Pretty sure the other reviews do not know what good quality food tastes and feels like. This place serves "spongy white meat chicken". Chicken should not have rebound reponse to pressure and appear fiberless. Although their food supplier is probably selling it to them as white meat but they should still check the quality regardless. Otherwise great service.

If you looking for an amazing meal, this definitely your place. Food choices we great for the entire family. Everyone shared an order of crab ragoons and dumplings. Kids shared hands down best orange chicken I've ever had. Hubby choose mongolian beef and I had the seafood sizzler. Flavor of both were fantastic. Left with our tummies full and smiles on our faces. Don't miss out on this gem in Springfield.

Great price! 1 Soda, 1 beer, 2 dishes, 1 appetizer, and 1 dessert was 24 bucks. For a Thai place the spiciness of the food was on the low side but everything tasted good. They give u cabbage soup automatically while you are waiting for the main dish. For the first time in my life a cabbage soup tasted good. I just have to say the place is f*ugly 70's look. The styling was just bizarre for a Thai restaurant.

We ordered pad thai and a appetizer sampler and everything was delicious! We had tons of food for about $30 for 3 people. Everything we had was really great. Flavorful and fresh! Yum!

Nice modern atmosphere. Quick service. Wish some of the waitresses were more friendly though. Decent prices however last time we had dinner we were disappointed with the meal sizes. We both completely cleaned our plates and we were still hungry! Usually we have enough for leftovers but this was more like a lunch portion. Regardless, we love the food and go frequently!

Some of the best Asian food in Springfield. Always fresh and made to order. Nice owners and good service.

Great food. Great lunch specials. Atmosphere is very clean and modern. Would drive to the opposite side of town every time to eat here!

We've tried all of the Thai places in Springfield numerous times over the years and this is currently the best place in town. If you go, be sure you get the Crab Rangoon - not exactly an authentic Thai dish but theirs is the best I've had in decades and unlike any that I've had previously.

It's impressive for a restaurant in a strip mall... the service is incredible, the place is chic but you can dress like a farmer, the food is plated in an artful way, and the food has always been delicious.

Came here on a business trip with my husband. Food was amazing. Plan on coming back often.

Great attentive service, fairly broad menu, curry lunch special with chicken was abundant and tasty, nice mug of hot Jasmine tea on a brisk and windy Spring day! The Thai food served here is most definitely "Americanized", but that isn't all bad. Go.Eat.Enjoy.Repeat.

Had a delicious lunch here recently. We're vegetarian and they were very open to substituting tofu for any of the lunch specials which were excellent. The soup was hot and chock full of vegetables. We're from out of town, just passing through on vacation, otherwise we'd be back soon.

I read reviews here and decided to give Thai Basil a try while on a trip to Springfield. I agree that the decor doesn't match the cuisine but it's pretty cool so no issue there. I was hoping they have Masaman Curry but they had something very similar, yellow curry. I also ordered crab rangoons. Both were delicious! The service was fast and friendly. I would definitely come again!

Husband and I went there for dinner the other night. We asked for water and they had black particles in the water so we asked again and got the same stuff in our water. The waitress told us they needed to clean their filter out. A different waiter took our order. I had the beef with the rice and salad with the egg on top; asked for it to be well done or over hard. I asked 3 times to re-cook the egg because it was runny. No one seemed to listen. The original waitress came back and said sorry but by the time she did we were done eating. The beef had pieces of what looked like coarse hair mixed in with the meat. I was so disappointed that we got our check and left. I don't think we will be coming back again which is a shame because we use to all the time. Their crab rangoon was good.

I loooove fried dumplings and these were awesome. The dipping sauce had a little heat to it which was a pleasant surprise. For my main dish I went with the classic fried rice. Tasty, classic, and the flavor that I would expect from fried rice. This place was clean looking and the cost for my meal was under 10 bucks. This was a great deal!!

Had the Thai Ginger with chicken. Not great, not terrible. Service was a little too casual. An affordable lunch but I probably wouldn't go back.

Best Thai in town! The most light and airy crab Rangoon ever! Soups are incredible and portions are decent size. Try some combination of the avocado and fruit smoothy for a delicious light dessert!

We hit this place every Chi-Stl or Stl-Chi drive. It's super tasty and consistent.

Loved it! This was my first time trying this restaurant. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Lunch prices are great. The food was fantastic!! I'm looking forward to my next trip to try new things!!

I think that this place will become our new "go to" on our drives from STL to Chicago. Pho= awesome Curry=awesome So awesome I guess.

My family of four visited on a Saturday night driving through on vacation. We had the green curry and a couple of fried rice dishes. AMAZING AND SPICY curry. Perfect heat and blend of vegetables. Love the interior; modern and different from other Asian restaurants. Would definitely come back on our way through Springfield.

Meh, wasn't impressed with Thai Basil. Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for carry out, not a customer in sight but the same went for the staff - totally MIA from the counter. When someone did arrive they kept talking to a co-worker behind the scenes and that left a bad taste in my mouth. Now for the meal.... Food was okay, nothing fabulous. Can't remember what I ordered, does that tell you anything? Everyone speaks to the decor - not an Ikea near Springfield so locals are impressed with cheap, modern Swedish furniture. The younger crowd may find this place attractive, priced well and tasty but I don't agree and haven't been back.

Visited Thai Basil on a Tuesday night with a colleague. We ordered bubble tea, and what we were served was a smoothie with hard dough-like balls of starch in it. The smoothie itself was good, but not what we ordered. We wanted Pho, but the server said they were out. OUT OF PHO? We chose something else, and I can say that my food was fantastic. I would give this place another shot since it came highly recommended.

Probably the worst food I have ever had and the worst service. I explained to the waiter my dissatisfaction and he said sorry to here that. I orders the general tso's chicken it had no heat or flavor to it. Will never go back

Not the best Thai food I've ever eaten, but certainly a great place to stop if you're looking to not have fast food on your way through town. Lunch special is a great value!

This place is a great place to quickly stop in and grab a bite. Affordable, clean, brite, and good. The tom yum soup and yellow curry are difficult to pass up. My service has always been better than most other places. I would say there are higher quality places but certainly not for the price or ease.

Good food, fast service, free soup at lunch, big Thai ice teas. I only give it a star down because the bathrooms were blocked by carts of dirty dishes making it difficult to get by.

Had lunch here again and the food was outstanding, great service and at a crazy low price! Love this place!!

Very unauthentic. This is not Thai restaurant, don't be fooled. The waitress is phillipino and the owner Cantonese. The menu is american Chinese. Don't go there.

Not bad, but not great. It felt like Ikea in the place, but at least they're new and clean. Several of our plates tasted all the same, but thats not a horrible thing. Service was friendly.

I picked up carry out. The place was clean and people were nice. I don't think this is a Thai place. It seems to be cross of Chinese with some Thai dishes. The food was mediocre and more aligned in flavor with a Chinese wok style restaurant. I was hoping for more of a Thai experience. I won't again waste my time or money at Thai Basil.

The food is awesome!!! The service is great!!! There fried rice is the best I have ever had. The broccoli beef, padwooson, and fried dumplings are also recommended.

So glad we stopped here on our way through town. It is so delicious, I think we should strategically plan our trips to stop here every time. We had Pad Thai, green curry, curry fried rice and fried dumplings. It was all superb. We've eaten Thai food in many cities and this is the best I've had.

I had a horrible experience here. I ordered Thai iced tea with my lunch, and it tasted awful. I drank 2 sips, and told the waiter that something was not right. It tasted like the milk was off. The waiter could not get the cashier to remove it from my bill. I spoke to the cashier, and she was very rude, insulting, and would not take my drink of of the bill. It was incredible, and terribly frustrating. The service here is nothing to brag about anyway, but this just took it over the line. I'd recommend another place.

Former owners of Little Saigon. Awesome place. Great food that's fast and fresh. Modern design inside - very Ikea. Everything I have had has been perfect. Veggies are crisp, spices just right. Great variety on menu. Their Pad Thai is the best in town. Their basil chicken is very good as well. Great flavor. As far as the appetizers, we are guilty of finding a good thing and sticking with it. Steamed dumplings! Its not a date place by any means but its a solid place for quick meal. They also have take out.
