My very first Sushi experience and this place made it best. We had Shrimp Shumai,Sake,Spicy crab cake roll,Albacore,Chicago fire roll. All of them were great in taste,I loved Chicago fire roll, spicy and sour.... This place shouldn't be missed!!!

Good place, good food. I'm not always in the mood for sushi, but when the yearning would hit me, this was one of my go-to places in the area. They also have some pretty good standard Japanese fare, too. Service and food were always great. Yet another thing I miss about living in the western suburbs of Chicago.

I came here for an early lunch on a weekday. It was around $20 for a maki roll, 2 pieces of nigiri and green tea. I don't find that unreasonable but it was not my best sushi experience. The fish to rice ratio was sad and the rice was dry like maybe it hadn't been made fresh that day. Perhaps I should give it another try when the restaurant is busier like during dinnertime.

I've been coming to Sushi House for upwards of 11 years now. Yikes. When I was in high school, my boyfriend (now husband) and I came here probably every weekend for 2 years. He introduced me to sushi and we would always order a nigiri sampler (and ask them to cut each piece in half. I still can't believe we would do that) and then order a couple additional rolls. We haven't lived in Chicagoland since 2008, but I still love coming to Sushi House when we are in the area visiting our parents. Even though a lot of my love is nostaglia, Sushi House is still my favorite for the sushi itself. I've been spoiled because very few sushi restaurants have the spread and creativity that Sushi House has. They have a 2 page list of just custom, unique rolls on top of the typical rainbow roll, spider roll, etc etc. The restaurant has cute and cozy decor and while the front room can be loud, dining in the back is usually much quieter. Service is always very polite and quick. I'll definitely always visit Sushi House when I'm in the area.. and try not to roll my eyes whenever I visit a new sushi place that doesn't compare to the variety that Sushi House offers.

After a stressful afternoon at the dealership, the last thing i wanted was a hassle or more stress. I received the opposite. This place is rock solid!! Very calming atmosphere. Amazing ginger salad and sushi as well. (The dragon) Kind and polite staff that really know how to make the customer feel welcome. I'll be back here over and over again. Awesome job guys. Keep up the good work.

I dined at Sushi House Westmont last night with my sister and a friend and I was impressed! It's a small place but very comfortable and calm. Our waitress was really helpful with recommendations, I highly recommend the 2014 roll, the Baja roll and the Hawaiian roll and we had one other that I can't remember but they were excellent! Their Sushi Chefs are amazing. If you are in the area try this place out!

Thumbs up for the shushi... not so much for the Chinese food. The seafood was fresh (we had the salmon, the tuna and other sashimi). Also the spicy tuna roll. All great, as was the service. Only complaint: we ordered pork fried rice and the pork tasted rancid (not fresh at all). That said... you don't go to a Sushi house for the Chinese. We'll be back.

After frequently visiting their sister restaurant by the same name in (AAAAAaaaaaaaahhhh!!!) La Grange about a gazillion times, we finally made our way out to the Westmont spot recently to fill ourselves with what we would like to say should be their signature item. No, it is not sushi/sashimi/maki... Not that the raw fish that is served here is not worthy of trying, because it actually is quite good. It's just that this slowly growing chain does probably the best nabeyaki udon in the Chicago area. Unctuous, warming, and completely satisfying on a cool/cold day, this fish-based soup with those thick, chewy udon noodles is damn near perfect. My only complaint is that my egg was completely cooked through (it's really tough to serve it as a perfectly poached egg considering how hot the dish comes out), and I really missed my slices of fish cake that I've grown accustomed to at Sushi House in La Grange.

I've lived in the area for almost two decades, and I finally paid a visit here a couple weeks ago. It was a Monday night for a party of two, and we got seated immediately. The service was quick and the staff was friendly. The sushi was very fresh and tasted amazing. I can't wait to be back!!

I got four special rolls: aloha albacore, crazy lobster roll, turtle roll, spicy crab cake and an iced tea. I can't remember which was which but I think crazy lobster roll was my favorite and whichever one had eel in it, was a no-go. The iced tea was green iced tea. It was surprisingly good! They do not serve any type of lemonade or juice which I was bummed about.

My favorite sushi restaurant in the suburbs! Hurry... Go get a Godzilla roll, or anything else from the menu. I have never been disappointed in anything I have gotten! You will not be disappointed!

I have been to a ton of different sushi restaurants, and this is hands down my favorite restaurant. Yes it is a little expensive, but it is worth the occasional splurge because it was delicious. Pretty good service and always delivers the same quality food. I recommend the spicy squid salad, Godzilla roll, Chicago fire roll, sexy Mexican roll, and temptunava roll. And for a treat you can get the little icecream moshi balls on a stick! Yum

We had our sushi delivered and it was fine, but nothing outstanding. The prices were definitely not inexpensive so I was hoping for a bit of excitement. It was just a meal.

Absolutely one of my favorite sushi restaurants. I've been to a lot of places in the city far more expensive than Sushi House, but none of them had fish quite as fresh or rolls quite as creative. The staff is so friendly and helpful, and they have these AMAZING wasabi peanuts that they give you at the start of your meal that they make homemade. that are just addicting. All in all it's a lovely sushi restaurant, one I will continue to frequent!

I was visiting from Canada and ordered sushi from this place as delivery. The woman who answered the phone was incredibly rude and condescending. They don't have an easily viewable menu so I had some questions for her. She was impatient, short with her answers, and made me feel like my business was not appreciated. I do not recommend this place based in the horrible service I received as an out of town guest.

I am pretty generous with reviews usually, but not this place. I have no idea how the other reviewers are basing their opinions.... The waitress was a jerk. The nigiri was weak. The rolls were a glob of random things + mayo. The chinese food on the menu sucked pretty bad too (one of them was burnt??-and the waitress didn't care). This place was just horrible. I love sushi/japanese food and these guys just imitate. I can usually tolerate mediocrity, but not at this price. The service was the final nail in the coffin.

This is the second time I have been to Sushi House. My first time was at the one located in Wheaton. The main thing I like about this place is that they basically let me create the sushi roll that I like and WILL eat. :) I am NOT a fan of raw fish so I usually order cooked shrimp rolls and have them add cream cheese and avocado in it. It is SO yummy! There were a couple more that caught my eye so maybe next time I will experiment. I ate two rolls at dinner so why am I hungry again!? Oh yeah sushi does that to you if you don't pig out. :) My bf ordered ok wait...... he had FOUR rolls. LOL. He LOVES his sushi. First off was the California roll. Then a tuna one and salmon. He ended the dinner trying the yellow tail with green onions roll. That one was by far his favorite. He said the fish was VERY fresh and def something to order when in season. Ahhh yes I was also in a good way shocked how many families came in with thier kids. I guess sushi is the IN thing now for kids. A group of 8 teenage girls came in as we left too. Pretty busy place for a Tuesday night. This location is tucked back in a strip mall off of Ogden Avenue. The one thing that was strange until after dinner was that walking in the place it looks SO small. We never knew there was a bigger, nicer side of it closed off by a curtain until I went to use the restroom. So then of course you realize the place is not super small. I want to sit on the other side next time. It just looked more cozy and comfortable. Service was good too but a LITTLE more friendly in Wheaton. Happy to see they have several locations to try out so I will be back.

Every time I go it is during my diet cleanse and they are more than accommodating! No matter how many modifications i ask for, even though i hate doing this considering i have been a server most of my life. Then on my last visit i heard that they deliver, now this means i cant sit in the cubby hole (i don't know the proper name) by the front door, i will be enjoying sushi house more often!

Sushi house is hands down, my favorite sushi restaurant in the suburbs. The rolls are inventive, beautifully done and delicious. Their fish is incredibly fresh and the menu is very diverse. I like that I can order soft shell crab and kung pao chicken of the Chinese menu, and a plethora of sushi rolls. My favorites are the spicy angel roll (shrimp tempura, chopped spicy octopus (weird, but awesome. Just try it) rolled in spicy scallop and avocado. It's awesome. I also love the Chicago fire roll, its spicy tuna, wrapped in seaweed, dipped in tempura batter then flashed fried, served in ponzu sauce and chili oil. You have to love spicy but it is tasty. The ambiance is lovely. There are 2 tatami rooms (where you sit on the floor), a sushi bar and 2 sides of dining tables with one side being a little more spacious and romantic. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are craving some quality sushi or tasty Chinese food in a date-worthy atmosphere.

This has been my families local sushi spot for possibly a decade ( 7 years for sure). I've seen it go through various owners/head sushi chefs, all of which add their own flair. George is the current man in charge behind the counter and he is not only totally PRESH, but he makes delicious rolls. He really plays up the artistry/presentation in his rolls and changes specials monthly based on the season. For example, around halloween, he had a halloween sushi roll that was i believe white tuna and some other stuff, rolled in black and orange masago, w/ a shot of dry ice so it was smoking and looking all haunted. Delicious and playful. The service has been and continues to be exceptional---keep going back and they get friendly, let you sample experimental rolls, and other little perks like that.

This place cut a little different for the other pro forma sushi places. They have a larger Chinese menu with things like Peking Duck for appetizers. The sushi is equivalent with other sushi places and does not distinguish itself. The dining room is more comfortable with one traditional Japanese table in the corner. My wife, who odes not eat sushi, ordered a dish (with a name I cannot remember) and raved about it.

YUM YUM SHUSHI! - This place is really good and it actually doesn't close during those strange in-between hours from Lunch to Dinner! What do they do from 2:30 to 5 anyways? I did not give it 5 stars because I reserve that for the best of the best - but this place is pretty darn close - Definitely coming back again and honestly - I give it 4.5 stars - you gotta go. I will post suggestions for rolls later - I can't remember right now - but everything we had was great and their ingredients are prime!

The waiter took us to a hibachi grill when we told him we were here for sushi. I didn't want to be rude, but I came for a couple rolls wanted to leave. We saw the menu and after telling the waiter that we were here for sushi, he still never gave us the sushi menu. I was getting to my edge because the waiter was very rude and was pushing to serve us only off the grill. Thankfully no costumers were around. We politely got up and told the waiter we were at the wrong restaurant where we were meeting our friends. Con's: Over priced hibachi grill Service pretty much sucked. I understand they were just opening for lunch time, but the mop bucket was still out. Sadly walking into a Japanese Steak House and Sushi all you find on the menu is more than half Chinese.

I'm picky about sushi. This place is FANTASTIC I love their sushi and their teriyaki samon is soooo good. My favorite is the 8951 Roll ( i think those are the numbers?) Godzilla roll, Temptunava, Hawaii Roll, Unagi Roll. And of course the California roll. Their miso soup is also to die for. Squid salad is the best, we usually get the mild but I love the spicy. (but it is pretty spicy) Their ice cream dessert things are good!

Now here is a good place for sushi in the western burbs. Whether you come here for lunch or dinner or order take-out, this place has some of the freshest sushi around. This particular location is the one of 5 Sushi House's in the burbs. This is the original and has been serving up great tasting food since 1995. Since then, they have branched out to Wheaton, La Grange, Naperville and there is also one in Kansas (just a little past Naperville, turn left- Hah!!) I am a sushi devotee and I will put this up against any that I have had in the more expensive places in the city. If I am there for lunch, I usually have the sushi luncheon special where for about $15 you get seven pieces of the chef's sushi choice for the day along with a California roll and soup. Perfect for a break from work. For dinner- I like all the rolls- the spicy tuna and spicy salmon are my favs along with maguro and hamachi nigiri. I have yet to try any of the dinner entrees but they have a wide range of choices on the menu. All in all- there is a reason that this place got Chicago Magazine's 2005 rating for one of the top 15 sushi spots in the city. Hey- come to think of it-it's not even in the city- so think of it as having to overcome two challenges!

We came here on the Saturday before Memorial day. At 3 in the afternoon we had the place to ourselves. I felt like they should start singing ala Chiristmas Story. We were over served which was great. They kept coming by to pour my friends Sapporo. Is this what it's like to be rich? They started us out with a spicy eel salad that was awsome. The miso soup was very good. We had the crunchy roll, spicy salmon, volcano roll, raw power and temtunave roll. The volcano was a little fishy tasting as it was under a broiler. But everything else was fabulous. I love the little window seat. I will have to get a group together and try it out.

This place has better sushi than a lot of places in LA and SF. It may be in a strip mall, but it serves fresh fish, has the best niku udon I've ever had, good ambiance and great service. I usually get the sashimi and it's always fresh and delicious. They also have great rolls - nothing too trendy but they'll make whatever you request. Don't forget to get mochi for dessert!

I would have to say this is the best sushi I've ever had. I've tried most everything on the sushi menu, but my favorites typically end up being the specials that they are offering. So fresh, it tastes like they caught it in the ocean out back. Kind of pricey, but typically sushi tends to be. Great place for a date night. Came in later on a Saturday about 8:30 and it was not crowded at all.

I thought the sushi here was very average. I tried the dragon roll, spicy tuna roll, and some kind of crunch roll. The dragon roll was probably the best out of them all, but the other two were bland. The crunch roll needed some kind of sauce to liven it up, because it was definitely lacking in flavor. Not the worst I've ever had, but not the best. The bento boxes people were ordering looked a lot better than the sushi, so if I ended up coming back here I think I would opt for one of those.

I rated this 5 stars for several reasons. 1st, some people have posted reviews here who obviously do not eat sushi or Chinese food very often and rated it 3 stars for bad reasons (well, ok, not "bad" reasons, but reasons I don't agree with, I admit it!) 2nd, I know the some of the people who work here (one waitress, Katy, is the wife of Katy's Dumpling House owner down the street, my favorite hand pulled Chinese noodle shop). And I get to practice my Chinese as the owner and staff are almost all Chinese. (Hey, many sushi places are manned by Chinese or Koreans, it's not all Japanese who make great Sushi) 3rd, George (Wang Jin) is awesome! (see I agree with some reviewers here) He really knows his stuff and will take you on a tour of the various fish they have in, and exactly which species of tuna you are eating (whether your maguro is yellow-fin, big eye or blue-fin). 4th, The service is outstanding here and they always have tons of special rolls that are not on the menu, so ask! And it's not just that I speak in Chinese to them, they are genuinely very very nice to everyone. And 5th (for the 5th star, I suppose) the sushi is very very very good for the western suburbs of Chicago. Go ahead and enjoy your 'all-you-can-eat' shopping mall sushi buffet, but you get what you pay for when you pay for sushi. The best sushi I have ever had, I had in Japan (you thought I was going to say Sushi House, didn't you?) at a private party with a client (NTT) and their customer (Epson) in Nagano. It was basically a gastronomic sushi orgasm. Is Sushi House that good? No. Of course not. I have also been to some great sushi restaurants in Tokyo. Is it that good? Maybe, but probably not. I would say it's on par with a good west coast sushi place, which, for Chicago and the suburbs is saying something! It's really good sushi that is sushi pricey with really good service. I don't go often enough because I am not filthy rich. I usually go with people who are going to probably fork over $30-$50 per person for a lot of really good sushi (although they have less expensive lunch specials, etc. I think). But the people who work here really like what they do and they are good at it. You will enjoy yourself, as many many people who go here regularly do. Enjoy

3.5 stars Was here for dinner. We had the unagi roll and Hotate (scallop) sushi and other dinner entrees. The quality of their sushi is pretty good. Rolls are smaller than what I'm use to but I guess that is how they should be. The sushi rice was a little on the hard side. Other than that, unagi had great flavor and really fresh scallops. Udon was pretty standard. Nice clear broth. Not overly salty or overpowered by msg. Service was exceptional. Very attentive.

I am a big fan of this place and I consider myself a bit of a sushi snob. This isn't a place that specializes in rolls you've never heard of or makes your sushi look like a centipede. This is a real sushi retaurant and they do an excellent job. I had ikura, spicy scallop rolls, unagi, sake, and saba. All were very fresh and perfectly sized. The miso soup was great and the service is always warm and attentive. I'm not positive, but I think this is a mini chain. If it is I hope the others are at the same high level.

OK to qualify this review, we visited on the weekend so maybe the food wasn't very fresh by then but it was pretty shockingly bad. My husband is a sushi/sashimi lover and we lived in Seattle for 5 years so he has had some pretty fresh fish. We ordered some sushi including some CA rolls and zaru soba. The CA rolls were HUGE but so sloppily rolled and cut, I almost lost my appetite. I have never seen such ugly rolls before. It's like the chef slopped the roll together and slashed it into pieces. The sushi was not very meticulously made and not the best quality. We've been to many sushi restaurants and eaten many rolls but these were by far the sloppiest. We knew right away that this restaurant was going to be poor quality food. I would bet anyone that the chef was not a "real" sushi trained chef and that an authentic Japanese trained chef would throw him out of their restaurant in 2 seconds after seeing his handiwork. Any restaurant that hires a poor quality chef will also serve poor quality food and will likely be cutting a lot of corners. To move onto the Zaru Soba. We also eat a lot of soba. The quantity of noodles that came out again was VERY large. The quality, however, was awful--the noodles were poor quality (you can tell by the ratio of flour filler to actual buckwheat and their noodles were of cheaper quality than the ones I buy from H-mart), bloated and they totally watered down the soba sauce to the point that the sauce needed salt. Even the side garnishes (grated radish) were old tasting. We had visited the Wheaton Sushi house several times and had found their Zaru soba and sushi of good quality, so we were excited to find a closer location but boy were we disappointed. I realized that each Sushi house is run independent of any minimum standards of quality. This one is a Chinese version of sushi (as evidenced by the Chinese chef and workers and the large Chinese menu options). For the average eater you'd find it OK but if you are a genuine sushi purist, you will be disappointed and maybe even offended at brutal sushi "slashing" that goes on here. Save your money because this place isn't cheap. Go try the Wheaton Sushi House instead for more authentic Japanese food. For a closer and cheaper option, we also find Yamado sushi on Ogden waaaay better and the chef is clearly better trained and the difference in quality undeniable.

A solid slightly above average sushi spot in the western suburbs - I'd probably rate it more like 3.5 stars if I could. I think their sushi is pretty standard stuff - good, but not mind-blowing stuff. I've ordered from here a couple of times as well as eaten inside the restaurant, and I am always trying to figure out how they got the Best of the western suburbs tag - I guess there's not much competition. I am always comparing sushi to my favorite place, Sushi Nest in Elmhurst, and many other places pale in comparison (except Toro and a couple of other city places). Their sushi here is fresh - the maguro was buttery and melt in your mouth soft. But their take on the spicy salmon roll and negi hamachi was just okay. Cute, intimate dining area makes this place a good bet if you are in the area.

Sushi is good, not great. Service is always adequate, not friendly. I come here when I'm in the area, and after several visits and a variety of sushi choices, adequate. The sushi chefs seem shy as they never engage with customers, neither at the bar or when leaving.

Sushi House is truly the best sushi you can find in the Western Suburbs. The fish is ALWAYS fresh, they continuously create new innovative dishes and special rolls, not to mention the staff is always fantastic. From the formal dining room to the front room, from tea rooms to the sushi bar, all these different sections within the restaurant provide wonderful atmosphere for any type customer.

Very good sushi for the area and one of the few that delivers to the Oakbrook Marriott. Delivery was on time, and in fact early! They did give us an estimated time of 1 hour though. I ordered the Chicago fire roll (which I wasn't a fan of), but the Ebi Ten and Dragon and Spider rolls were delicious. Their other regular rolls (such as salmon, inari, unagi, etc.) were also on par. The raw fish tasted fresh and the shrimp tempura was crunchy.

Usually I am pretty skeptical about sushi (or any seafood for that matter) when you're not paying big bucks in the city or eating in on the coastline. Sushi House is absolutely AMAZING! I was shown this hidden gem by my sister-in-law and I couldn't have been happier! Decently priced, the staff is super friendly, and if I'm in a rush, I can usually get in and out, paid and all, in 20 minutes. Go. It's worth it!

After a long day of Christmas shopping, my husband and I stopped at Sushi House-Westmont. It was so good! It's a cute little restaurant tucked away in a strip mall but I'm so glad we found it. The food was delicious, sushi was so fresh and the service was great. I definitely recommend this sushi bar for locals.

I have been coming to sushi house for about 12 years now. The customer service and sushi quality are typically excellent. This last time however, left me pretty unimpressed. The waitress was rushed even thought there were various empty tables at the restaurant and they had plenty of staff. We waited well around 40 minutes when we obviously started to feel antsy and she noticed. She came over and apologized for the delay and then we noticed she forgot all about us because she THEN put in the order. It still took about 25 minutes on top of that so it was a full hour before we got our sushi. By that time we were so hungry that what we ordered didn't fill us but we were too scared to order more for fear of the long wait. Nothing was offered to make up for the clearly weak service and considering we are recognized patrons when we go and have literally spent thousands of dollars at this establishment, it left us feeling unappreciated.

Outstanding staff, great rolls and they will even make my favorites long after they retire them from the menu! CRAZY LOBSTER ROLL AND SEXY SUSIE ARE THE BEST!!!!! I love Sushi House and I am glad they are always there for my take out and eat it sushi needs.

The name of the restaurant is misleading. While they serve sushi and other Japanese food, all the waitstaff and chefs are Chinese. I found the sushi average (most make rolls include mayo--yuck). But the Chinese food is quite tasty. They serve dan dan mian, one of my favorite noodle dishes, and a perfectly balanced mapo tofu. They are very accomdating in customizing dishes if you don't eat certain things listed in the dish. The prices are a bit costly. If they concentrated on Chinese dishes and just ditched the sushi, the restaurant would be awesome. I'd rather go to Yokohama for sushi in Westmont, but when I'm in the mood for northern Chinese food, this is a good bet.

Three strong stars for Sushi House! The sashimi is wonderful and fresh; the quality of the sushi is superior to many typical sushi restaurants. Only downside is that the service can be on or off; however, they are always extremely accommodating. Overall, Sushi House is a consistent treat.

Expensive. There was a sign on the door declaring Sushi House the best of the west suburbs in '06. I thought it was good but not amazing. It's quite nice on the inside and they had a large selection of premium sake and wine. The miso was nice and full flavored, but only came with my meal because I got a nigri dinner combo. Plus I hate paying for tea at a Japanese restaurant even if it is only a buck. $6 for a california roll sets the mood for the pricing and my 10 pieces of nigiri w/tuna roll was $22. The fish was good and each piece was different, but I also don't love the hidden wasabi under the fish on my nigiri which every piece had including the shrimp. My squid was a bit tough too. Overall I had a good meal, but not what I would call Best of the West.

I ate here over the weekend with a few friends. It was slow but so is the economy! The wait staff really nice and was very generous! I liked the atmosphere and the environment seemed pretty clean. The food was served in a delicate manner and very artsy, but that's what sushi is known for. I had the California rolls, and the sesame chicken which was actually really tasty! I'd go back here for sure! The only reason I went there is because we had a coupon for $20 and our bill for 3 people was about $60 so that's not bad at all, especially for sushi because it can get quite expensive! I also noticed that the sushi was small. Meaning, I could fit the whole thing into my mouth all at once. I usually take 2-3 bites before I can fit a whole sushi roll in my mouth so it's not a lot for what you pay for but it is really good sushi from my experience! If you ask for iced tea they will give you a tall glass of green tea and green tea is not that flavor-full so you might want to order something else. But I should've known when it's not an American cuisine! The dessert here is really good here to but you don't get a lot....I ordered the mango it says that you get 2 servings but you actually get 4 bite-size pieces! That wasn't enough when I was thinking 2 big mangos. Everything here is a small serving so don't come hungry.

This is one of the smaller Sushi Houses. Sushi Apartment would probably me a more accurate name. The name obviously doesn't matter. The sushi is delicious. There is an excellent lunch menu. Two rolls for 11 bucks is a great deal-and the rolls are of generous size. Good eel, good salmon. I only get sushi at sushi joints, but the menu contains other Japanese entrees. This is a fun and tasty place to go to get away from work for an hour.

I've eaten here for years, so about time I give 'em some props! A touch of elegance with great sushi in a small cozy restaurant in a strip mall of off Ogden Ave. Maybe I'm old, but I like a restaurant where I can hear the other person eating with you. You can do that here. My fav: The Best of 2013 roll, the spicey octopus salad, hot tea, and miso soup. Only reason they're not 5 stars, my miso soup was served warm(not hot) on one occasion. Very nice people working there always nice and smile a lot. I've become a regular.

Great Place for some Good Sushi- They will make what you want! The owners are very accommodating. The food was beautifully displayed and the attention to detail with the sauces made it very artsy. We ordered Tempura appitizer,5 Sushi rolls(crunchy,Godzilla and Veggie which were all divine. We ordered 3 glasses of wine 3 soft drinks and ,2 salads for a tota 83.00 I thought this was very reasonable since there were 6 of us. We sat at the table in the front/window you must take off your shoes and leave them on the stairs which really plays up the experiance-ambieance is nice (minus the American touch of a Flat Screen Tv(big) When you look at the table it looks like you would need to sit on your knee's ,but it is a actual booth with a cut out for your legs. I have been back several times and still find the same service and food quality--YummE

Excellent food! The best sushi in the local area. It's a little pricey, but the quality and taste is great. Staff is attentive.

One of the better sushi places in the western burbs. It's a good mix of good sushi and good value. You can probably find fancier sushi and can definitely find cheaper sushi, but Sushi House in Westmont gives both value and good product. They also always give warm friendly service. I think this was the first "Sushi House" and now there are 4 or 5 locally. The Westmont location is by far the best. BTW stay away from the LaGrange location. Service was abysmal.

In the 14 years I have been coming to Sushi House, I have always had a great experience. The fish is always fresh. It may not have the depth of menu of some of the sushi restaurants in downtown Chicago, but the quality is good. Love the Godzilla rolls. Kid-friendly, but there is a limited menu for little ones. Service is consistently friendly and prompt. Take-out food is usually ready for pickup in 20 minutes.

I am a sushi fan and this is by far the best and most authentic sushi I have had in the US. It is also very friendly on the pocketbook.

This is an interesting mix of Japanese and Chinese food. The sushi is high quality. Many of the dishes, however, are Chinese dishes, and in my mind not really up to standard. An exception is the pine nuts and mixed chicken. The service is very good.

(5)Tonya K.
Ordered Chicago Fire Roll was not appetizing asked to swap out was told no had to keep it. Not goid with customer service at all and will not return.
(1)Tuttysan S.
(4)Reuben H.
(4)Stephanie H.
I've lived in the area for almost two decades, and I finally paid a visit here a couple weeks ago. It was a Monday night for a party of two, and we got seated immediately. The service was quick and the staff was friendly. The sushi was very fresh and tasted amazing. I can't wait to be back!!
(5)Shin M.
(4)Dawn S.
My favorite sushi restaurant in the suburbs! Hurry... Go get a Godzilla roll, or anything else from the menu. I have never been disappointed in anything I have gotten! You will not be disappointed!
(4)Abby M.
Yum
(4)J Z.
We had our sushi delivered and it was fine, but nothing outstanding. The prices were definitely not inexpensive so I was hoping for a bit of excitement. It was just a meal.
(2)Julie B.
(5)Para K.
(1)K P.

(4)Crystal A.
(5)Janet H.

Very friendly people....good!
(5)Jaime S.
(5)Dan R.
(4)Marty G.
(4)Miguel E.
(1)Lulu K.
Sashimi lunch combo was only ok but the specialty rolls are awesome!!!
(4)Kelly B.

(5)barbara b.
(5)Caitlin G.
(4)Chelsea M.
(3)Ed T.
Enjoy

Good food+good service+good people=great place

3.5 stars Was here for dinner. We had the unagi roll and Hotate (scallop) sushi and other dinner entrees. The quality of their sushi is pretty good. Rolls are smaller than what I'm use to but I guess that is how they should be. The sushi rice was a little on the hard side. Other than that, unagi had great flavor and really fresh scallops. Udon was pretty standard. Nice clear broth. Not overly salty or overpowered by msg. Service was exceptional. Very attentive.
(3)Linda W.
(4)Sage M.
(1)Tina T.
(3)Doug W.
Sushi is good, not great. Service is always adequate, not friendly. I come here when I'm in the area, and after several visits and a variety of sushi choices, adequate. The sushi chefs seem shy as they never engage with customers, neither at the bar or when leaving.
(2)Patrick E.
Good stuff! I'll be back!
(4)Patrick S.
A pleasant surprise and awesome to find this good of a sushi spot outside of the city. Will def be back!
(5)Bruno D.
This place is top notch. Been here twice and the quality of sushi is awesome and really fresh. They also have a couple group tables that are traditional Japanese style on floor elevated slightly
(5)Elizabeth G.
(5)Liz C.
(4)Nick V.
(5)Lisa N.
(4)Cynthia A.
(3)Jim T.
(5)Greg H.
Great! I tried for the first time today. The atmosphere and sushi were fantastic. The service couldn't of been better. The waitress even suggested some sushi I should try if I return. I will definitely be returning!
(4)Susan B.
(3)LM S.
Three strong stars for Sushi House! The sashimi is wonderful and fresh; the quality of the sushi is superior to many typical sushi restaurants. Only downside is that the service can be on or off; however, they are always extremely accommodating. Overall, Sushi House is a consistent treat.
(3)Ãle S.
overpriced but good.
(3)eric s.
The sushi was good. Very fresh. The rolls were just Ok. Edamami was good. Nice interior and decor. A step above your typical storefront sushi bar. Service was spotty. Would try it again.
(3)Tad L.
went here for Christmas Eve. Service was excellent. We had their Spider, and also their Christmas Sushi. They were excellent!
(5)Brett I.
(3)Michelle T.
(4)Eric F.
