Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Small place, but we came for the infamous beef roll. It was good! The soups were bland and fries needed seasoning or salt. But the main dish was good. Nancy was very attentive and chatted with us :-)

Oh brother(s) where do I start? The beef roll is the claim to fame in this establishment, and for good reason, it's absolutely delicious! However the rest of the menu is severely lacking in taste and options. This town has its fair share of new american style restaurants, Brothers needs to step up to the plate to compete. My biggest issue has always been the service. They have a high turnover rate with the serving staff, and every time I visit, it's always a new bunch of servers. Without proper training, you'll unwillingly become accustomed to long wait times, botched orders, and receiving your soup after the entree has arrived. My best suggestion is to order the beef roll to go and skip the poor service. This place has the potential to be something more, and I hope they can figure it out.

came back in town a month ago from california...had to stop at Brothers restaurant and we got 2 beef rolls and fries and my wife got a chef salad. WOWSERS those beef rolls tasted hella good!!!!! I could only eat half because they are so big! had the rest the next day and still mouth watering good! Not sure how they are made but when we went in we saw the chef making them and could smell the deliciousness. California does not have beef rolls. that is a fact. This small town in Illinois does. Places like this make me miss home

So called to order, figured I would give it a shot with the mixed reviews and all. I called and told the old hag that ordered that I hadn't ordered before so I needed a little help. She asked if I could hold on so I said of course......promptly hung up on me. This isn't charming or quaint.....this is the loss of a potential customer that will never give them a chance again. Hope your business dies with your attitude. Now lets find a good place with some sort of service. :)

ummm okay maybe I'm just not cut out for country dining. I heard that some locals liked it here so I decided to try it with the family. Something out of the 1950's. I think the burgers were actually from the 50's. The service was, well.... what service? I still do not know what a beef roll is but that's okay, I don't think I want to know. No thanks on this one.

Come on, People. These People INVENTED the beef roll! The Gyros is really decent. And the beef roll. Well, I got a chicken roll. And it was outstanding. It was like a chicken philly cheese steak, but instead of being on a sandwich, it's wrapped up in a pizza dough. The fries were crispy and the french onion soup was salty. Just like they should be. It's not supposed to be fancy, or have good service. So don't expect anything. I would go here again for sure.

Hello, this IS the home of the beef roll, how could you not respect this place? In high school, I always pondered what, exactly, a beef roll was and finally we decided to give it a try a few years ago. It's now a tradition that we get one when in Sandwich. They're pretty tasty sandwiches filled with beef (or chicken or ham or gyros), veggies and cheese in a doughy, pita-like encasement. YUM! The soup that comes with it isn't bad, and let me tell you, as leftovers, these bad boys make for some excellent drunk food! The waitress/owner(?) was pretty entertaining, and the face that the service isn't great is what makes this place charming. Like how we had to remind the lady that we wanted our soup that CAME with our meals. Priceless.

You go for the beef rolls (or a veggie roll if your me) not the service. I don't think I have see a waitress with all her teeth in a loooooong time. I am not making fun but.....I'm just saying. The garlic pizza is also a good choice the crust is crispy and there is tons of garlic yummm who wouldn't love it!!! If you are looking for nothing good for you, perfect drunk food, and crappy service then this is it! Oh and there is also gallons of cheep coffee flowing so enjoy!

I have been craving a beef roll from Brothers for a few years. No one knows what a beef roll is in Southern Illinois/ Western Kentucky. Back 10 years ago I used to work in Sandwich, Il and we would close for lunch and order Brother's beef rolls all the time. I would love to have one again, in fact, the next time I make it up North, I am heading to Brothers. Brother's isn't about the atmosphere, it's more about the great taste of thier food.

For some reason people tend to like this place and I can't seem to figure out why. A few of us came back here the other day to see if there was any change since the last time we were there several years ago. The answer was a resounding NO The food was OK as it did not seem as bad as we remembered it. The service however was just as bad (if not worse) than we remember it. I would have had an easier time extracting our waitresses molars with a pair of pliers than to get another drink. .

Never have really liked this place... Always very smoky and the service has never been outstanding. Food is just ok...nothing to write home about.

Sandwich is a happy place, with an awesome name. There are quaint little shops lining the main street. There are dudes pushing lawn mowers in the sweltering heat with mullets and wife-beater tan lines. The cigarettes are half the price of Chicago, and the liquor is a fair amount cheaper too. Chicagoans escape the city to troll around on Lake Holiday and or visit High Heels. And Sandwich, not surprising is the origin of a wonderful creation called the Beef Roll. Brother's Restaurant claimed to have invested it. Although similar to a gyro, the pita like bread pocket is thicker, and the meat tastier than you'll find at the standard road shack. The fries are the thick home style type you'd find at a greasy spoon diner. And, Brother's for all intensive purposes is a glorified diner. The price is right. Anytime you can spend $17 bucks for two people, including drinks, its cheap. The service isn't great. It's worth the occasional surliness (and forgetfulness) from our Eastern European (Serbian?) waitress. But, the Beef Roll is an extravaganza of meaty flavor, and in a place like Sandwich, the Beef Roll is enough to justify that community's name.

Musty, dirty, sad, and thoroughly unappetizing. I've sent entrees back to the kitchen before, but this was the first time I sent back the coffee.
