I always come here and order the chicken gyros dinner with an extra pita to go. They give you so much food that you have to share! It comes with rice pilaf, onions, coleslaw, their special honey mustard sauce, and lemon potatoes. I'm not a fan of the potatoes but throw everything in the pita and it is fantastic! They are the only place I know that has chicken gyros so that's always a plus.

Went here a few times with friends. The first time was senior year of high school. I bought a chicken gyros sandwich. Overpriced, and lacking quantity and flavor. The second time, junior year of college, I ordered the kefte kabob plate. The kefte was very dry, and there was not much on the plate. Flavor wise, it was somewhat bland. My friend ordered a gyros plate which came with much more meat. The third time, senior year of college, I made the mistake of ordering the same dish (this is roughly a year later) but the moment I saw my meal, I remembered why I had hesitated when I was deciding. Same problems, dry, small, and bland. My friend got the gyros again, which had much more meat as before, but it was lukewarm (he didn't care). I don't plan to go there again.

I don't know what they put in their gyros, but it just tastes so much better there for some reason (Sorry Hubs, I still love you too). The staff is nice, and they keep plenty of cooks in the kitchen to get you your meal fast. I also highly recommend the Greek Potatoes. Well worth the drive north.

The Greek food here is really pretty good. Everything else though, is sub par. The philly cheesesteak is ok at best. The steak sandwich is always overcooked and burgers are nothing to write home about. If you go, just stick to the greek side of the menu.

  • Emily M.

I prefer Dengeos in general, but Grecian Kitchen is also great. They deliver which is pretty awesome. The gyros are good (try the chicken gyros!). I'm also partial to the chicken ceasar salad because its HUGE and delicious.. you get a lot of food for your money.

Updated- I ordered the chicken gyros for lunch today and they were pretty good. The order though took forever so they get a star deducted. I would order from here again, but stay away from the beef. My kefta experience was nasty.

Stopped here on a whim on the way home from work. This place is a newer looking higher end fast food joint. You have your standard burgers and fries , along with a very diverse selection of grilled meats (kabobs , chicken ,gyros) . The selection was great , I ordered the beef kabob and the gyros , both fantastic. There are a few really good places just like this one so there is alot of competition for my fast food buck. All that being said,I will definitely be back.

The food here is always fresh and cooked to order. I have had several good meals here, but the gyros were my favorite. Easy to get to on Dempster, nice alternative to Mickey D's.

This place has a nice and friendly environment. But the one thing that I always go here for is their Nutella Shake! It's great.

  • Francis F.

First time here yesterday. Guy at cashier was helpful and nice. We liked the double hamburger, gyros with grilled onions, and chopped salad. Tried the garlic fries(maybe better if it were garlic parmesan flavored), buffalo fries(interesting but better on chicken wings) italian beef(even with gravy on,it was abit dry), greek potatoes and chicken(it wasnt dry but I'm not crazy about their recipe) and chicken finger combo, which included fries(i cant say it's the best). Portions were ok for price and wait time was alright!

Big fan of Grecian Kitchen. Been going for years and it's my favorite lunch spot of all the different places on Dempster in the Skokie area. Good food, good service, and I always leave with a full stomach.

  • Riya A.

I've never gotten anything from here besides the Nutella shake. Because I don't eat meat from just anywhere. But the Nutella shake is probably the best shake I've ever gotten. A friend of mine got the Nutella shake with Oreo and it was phenomenal! I don't know about the food but if it's as good as the shake. Hats off to these folks! 4 stars because $5.50 for a shake is a bit pricy to me.

Got a gyro and hot dog. First time here. Food was ready within minutes. Amazing service. Great tasting. Will come back here again!

Having gone to Grecian kitchen for over 18 years, I would definitely rate them a 5 star. The owner is friendly and professional. Sometimes my folks would dine out there in the location and other times they order a takeout. They serve greek and italian foods with some fast food items. They have alot of different kinds of salads. Pricing is moderate. Place is clean. I only wish they update restroom areas. Parking space accomodates many cars. You can also watch Television inside the establishment. Dengeo and Hubs are larger restaurants but Grecian Kitchen has a good strategic spot next to Walgreens which has alot of traffic. Furthermore the staff are friendly and responsive. I enjoyed the moussaka, pasticio and their gyros. Moussaka is an eggplant dish while the pasticio is a greek version of the italian lasagna. I also like their garlic fries and garlic burger.

Their chicken strips combo is the best. One of the best chicken strips I've had in Chicago.

  • Larry J.

I went to try their special Wagyu beef burger which is a half pound burger and it was blah. No flavor at all. The only flavor I got was from the garlic butter compound that they use. It comes with 1 onion, lettuce and tomato. No ketchup, mustard, just plain. Now this place does have promise. They have a big menu, chicken, pasta, salads, sandwiches. It's worth another try.

  • Aydin H.

I have ordered Pasta Mastaccioli and Smoothies which I didn't like. First it tooks more than an hour to deliver to me. Pasta wasn't good, cold and smells weird. I can make at home even better. Smoothie also I didn't like. I am not gonna order from them anymore. Its garbage!

  • Yelp R.

SO Delicious! We split a whole grecian chicken with sides. Plenty to eat, plus leftovers for tomorrow. Authentic greek flavors. The people who work there are very friendly and helpful, too. I've been to Dengeo's, Hub's, etc. but this place is my new favorite!

  • Nicole P.

Grecian kitchen is pretty good. I stopped in to pick up lunch and I got the turkey burger. it was a little but dry,but other than that it was okay. The kitchen is really fast at getting orders out, I think it took about five minutes for for my food to come out and my guys chicken sandwich. also, the prices are pretty reasonable. Will be back, I want to try the chicken gyros.

  • J. Loren H.

GREAT Chicken gyros. So so so so so good!! I don't mind not eating the pita, but I wish I could, because their pita is absolutely amazing. Back when I was able to eat gluten, I would devour their pita like a mofo. If I had to complain about one thing, it'd be the fact that they have Pepsi products and not coke products in the fountain. This boy needs his diet coke, ya dig? Eh, no biggie, though, if I get thirsty enough, I'll drink their honey mustard. It's like sex in a ramekin. YUMMO.

Whenever i order from here I usually get the Grecian wrap. It's very good but it's a little lacking in the feta cheese. Today I ordered the 1/2 BBQ chicken with Greek potatoes and sweet potato fries. The chicken was extremely dry and it didn't have enough sauce to compensate for the dryness of the chicken. the Greek potatoes were extremely dry as well. I'm a little disappointed , won't order this again

  • A C.

Order was messed up - grub hub order did not show up on their system even though I had prepaid for food and had email to confirm. Owner disregarded my email , text message and confirm ls received of payment and the fact I knew every thing I ordered. I couldn't leave with my food unless I paid (which i already did via grubhub).I had to argue with the guy for like 15 minutes before he finally was convinced the order was mine. How stubborn is that? Also, like a previous poster, the seasoned fries were disgusting. It's as if they left them out all day then just refried them when someone places an order. Old fries with no taste. Yuck. I will not be returning.

Been going here since we moved to Skokie- more than 15 yrs ago! Love the chicken gyros, original gyros, chicken kabob, Greek salad, burgers. My favorite side is the Greek potato and the rice. They're always very nice staff here and price is fair! All in all... #dabombdiggity

  • Jamal A.

Mr. Grecian, my brother Bassam and I were in the other day we decided to order the 1/2 BBQ chicken with Greek potatoes and Greek green beans for the sides. Your food was very delicious, it reminded me of the Babylon days when my grandmother used to cook for us when we were young kids. The chicken was tender and crispy just like my brother Bassam described it. Greek potatoes were also great with the side of the green beans. The only thing missing was the hookah after Bassam and I stuffed our faces but that is not your fault. We will be back here again because you guys are very similar and family oriented just like how my brother Bassam and I are. The only thing that you need to work on is the coleslaw a little bit to get that extra star.

I really like this place, great food, served fast and by friendly people! The Gyros are fantastic and everything about them is authentic Greek.

3.5 stars is more accurate. Well run veteran operation. Inferior to Dengeos across the board but superior to Hubs.

    (3)
  • Nancy H.

Sometimes we feel like Dengeos, sometimes we feel like Grecian Kitchen. Grecian Kitchen is less popular but still pretty solid. They have really, really good fried Greek potatoes, but the Greek chicken is better at Dengeos and so is the garlic bread. But GK has this gyros salad that is actually pretty genius: sliced gyro meat on top of salad with a thick garlicky dressing (a great low carb option). They also have different kinds of fries & shakes. Last note: dining in isn't the nicest. Their benches are really uncomfortable - they have the ones made of hard wood with the slits, and the tables aren't always clean.

    (3)
  • George J.

One of the best Chicken wraps I've ever had! We order from this place all the time and they've always been consistent, and I love a place that has consistency. Their prices are very reasonable and the food here is always fresh.

  • Mayana M.

I love coming here to eat! Staff is super friendly and attentive. The food is amazing! Way better than Dengeos and is super cheap! I'm in love with the different kinds of shakes they have as well.

  • Susan B.

I really like this place! Kind of tucked away on Dempster, east of Crawford, this little hard benched, fast food place sits. -They want no campers. Their barbequed or regular chicken w/ choice of 3 sides! (& garlic bread) will make you do your happy dance, Italian beefs, Pastichio (yum) just about everything in here is good. Fast, clean, tasty, open kitchen, ( for me-a good sign) always a different soup of the day! People are nice & friendly. Prices are very fair. We never leave hungry. What more do you want--a pony? You want something fast and delicious?Go eat here! mmmm ('sometimes'' I have to get up & wipe down our table--but they're busy so idk)

Their manager, Steve Eiko, called me a "fucking cunt" when i called to set up a business appointment with this restaurant. I find it completely disrespectful and inappropriate, especially given that I'm only 20 years old and the manager is an older man. I'm disgusted and do not recommend this place at all.

    (1)
  • Doug R.

This place used to have really good food. I was there once every couple weeks as a kid. But over the years, the food quality seemed to go downhill and after I discovered Dengeos, I saw no reason to go back to Grecian. Maybe their food has gotten better, but I won't be finding out.

    (1)
  • John H.

Absolutely awful. We live within a few blocks of this place and the food was delivered cold. The chicken and steak philly were over done and the bread soggy. Seasoned fries tasteless. Garlic fries simply had a bunch of minced garlic dumped in the middle of the container. I'll never order from this place again. Next time I'll go to hubs.

Often overshadowed by the wildly popular Pita Inn. its a shame because this place is "the cats pajamas'. American and Greek delights all in this cozy lil diner. This spot is totally accessible and a wide array of foods to tantalize your taste buds. They offer a variety for your dinners. I get the skirt steak sandwich, cook perfectly. I chose the potatoes and rice. Its a great combination. Even the complementary slaw is good! I have also had the chicken gyros from here, my better half's favorite! You would think that chicken gyro meat would be dry, not here. They serve it with their special sauce that really brings out the flavor in it. Their portion sizes are great for big appetites. I am not mad at leftovers in our fridge. Service is fast and efficient, a well oiled machine. Just how I likes it! Stop in there instead of Pita Inn one day, you shant be disappointed.

It looks like just another fast food joint, but t's not. Their food is great. I love their barbqued or regular chicken, they give you plenty of choices for sides. Their Italian beefs, pastichio, soulvakia,(pork shish-kabob) , soups, --it's all good. If you have a problem w/ an item, they are quick to make it up to you w/ another choice, of course. THAT in itself is worth the price of admission. It's a geat place to eat w/o looking for your tie.

  • Amy G.

Great place. Food is delicious, you get a good amount for the price and the staff are always helpful and friendly. Pretty much all you can ask for in a counter-service restaurant like this

  • Andy M.

A premier fast Greek place that I wish was closer to where I live and bigger in the inside. You nearly bump into four or five people waiting for the food and it is a long wait. They have an extensive menu and plenty of people working in this joint. They have catering as well. The burgers and beef are on top quality among the best I have tried thus far and they have other dishes including several Greek ones. A really really cool place although the parking is miserable

Love this place and we order from it all the time, so I was really sad to see that when I ordered online today it suddenly said they didn't deliver to my address any more. Luckily I called and the very nice guy on the phone reassured me that they still did. So if the same happens to you, be sure to call and make sure that is accurate. It is ALWAYS good, always fast delivery!

Greek chicken- yum yum! Very good plates and quick service. I think their delivery radius is pretty expansive too, which is a plus.

Im a big fan of the chicken. Ive tried the greek style and bbq. Both are awesome. Over the last few years they are very consistent. I recently tried the shish kabob which was alright, a bit over seasoned, but I would have them again. Ive never ordered online and only once for delivery(which was as expected)

Our favorite lunch spot in the area! My co-workers and I eat here on average 2 times a week, the menu is HUGE. My personal favorites are the BBQ pulled pork (order it on garlic bread), the Chicken Gyros (very few offer this) and the BBQ chicken breast plate with the Grecian style green beans. Also their Greek burger is excellent; burger with Gyro meat and feta on top. Service is very fast and with a smile; Great customer service.

It's not really this place's fault that they can't compete with pita inn. A fierce rivalry to the right of the store. Pita inn has 4 different locations in the Chicago suburb areas. Grecian kitchen is competing with the most popular location of pita inn on dempster that has also a market and bakery. Pita inn is simply a well known and successful enough establishment that operates on great tasty authentic food on a cheap price with a bustling atmosphere. Grecian kitchen is much smaller, it has transparent windows, before the store is open you see their chairs stacked up on tables. This place resembles an American fast food place that also serves gyro. The food is pretty ok...nothing really stood out, I would only come here out of convenience if I live right by the restaurant. I would never travel the extra mile that I do for pita inn. The burgers, great that it's not just a patty with buns, but not memorable, you can get better burgers at Edzo's in downtown Evanston for cheaper. fries, cool that they have buffalo fries, haven't seen this anywhere else. Garlic fries Edzo's attempt to make but not super great. If I have to pick on the best thing to get here, definitely their fries. Gyros..,they are fresh and have tender meat. But I personally have had better gyros, try Cross Rhodes on Chicago ave in Evanston. The gyros here while prepared well do not resemble Greek authenticity. Overall, it is a good business. Above average, just not very authentic. Not the restaurant's fault that it does not have the popularity and budget to compete with pita inn.

I've ordered from here a few times for lunch. Definitely not a bad burger. Seasoned fries are definitely better than the regular fries which aren't super crispy. They delivered in timely fashion. Nothing super special but definitely decent food for the money. I would order again. Recommend for inexpensive lunch.

Delivery time takes forever! I could have cooked something by the time they brought my food.

Tonight's party was catered by Grecian Kitchen. Chicken gyros were tender, flavorful and delicious! Greek chicken was tasty, but a bit dry, but the fries were good (although nothing comes close to my favorite at Cross Rhodes in Evanston!). Crisp, fresh Greek salad with house dressing rounded out a good meal.

My favorite place to eat. Everything I have had on the menu is never short of amazing. There is always young and friendly staff and dinning room is always kept clean. The grilled chicken sandwich is my favorite so far.

I just recently found out about this place located in Skokie. My mouth waters every time I hear their name. I drive out of my way just to get their chicken ceasur spinach. The wrap is juicy and filled with the best dressing I have ever tasted. The price is reasonable too, for $5.00 you receive a huge wrap. I haven't tried anything else there but I can only imagine that its just as good. The place is very small, the seating is limited. Word of advice don't eat there on your lunch break, it will take forever to get your food and find a seat because it is usually so packed.

Good food and good prices what more can you ask for! just don't place your order online they tend to either never get it or forget about it

Nice prices. Friendly staff. Salads come in a huge bowl for dine in, however the carry out version is much smaller, but same price. The potatoes and the green beans are delicious.

  • Tanya M.

The gyro meat from here is top of the line. I have never been inside but often have them deliver to my office. Delivery is usually pretty quick. Only problem I ever had here is when I ordered a gyro and specified NO TOMATO but my sandwich was delivered with tomato. I called and had them come bring me a new one, and the delivery driver waited for me to check to make sure the order was right. What struck me as odd is that he took the other sandwich with him. I also tried the dolmades which at other Greek restaurants have always been outstanding, and here were very bland. Either way, it's a good amount of food for the price, and aside from the dolmades, the flavor is always on point. Perfect for an in-office lunch.

  • Yanyao N.

This place is easily overlooked by being so close to Pita Inn, but the free spaces in the parking lot are really quite attractive on a Sunday evening. And you know what? The food is actually very good. Greek staples, salads, and grill items such as burgers, ribs, chicken, etc. provide plenty of options when dining here. I had the gyros salad -- a HUGE bowl of crisp lettuce, green peppers, olives, onions, tomatoes, feta cheese, and gyros served with this sweet onion salad dressing with a ferocious garlic kick on the side. I have some of the best breath in the world right now. Seriously. Accompanied by some flat bread and ordered of dolmades and spinach pie, this meal was cheap, delicious, and filling. The spinach pie is fantastic. Definitely worth a trip down Dempster if you are looking for cheap Greek food. I will definitely return for the Greek salad (with anchovies!!!!) and more of that spanikopita.

  • Amanda O.

The ribs are fantastic.... not too much sauce and falls right off the bones. The chicken on the other hand - dry with soggy skin. Green beans are out of a can it seems. Not too much to say - not terribly impressed. Probably won't seek it out again.

    (3)
  • Jackie G.

Gyros is delicious and the sandwich is a good size. Greek salad seems small when you get it to go, but it somehow expands to three times its size when you take it out of the container and put it in your own bowl. Go for the buffalo fries, too. Yum!

  • Matt T.

I love this place but I've only had a handful of things. Does that warrant a four star review? Well, for the friggin' chicken gyros it does! I love chicken gyros and I've never found another place that has them in the city or north shore area. So, if you know of a place that has them and they taste good, lemme know. Anyway, like I said, I love chicken gyros and could eat them several times a week. It's hard coming down to Grecian Kitchen Delight since it's right next to Pita Inn. Decisions, decisions! The chicken gyro dinner comes with a choice of sides but I always get the greek potatoes and the rice. The rice used to be better but has gotten a bit worse lately. Just doesn't taste as fresh. The potatoes rock and the honey mustard that they give you for the gyros is such a great pairing. I really don't know what it is about these gyros but they just have a great spice and flavor. As for other items: good pita, standard decent fries, good regular gyros, good greek roasted chicken and mediocre spinach pie. I should explore more but for the other items they have on the menu I'd rather go somewhere closer to home. Decent prices, delivery to West Rogers Park (grubhub)...a good spot for a quick bite or some chicken gyros (yee-ros!)

I find it hillarious that Hubs and Grecian are literally minutes away from each other on the same street. Hubs obviously having been in Skokie longer. I viewed Grecian as an imposter for a while and refused to go here untillll.. I noticed that the prices are more reasonable. Overall, there isn't a whole lot of difference in quality. The kitchen is entirely visible and your food is prepared on the spot. I actually have more personal favorites here than at Hubs. - Half Chicken Dinner - Greek - Chicken Chopped salad - Chicken Gyro's Service is fast, staff is friendly. A hidden gem in Skokie.

I have been eating here since high school--I LOVE their grecian chicken and their greek potatoes! Service is always pretty good, it does take some time--since everything is made to order--it is well worth the wait though. If you can call ahead do it--so you can just scoop it up and go. I'm in agreement with other reviewers---the greek food in general rocks!

  • Dara O.

Used to order delivery from this spot back in high school during a summer job, I was always happy with the food. Finally stopped in here as an adult with a grease food fix. Ordered in, cheeseburger with cheese sticks, very tasty! Didn't take too long, though it was well after the big rush (2 PM or so).

  • Tom G.

We get takeout from here every other week and feed our family of four for less than $20. This includes a meat, starch, and vegetable. The greek green beans are super delicious. The staff is okay, usually an 18 year old girl who doesn't want to be there takes your order. But the food is tasty and filling, without making you feel greasy. However, if you want to feel greasy, there is plenty to select from as well.

  • Jay K.

I go here for lunch often and sometimes bring it home for dinner since I work in the area. Better than Hubs and Dengeos plus they have chicken gyros and excellent sides, one of them being Greek style green beans. Order a dinner and get two sides. If you don't want fries you can get the excellent Greek potatoes or rice...yummy. I like this place just for that, no fries and crappy side salad if you don't want it. You have choices!! Dine in and your food is served on a real plate with silverware, no plastic. Excellent portions. Fairly priced. Good salads. Good HOT food prepared to order. Indoor seating fills up fast at lunch time. Small parking lot.

Chicken kabobs are great! The food here in general is very good quality at a fair price. Plus they use oil with 0 trans fats. Try the spinach pie if you get the chance.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The management and customer service sucks! My fiancée and I went there for gyros. He ordered the chicken gyros plate and I had the regular gyros plate. However, after receiving my order and fixing me up a sandwich and dumping most of the tzatziki sauce on my pita and gyros, I bit into it, and immediately realized that the sauce was extremely sour. I got up and told the young lady behind the counter that the sauce tasted bad, maybe spoiled and gave what was left in the cup back to her. She then told who I'm assuming was the manager and he asked me had I ever tasted tzatziki sauce before. I replied "yes." He then gave me another cup of it and I sat down to try it again, and it tasted the exact same way as the first. The guy asked me what I thought about that and I replied that it tasted sour as well. He said that they make the sauce everyday and it was fine. I just looked at him, then sat down. So, now I was stuck with half my gyros meat and pita drenched in this sour sauce that I couldn't eat. So, I decided to take the rest of my gyros plate home and throw out what I couldn't eat. I then walk back up to the counter and buy an extra pita bread and decide to stop at another restaurant to buy sauce so I could finish my food at home. The lady and manager looks at me and I also ask for a carry out box. She charges me for the pita about $1.00 extra for 1. I box up my leftovers while they watch me, and leave. I then drive down the street to Dengeos and I ask to buy a cup of cucumber sauce and they give me 2 for FREE!!! I wasn't even their customer, and they give it to me free. Very nice staff and the sauce was free, no questions asked. Im thinking that I should've ate their in the first place. Next time Dengeos gets my business...and the sauce was good, not sour. Grecian Kitchen Delight needs to get their customer service in order. A good restaurant manager would've made sure I was satisfied to some degree by replacing my order, give me a discount, or at least given me another pita and gyros meat for free seeing I'd wasted half my sandwich with their disgusting sour sauce. After spending about $25.00 on food and sodas, I'd expect that, decent food, and customer service. As for the PREJUDICED MORONS of staff there, they suck! I'll continue to eat delicious gyros at Dengeos and the famous little rundown Morse Gyros with excellent sauce that's made fresh daily as well. I won't be returning, and I definitely will be spending my time in better establishments that welcomes my kind and my green money.

We have 5 people, including 3 teenagers, in our house--and this is one weeknight restaurant on which we can all agree. We first started ordering from here because they deliver (who wants to go out at 7pm on a snowy night to pick up dinner?), and we've continued because the food is good for the price. All 3 kids love the burgers. Our daughter also likes the shrimp basket with the green beans and the seasoned fries. My husband always gets the gyro, which is really good. The seasoned fries are fantastic and favorite with all of us. I seem to be the most adventurous. My favorites are the chicken gyro, the buffalo wrap, and the chicken gyro salad. The steak sandwich is also good. And I've had both the pastichio and the mousaka. I'm not Greek, so not an expert, but I truly enjoyed both. The Italian beef is OK--especially if you like yours dry and not au jus. Don't let the delivery time put you off. They usually estimate an hour for delivery--but it has never been more than 30 minutes.

The kabob sandwich was AWSOME, but everything else was fair to poor. The burger was ok, but nothing special. The cheese fries were nasty, wet, limp, and cold. REALLY nasty. The hummus was too bitter, and warmer (temperature, not spice) than I like it. The rootbeer floats were pretty good, not amazing, but cheap enough to not have to be. We might try this place again some time, seeing as there is such a variety on the menue, but we definately won't be ordering the burgers, fries, or hummus again.

I order in from this place a lot, and it's great they deliver to Evanston. The food is cheap and the delivery is always super quick. I highly recommend their chicken kabob dish and their wraps. Very yummy. I also love their potatoes and rice. Their menu is pretty big and everything I've tried has been good so far. I would definitely not eat in though, as their dining room is small and a bit uncomfortable. But if you want healthier delivery food, with quick service I definitely recommend ordering here.

In Skokie, there are the two heavy weights of Greek based fast food. Dengeo's and Hub's. If you're on the west side, Mr. Z's in Morton Grove. Problem is, Dengeo's and Hub's are over priced, sometimes crowded and the food isn't anything special and Mr. Z's, although great is a little out of the way. Grecian Kitchen is my alternative to those two. It's well priced, has a nice atmosphere, it's conveniently located and all the food is what you would expect or better for what it costs. In addition, Chris and Harry, the owners, are pretty good people. The food is ready quick and they deliver! In summary, don't go to Hubs or Dengeo's. Go here.

This is one of the many places that I missed after leaving Chicago. I really enjoy their chicken gyros here and that's that. Although, I must add that they used to be much better as I used to order from them while working at Old Orchard Shopping Center.

I usually visit Hubs, but decided to try out Grecian Kitchen instead. Ideally, I'd give 3.5 stars, so they get 3 instead. The food is average, the food is cooked to order, and the prices are average. My Greek friend's family get a lot of food from there for their big events. I've tried a lot of it and it all just tastes average. If you come here, you won't be disappointed....but don't expect to be impressed or floored either.

I went in for their anniversary special but there wasn't a menu for those limited items. I ordered the skirt steak sandwich, 2 burgers, 2 chick kebobs,1 breaded mushrooms & jalapeno pop. Skirt steak can't get any thinner and not worth $6.95, Hamburgers were missing meat, poor quality frozen boxed beef. The kabobs were good, but it s/b since it was solid chik not the gyros blend of fat. Fries dn come w sandwiches.

I have to admit to the fact that there are numerous fast food restaurants in that area and I have tried them all. I have eaten at Grecian Kitchen with my family, co-workers and had them cater to our business for a couple events. The dinning experience was great! We ordered gyros plate which was generous and plentyful. The pulled pork sandwhich should become an example for others to follow. The salads were cold and very, very fresh with a zesty Greek salad dressing which had just the right amount of oil and vinegar. The Greek chicken was juicy and a belly buster. The catered luncheon was impressive. We had Italian beef, gyros, kabobs, oven brown potatoes, rice, and vegtables. They were on time with all the food and set up everything vice nicely. The food was warm and stayed warm with the sternos and pans. They brought enough silverware, napkins and etc. In conclusion, you will not be disappointed with this place and leave full and probably with a doggie bag. The prices are very reasonable and portions are great.

I would go three and half stars here if that was an option. The portions are hearty, and it is reasonable. Took my kids here, and they actually asked to come back. That says a lot in itself. I would eat here again. Nothing fancy, but tasty, reasonably priced food.

This food is not exactly a Grecian delight. It is good enough for typical fast food with a Grecian marketing label behind it. You might like something out of the menu... but I don't recommend any chicken preparations. Quite tasteless.

Damn this place is cheap! The burgers are good, and the fries rock. The greek chicken is also delicious. And I gotta love the garlic bread that comes with any meal. Oh, and they deliver, and don't take very long. Solid place for some tasty cheap food.

This operation provided food for the skokie backlot bash to the superfans on saturday night. The food was AWFUL. The meatballs were clearly microwavable and the portion size of the nasty spaghetti barely fed my kids-The garlic bread was so soggy, I am not sure it was even baked-Not a good way to show off your business. I have no interest in going there after this. P.S I am not the only person that had negative comments to make about the food, I heard several people that had the same opinion as me.

Been ordering from them for years. The prices are right and the food is always great. The greek 1/2 chicken dinner is such a great deal! For about $6, there's so much food it's practically enough for 2 people (or for some great leftovers). They have a great selection of healthy choices, so if you're watching what you eat it's a great place to order from, especially if you have a family that wants burgers and gyros -- there's plenty of delicious salads, chicken kabobs and the like to keep a dieter happy. The delivery is super fast and reliable. Dining in is also a great experience for the price. I used to be a Hub's devotee, but once this place opened it's been Grecian Kitchen all the way.

I ordered Grecian Kitchen many times in the past and liked it, but lately I started noticing a bad change in the quality their food. The last straw was today... My boyfriend and I ordered a gyros plate (sides: salad and fries), and a caesar chicken wrap with fried mushrooms. Yuckkk! The mushrooms were burnt and cold, the white sauce was half full and nasty, not to mention the side salad was a joke (it was the gyros toppings normally put on the side, what a joke) I called back the resturant a.d spoke to Mike he never apoligized and offered half off the next order of mushrooms. No thanks keep your dollar. From now im happily going to Dengeos! Sincerly, Ms. Annoyed

Plus side: In the east Dempster fast food coridor, these guys work hard to be competitive. They recently spruced up the restaurant--both inside and out. They upgraded their menu board and added a flat panel TV. Their prices are competitive and they have an extensive menu, printed in color. They use trans-fat free cooking oil. Minus side: The food is okay, but doesn't knock your socks off. It's a bit bland. Their current promotion is for the chicken gyro. Having recently enjoyed a few at Herm's Palace down the block, I can say without hesitation, Grecian's version is lacking. They asked if I wanted honey mustard on it. No thank you. What's that all about? Access is difficult when traveling east on Dempster because there is no left turn lane and it's close to Crawford Avenue. The parking lot is decently sized, but is striped for little clearance between cars. The dining room is pretty small and they have a small counter midway back. There's little, if any personality by the staff--I've rarely seen a smile. Conclusion: This is not my favorite fast food joint, but I have been several times and I'll probably eat there again. They usually have a decent crowd dining in, so it's worth a try for you to form your own opinion.

This place is clean, fast, and has great price and great selections. I had the popcorn shrimp, which in my opinion was not that great. However, the Half Chicken Dinner is a great value for the price. Definitely stop by if you happen to be driving on Dempster.

Unfortunately they're the only Greek place that delivers to me, and I say that because if your going to them for Greek food than expect servings that are 1/2 the size you'd expect relative to the price you're paying... compared to say... if you'd been served it in Greek town. Also, their greek is greasy and not very tasty. For burgers and stuff like that however, they're fine. But Considering they're called Greek kitchen, I'd expect better Greek food.
