One of our local faves. Food and service is always great!!

I visit this place at least once a month and I always order the pesto chicken & mozzarella panini because it's amazing! I also get waffle fries & soup, which comes with a pretty big portion. I never complain because I leave there satisfied. The seating, sometimes, is a bit of a hassle. Since they're not open throughout the day, mornings can be a little congested. Other than that, great place breakfast or lunch!

I've eaten here twice a year apart and both experiences were AWESOME. The service was great , our server kept our coffee mugs filled and was a great conversationalist . We had a table of 6 and each and everyone of us was pleased with our meal. I ordered the cheesecake french toast and it was so good I will dream of it. I can't wait to eat here again on my next visit back to see my family in Illinois .

Food 5 Service 5 Wait time 3 Worth the wait !! It's fun to watch how quickly they clear and reset the tables. They have carry out orders also. Call ahead if you want the apple pancakes- they take an hour.

They have a huge breakfast menu with everything. They also serve lunch. We had breakfast. Service was great. The food prep time was fast even though they were very busy. The prices are very reasonable and portions are large.

Delicious! I got the stuffed French toast by recommendation of the server. It was great. A little sweet for my taste, I would probably get waffles next time (they have so many varieties). My wife got the country skillet and said "it was amazing". If you are in the area, you absolutely have to stop here!

Consistent is the best word to describe this breakfast / lunch spot. Although I've never eaten lunch here the breakfast is always good as you would hope for. Nothing super special on the menu and the waffles are also just good. I don't like saying good vs. Great but this place is always good not great if that makes sense. Food portions are large for sure and service is always attentive in a typical diner waitress fashon. Lot of "sweetie", "honey", and "dear" names being used while getting served. It's a step up from your dirty breakfast diner with better atmosphere and wider food selection. Try it for yourself. I always come back because it's consistent and close to home.

Everyone says how good this place is, so yesterday my husband and I stopped by. There was no wait to be seated, our server was ok( a bit stand offish) but all in all,It wasn't terrible. We both got breakfast pancakes were good, bacon was nice and crispy!! My only gripe was that my home fries were a bit burnt :( My husband had French toast, and he said it wasn't bad. I would go back, please note if you get one of the breakfast combos know that the juice comes in like a shot glass(lol).! It says small and that's an understatement.!!!

If you're in the Plainfield/shorewood area I would highly recommend this place. I have yet to have a bad meal form here. The pancakes are good, as are the waffles (not as good as I thought they might've been from the name but still solid.). The omelettes are my favorite though they are very tasty and filling. The Acapulco omelette is my favorite.

A couple of years ago I remember service being better?... The food is pretty good. But service is seriously lacking, I don't know if the servers just have to big of sections to where they can't check on you or what it could be, but you spend some time just waiting to be greeted. One problem they don't have is dropping off the check extremely quickly.

  • Samantha T.

The service was absolutely the worst. Our food came out not as expected and the waitress was rude about fixing it. She said that we read the menu wrong and they would fix it this one time, but not again. We ordered our hash browns well done and twice they came back barely cooked. We waited 45 minutes for our food to come out the first time. We ordered Eggs Benedict, a skillet and two side orders of poached eggs. The eggs Benedict came with scrambled eggs and the poached eggs came out soft boiled. If our waitress had been nice about our problems it would have been okay, but she was so rude and put off that it made the entire experience awkward and uncomfortable. I will probably not come here again.

Always love eating here! Fast and friendly service. Good prices. Excellent food. Everything I've tried, I've genuinely enjoyed. Breakfast or lunch. The soups are delicious. They get you in and out. All with a smile!

As other reviewers have mentioned, the food at Crispy Waffle is always consistently good. Walked in Friday morning around 11 and were seated right away. Service was a tad slow, but as soon as we ordered the food came out very quickly. Our orders were simple, eggs, toast, fresh fruit (consisted of melon, watermelon, and pineapple), as well as 2 pancakes. The pancakes were delicious and fluffy, as they should be. It did take quite a while to receive our check after we had finished eating and the line to pay always seems a little clustered and long. Overall, I will keep coming back on occasion for a special breakfast. The food is always tasty and prices really weren't that bad and included a lot of food for the price.

Wow! I've been here a few times with my partner and while my past experiences entailed having average stuffed French toast brought to me by surly waitresses, today particularly stood out to me. Our waitress, Alex, was super sweet, funny and attentive(but not in a suffocating, overbearing way). I decided to shake it up and get a Santa Fe skillet and share an order of biscuits and gravy with my partner. The biscuits were a little dry, but the exceptional, home-style gravy made up for that. The skillet contained fair portions of everything and was very well done. My partner very much enjoyed his corned beef and hash as well. I do wish they would play music inside of the restaurant, I could hear 3 different conversations at any given time. Overall, it's my favorite breakfast restaurant in the Joliet area and will be back very soon!

  • Eric O.

A delicious breakfast in Joliet, IL. Who would've thunk it. I was spending the night in Joliet and I was ready for some delicious food in the morning. The Crispy Waffle didn't disappoint. I ordered a broccoli and cheddar omelet with the seasoned hash browns. I was delightfully surprised. The hash browns were well seasoned and just crispy enough. The omelet itself was your standard omelet. Nothing too exciting here. I'm taking a star off for the ridiculousness of the other customers. Someone spent the morning talking about very private topics incredibly loudly. Otherwise the Crispy Waffle was a divine breakfast stop and I will be back.

What a horrible place, the staff is rude and they don't have a system to sit people properly. Waited for 40 minutes after being told that it would only take 20, went up the hostess and they had no idea of what was going on, people that got there 35 min after my party sat down before us. Would not recommend

  • Josh B.

Sadly my second trip to the Crispy Waffle was a huge departure from the first. Honestly had I not been so please with my first trip this would've gone to two stars. The food was just not up to the same level as the day prior. I'm not counting them out but my food as well as my girlfriends was just not up to par. Service was fine and I had no Major issues, just going from perfectly crafted tasty food on a Tuesday to cold bland and borderline gross food on a Wednesday isn't a good trend.

  • Tony D.

The good Coffee was average but my cup never went empty The biscuit are fresh the eggs over easy were done correctly. The sausage patti were also good The bad The gravy while thick was white and not very flavorful Over all this place is a decent stop of a road trip and a much better alternative to McDonald's

Great breakfast food. The Corned Beef Hash Skillet is goooood. Service is short and to the point but friendly.

  • Anastasia Z.

Great service from waitress, food hot when served. Daughter had Acapulco Omelet with pancakes. I had Eggs Benedict. Breakfast food was very good not great but when you consider the area; it's worth the trip.

  • Clifford S.

I've been coming here pretty regularly with my daughter as she lives nearby. We chat and eat and catch up on life. The food is good, particularly the waffles, imagine that. Good coffee and great service round out a really nice place for breakfast. It's fast, not every expensive and I leave happy and full. Can't beat that.

    (4)
  • Ed B.

Expensive for breakfast, but good value. I have only ever ordered the bacon bits waffle or eggs Benedict. Both are consistently delicious. They like to brag about their hash browns, besides being a little undercooked, they're ok, but not special.

  • Jesse N.

Pretty good food. If you want to sit down on a Sunday. .. get here before the church crowd.

    (3)
  • Francesco R.

Everything ive had here is awesome (breakfast and lunch). I highly recommend the country skillet and their cream of chicken soup is worth going for on sundays. Dont be intimidated by the long waiting lines---this place is a well-oiled machine. They get you in, fill you up and get ya out!

    (5)
  • Darcy M.

The pancakes here are the best I've ever had, light and fluffy, so tasty! They also have awesome soup and giant omelets!

    (5)
  • Nate N.

The food is delicious. I had the biscuits and gravy with eggs and it was tasty. The service is pretty ok. Minus one star for not having nearly enough parking. It took longer to wait for a spot than it did to get a table!

  • Elizabeth G.

I have been here twice in the last couple of months for mommy daughter breakfasts. Both times, we didn't wait on a Saturday morning. WooHoo! The French toast kabobs are amazing. It is two skewers. Each have two half slices of French toast with strawberries and pineapple. Oh and a chocolate dipping sauce! I just dip the fruit but I imagine it would all taste amazing dipped in chocolate. The double chocolate waffle is kinda cakey and tastes like a brownie. Only eat if you are in the mood for a brownie breakfast. Pro-Tip: Try the passion fruit juice. You will thank me later.

  • Kayla K.

Favorite breakfast place hands down, many different meal choices. Always so friendly and prompt waitresses. Everytime I go there I order something different. I've never been disappointed. Can't go wrong by coming to breakfast here

  • Evan K.

We're pretty regular at this great place. Service is great, food is always good, nothing spectacular but better than most breakfast joints. It can get really busy at times but the wait us usually not bad at all. We are always only a party of two so anything larger might take a while when it is busy.

    (4)
  • Lizett V.

Can't get enough of this place. Love it to pieces. Leo's French toast is an overall yes. Oh hot damn, that is my jam. Tracy, a waitress there, is one of my top favorite people in the entire world. Very relatable, funny, and motherly. Livin' it lovin' it. Great food and good service.

  • Kayleigh L.

One of my FAVORITE breakfast joints of all time!!! Conveniently located right off of rt 59, this place is always booming on the weekends, but even if it looks packed to bursting and there are people waiting outside, I have never encountered more than a 15 min wait. I always order the egg white broccoli and cheese omelette with home fries ( which are AMAZING!!!!) and wheat toast. The omelette is always cooked to perfection! The home fries are what really sets this place apart from any old breakfast place, they are amazingly flavorful!! My husband usually orders the pancakes, eggs and bacon, always amazing as well. Pancakes are nice and thin yet still fluffy with rich syrup, they are delightful! The waitstaff is always perky, pleasant and attentive!! We have yet to have bad service in over 2 years of going there!!

    (5)
  • Tania M.

Amazing menu and staff. Ordered the coconut and almond French toast and I was not disappointed! Side of bacon was crispy and thick cut:)! Had a wonderful experience and can't wait to try more of their menu. Only complaint is the coffee refills, they don't ask you first so keep your cup guarded if you don't want more.

    (5)
  • Hanna C.

My boyfriend and I always eat here on the weekends, They are fast and have great food! I only knocked one star off because they sometimes they don't have the best customer service and are packed on the weekends Saturday mainly which sucks!

  • Robert G.

Had lunch here last week. Went with soup and sandwich combo. Soup was Chicken Tortellini and was very good. Sandwich was Chicken Salad which I also enjoyed very much. Combo came with choice of side and I went with Mixed Fruit. Very generous portion and very good quality fruit. Also came with a side of coleslaw. I am not a huge fan of coleslaw so I cant really say if it was any good or not. Service was very good restaurant was nearly full maybe 3 or 4 empty tables for most of the time we were there. There were 3 of us dining together and all of the portion sizes for each of us was very generous. You will not leave here hungry. Look forward to dining here again.

First time here. Now I'm stuffed with a stupid grin on my face. Banana pecan waffle, with hot syrup, and a country skillet, and all I can do is grin. Well played Crispy Waffle.

Reviews seemed great and menu selections sound wonderful. A full selection from savory items to dessert breakfasts . The food was good but it was not exceptional. I had a raspberry waffle. My husband had eggs, sausage, potatoes and pancakes. Done properly and juice was fresh squeezed. I saw people mentioned their coffee was great. It was NOT! It was pretty bad as coffee goes and many places in area do a great cup of coffee. I asked what brand and they said it was Papa Nicholas. Eggscited on 75th and 59 serves all this and a great cup of coffee. There was a 20 minute wait but they are efficient. Our food was served shortly after ordering and service was good.

  • Robyn H.

The waffles here were great. They were crispy and light. The eggs were really good also. The food was served hot and brought out rather quickly. Pleasant atmosphere. I only wish they would give u a larger glass.

This place is awesome! Healthy options for those on a diet. Great biscuits and gravy, even beyter omelets and pancakes! Beware the sunday after church crowd. Apparently, jesus asks his flock to go forth and gorge on pancakes

  • Michael C.

Went here because my daughter loves this place. My Son had a waffle, hash browns, and bacon, my daughter had french toast and bacon, and I had a sausage and cheese omelet, greek toast, hash browns, and bacon. The food was good. Service was good, will go here again. PS my daughter says you have to try the chocolate milk, she says its better than oberweis!!!!!!

  • Carla R.

Food is as good as one would expect from an ordinary restaurant, as well as the service and value. My major complaint is the musty-smelling carpet. When they had just opened up it wasn't an issue. I won't go there anymore for that reason alone.

Great food and quick service. Staff is always quick on their feet and efficient. Love coming to this place for breakfast.

A group of teacher friends went to Crispy Waffle for lunch to celebrate the end of the school year. We went May 27th. I ordered lunch but probably should have gotten breakfast. My food was good but their breakfasts looked great. I had the turkey club with split pea soup. I'm usually not a big fan of split pea but it was recommended so I went for it. It was delicious, I must say! The turkey club was nothing out of the ordinary, good, but hard to eat. I will definitely go back. Service was good, quick. i like that when we're rushed for lunch.

  • Liz F.

This place is SUPER BUSY on the weekends but they seem to get the tables turned over pretty quickly. The food is really good and HUGE portions.

  • Darla W.

This place is a perfect picture of how blah suburban breakfast places can be. Breakfast is one of my favorite meals to share with my family and I would not recommend anyone going here. The service is great, but the food is nothing you cannot buy out of the frozen section at the grocer. We will not be back and will be advising others to avoid.

  • Brianna R.

With a heavy heart, I tell you I am done patronizing Crispy Waffle. Their food has went downhill, and they're rude to the businesses and church that surround them. I go to the church, Holy Family, and our pastor told us that Crispy Waffle asked us not to park on their lot. First off, it's not "their lot" they share the lot with about 5 other businesses. Also, regardless of what religion they are, they should respect the church, considering many of their Sunday morning customers come from church. Many of the waitresses seem to have a chip on their shoulder too. I will be taking my money elsewhere.

My favorite breakfast/brunch spot in the whole area! Sure the wait can be long at times, but it's worth it!! Everything I've eaten there has been delicious and yummy! Friendly service as well. And sure the prices may be a bit higher than McDonalds, but you're paying for a fresh, wholesome, and QUALITY breakfast. I love this place, and it's quite the morning treat.

Good food, huge wraps wich i love, specially the spinach turkey blt ones . Great service. I'll be coming regularly.

  • Kit A.

You absolutely MUST try the pumpkin raisin and walnut pancakes. They are literally God's gift to anyone who loves pumpkin!! I came here for brunch with my friend and I was blown away by how delicious the food was! The service was great too, even on a busy Sunday morning after mass got out. My coffee was never empty and I left feeling full & happy. I'm definitely going to have to check this place out again regardless of it being in the middle of nowhere and 45 mins south of where I live. It'd be worth it :)

  • Steve G.

This is it!!! This is the place you have been hoping for and can't find anywhere. This place puts an original twist on the breakfast and lunch favorites. They also do a great job on the common favorites. I have a hard time deciding what to get when I am there. Everything is great and the menu is large enough to have something for even the pickiest person. But if you are still trying to decide go for the "Coconut crunch almond french toast" - awesome!!

I'm sorry, but no. I didn't care for this place. The food was just blah and the service wasn't any better. My wife and I stopped in on our way back to The Lou. It was a Saturday morning, so expected to busy. We actually got a seat within 12 minutes, after being told 20-25 in wait. I always enjoy that and I give them props for speedy seating, but that's about where it ends. The wife and ordered typical breakfast food...eggs, bacon, pancakes, toast, hash browns. The food was nothing exciting. My wife got the toast and it came literally drenched in "butter". I have never seen this much oily substance on toast. She asked the server if she could get some without butter and the lady gave her a bunch of attitude. She was grilling her about if she ordered it plain, etc. My wife is nicer than I am or less confrontational and was polite and simply said, "No, I didn't, but I didn't expect to have a pool of this stuff on it". The lady gave her a dirty look and brought her out some plain toast. I ordered the pancakes. They weren't too bad, pretty standard Bisquick type. However, again, the "butter". This came on the side, "whipped". I spread it on and immediately knew this was not butter. I could believe it's not butter. It was questionable even as a "butter-tasting" spread. Needless to say, we ate what we could and we got our check and got out. I don't like to rate a place on a bad experience if it's my only experience, but the food isn't getting any better if this is the quality. As far as the service, it was timely, just not friendly. Perhaps the rest of the staff is more friendly, I didn't get a read on anyone else. I just don't see anything that would make this place stand out over the 30 places to eat immediately nearby.

I love the Crispy! Pros: Everything I have gotten here is excellent, the pumpkin pancakes are heavenly, the stuffed french toast is delish, the omelets are yummy,...! I go about twice a month (I wish more, I mention prices later). The decor is pleasing, and the place is always kept clean. Everyone should give this place a try at least once, if given the opportunity. I am only there for breakfast, even when I go in the afternoon. My boyfriend loves the lunch options they have here though. I am always pleased with the food at the Crispy Waffle. Cons: The only negative thing I really can say about the place is that, to me (college student and seeminly always broke), I think the prices are a bit high, but I think they are reasonable in the sense that the food is noticeably homemade and the menu is kept small to ensure great, tasting, quality dishes. If I order hot tea though, I expect to get honey for it included, not 50 cents extra; first time I have been charged for a small packet of honey. Tip: To avoid a wait/big crowds, go after 10am or go during a week-day.

I've only eaten here a few times but it has been excellent every time. Fast service, friendly wait service, tasty food AND vegetarian sausage. Prices are average and there has been a wait but never very long. Parking was a bit of an hassle, but all worth it.

  • Cristina O.

This place was ok, been there twice. The first time I was there on the weekend, long wait line and food was ok. Second time was during the week, no wait line but I guess all the regulars know each other and are a bit snobbish towards new visitors. Even the wait staff plays favorites, food again was just ok. Old Fashioned pancake house on Jefferson St. in my opinion, has better food, awesome portions, and friendly service.

As a city dweller, I am overwhelmed with diners. The Crispy Waffle was terrific. Clean and spacious, we were quickly seated and attended to. I had the eggs benedict which was hardly adventureous, but was delicious. Price was right too. Look forward to returning soon!

This was our first official stop on our I-80 road trip from Chicago to Moline (originally Freddy's Pizza and Gelateria in Cicero was supposed to be our first stop but they were closed due to vacation). The Bacon Waffle was what drew us here. It seemed to be the perfect salty sweet mix in the same vein as kettle corn, sour patch kids and Milli Vanilli. Upon our waitress laying down the platter, we instantly lather it with butter, pour on the maple syrup, raise our forks full of goodness to our mouths and..........................it is only okay. Failed!!!! Somehow in my feeble mind, I cannot comprehend the two tastes. It's sweet, no it's salty, wait sweet again......whoa big chunk of bacon...salty!...ahhhhhhh! It's boggling - when I eat them separately I think they are a match made in heaven. Together, I'm so disappointed - like when I found out the Tooth Fairy is a small old Filipino lady. If you must visit, try out the Stuffed French Toast with Sweet Cheese like our waitress had recommended. Hopefully, your experience will be better than mine.

When we moved to Shorewood, we were looking for new restaurants. Crispy Waffle came highly recommended. It was love at first taste. The skillets are to die for and their pancakes are out of this world. We frequent them on a regular basis. It's especially busy on the weekends, especially with the big church next door. I recommend getting there early, however even when it's packed we seem to never wait longer than maybe 10 minutes.

  • Jazmin S.

Crispy Waffle has been our go to breakfast spot for awhile now, everything is good and the portions are huge!!! But for the first time last week, we tried their lunch, WOW!!! It was crazy good!! Reminds me of classic diner fare, but better. I had the BLT club and my husband had the mushroom burger. You had your choice of making it plain or deluxe (deluxe comes with fries and soup). They had Clam chowder so I made mine a deluxe. It was DELICIOUS!! I was good to go with the soup. Also, they have waffle fries, plus!!! My only complaint is that they close at 3, there should be a petition or something to get them to be open later!!!!

A few bad apples do spoil the bunch! I have been to this place two times thinking it must be great with all of the rave reviews but I haven't been able to capture the great experience others have. My first time at Crispy Waffle ll the hostess seemed to not care that I was standing right there in front of her. She kept carrying on her extended conversation with another patron at the cash register. There wasn't a single soul waiting to be seated and the place was relatively empty. She didn't even acknowledge my presence till she was done with her extremely important conversation. I'm thinking to myself how unprofessional. When she finally sat me down and I got a chance to order, my mouth was watering over the apple pancakes. I ordered them with a side of corned beef hash and was deeply disappointed. The apples in the pancake were unusually tart and some of them were brown. It was pretty obvious to me that they used some bad apples and I sent the dish back. The waitress returned with the dish and said for the tartness they use granny smith apples and they are known to be tart. As for the brown in some of the apples the cook said that the baking process turns the apples brown. I'm thinking they are talking out the side of their mouth because I know bad apples when I see them. The waitress did offer to let me get another one but I opted not because of the time it takes to prepare an apple pancake. She did credit me for it. The corned beef hash was under cooked as well. My second visit there was a little better but the food was lackluster as if it wasn't made with pride. I doubt if I will grant Crispy Waffle II the chance to exchange my money for the lackluster services and product they provide.

I thought the place was dirty and husband thinks you don't get your money's worth here. There are so much better breakfast places than this place

  • Matthew R.

The first time I ate here, I absolutely loved it. I came here again, and eh, it wasn't as good as I remembered. The portions of food were smaller than I remember. Maybe I just ordered the wrong dish? None of the staff had a smile to spare it seemed like. Everyone seemed like this was the last place they wanted to be. Believe me, and I know I wrote this in other reviews, a simple smile goes a long way when it comes to food service. It's good stuff here. Just a tad disappointed in the service and portion of food you receive. Will definitely be back again some day, I think. Maybe that experience will be better and I can bump this up an extra star? This last experience just left a bad taste in my mouth is all. Which is sad, because I know what this place is capable of. So GENIUS.

Quite honestly, I wasn't expecting much out of Crispy Waffle. But wow - I was impressed. Good coffee, great hash browns and fantastic pancakes. It was really packed (went on a weekday during Christmas week) but we were seated very quickly and service was still great. I will definitely be back!

Watered down coffee, decent breakfast spot in the Shorewood area.. A little bit better quality then IHOP. Wait during the weekend brunch time can be around 30 min to an hour. :( Pancakes are a little harder than usual for some reason. I noticed it and another customer at a different table complained about it. Flavored coffee syrups at your table to take away from the weak coffee here. :(

  • Jen D.

I have to say that this place is FABULOUS! Being a city gal, I was super amazed with the very low and affordable prices for a really well rounded and tasty meal. I had eggs, toast, the seasoned hash browns and coffee for something like $7. Nowhere in Chicago can you get the portions like this for anything less than $10-$12. Very nice atmosphere. The service was extremely quick. They have a variety of coffee creamers on each table also. Go here.

I had a GREAT BURGER!!!! It was called Big mouth burger. I've ate 3 times off it so far. So good!! And my Husband LOVED his skillet!!! Our waitress, Val, was Awesome too! Which is also important to have good service:) Bathrooms, men & women both were very clean.

I was recently at Crispy Waffle and was very surprised it wasn't anything close to what everyone claimed it to be. The food was decent but nothing spectacular. The people who worked there that morning were not very friendly either. The prices are pretty low and the portions are big but let's not forget the saying "You get what you pay for."

In search of old fashioned good ol' home cooked meals that you can't find in Chicago itself, we found ourselves yelping random cities along our trek out west this past weekend and stumbled upon Crispy Waffle. From the reviews, breakfast was certainly a must do, but what immediately tickled my curious tastebuds was the mention of bacon... in a waffle! Seriously, who does that? Apparently Crispy Waflle does. Unsure of what to couple this with - I mean does bacon really go with butter - isn't that almost overdoing it? and what about syrup? The momentary conundrum was solved when I opted for both atop the waffle. The anticipation was only heightened by the fact that I was huuuuuuuungry. Sadly to report, the long awaited bacon waffle barely raised my eyebrows and definitely did not send me into a tizzy. Now, we limited our intake because we had much food to consume in the hours to follow so in order to do this place justice, I will have to return, but when I do, I will not be ordering the bacon waffle. The other items on the menu were quite intriguing - full of fruit and ice cream and the like. Our waitress was pleasant enough so if in that neck of the woods again, I will have to venture to less bacon-y side of the menu.

Alright, Alright, Alright, Alright, ya'll going to learn something today! Crispy Waffle II, Shorewood, Illinois; this place has the best wait staff in the area for places of its kind, family friendly. The food is great, but I have to say they serve the smallest portions of fruit in the area, mini everything (i.e. Watermelon, Cantaloupe, Pineapple and Honeydew) but the food is what makes CP-II standout. Large portions, fluffy omelets, crispy bacon and the atmosphere so energized. This is a family restaurant and there is sometime babies doing the holler thing, but mom or dad hits them with that bottle and the noise goes away. This is a great place for breakfast , lunch and early dinner...see they close at 4pm. When you walk in you will be greeted and it doesn't matter who waits in you because they are all beautiful ladies (i.e. Tracy, Michelle, Crystal) there are a few newer ladies and they are wonderful too. So roll up on the Crispy Waffle-II one morning, but remember on Saturdays and Sundays the wait time will be a little long anytime after 8:00AM. Good Eating's to Ya!

I can't speak to the sweet options on the menu, however the savory protein side of the menu is bad. I went once and got bacon and eggs. The bacon was undercooked so I sent it back and what they returned to me did not even resemble bacon. I was disappointed, as I love bacon. The next time I opted for an omelette the omlette was too big (wasteful) and the eggs were so fluffy they lacked a good texture. The price for two omelettes two coffees and a side of sausage was $28 so this place is not cheap either. I would not go back. The "seasoned" hash browns were terrible as well.

Food is excellent. Place is decent. It's inexpensive. Love this place. Only downside is it is always very busy on weekends. We waiting for 45 minutes last weekend. It's worth the wait, but I sure wish not to wait this long...

Yum. Great food. Huge portions. Sometimes a long wait but it's definitely worth the wait...

Great breakfast spot! The Carrot Cake Waffle is worth the trip! Ask for the sweet cream cheese not the regular that it comes with. The Nutella Crepes are amazing and the reason this is MY breakfast spot. It does get over crowded on Sundays but there is a reason. The only reason for 4 stars instead of the 5 that the food deserves is the staff that seats you needs to smile and be more welcoming! Come on guys and gals, smile your place is great!

Found this place while in town on business. Portions are generous and pricing is affordable. The menu is extensive and full of choices. In addition there are daily specials not even on the menu. If I lived in the area this would be my go-to place for breakfast on the weekends, even though the wait for a table is probably at least 25 minutes on the weekends. I think you could go there every weekend and still not eat your way through the menu. Whether waffles or creeps or "haystacks" (which is what I ordered on my first visit), the combinations and favors seem endless. My wife and I shared a "haystack" on our first visit, and it was more than enough for both of us. On our second visit we shared the Caye's Crepes, which was 3 large Crepes filled with fresh fruit and a cheese, and then topped with fresh fruit as well, and again more than enough for us to leave satisfied. This is just the kind of place I wish that I had near my house

This place is ok. The long lines on week-ends do move fast as does the service here. The food is good but not great. The waitresses are all very friendly and work hard. About the only true negative I can say is that it is way overpriced and the portions are small. It is a place I would go back to but there are other places I would go back to first.

Despite having to battle the route 59 construction, crispy waffle is one of my top three favorite places to have breakfast. Their menu is extensive and the food was great. The parking situation was a bit bad but the food totally made up for it.

They have some great breakfast plates. I had the vegi skillet and it was yum. It didn't have tons of potatoes and no vegi, it was quite the opposite. Very good pancakes too!

When the Crispy Waffle first opened it was great I loved getting the carrot cake waffle but recently it has been really bad. The servers are terrible, very unfriendly, and they seem to rush you. The food portions have gotten a lot smaller. My family will not be returning here for breakfast anymore. There are so many restaurants around that have better quality food and service. If I wanted a server with a bad attitude I would stay home and have my wife wait on me.

Great food for a family/Greek restaurant - gets too crowded for breakfast on weekends! They need to open up for dinner too - the menu would be good anytime.

PHENOMENAL food. A bit busy (actually ALWAYS busy), so get there early and expect a short wait. But, it is well worth it!

Big food and little prices... Fantastic!!! I had a skillet and my friend did as well. I somehow ate most of it while she had to take more then 1/2 home. Of course my gluttony made my stomach feel like it had been attacked with coke and pop rocks. All in all it was good. 2 people and a total bill less than 25$ is fantastic I think.

I'm definitely a Crispy Waffle fan. I enjoy their breakfast items and their portions are huge while their prices are extremely reasonable. Also, their soups are amazing! They rotate and usually have a couple of different soups every day, and I've loved them all, particularly the cream of chicken with rice and the cream of asparagus. The reason they're not a 5-star for me is because I've tried a couple of their non-breakfast items - a wrap and a salad - and I didn't really care for either one. We do visit fairly often and I would recommend them to friends, but more for the breakfast items than anything.

My husband and I stopped here on wim and were not dissapointed. I had the carrot cake waffle that was absolutely wonderful. My husband had the cinnamon apple waffle that was great as well. We got a side of bacon that was also darn good. AND, the food was FAST. The coffee wasn't great, but they had a nice hot tea selection. I wish I didn't so far away, I'd head back to try more of the menu.

They live up to the name, "Crispy Waffle." Very good waffles. Good bacon and link sausage. I prefer their plain hashbrowns (without green peppers). They have delicious food, a little pricey and on weekends tend to have a long wait if you go too late in the morning. Fresh squeezed orange juice, order a large though because the small is the size of a shot glass if you're drinking it. Would highly recommend. It's the place we take all our out of town guests for breakfast.

LOVE this place! WONDERFUL for breakfast and lunch! My kids claim that they have the best clam chowder...even better than out east! Hey, if a 10 year old and 13 year old like the clam chowder that must say something! Their stuffed french toast is DIVINE! Come STARVED or order one plate for two people....their portions are plentiful! Can be pricy if you order a ton of sides. Thier OJ is worth it so splurge!

Went there to meet a friend for breakfast, the wait wasn't to bad but the food was just o.k. My waffle wasn't even warm enough to melt the whipped butter and the chocolate chip pancakes I ordered for my daughter just had a couple chocolate chips on top none in the pancake batter or on the bottom pancake. My husband got lunch and said the chicken salad sandwich was good. It wasn't bad but definitely not good enough for us to make the drive again.

Great place for breakfast/brunch on the weekends, but can get a bit busy. Terrific pancakes and, of course, waffles.
