The spring rolls were the tiny variety you get thirty to the bag in the frozen section of the supermarket, and at $3.50 for three, a complete ripoff. The Szechuan beef was a strange concoction, with zero actual Szechuan spices discernible, and an overabundance of green peppers. The white rice was overcooked. First and last visit!

For such horrible food, one would think that they would at least be polite. Everything they serve looks like slop, The fountain drink machine was not working and they still sold me a fountain drink and have a problem refunding my money, save your money and go to panda express!no i did not finish my food! I became frustrated when I told the employee about the soda machine, and she replied " we know" in which I told her why would she charge me for it, when she knew it was not working properly. Again I did finish my food, let alone make a dent in it!

I'm always excited for a new place to open in my hood...but Asian Kitchen isn't going to cut it. Many others have named the many better places in the area and they speak the truth. Asian Kitchen recently opened and is nicely redone with a nice, clear menu up front. The fun stops there. My friend and I gave it a go but weren't exactly greeted when we walked in. Just awkwardly stood looking at the menu while the guy walked up to the register and awkwardly stood in front of us. He took my order then gave me my change with one hand in his pocket. He was nice enough but his completely lackadaisical attitude put me off. After taking our orders he went to the kitchen and cooked our orders. They were then brought out to us and I must say, the portions are small for the expensive prices. I had the orange chicken and wasn't impressed with the rather liquidy sauce over the grilled chicken pieces. It wasn't horrible, completely edible and I ate i... but I left still hungry and unsatisfied. When we left a girl sitting down in a booth with her legs up said bye & thanked us for coming. I absolutely appreciate being thanked for the business but again such a lethargic attitude. I won't be back to Asian Kitchen with so many other good options nearby and I'm sorry to say, this place will not last.

This is the kind of food you get in Woodfield mall. Fairly "Americanized". Small portions/high price. I came in for lunch today on SUNDAY 12 noon. The place was empty. I tried two entrees & added the $3 for crab Rangoon & soup. Rangoons appeared to have fake crab in them, but I got two small squares. They forgot the soup but by this point how could I care? The Shrimp Tobjan had a lot of garlic which I give points for. The vegetable Singapore noodle was nice but no real curry bang. No egg. roasted/burnt peppers make my day, but ultimately this too was overpriced at $7. I ate everything that was present except for the rice bowl. I felt $18.95 was excessive for no doggie bag.

Love this place! Food is amazing and always served hot and fresh. It can be a bit spicy for those who are not used to eating spicy food. However, you can always request the level of spice you want. The portions are big enough to share or eat alone depending upon how hungry your are. The atmosphere is casual and the place is always kept clean. Must try this place!!!

Nice staff but the food is pretty basic and it took quite a while to come out. Decor is very basic cafe style. Nothing to make me go back even as someone eating in the area quite often.

Amazing indo-chinese!!!! The price is very reasonable! The food even better compared to the other indo-chinese restaurant in the area! The ambiance is very casual... Just a note - spicy is very spicy so I would go for medium/mild spicy. My fiance and I loved the vegetarian medallions in Manchurian sauce and the fiery paneer! DELISH LUNCH!

I this place as this is just near to our home, taste is good .. Like an authentic indo Chinese food. However the person taking order always seems very unfriendly. Moreover quantity is less for the amount they are taking.

I would say the food over here is a mix of Indian and Chinese. The dishes are quite hot!! I tried a bunch of options between my 2 visits over here. In soups, I tried Manchow and Tomato Ginger. Manchow was ok. I have had better Manchow soups. Tomato Ginger was something different. Kind of Veg Clear soup with tomato cubes and ginger wedges. I liked it. In appetizers, I tried american corn pepper salt. It probably was deep fried corn kernels garnished with pepper and salt. It was ok. Pan Fried Chilly Paneer was really nice and quite hot, Indian hot. In entrees I tried Paneer in Szechwan sauce and Cauliflower Manchurian in Manchurian sauce. I liked both the dishes. The fried rice was nice as well. The ambiance is quite nice and modern. Prices are quite less.

Good Indo Chinese food. Very spicy. Had Szhezuan chicken and it was very good. Pan fried Paneer was also very good. Reasonable prices, this place is a better choice compared to Bombay Chopsticks

The vegetables tasted like they were frozen, the shrimp weren't good either. It was a waste of my money.

An outstanding Asian cuisine for the price they give you! Very warm atmosphere and great staff that works there made sure I had an awesome experience. Their Mongolian beef is a must try. They provide plenty of vegetarian options as well which I think is brilliant.

Singapore Noodles dish was very good. Mix your own soda machine. Friendly staff. Clean and simple, comfortable decor.

This place looked nice so I thought I'd try it after work. I was the only on there, ordered two appetizers and waited for over 20 minutes. The food was ok, not as good as most Chinese places. Also I paid almost 9 bucks and got very little for that, would not recommend. (Got the spring rolls and wontons, both were tiny)

Modern interior. Food was soggy and tasteless. Edamame was terrible, which I thought was impossible to mess up. Menu is confused.

We went today for the first time. Reviews were a bit questionable on Yelp, but we figured we would give it a shot. First off, the atmosphere was really cool! I liked the overall decor, very modern, sleek. Very well done there. Menu was a bit confusing to order from (you order at the counter). A bit confusing as it seemed like you could add whatever sauce you wanted, but really you could only to a few things, etc. Anyway, once we figured out the menu the rest was smooth sailing. I ordered chili garlic noodles with beef, chicken, and shrimp with chicken spring rolls. Others ordered things like orange chicken, spicy beef, etc. The restaurant is an interesting mix of Indian and Cantonese food. I told the nice lady behind the counter hot was ok but not "stupid hot" or "stupid garlic". She was really cool about everything and was helpful. Anyway, we got our order number, sat down, and they bring the food when it's ready. Cool cool. Food comes out, mine is first. Sooo - ok, here's the deal. The noodles were like Barilla angel hair pasta, broken up into small pieces, mixed with beef, shrimp, chicken. I took a bite of it - WOW insanely hot. I enjoy spicy food, but this was a bit much (especially since the lady told me it wasn't stupid spicy :). In any event, a bit much. Anyway, the quality of the meat was also questionable. The beef and shrimp were both tough and had a pre-frozen consistency. Chicken seemed ok. Veggies were also ok, but overall it was not too good. The chicken egg rolls also tasted very frozen. It did not seem like something that was made on-site. In any event, I would not eat there again based on those two dishes. My colleague had the orange chicken and she said "wow, this is very frozen tasting orange chicken". I make a lot of frozen General Tso/Orange Chicken Chinese food from Trader Joe's and, sorry guys, it was better than this :(. I took a bite and was like, "hmm not so much". The other two ladies with us had beef dishes and one had some kind of chicken won ton (or some type of wonton). The won tons also tasted frozen, but overall they said the beef was passable. There was one really good thing, though, which is why it gets 2 stars (that and the decor was really neat). The chili lime charred edamame was super tasty. Definitely recommend that if you go. I really wanted to like this place since it is literally 2 minutes from the office, but with Chef Ping down the street and Yu's Mandarin across town, it's hard pressed to really say it was good food. I would probably do Panda Express over this one. I know they're new and they might get better with time, so I'm not opposed to giving it another shot in the future. Today, though, it wasn't very good at all. Sorry Asian Kitchen :(.

Tried Chicken Hakka Noodles, Chicken Schezwan and AK Chicken. Taste - Average. They appear to be using frozen chicken, not properly thawed, taste heavily dependent on red pepper and hot sauce. Quantity is below expectation for what you pay. Nearly half of what you'd expect for Appetizers and Chicken gravy. Overall, repeatable for taste, not for quantity.

The Indo-chinese cuisine is very popular in India and sought out very much for Indians living abroad. If you've ever had indo-chinese food in India, then this place serves dishes very similar. Be aware, with the authentic flavor, the dishes do come spicy so if you want it spicier, ask for hot sauce on the side. If you don't like spicy flavors, then tell them to make it milder. The food is served fairly quick. The manchow and corn soup were delicious. It is very affordable to order something, and just in case you don't like it, order something else. I highly disagree you will order something else. The portions are great as well. Anything in manchurian and schezwan sauce is a must for the entree! The singapore noodles was a little blander than what you normally get at a pure Chinese restaurant. The white rice is supposed to be overcooked! Asian cuisine uses short grain jasmine rice so not sure why other reviewers had a problem with it. If you want quick, fast, good tasting Indo-Chinese food with "bang for your buck," pick Asian Kitchen! If not, then go to Bombay Chopsticks also in Schaumburg. Good but pricey, primarily focused on atmosphere.

My husband and I LOVE Asian food, so we had to try out the new place. It was so close to our home too. First off, we were there at 12:15 PM on a Friday which should have been peak lunch time, and there was only one other table of guests. For the next 40 minutes that we were there, only two sets of customers came in. Maybe a slow day... not so sure. Another reviewer wrote how the menu was confusing to order from, and we completely agree. We asked the cashier several questions, and he couldn't give very good descriptions for the food. We almost walked out, but decided to give the food a chance. We settled on Shrimp with the mild garlic sauce, sweet corn soup, egg roll appetizer, and the chicken with Singapore noodles. We were very disappointed in the portions and quality of the food. The egg roll appetizer was tiny. There were literally 5 shrimp in my order, mostly sauce. And we were searching for the chicken in the noodles. There were only scraps of chicken. I felt like I was eating the frozen Yakisoba noodles from Costco. Our meal cost $20. Not worth it at all. We will not come back here. You can literally go 1/2 a block East on Algonquin Road to Hong Kong Café which is a hidden gem of a place. It's quick, cheap, and oh so yummy! Their portions are huge, and it's true Cantonese cooking. OR of course our other fave is to go further east on Algonquin to Chef Ping which is packed every day for lunch because their lunch portions are huge also and their food is delicious. Their food is more Chinese-Korean style. We love the Ping's chicken wings, tofu with king mushrooms, noodles with black bean sauce, seafood soup....... and so much more! Asian Noodle House near Higgins and Roselle is awesome too. Their pho, fried rice, lemon grass chicken wings are some of our fave dishes there. If you're searching for Asian food in the Schaumburg area, there are so many better places to try. My husband is Chinese, and he says you know an Asian place is good if you see Asian people eating there. You'll see tons of Asian people at all the places I listed above, not this place. Sorry.

Horribly disappointed. My mother and I stopped in for a quick bite around 2:00pm. Admittedly after the lunch hour, but as it was open we expected good food. I ordered spicy tofu with veggies and got a plate of *tiny* pieces of tofu and a million chunks of bell pepper. Wouldn't have been bad if they named it tofu and pepper, but I was expecting the usual Asian veggie mix - broccoli, carrots, water chestnuts, etc. Also got half a cup of dried out rice. My mother ordered mild pan-seared chicken. She got deep-fried, spicy ("7 out of 10 on the spicy scale"), and another disappointing serving of bell peppers. Overall felt more attention was paid to decor than to the quality of food.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
