Excellent ice cream from Wisconsin! Made with all natural ingredients. Its cold fresh very flavorful. I had Fat Elvis, banana ice cream with real peanut butter and shaved dark chocolate pieces. My friend had the Butter Pecan, fresh pecans with creamy ice cream. Yum Yum Very clean interior, many cone choices and chocolate bowl choices. They also have a self serve frozen yogurt station with four flavors and your choice toppings. Simply the most delicious ice cream I have eaten this Summer. They open at 1pm. A nice lunch break stop:)

Out of all ice cream places I have been to, this feels like a creamery. Their flavors are unique and they even have fudge! Also they have self serve frozen yogurt with rotating flavors. Definitely a place worth checking out and as a bonus they happen to be kosher too! Enjoy!

This place isn't selling ice cream. There selling a way of life. The ice cream is so smooth I'm drooling just thinking about it. The place needs more costumers to stay open. People just need to find out about it it's in a little corner and needs more marketing or something. The only thing I don't like is the price it's a bit expensive in my opinion. If they came down on the prices it would be more realistic to get and cut out the big box brands and replace it with this. But everything perfect besides the price.

Nothing is more exciting than walking into an ice cream store and being told that you can sample all the flavors you want. Now, that's what I'm talking about!! It really does make a difference because you think you want one flavor, but then you try it and it's like "ehhhhh", and then you try another flavor like the ZANZIBAR CHOCOLATE and it's like "whoa whoa whoa whoa where have you been all my life?". So yeah, this place is good and the peeps are friendly.

Staff are always nice and ice cream is quality and delicious. Place is clean and their selection of flavors runs from common to pretty unique.

Went here after a haircut next door. Happy to find such a great place for a sweet treat. Best ice cream and pleasant place! My almost 9-year old son says he would take this ice cream over just about any other ice cream place.

Best ice cream in Skokie! My family and I love going to this place. There's always great flavors to choose from and the owner is top notch, he even gave me free ice cream because we frequent. They even have pretzel cones! Amazing with some sort of chocolate ice cream. The ice cream itself is dense and premium and Kosher. Keep up the good work!

My first experience with this cute little shop was on my son's first day of Kindergarten as a special treat, and what a treat it was! The gentleman running the store gave a warm greeting and patiently waited on us as our kids changed their minds a hundred times (and then some) on which flavor ice cream they wanted. He offered us a taste of them without any annoyance, which was helpful because my kids often say they want one thing and then turn around and say they don't like it. My son settled on the one that had bits of cake mixed in, and my daughter had the lemon raspberry sorbet (in a cone of course). Upon seeing us struggle a bit with the drippage because they weren't able to consume it quick enough, he offered a few extra empty cups to us. I loved the atmosphere of the shop, from the row of candy toppings lining the top of the ice cream bar to the bits of sweets décor that adorn the walls and the upbeat tunes in the background. The booths could stand to be a bit bigger, but it's not anything that would keep me from going back. The kids scoop size is well over what you'd get at 31 flavors, and the ice cream was just as tasty. They've got smoothies there for the non-ice-cream fan as well. The manager engaged the kids in chatter and even gave us a little coupon when we were getting ready to leave, which was a pleasant surprise. I understand that the shop recently re-opened under new ownership... Seems to me this owner understands the value of sweetness to our community. We're looking forward to indulging again soon!

A Yelp search for ice cream near Morton Grove led to the discovery of Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream on Devon St. in Chicago. A quick scan of their home page and a Google search for suburban locations brought me to the newly opened Skokie location and the recollection that the last time I drove by the strip mall storefront, I saw two teenagers with ice cream signs, standing in the rain and advertising the grand opening of their employer. Chocolate Shoppe's reminiscent of a Baskin Robbins with more complex flavors, but this place also sells various cookies, bars, ice cream cakes/pies, and candy. I tried the chocolate galaxy, chocolate ice cream with brownies, caramel, and pretzel pieces. Let's hope Baskin Robbins wouldn't put stale Gardetto's pretzel sticks in their ice cream though because let's just say that that's all that I was left tasting after I finished my cone. What a downer. I also left with a black and white cookie, and it was light and cakey, just like it should be. The icing was a little hard, but it's good to know I can get a b+w cookie nearby.

Hidden gem, great little ice cream shop, serves delicious Wisconsin ice cream, including the best dark "Zanzibar" chocolate ice cream. Very friendly staff/owners.

There has been an ice cream store in this location forever, and a Chocolate Shoppe franchise for the past few years. Here's the great news - it's under new ownership, and the owners are terrific. The ice cream is top notch (as anyone who has been to a Chocolate Shoppe Ice cream store can attest) and the place is inviting, clean, and adorable. There isn't anything like this in the area. Also, prices aren't too bad - for under $3.00 you get an enormous double scoop. We tried the butter pecan and the peanut butter cup, and both were outstanding. Support local businesses - this place is great!

I've been to the other location on Devon many times, but as my friend Christine said, I drive by here all the time and don't know what took me so long to stop in! It turns out that it's the same company, yet each store operates independently. This one is so cute! The ice cream comes from Wisconsin and comes in several different flavors. I tried samples but had a hard time deciding what I wanted. When I saw that they had frozen yogurt, I got that instead, but had a pint hand packed with two of the chocolate flavors (Zanzibar and Halley's Comet) to take home to my family. The gentleman and woman who were working were both very nice, answering all my questions, and very accommodating. He was happy to pack whatever I wanted with no trouble. A few other customers came in while I was there, and I noticed that they were regulars. One lady was buying the homemade fudge for her office, and another lady had three kids who knew exactly what specialty flavors they wanted. I'm so happy that I came in and will definitely be back!

Ohmygee!!! 1st time here and satisfied. We had the coconut almond bliss and the zanibar chocolate ice cream. Delicious! My bf was savoring every nite. It really hit the spot. They have many other flavors to choose from.

Best ice cream to get if you're NOT on a diet. Try my favorite: zanzibar. Best chocolate ice cream ever!!!!! No, seriously.

Love Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream! Great selection of flavors, with lots of unique ones. The flavor selection is especially great if you like chocolate. They have a dark chocolate ice cream called "Zanzibar", which they also use in several other flavors "Zanzimint" (Zanzibar chocolate and mint) and "Zoreo" (Zanzibar chocolate and oreo). Excellent ice cream, plus all the flavors are kosher. And the owner is so sweet and welcoming - she always greets customers warmly, making this feel like a real neighborhood place, not just some random store with good ice cream.

I have passed by this area at least a few times a week for most of my life and I do not know what took me so long to get in here. They have really good ice cream with flavors you wouldn't usually expect from a small place like this. For my first visit I decided to try their Snap-O-Lantern (a seasonal flavor) which consists of Pumpkin Ice Cream with Gingersnap cookies and a flavor that I am forgetting the name of (but it came with a little of everything - cookie dough, brownie bites, caramel). The Gingersnap cookies weren't very snappy, but the flavor really came through. I liked it a lot! They have so many other really interesting flavors, I can't wait to come back! So glad they are open all year long!

You will be greeted by smiling faces! It is the best ice cream we have found in terms of both selection and quality. Clean fun shop and the kids love it.
