Date of Original Review: 09/07/2014 Date of Updated Review: 09/16/2014 Since August 2014, I stop here about 4-6 times per week on my way to work from Round Lake to Lake Zurich. The staff is always very friendly and the food and beverages are almost always fresh and perfectly made. I have had very few problems with this DD location, though some problems have included the shop being out of a specific product type (1 instance), an under-cooked doughnut (1 instance), receiving the wrong product (2 instances), and seldom an under-sweetened (improperly prepared) beverage (several instances).

Great coffee and friendly service. Always fresh. This brand new dunkin is at the intersection of rout 12 and 120. Very busy area but plenty of parking and a fast drive through. I actually wrote a review for this location but I think the address is wrong. I was surprised when I checked inn it was my first time and I've been many times to this location. Anyways I love this place and will be back always

Terrible Service: I recently moved to the area, so I just discovered this Dunkin about a week ago. In the past week, I have gone 2 times. The first time, I ordered a chicken sandwich on a pretzel bun. When I got to the window, they informed me they were out of the buns. No big deal- it happens, right? Well, a few minutes ago, I went there to order the same sandwich and yet again, they were out of the buns. Ok, just give me a chicken biscuit. But of course, they were out of biscuits as well! The girl on the drive thru mic was rude and impatient, and didn't seem to want to speak clearly into the mic. She spoke so quickly and sounded so distracted that we kept having to ask her to repeat herself. Finally, after completing what felt like a hostage negotiation, she just said "OK pull around to the window" very rudely. Not once did she mind her P's and Q's. This place is the closest drive through to my house, but I will not be taking my business here any longer.
I had a wonderful experience at the Volo Dunkin' Donuts a few moments ago. It started when I picked up my kids from elementary school. My daughter was craving a donut and wanted to go to Dunkin' Donuts. It was supposed to be a very fast trip because they have gymnastics tonight. We were almost done, when my son decided he wanted the extra sprinkles that had fallen from his little sister's donut onto the table. She didn't want to share (you know how much little kids love sprinkles) and when his playful attempt to grab a few ended with the sprinkles on the floor, she looked about ready to cry. I gave her a hug and said, "Don't worry, mama can fix anything." I told the two guys at the counter about what happened hoping there was a way I could buy her a handful of sprinkles. They not only gave both kids a cup of sprinkles each they offered my daughter a fresh donut, too. I refused the donut at first because the other one had been fine, but they smiled and insisted it was on the house. The funniest part is that my daughter's second donut was chocolate glazed without a single sprinkle on it! I'm glad to say that I left there with two very happy kids in tow.

This store doesn't know the meaning of hustle. There will be a line of cars all the way out to 120 and no one picks up the pace.

While staying with my cousin in Crystal Lake, I tried to use google maps to find a close Dunkin Donuts to get coffee. This location didn't even come up! My cousin told me this one was closer than the ones that came up on my phone. There was a huge line, so I went inside to order a donut and a coffee. While I was ordering, the man (looked and sounded like the manager) was barely paying attention to my order because he was preoccupied with trying to tell another worker how to make a specialty drink. After ordering, I waited over 5 minutes to get my coffee!! Everyone was busy talking behind the counter and micromanaging each other. I couldn't believe that between 6 people behind the counter, they couldn't manage to get me a coffee with just cream and sugar in less than 5 minutes! I finally had to interrupt and ask for my coffee and a nice young guy named Jer Bear said he would grab it for me. The coffee wasn't great, just okay. Not as good as it normally is. The chocolate long john that I ordered tasted old and stale. Yuck. I love Dunkin Donuts, but this location sucks!
