Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

Loved coming here as it was extremely close, the portions were huge, and the lady at the desk was always extremely cheerful, not to mention she would always give you a free hot or iced tea with every meal. Unfortunately, as Ken J. said, I'm fairly certain this place has been closed for good. It hasn't been open since at least December but I was hoping they owners had just taken an extended vacation. However, I passed it yesterday and noticed that the "Ho Ho Chop Suey" sign above the door has been taken down.

Sadly, Ho-Ho has been dark for the last two months. No sign on the door and no message on machine. The newest owners are/were very friendly and the quality of their food greatly improved. Everything was good and sizes were plentyful. I hope they open again soon. It will be a sad day if Ho-Ho Chop Suey stays closed for good. It's been a staple in the neighborhood for 40 years.

I used to work in this strip mall, and I was saddened that the food here wasn't better. I love Chinese food, but this wasn't generally worth eating. I'd give them one star, but they have a saving grace: their pot stickers. Really, really good especially the sauces they come with. Unfortunately they're pretty heavy with MSG, so I can't have too many of them.

WAS a devoted follower of Ho Ho for 20+ years and even continued to drive 35 mins each way to enjoy after I moved out of Sch'g. Tonight I sadly learned that the restaurant seems to be under new ownership/mgmt and is just not the same. Food was tasteless. They forgot the egg rolls. They added carrots to the cantonese chow mein and fried rice--not good. S/S pork sauce was pre-made and chinese fried shrimp were 80% batter. Woman working the counter could literally not speak a single word of English. Just another so-so Chinese takeout place now. Very, very sad.

This is a chinese take out place, so there is no place to sit inside. It is very small place and it gets got in there. Not only that, but the prices are okay and there is no delivery.

What an awesome find walking distance from my house! I moved to Schaumburg 3 weeks ago and we've been here twice. My boyfriend likes the hot and sour soup. I got the general tso's chicken and the beef and brocolli dinner. I've also tried the pork fried rice and shrimp fried rice. The owners are very friendly and the hot and cold tea is very good. I would recommend the passion fruit. There is a definite attention to detail and it shows. I forgot to take pictures because I couldn't wait to eat it! In the strip mall at Carver/Schaumburg rd.

Great food and great customer service. They offer you complimentary drinks. I love getting my steamed vegetables with white sauce and chicken, try it there you would see what I am talking about. :))) very nice people too.

I, too, am a "Chinese Food" addict. My Mom was the best cook. She made the best Chinese Pepper Steak. She also made a "Chinese Skillet"-same brown gravy with beef-but with snow peapods and cauliflower....yumMY :) Even though I've lived in Schaumburg "forever", I'd only been here maybe once with the original owners. I wasn't sure where I was going last night...and am SO glad that I decided to come here. I'd been here once before-but tried to avoid Schaumburg Road with all of the Never-ending construction...(yeah, I'm spoiled) and then the management of the strip mall did some refacing and resurfacing...but I am bound and determined to buy locally and to help my community. I had the Beef with Green Pepper and Tomato (aka Pepper Steak)-1/2 order-it was D E L I C I O U S!!! And a very generous serving size-I could have probably saved half for lunch today. I also received Tea (hot or iced) on the house. She offered different flavors and I chose Cherry-THAT was delicious, too!!! AND...she also brought out veggie egg roles-on the house-they were also so very yummy... :D My bill came out to $7.35 WITH tax... Writing this is making me hungry, I may have to drop in on them again very soon. Try this Chinese place-they have lunch specials, too!

New Management, new menu but still the same old family hospitality and good food. The Shrimp fried rice is great. The Egg Rolls are delicious. The Fried Zucchini (think tempura) is terrific. Orange Chicken and Sweet and Sour (my children's staples) are delicious and the chicken has just the right amount of batter in stead of 10 pounds of fluffy batter some places like to use to make their chicken pieces look bigger. They'll keep me coming back and I'll be looking to try the rest of their fare.

This place is TERRIBLE I would so much rather cook frozen Pf changs meal. The crab rangoons were like a pre-made item and terrible. The sushi so far was good but I will never order again to find out. This place just took new ownership I liked the old place better.

Pretty excellent food at reasonable prices. This is a small carry-out only place (no dine-in, no delivery) but the food is consistenly good and usually ready fast. They do take credit/debit cards now, so no worrying about having to have the cash available. The only thing that disappointed me was their crab rangoons. I used to love them, but the last few months they put absolutely no filling in those things...it is basically an empty fried wonton. I even went so far as to take them back and ask for a refund, they gave me my money back but the quality didn't improve, so we stopped ordering them. The rest of the food is good, though, so we keep going back.

I am not even sure where to start... About a week ago I received a take out menu for ho ho in the mail, and being the Chinese food addict I am.. I decided to give it a try. First off, the woman who took my order had no knowledge of ANYTHING on the menu... not even of the selection of pop they have. I had ordered sesame chicken and chicken fried rice, and my grandmother ordered chicken chow mien and crab rangoon. Both choices where HORRIBLE... I don't even understand how a restaurant would find what was sent to us acceptable. The sesame chicken was hard as a rock and burnt from being deep fried for wayyyyy tooooo long, and it looked like it was microwaved after the fact. The chicken fried rice was more of a soup.. the rice was not fried, it was also microwaved and all stuck together. They had also left out an order of rice and the broccoli that was suppose to come with my order. I would not suggest this restraint to my worst enemy, I was so disappointed.

I used to live about 10 minutes walking distance away from this place, so I went whenever I had a Chinese craving. They have good chicken fried rice. That's probably my favorite. They have decent portions, but it's annoying that they only take cash. I think it's ridiculous that they don't have a credit card machine. I don't know many people that carry around a lot of cash, and every time I'm waiting for my food, I notice everyone I'm waiting with going into the 7-11 to get cash out of their ATM. Come on now...it's practically 2010- get a credit card machine.

Ho-Ho is the greatest chinese place in the NW burbs! They take cash, credit, and debit now (no more cash only) and the food is AMAZING! It is a carry out only place so as long as you aren't lazy and don't mind having to pick up your food, highly recommend the ho.

As far as chinese food goes in Schaumburg, this is the best place that we've found. The food is affordably priced and the portions are generous. The one aspect i'd like them to improve upon is their cash only policy, or I'd at least like them to install an ATM in the front of the store.
