I am sort of divided on this place. First, we stopped by and upon arrival I realized this is much more of a carry-out place than a sit-in place. They have tables to sit and eat, but there definitely isnt any sort of table service. If you are looking for that go somewhere else. The woman taking the orders (who I assume is the owner) was very friendly, but they were clearly extremely busy. We placed our order then ended waiting almost an hour for the food to be ready. Many people came in and picked things up while we waited so it became pretty obvious that the best thing to do is call ahead. My decision is still out on the food. I ordered a variety of things to try to get a true sense of the quality. Jumbo shrimp with vegetables, roast pork friend rice, moo goo gai pan and vegetable lo mein. I ordered large size in everything so I would have leftovers and the total came to about $32 which is really reasonable. I have to say that the flavor wasnt really where I expected it to be. The best item was the fried rice, but I think that might be because fried rice is hard to do wrong. The other three had pretty mild, bland flavors. I realize that the moo goo gai pan and shrimp w/ veg have a pretty mild sauce to begin with, but there just wasnt much of a flavor at all. On the plus side the shrimp really were jumbo and of really good quality as was the chicken. The lo mein was good, lots of vegetables, but could have used more flavor as well. Jury is out, must return and get more flavor-intensive items to give a better review.

A solid place for take-out. There isn't really a space to eat-in, but the food is good.

Nasty! The general tso's chicken was sweet instead of spicy like the dish is supposed to be. We also tried lo mein noodles and they were thick with very little taste to the sauce. If you're looking for good chinese food, don't waste your time here.

If you are not ordering the general tsos chicken you are wasting your time and everyone elses... I have been coming here for 15 years now. It is not a dine in kinda a place, unless you are passing through lunch. They are known for having long lines and waits around the dinner rush, call ahead. They are known for and almost sell exclusively their General Tsos chicken. Hand breaded chicken bits with a home made secret sauce that is sweet and spicy. You can tell when a person has never been here because they order something like fried rice and cashew chicken... Dude that's not why your friends sent you on a 45 min wait for takeout... Get a clue... This place is a one trick pony, but it's one hell of a trick...

Excellent carry-out Chinese Food that is extremely inexpensive. Hands down the best in Springfield. Call ahead and plan on waiting as this place is extremely busy!! Plenty of lot parking.

Granted, the name is a bit generic, and the place inside could use a little touch up--but where it counts, the food, is fantastic. Was visiting from California, and stopped into this place for a quick bite--holy crap was it cheap $$ wise--and the food was, again, fantastic. The only other place in town for Chinese food is Panda X, and frankly, if you want cooked to order food and don't mind waiting a few minutes, this place is great. The Choice is simple--fresh hot food, and wait a bit, or have food that's been waiting to be eaten, but served quickly, at the X.

I will never step foot in this place again. After given the wrong order, I called to let them know. The lady argued with me about what I ordered, so I just hung up on her. If she can't be polite, I don't have to eat there. Her loss.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
