Yikes. A curly top or two hardly seem to justify the time for a review but in THIS case..... This owner or "manager" needs to pack up his dixie cups and leave town-- or be arrested! I had the bad luck to wander into the dump yesterday. I asked for a doggie dish--smallest serving--for my--you guessed it--dog. The surly "Proprietor" said he didn't know what I was talking about. (How odd. My dog is addicted to DQ and of the 50+ DQ's we've visited over the years, this is the first that "didn't know." In many states, they are free with an order.) Rather than argue with this butternut jerk, I asked for a small serving in a dish for which I paid full price of course. I also ordered a medium hot fudge sundae for myself to salve my frustration. :- P I received a smaller than small serving of ice cream with less than a dribble of thin runny chocolate--NOT anything close to hot fudge.No whip cream. no nuts. When I asked for the rest of my "sundae," he grunted "cost extra." And where is THAT stated on your menu? I enquired. "Just cost extra." Throughly charmed, I tossed the "sundae" in the garbage can but did retrieve the other dish for my dog who took three licks and turned his back. Guess the ole Butterfield DQ really isn't fit for man or beast. The one who owns/runs it should move on to something better than cheating kids, puppies, and nasty old ladies like me. LOL. Choose Glen Ellyn DQ or the downtown Wheaton DQ . They haven't been taken over by LowLifes.

Hard to screw up ice cream. Tastes like every other DQ I've been to, but I will agree with other reviewers, they skimp on the ingredients here. Store is located in a hidden strip mall, so it's hard to find, not that you necessarily will want to find it.

I struggle to even give this sorry excuse for a business one star. We went out of our way on Dairy Queen's anniversary because they were giving out "free small ice cream cones all day." Well we get there and the lady says they are out of small cones, so if we want ice cream we have to PURCHASE a medium cone. Begrudgingly, we did, and then she only filled it half way because they were "running out of ice cream because of the big day." ....... Excuse me? We just PAID for ice cream and you are skimping on the product? Unbelievable. Stay away. The less business this place gets the better, and then maybe a real ice cream place will open up instead. What a joke.

Dirty and the woman this evening making my cone took the cash then no hand washing. Yuk. I watched to ensure she didn't actually touch the cone but the sleeve on the cone. Whew. Then watched her dip the chocolate still no touching of food but honestly shouldn't she wash or wear gloves? I accepted the cone and headed out the door. I turned around because I wanted a cup to catch drips and as I turned around she had a handful of "toppings" in her hand stuffing her mouth! Gross! We will never stop at this location again. She was a woman - no teenager so I have much higher expectations. I would have mentioned my disapproval of the actions to teach the teen a lesson on clean food prep and delivery. Instead I let it go and decided a review here is much more powerful than my words to her which would have gone ignored. Find another DQ when you want a quick ice cream. This place is not worth stopping.

I've been to other dairy queens,this owner likes to skimp on the ingredients. My order was not filled to the size of the cup it was less then 2/3 full. We had to ask for the whipped cream and they didn't put the powdered cinnamon on top. And the wasn't much candy pieces in the soft serve. It was mostly soft serve that didnt taste right either. Store looked dirty and run down
