Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

I have to admit that I've turned into a pizza snob. I grew up in Chicago. If you have never had "real pizza", you might like it. Coming from Chicago I have to say it's nothing special.

We are in town for a convention, and asked the front desk agent about good pizza and he suggested here for delivery. Although the delivery was super fast, we didn't particularly enjoy the pizza. The crust was thin and ok, but the sauce was bland, the pepperoni soggy and there wasn't much cheese.

I'm surprised by all the positive reviews. The decor is cool, retro Italian pizza joint, I'll give it that. Regarding the pizza: The sauce smells and tastes great, but the dough was rock solid on the bottom, and undercooked at the top. This is clearly frozen crust. Hard to chew, even. This shocked me considering it took long enough to make that they easily had time to use fresh dough. tl;dr Underwhelming, frozen pizza crust.

Good pizza, not exceptional but good. Placed smelled exactly the way a pizza place should when you walk in. Sausage and mushroom pizza and garlic cheese bread hit the spot. Clearly we weren't regulars and were made to wait before being served. Regulars were treated with a completely different attitude.

This review is purely on the Antipasto Salad!!! Absolutely delightful!!! They marinated the artichoke, and veggies and it made the salad even yummier!!! The salad was so super fresh!!! OMG!!! I want one right now!!!!!

Best pizza in Springfield, and family run. Good atmosphere too!

I am giving them one star based on their despicable customer service. Today was my daughters first day of school, ever. She really wanted breadsticks and pizza to celebrate, so that's what I ordered from them. The driver shows up and I tip him before I realize that the garlic bread isn't there. I asked him if he had them and he seemed bewildered by the question. He says he'll go back and get them. I get a call 15 minutes later from the bewildered driver and he says that he didn't charge me for the garlic bread so he's not bringing them back, period. He saw that I had small children when I answered the door and I tipped him pretty well. How rude and clueless can someone be? It just amazes me. I was a delivery driver years ago and even at 20 I was not this much of an idiot. I will NEVER order from this place again.

This is the worst restaraunt. Don't go here! We waited for our food for over a hour and never received our food. Apparently they lost our order. When we asked about our order several employees were rude and almost violent with us. They even yelled at us. We demanded a refund and finally got one. Don't go here if you want to eat within a reasonable amount of time.

Nice pizza and hot Wings. Wish the wings were more fried and less soft but overall the sauce was very good. The prices were great. The interior needs a little bit of work but the staff is friendly and attentive. They pizza sauce and cheese were really nice although on the preference side it was a bit too thin for my taste.

Best Italian sub in town!! I get it every time!!

Pretty much the only New York style pizza in town. Everything else is St. Louis style thin crust. And don't even try looking for Chicago style pizza in Springfield - it simply doesn't exist. The pizza here is great. Be sure to get the deep dish with lots of toppings. Nice folks that own the place too.

This is an untypical review for me. When in town on business, I use Yelp as my source for restaurants and usually focus on the food and not other factors. I found this place charming, divey-charming, a throwback to the 70's, checkered vinyl table cloths, and reminded me of a local establishment in my home town back then! Dark, cheesy, old! I ordered the Galina with a side salad. When I ordered my salad, I asked what was on it. Lettuce, onion, tomato and an olive. When I got it, they were right, one olive. This struck me as funny! I should have asked for some cheese on top also. The pizza was good, but like Rob L said, canned mushroom and crumbled sausage? Deep dish, I think not, well, at least not like Chicago; it's more of a "normal" crust as opposed to a thin crust. Not enough cheese for my taste either. No Parmesan cheese on the table or red pepper flakes which I found odd. With all this being said, I have been to better pizzeria's, but this hit the spot for the night!

Some of the best pizza in town. If you like thin, floppy, New York style pizza, this is your spot. Similar to the downtown location, which is owned by Vito's cousin. The atmosphere here is better. Vito is from Italy. He and his wife own the place. They are super friendly and they're always here! Say hello!

BEST Pizza in Springfield. I'm originally from the East coast and this is the closest thing to tasting that authentic East coast pizza. I've also had meatball sub and eggplant parm sub, both made with in house made rolls that are huge. Anything I've had there was absolutely delicious. The people are super nice and welcoming.

The Gallina family knows what they're doing! As my grandma says, if you're sweating while you eat, you KNOW it's good! Trust me, you'll be satisfied! The best pizza around; I have dreams about the delicious feast! The baked pastas are to die for! LOVE the owners, they are as real as you can get. I've been eating at Gallina's my entire life. My sister and I would always fight over the last piece of pizza. Once you go to Gallina's, there's NO going back.

Well... I was staying at there Drury and had a long day and didn't feel like messing around going out to dinner. So, I decided I would just order some marginal pizza from Domino's... They don't deliver to the Drury. Then I tried Pizza Hut... They don't deliver to the Drury either. So, I searched the internet and am glad I did. Pizza and service was awesome! I enjoyed the experience and would do it again.

We found this place on yelp and it was as described - the pizza was excellent. We had the "Gallina" special and it was a delicious blend of spices, cheese and sauce on a thin and crispy crust. Too bad they provided paper plates and styrofoam cups which caused a reduction in the stars I gave them. Nice people; fine service.

The atmosphere was the only negative thing about our experience with Gallinas. The pizza was great and reasonably priced. The deserts were good after they thawed out. I would order food to be delivered if possible.
