Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

This my little spot right here. I'm from Chicago so I'm always looking for a good place to get Chinese food. I like coming here because they have easy access and it's easy to get in order in. There never too busy to take in order. Prices are a few dollars too high, but what can you expect getting this type of food in the suburbs. It's a good spot for what it's worth... no complaints here. Delicious and cheap Chinese food. Love ordering from here. You have to try the pot stickers! They recently changed management, but we didn't notice a difference in the food, service or quality - still outstanding.

My favorite Chinese take-out place in the area closed after more than 20 years. I have been looking for a replacement and decided to give 7 Luck a try last Saturday. My wife and I each tried one of our standards - sweet and sour shrimp for my wife and Mongolian beef for me. And egg rolls. Plus, a large order of pork fried rice. One thing we immediately noticed is that the egg rolls are larger than most places. And, they have a spice that is not common for the dish. It may have been allspice. It was an interesting addition and quite good. The Mongolian beef was tasty. Again, the recipe is a bit different but very acceptable. I did miss the cellophane noodle topping that most places provide. But the flavor was quite good and made up for the missing noodles. The sweet and sour was pretty standard. But the sauce wasn't heated enough to be fully liquid and had a jelly like texture. A minute in the microwave solved that. I'm assuming this was not the normal way the restaurant serves the sauce. On the plus side, the pineapple in the sauce seemed fresh rather than canned. The fried rice also was pretty standard. Maybe it had a few less vegetables than I have seen elsewhere. One thing to note is that each entree came with a serving of egg drop soup. I have never been a big fan of the dish, but I tried it. It was about the same as every other time I tried it. So, summing up, 7 Luck is a decent neighborhood place for take out (they also deliver.) I will explore the menu further. But I may try other places too rather than making this my forever Chinese take out.

The worst chinese food I've ever had. We call it Seven Yuck. The food had no flavor even the eggs rolls were bad.

Don't be fooled...this is in no way considered "gourmet..." but thay being said, it's still a solid take out joint for cheap, fast Chinese food. My fav is the Chicken Kow Chow Fun. It's loaded with chicken, veggies, and soft delicious wide rice noodles. And let's not forget, the portions are insanely huge. I have enough for dinner, lunch tomorrow, and a late afternoon snack.

Staff was very friendly when I came in for pickup. The portions were generous as well. The food itself was average in my opinion and the pricing was average as well. Overall, I had an above average experience with the staff and an average experience with the food.

My Fiancé and I ordered from them. They were relatively quick and I can see why. We were so starving but we were looking for something inexpensive yet tasty. From now on, we will definitely just pay the extra for food that is MEDIOCRE. My Fiancé dumped his sesame chicken. I took a few bites out of my egg foo young. The food was so terrible. I immediately ordered from another asian food location that we usually go to. I can't believe I wasted money on such crappy food. The rice was clearly left over for more than a day. I mean, it was bad.

Okay, I've been going to this place for 10+ years and I'm always going to go here. The thing that I love most is that this is one of the few places that have combos after lunch. Their prices are fair and they always let me add additional crab rangoon without ordering a full order (I love them, but I don't need 5). Compared to some of the other Chinese Food places I've checked out on Yelp recently this place hands down is better than all of them. The flavors and portion sizes are great, and I'm never disappointed. The only time that I'm ever disappointed is when I realize that EVERYTHING on my plate is fried, but that's my fault not there's. I should stop ordering crab rangoon, fried rice, and sweet and sour chicken. They are always nice when you order and when I'm slammed for time and call 10 minutes before closing they still take my order which is really great! Anyways I've tried their sweet and sour chicken, shrimp egg foo young, and chicken and broccoli recently. Oh and yeah their crab rangoon are really good! If I try anything else I'll update my review.

We order from here all the time. The food is delicious, the portions huge, and always ready when I get there to pick up our order. We have tried the basics and some new options from 7 Luck and have not been disappointed. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Really unhappy with Seven Luck. I ordered orange chicken not spicy and when I got it home, it was covered in red pepper - so hot I couldn't eat it at all! My boyfriend got general tao's chicken, which was equally as bad. The meat was tough and chewy. He didn't eat his and we both threw our food out. Prices are good IF you can eat it....but a horrible deal if the food is inedible going in the trash. Overall really disappointed by Seven Luck. Won't be back.

I ordered a delivery of bunch of soups....eggdrop, hot n sour, wonton soup with some appetizers. I can tell they clooked fresh ones for each soup, not the one that's sitting there in the pot all day. Because I'm so close to the restaurant, other appetizers arrived so fresh like right out of kitchen. They were fast and the lady on the phone was very nice too.

I love this place, yes they are fast, yes they are cheap but food is great. Their Chicken Egg Foo Young so the greatest! Only problem I have is that if I order more then one item that comes with white rice, they only give you one rice box not a box for each order. But other then that this place is great :)

Do not order from here!!!! The food is awful. My husband and I just ordered take out, and we are disgusted. They got my order completely wrong (gave me orange chicken instead of sesame chicken) and my husband's kung pao was literally inedible. All of the food is the same consistency, even the vegetables: mushy, cold, soggy, overcooked, and gross. I called and complained and she was very nice, offered me a free meal, but I will never go back.

My wife and I, at one time, ordered from Seven Luck with some frequency of regularity. It wasn't good, but then again it wasn't bad. With the wide selection of potential places to order in Schaumburg, this was just one of those places that fell into our rotation. Not anymore. We ordered in from them this past Sunday. My wife ordering salt and pepper shrimp and I getting my regular General Tso's Chicken dinner special. All was going well as I started digging in until about the 5th bite into my fried rice, I noticed something odd looking in my food. It definitely didn't belong. After rolling it over with my fork for a few moments, it clicked in my head that there was the seared remains of an insect in my food. Specifically a beetle that looked like the last moments of it's life had been nestled in rice, green onions and bits of scrambled egg before making it's way to my styrofoam container and into my home. Immediately fighting the urge to throw up in my mouth, I had my wife check her food, hoping she could at least finish her meal. Not so. There was half of another insect in her food causing her to collect every last bit of food and throw it in the trash as I called the establishment. After explaining the situation, the manager of the place was initially willing to offer me a 15% or 20% discount on our next meal, wrongly assuming there would be a next time. I retorted that I wanted a full refund and was told I'd need to come in. I packed up my bug food and headed over. Upon showing them the contents of my meal, they retorted that it was, "nasty", and proceeded to apologize profusely. Nasty indeed. They happily refunded the full balance of what we'd paid for the meal, but the damage is still done. Sure, I would love to patronize a place that'd offered run-of-the-mill food and did so relatively well, but mentally, it's always going to be that place where a bug was in my food. For that, I can't condone ordering from them anymore.

If your are looking for very good Chinese food in Schaumburg IL then this is the place to be. New Ownership major improvements. Prices are far with generous portions. Go and try out this place it is well worth it.

Ordered from this place for the first time via Grubhub. The food was ready reasonably quickly, and I chose to pick it up from within the store. It was ready and waiting when I retrieved it, and the staff was quick to give me the order. Unfortunately, the food was of poor quality. I had ordered the orange chicken (spicy), crab rangoon, and received a free egg roll because of the coupon they offer via Grubhub. Every item had a rather bad aftertaste, as though the oil in the fryer was bad. The filling in the crab rangoon actually had large chunks of crab meat in it, which is nice compared to other services in the area that serve their rangoons with 99% cream cheese and little specks of crab meat. Unfortunately, the dough had the bad aftertaste mentioned above, which ruined the rangoon experience overall. Once again, the egg roll filling was excellent, but the wrapping had the poor aftertaste. The aftertaste continued with the orange chicken, which was more the neon-red color you'd expect to see on hot wings than your normal orange chicken appearance. Looks were deceiving though, and the chicken was pleasingly spicy, not overly hot, but not overly weak either. In this case though, it could've used a bit more kick to drown out the aftertaste. Overall, I would probably try this place once more, as their base ingredients seem to be quality, but the finished product's quality seems to be based on if they remembered to clean the fryer or not.

I wanted to try this restaurant because I was looking for a better Chinese restaurant. I almost wish I would have stuck to my old place. I called in the order for delivery. I gave my credit card number and she kept saying it was declined. I called the cc company and they told me because the expiration date was entered wrong both times. I only had to repeat myself three times! This irritated me but I still proceeded with my order. Fast delivery! We were told 40 minutes but within 20 minutes our food arrived. Ordered the Mongolian beef but couldn't eat it because it was sweet to me. My husband had Shrimp with lobster sauce and couldn't eat his dish because it was extremely salty. We both had tummy aches from the crab rangoon/egg rolls. I dunno what it was but I can tell you we will not be eating here again.

Got take-out. The service was friendly. The food was flavorful, but there were some problems. I ordered the sesame tofu dish for $9. It featured a wonderful savory, sweet and slightly spicy sauce. However, the tofu was spoiled and the broccoli was overcooked. I called them about the spoilage and they were willing to make me a new one, which had good tofu and much greener broccoli, and was totally delicious. If only I didn't have to drive back to get it, argh. The egg foo young was good, though the gravy was lumpy. Will likely give them another try; hopefully this was just a bad day for them. Note: If you don't like MSG, remember to ask that they leave it out.

This restaurant is my new favorite restaurant to be. It is recently under new management. The service is friendly, the food is delicious. Seven luck has both the quantity and quality food. I always go there for the lunch and dinner special. I loVe it very much, and it fills me up. The price is cheap, but the food is always great.

Schaumburg...it you haven't tried this place yet....get going!!! I ordered delivery from Seven Luck and it is some of the best local Chinese I've ever had. The Egg Rolls were freshly made (these were not frozen). The General Tso's Chicken was delicious. It was lacking an adequate quantity of broccoli and the sauce tasted a little store bought, but overall still really good. Finally...the best part...the excellent fortune cookies!!! These must have been made within the last few weeks by how crisp they are. I'm not sure if they just received a new shipment or if this is a regular thing...but really great. They delivered hot delicious Chinese food in about 1/2 an hour.

excellent! just ordered for the first time! egg rolls were great! had sweet & sour chicken (very good) and mushroom fried rice (also very good) huge portions! the delivery was quick! they said 1/2 hour, but, I don't think it took that long. will for sure order again!

Excellent service. Will help with special requests. Food is delicious, fresh and MSG free!!!

The potstickers were one of the best I have had. The mongolian beef was okay, nothing special. The empress chicken was one of the best. But the general tso's chicken was the worst I ever tasted. I would recommend the potstickers as an appetizer and the empress chicken as your main dish.
