Overnight first time at this Hyatt Hotel. Read from yelp this restaurant sound pretty reasonable. For convenience, I went downstair for lunch. A choice of salad bar, BBQ beef brisket. Shredded pork, salmon, Marconi cheese, soup & cakes for dessert for about $20 that's acceptable to me. There's a menu for other dishes as well.

This was an awesome hotel restaurant!!! It seems like they pick a lot of fresh produce and had a seasonal menu. It's definitely a plus that makes me want to come back for a hotel stay or meetings. I got their salmon with season roasted veggies and it was a delicious dish. The salmon was cooked well and the veggies were great. I also got their smoothie which was pretty good. They had a variety of good dishes I would want to try from pan-Asian to good ol' American. All my colleagues liked their dishes as well.

Based on the other, more positive reviews here, I feel like I have to assume we just happened to visit on an atypical day. We came for the buffet lunch ($20 per person). Buffet offerings included many of the same things that were on the regular lunch menu, so we figured it was good to go ahead and have some of everything. The buffet included: -salad bar -rice pilaf -zucchini cheese bake -pan seared tuna -sauteed chicken -gravy? -some type of beef -whole wheat buns, lettuce, cheddar cheese, tomato Salad bar didn't have bacon bits, but everything else you would expect on a salad bar. Every other menu item listed above was bland. Maybe they forgot salt, and other seasonings? Maybe there was a shortage at the spice supplier. Maybe it's me and my weird taste buds. Doubt it though.

This place is actually pretty good for a hotel restaurant. The food was fine but it was the customer service that earned all these stars! From the second I walked up to the moment I left, the staff was so friendly, so welcoming, I really wondered if I was in a higher end restaurant versus the fucntional restaurant in the center of this busy convention hotel. The host was so gracious in welcoming me and even though I was a party of one, he sat me at a large circular booth so that I could spread out. He also asked if I was there for the "McDonald's meeting" (I was) and then he generously thanked me for my business. Wow! Impressive customer service. And my server and busser also went out of their way to make sure my coffee up was never empty or that I had everything I needed. In terms of food, they have a buffet but I chose to order off the menu. My breakfast came up quickly and was good. And the coffee was strong and black. And the prices are in line with a hotel restaurant. But what I will remember from this visit will be the warmth of the staff and the host who really acted like he was happy I was there. Sometimes it's the little things.

The menu is limited The service is terrible The waitress didn't explain specials or tell me there was a buffet open or anything I ordered lobster bisque and no bread or crackers - even though I don't eat them she never offered. She gave me a dirty lid for my left overs and just seemed like she rather be somewhere else.... Don't blame her but still there goes your tip

I'm staying at the Hyatt for a few days for a conference. This restaurant was offering a conference special for $16 lunch buffet for conference attendees. The restaurant is small and doesn't accommodate quite as many people as necessary when there is a big conference there. The buffet had a few hot dishes and a nice salad bar but there was really not anything outstanding on the buffet. I will say that I for $16 I got a sit down meal in a place where they could charge whatever they wanted since its basically a captive audience. It did look like some of the things off the menu that were coming out of the kitchen looked good Maybe I will try them again and rather than getting the buffet, order from the menu.
The O'Hare grill is pricey for mediocre food and the buffet line lacked order which resulted in total chaos!

This restaurant is inside of the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Very convenient if you do not want to go out of the hotel and the food is not that bad. It's just expensive. Your appetizers are going to be around $10 or more with your entrees coming in just about under $20. I got the all you can eat buffet. It had pot roast, grilled salmon, salad bar and some sort of oriental chicken tray. The taste for everything is mediocre. I mean, everything just tasted bland from the soup to the sauce in everything. I think for $22 buffet, it may have been better to get a entree for $14 or something. The decor is defintely nice and I can't say too much about the service since the buffet was self served. But given the look of the place and the price, it expected a more WOW factor. I'm not knocking the restaurant for price or service but the food definitely use an upgrade. Eat here if you don't want to get out of the hotel. Otherwise, head over to the other hotel restaurant (there's two of them in the hotel) and get something there. Now, I didn't eat at the other restaurant because it was packed. And seemed more like a bar than a restaurant. But yeah, you can also drive 5 to 10 minutes and get some better food.

Really a 3.5. We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights so I had breakfast here 5 times and lunch once. That makes me an expert - LOL. We upgraded to a package that included a buffet breakfast but had to laugh when we realized it only saved us $3 a day on the buffet (from $18 to $15). For breakfasts, the buffet included your choice of omelets made to order, healthy veggie fritatas, scrambled eggs, 2 types of sausages, bacon (not always crispy - insert sad face), pancakes, and oatmeal. They had yogurts, cereals, some fresh fruits (though not a huge variety). Loved the rye bread, topped by a hunk of cheese you carve yourself out of a huge wedge. Never-ending coffee and orange juice. Otherwise, it was a fairly bland set of offerings. If you tend to eat in volume, the breakfast items are pricy enough that it's worth it to go for the buffet. A la carte, breakfast items were in the $12-$15 range any way.

Healthy menu is a good option. Food was good, vegetables steamed and portion size reasonable. My salmon was tasty. My wife would have preferred the shrimp being less salty. Downside is slow service. Waiter did what we asked, however. I suggest ordering off of dinner menu and avoiding buffet. Would come back.

Not too bad, especially for a hotel restaurant (4stars is relative to hotels -- 3 stars otherwise I imagine). Very good coffee, good steak sandwich, good side salad. Steak was well cooked, which surprised me somewhat. Perhaps it helped that there was basically no one else there at the time, so my food got the full attention from the kitchen. Chocolate bread pudding is good, but huge. Chunk of eggshell made it in, unfortunately. And would be better with vanilla, not chocolate ice cream. The service was very good, perhaps also because I was basically the only person there. As for the atmosphere and layout, the design of the space lets it stay surprisingly quiet even when the lobby is crowded. Open yet "blocked off", private without feeling confined. Probably not good when many people are here, but good when only 3-4 tables are full.

Had lunch at this grill while staying at the Hyatt. Really enjoyed my Turkey Burger! It was loaded with flavors and the spicy mayo tops it off! Add in the sweet potato chips and pickles on the side for a very satisfying lunch. Food and Service were great. Watched the Thunder play the Bulls while I enjoyed my meal.

A few gluten free items clearly marked on menu. Chef and waiter were knowledgable and very accommodating. Steak with asparagus was flavorful and delicious! GF bread was warm, moist, and surprisingly satisfying. I would definitely come back on my next stay at Hyatt Regency.

Considering O'H American Grill is located inside the Hyatt Regency O'Hare, the hotel restaurant isn't bad. I didn't actually dine-in, but had a $50 credit to my room, which I used to get room service breakfast. The Hyatt offers a cool feature allowing you to pre-order your room service using your smart phone, which I forgot about so I didn't use. The cut-off time to order breakfast for the next day using the phone or door hanger was midnight, which I didn't make in time, so I placed an order off my room's TV. My Natural Grilled Chicken Hash & Egg Whites ($13.50), along with my OJ ($3.50), arrived exactly at the requested time of 6:30 am. Expecting the usual bad, dry and bland hotel food, I was pleasantly surprised to find that my breakfast was edible, even tasting quite good. The chicken was freshly grilled and the eggs were real eggs (none of that powdered egg crap), and the cherry tomato compote was a nice topping over my healthy breakfast. Water was also given, as well as a side of complimentary muffins and pastries, such as a mini croissant, which I devoured. If I were to stay at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare again, I definitely wouldn't mind grabbing room service from here again! The hotel makes it super easy and convenient to order without leaving your room (or if you're not in the area), and the food is tasty enough.

While staying at this hotel, I chose to eat at this restaurant. I had two meals there, breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was great. They have a good buffet that includes an omelet bar. They also have menu items you can order. I chose the steel cut oatmeal. To my surprise, it came with a wide variety of dried fruits, nuts, brown sugar, honey, cream and macerated berries. I was a bit underwhelmed by dinner. I ordered the scallops and grits, which is actually an appetizer. For $16 I got three mediocre scallops and a grit cake. It was meh. The bread service was delicious though.

We took advantage of the breakfast discount wheb we checked in. Brought the cost of the buffet dOwn to $15 which was discOunted on our room Bill. The buffet had two types off sausage and bacon. Pancakes and plenty of eggs. A nice fruit bar was full of plenty of breakfast food. The meal came with milk coffee or orange juice. Food was tasty.

My oh my... I have been too busy lately with Midterms, Birthday Party, Finals, work, Anime Central, Flying to Korea, Going to Lollapalooza... Well, I am back! Time to review an epic breakfast I had at Hyatt Regency O'Hare's American Grill. Atmosphere: Management really took the time to make this hotspot within the hotel stand out. Seats were comfortable and plush. Modern furnishings and bold art pieces gave you something to appreciate in your surrounding. Everything was kept clean, and it feels really great to be watched by people passing by wishing they the money to eat the food being served. This atmosphere would also be great for dates. It is not very noisy at all and there is enough space between tables for intimate conversations. Service: The staff was very friendly from the moment the host seated you. Every server and chef was a pleasure to have an exchange with. The omelette chef that morning was especially cheerful when he was making me my delicious omelette. It is also rare to find a staff of waiters so attentive. I could feel them reading my facial expression and body movements whenever I needed something. Glasses were always filled, and butter and other condiments were prompt to appear when requested. Food: I shed a single tear the first time I came for the breakfast buffet for the first time. Never doubt the $18+ buffet, it is worth every penny. There are breakfast items from around the world and many gluten free options. Pita Bread with Hummus, Miso Soup, and all the fresh fruits! The Omelette chef made Omelettes to your exact specification as well. Is this what it feels like to have Breakfast like a god? The ingredient choices for Omelettes were plenty. I had an amazing Omelette with mushrooms and diced tomatoes. But my favorite item was.... The Chicken sausage. Was never a fan of sausage ever until this point in my life. It is a food I can't really compare to anything else. It is Tender, Juicy, and.... Just Good! This place is a good reason itself to stay at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare lol. I never expected to wake up that day enjoying the breakfast of my life. Dinner here is about 4/5 stars for the price, but still worth enjoying at the second half of your day. Who knew breakfast could be so special? This is a place I look forward to every anime convention at the Hyatt. I would also like to give this my Stamp of Approval for places to take girls! You feel very classy eating here especially when you spy jealous eyes from afar.

Went during anime central, really bad food, not many choices, little to no service. They only staffed one guy to run half the packed place. Barely ended up with one drink, no refills happened.

I've been trapped in the O'Hare Hyatt/Stephens Convention Center for the last few days and I've had the majority of my meals at O'H American Grill. Now that I've left and returned to reality, I'm totally bummed that I don't have hash browns with my breakfast! Overall, the food was much better than I anticipated, but the prices are kind of steep, especially if you get room service.

This place is in the middle of the hotel lobby. No privacy from the rest of the hotel. It was FREEZING cold in there. I would hope they realized that it's August and the people aren't going to be coming in wearing sweaters or jackets. I wore summer clothes and was miserable.. shivering! After ordering my food, I realized I wouldn't be able to enjoy myself there with how cold it was so I asked the waiter to pack everything up to go. There went my nice dinner 'out'. Most disappointing was probably the fact that they charged $3.50 for one glass of pepsi. What? A two liter at the most expensive grocery store is under $2! All in all, I regret spending my very hard earned money on this place. I had to park far, get my parking validated (otherwise it's over $20 to park there), sit in a freezing 'area' (no walls, people in hallways see inside from all directions) and the food is way overpriced for what it is. Their club sandwich was $13, while the pasta chicken dinner was $16. I can't think of any occasion that this would be a good place to go. Also, for those looking up reviews on date locations... for the love of God, don't go there! So unromantic.

We went here for Breakfast while staying at the Hyatt in Chicago. Sunday brunch was great. They had a brunch buffet with chicken sausage, pork sausage, bacon, danishes, cereal, yogurt, home fries, scrambled eggs, an omelette bar, and fruit. All for about $22/person. Great service and food was very fresh. Coffee is also excellent. Definately reccomend.

For being confined in a hotel, this isn't bad. Being part of the convention, the dinner buffet was 20% off. The prime rib was tender. There was only one vegetable, but the zucchini was really well seasoned. Places can make it so bland. I don't think any dressings are homemade. It's pretty standard. The service is good, and if your server isn't around, there are plenty of other staff around willing to help, including the manager. I love the layout of the place, it's very out in the open, almost circular shaped. The outer part is the bar, and to the left is the entrance. The mood is very different on each side, with the buffet in the center. The left is kind of cramped. The right is very cozy with mood lighting all around. There are gaps where you can see the people walking on the outer side of it. Trust me it's really cool. I went for breakfast the next day and passed on the predictable buffet and ordered eggs benedict, which was very good. The second night I knew to order off the menu. I got the parpadelle , ribbon type pasta with tomato sauce and shrimp. I substituted mushrooms for arugula. Home run on this dish and the shrimp were sizable and cooked perfectly.

They've totally revamped this Hyatt, and it looks pretty amazing! This review is for the restaurant inside. I like the way that the restaurant feels so open. It almost has a loft like feel. I had breakfast here, and it was very impressive. I had the Two Eggs Any Style that came with a choice of bacon or sausage and roasted potatoes, and your choice of pastry or toast. I had my eggs over medium, bacon, the potatoes, and toast. They did a great job cooking the bacon. It wasn't undercooked or overcooked. It was all delicious. The coffee was rich and tasty. The juices seemed to be fresh, and we also had a complimentary shot of their strawberry smoothie. They also offer two types of breakfast buffets here. One that includes something made to order where a chef can personalize your omelet and has the widest variety at a cost of $17, The other buffet includes pastries, yogurts, cold cereals, etc for $12.50. Our waitress, Eileen was very on top of her game. As great as everything was, I thought the place to be quite pricey for Rosemont. I could sort of understand if this was the Hyatt downtown, but even still that's not totally justifiable. My meal cost $11.50 and I know I can get a pretty good breakfast like that in the city for around $8 or so.

O'H American Grill is located in the Hyatt Regency O'Hare hotel. We eat at this restaurant for dinner every year when we go to the Fest for Beatles Fans and this most recent time was the best ever. They have great staff retention and we recognize the servers from year to year. They had a buffet that offered lamb, chicken and white fish, soup, a salad bar and dessert bar. My husband and father went back to the buffet several times and cleaned their plates. I believe the buffet was $22 per person. The only complaint was that the food wasn't labeled so they weren't always sure what they were eating. They bring bread to your table- Italian and wheat and refill your water glasses very attentively. I ordered off the dinner menu. I had the maple glazed pork tenderloin with potato dumplings and peas- WOW- it was absolutely delicious! The meat was cooked perfectly, it tasted amazing and it was presented beautifully on the plate. I am already making plans to return. I think that my meal cost $15. We were impressed with the attentiveness and friendliness of the staff which was better this time than in previous visits. In the past when the restaurant was very busy it felt like we had to wait a long time to be served or for our check. For this current experience I give this restaurant 5 stars!

I had a lovely dinner here a few months ago when I was staying at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare. This restaurant is located in the lobby area of the Hyatt and conveys the feeling of space and sophistication. We came here because we were at a convention at the hotel and it was convenient, so I was very surprised to discover that not only was the food excellent but reasonably priced to boot! I ordered the smoked chicken pasta with bacon and mushrooms for $16.00. It had a creamy sauce that was quite lovely! The chicken was tender and juicy, the pasta cooked perfectly, and the sauce was sheer perfection. There was plenty of food to fill me up! I'm not in Chicago often, but I'll definitely be back for another meal the next time I'm here!

I have had lunch here a few times when attending conferences at the convention center. The food is pretty tasty for a hotel restaurant, and the portions huge. The service is strange -- from intrustive and overbearing (the manager-type guy) to hands off and aloof (my waitress basically ignored my food needs [and didn't ever bring me a bread plate/basket], but once I had the check in hand, she wanted to chat a lot about books). I keep coming back, though, because I can sit with a book for almost 2 hours and not be pressured to keep ordering things.

I am writing as a fan and frequent attendee of the O'h American Grill at the Hyatt Regency O'hare. I visit the Hyatt O'hare every August for nearly a week for the annual "Beatlefest" convention plus a few other times during the year. The grill was remodeled a few years ago and while I prefer the previous layout much better, the food is top notch. The breakfast buffet on weekends is expensive (around $18.00) but worth every penny. Hard to beat this breakfast buffet anywhere else in the Rosemont area. I also like the dinner buffet (around $30.00) for a big variety of seafood, steak and chicken. Ordering off the menu is great as they are known for the pork tenderloin medallions which are divine. The waitstaff also is largely very friendly. The turn-over of staff is not great so year after year the staff remembers us and treats us well. The hotel gets crazy the weekend of Beatlefest in August and the O'h American Grill handles the crowds and continues to create top notch food offerings any time of day! Even if you do not stay overnight at the Hyatt O'hare, check out the O'h American Grill when you can!

My husband travels for business and usually ends up looking to me for where he should eat. I always come to Yelp and look at the reviews close to his hotel (I love that move-able map). Tonight he called late and he was starving! This was across the street from his hotel. When I checked out the menu and saw whole wheat pasta and some good fish options, I thought it would be perfect for my health conscious husband. He showed up and they were closed. Apparently if Hyatt isn't at full capacity they don't open the restaurant. So call before you go to make sure they feel like opening that day.

stopped in here just the other day for a light lunch in between conference sessions at the stephens center. its a quick walk over through covered walkways (which was nice cuz of the rain). service was prompt, courteous and extremely professional. The food was quite good. They served delicious fresh baked bread before the meal; when i commented how good it was the waiter brought out an additional 5 slices to go with my soup. The presentation was quite nice and ingredients were fresh. the only downside that i can think of is cost. the food was a bit pricey, but cost-wise it was about what i would expect from a hotel. however, it was in keeping with the quality of the food.

I've been to several hotels ranging from 5 star to 2 stars. I also happen to be a nerd who enjoys comic book conventions and cosplaying. (Cosplaying if you don't know is dressing up in costume as a character, its a big part of the convention tradition, they even have costume contests) As it happend my character had black puffy hair and face paint as well as a torn up shirt. I have short cropped red hair so i had on a wig, face paint and a torn up shirt. I was also probably a little disheveled as I had been running around a con all day. The first person to greet us was super friendly, even complementary (he said my costume made a beautiful picture!) After we were seated our waiter was very insistent about the buffet being a great deal. None of us got the buffet and he seemed irked by this. He also seemed irritated that I knew what i wanted and didn't want any recommendations. After that the service was very slow. I felt like I was being judged on my appearance and/or choice of entreatment. The food wasn't worth that much wait. It was dencet food but I've had better, faster and at a lower price. The water boy, however, was amazingly fast.

Ordered the grilled salmon with veggies. Very healthy and very good. I like the menu here as it has a wide enough variety and their preparation and presentation is excellent.

Surprisingly good for a place that looks like the tomorrow-land restaurant at Disneyland. The A/C was uncomfortably cold though

Had a business lunch here. Had Lobster Bisque and a Cobb Salad. Food and service were excellent. Saved a trip away from the hotel.

This is one of the best hotel restaurants out there. I always get a nice steak and they pick good cuts of meat. One downfall is they are often closed.

Not bad for a Hotel Eatery.
