to the fries.

It always amazes me how chain restaurants differ from location to location. Loved my first visit to Five Guys in Schaumburg so much that I was there on the first day they opened near work in Joliet. So of course, I was expecting the same positive experience here, closer to home. Ooops! You know you're in trouble when the free peanuts are the best thing on the menu...... The burger was so greasy I could barely eat it and ditto for the fries. In fact, I threw some of it away and was still a little queasy for the rest of the evening. I'll give the Downers Grove location one more shot, but after having found the ultimate Smashburger in Elmhurst and the healthiest RevBurger in Carol Stream, I'm thinking I really don't need Five Guys for a burger fix anymore.

Best fast food burger around. So many toppings to choose from. And fries galore! This location is always very clean and the condiments well stocked. Yummy!

Went In with my girlfriend and had an amazing experience! Tony I think is the manager and the guy on the grill Andrew I think were AWSOME!!!!! So polite and helpful to us defiantly will be back again

Decent burgers, fast, and tasty. I appreciate the "little burger" options for when you don't need a MASSIVE meat fix. I also love their French fries, and the portions are insanely generous. It's greasy guilt-inducing fast food, but sometimes, that hits the spot!

Boring. Nothing new about the concept or the burger. Five guys, meatheads, that burger joint. All the same. $10 bland burgers. Even Wendys is better, agree with previous poster. Here's the plan, go to the store and buy two pounds of 93% ground beef, one package of kaiser rolls, lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. About $16 bucks. I now have some hearty beef burgers WITH some to share.

After hearing everyone rave revi about 5 Guys we decided to give it a shot. We've eaten at this restaurant 2 times now and I would agree the burger and fries are good I would have to say its over priced for what you get.

Here's meal price really expensive, fast food shops like people think the price is absolutely unacceptable, I might as well go dine restaurant, but something is very general, so there is nothing to attract me to come here to spend.

The fries were undercooked and way to salty. The burger was mushy and disgusting. If I didn't know better or wasn't told what I wad eating ...it would be hard to identify as a hamburger . The staff did not care I had a bad experience when the issue was brought up. I hope this place goes out of business ..or the dip wads who opened this place do some major training. On a smaller note, the music was way to loud.
