Great steak and convenient location (close to the airport).

We go to Morton's because of the 7 star service with 5 star food..The wife and i spent almost 400 bucks on dinner last night and could not have been happier with my steak, seafoods, sides, drinks and 3 deserts (2 to go :) Thru the years Patrick the GM has always been amazing..If i have one complaint it is that Landry's has redecorated to a more modern feel..I get it. I just loved the old school feel and the pig on the table. To the staff at this Morton's keep up the amazing job and see you next month for our birthdays.

Sautéed Brussels sprouts were still raw...just barely flash sautéed...they had a nice smoke flavor but way too bitter b/c they were so undercooked. A surprisingly nice portion of scallops accompanied the 6oz. filet mignon which was well prepared, but not the nicest cut of beef. The bottom mushrooms rocked and I really enjoyed the Cab Franc by the glass. Was very disappointed when the waiter dropped a dirty fork on my white shirt and he didn't even apologize or acknowledge the stain that resulted.

The valet was the best part of the experience. Very personable and introduced himself by name and made great eye contact. After that it was very "meh". We had a gift card and decided to make a night of it and try Morton's since it was the only restaurant in Chicago that would work with the card. We both ordered mixed grills and overall the execution and service were OK. One item on both of our grills was supposed to be grilled jumbo shrimp. While they may technically have been classified as Jumbo there were not overly generous. Additionally, were not grilled but boiled. Next they were overcooked. Finally, when we asked Morton's confirmed they were frozen and not fresh. Not what we expect when we are spending $250 for 2 on dinner. The atmosphere for a Friday night at 8p was sad. Only about 8 tables total while we were there. I guess if you were stuck out by O'Hare on an expense account it might be an option but otherwise I would not consider going again.

First of all, we sat in the bar area and our server/bartender was fantastic. That's the two stars I'm giving. Including tip our meal was over $200 with drinks. We were underwhelmed by the food. The tuna appetizer was decent to start, nothing out of the ordinary, but decent and what you get at 100 other restaurants that refuse to think up new appetizers as the tuna tower/martini/whatever. Next the Cesar salad was decent, but nothing better than average. We had the bone in ribeye, and it honestly tasted like a store bought piece of meat and not aged at all. I'm assuming that the uneven cooking of the steak was due to the cut being a little thicker on one side, so the steak was delivered half cooked to temperature and half cooked too much. I'm sorry, but if I'm dropping steak house prices on a steak I expect the steak to be better than I can make at home. It costs $15 for a side of broccoli here which we didn't try. We did try the scalloped potatoes, which I used as a dipping sauce for my not so good steak. That was yummy, but again nothing extraordinary. For a $200+ meal for two people I think I should be wowed a bit. Maybe I'm spoiled living in the city where competition for better food holds our eateries to a higher standard, but I feel this money was wasted here. We were wowed by another steak house the last time we ate in the area a few months ago. We were not satisfied with this meal. Quality was too poor for the price paid.

Came here a little late on a Friday night and to my surprise it was pretty dead. There was no one really upstairs so we went downstairs hoping it would be more lively. We were wrong. The design is pretty nice dim like someone's basement, but with a nice bar with tvs. The bread they started us off with was a round roll, was a little dissapointing. I got the cajun ribeye, the top was a little burnt, but it was cooked perfectly medium rare! It was just a little salty that may be due to the cajun seasoning. My guest got the bone in ribeye, which was great, you can never go wrong with the bone in Ribeye they are always good. Creamed spinach was really good too. Overall the experience was a little lackluster. But simply on the food it's solid. There's better options if you want to have a great steak and lively atmosphere.

Morton is simply one of the best steak houses in the country. Their Rosemont IL location does an excellent job in exceeding expectations. The onion loaf has to be the BEST bread served at a premier steak house. I don't believe I've had better tasting bread before a meal. I've enjoyed the steak at this location in the past, but today I ordered the fresh salmon from the "Mixed Grill" selection. Absolutely amazing! It came with lumps of crab cake and shrimp. Crab meat covered the top of the salmon as well. It was an entree which didn't require any sides...plenty of food on this plate. Felipe (the server) ensured we had everything we (my boss and I) needed during the entire dinner. I passed on dessert this time, but will certainly indulge next time I visit Morton's of Rosemont IL.

This place is so pricey but so darn good - worth every penny. I happen to love the atmosphere, the service was great and the food was out of this world. From the wine, to the appetizers to the main course - impeccable. The bar looks super fun and would be a great place to come and relax at the end of a long day.

Let me start off by saying, I WILL BE BACK Took my husband here for his 40th bday. Our server was Omar (if he is your server, lucky you!) He wasn't overbearing but yet, not neglectful. PERFECT balance. Husband got the 1/2 dz oysters and I got the broiled sea scallops wrapped in bacon (as, Im not an oysters fan). HOLY MOLY. Sea scallops had this marmalade+horseradish sauce that may have came from the heavens above (along w the scallops) For our main dish, he got the 24 oz porterhouse med-well and I got the lobster tail. He loved his steak. Said it was so tender, he almost didnt need his knife. My lobster tail was on point. The mgr walks around and is genuinely caring. I commended Omar to him and mentioned that the things that make a restaurant great is a perfect balance of good food AND god service. You definitely get your money's worth here. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this restaurant. Thank you for a great night!!!

Lonely night and very hungry so i treated myself to this place. I am so use to eating alone that coming here was ok. I sat at the bar with a very friendly bartender. I had a nice and tasty margarita. To be honest i came here because i was super depressed over a break up and wanted to get out of my house! I thought coming here and grabbing a great meat at around 9PM was just what i needed. I had a salad that was to die for! It came with; well i custom made my own salad (because i am a bad ass like that) with extra eggs, bacon, tomato's, cucumber and cheese. i mean it was absolutely yummy. I was very well aware how big the side dishes were but because i am greedy i ordered mac and cheese and scalloped potato's: THERE IS MORE i also had the sea bass! I almost put myself in a food coma sitting there and just eating my feelings! Luckily i have a metabolism that's insanely high!! All in all Morton's has never failed me when it came to their food or their service.

I didn't expect Morton's in Rosemont was loud like downtown Chicago. The staff was friendly, but not as estoot as other Morton locations. Free valet parking if you want is a plus. Can dine downstairs where most people seat or I guess upstairs. Being never there we sat downstairs. The service wasn't as good as there other locations ,but the food made up for it. We went during restaurant week & couldn't been more happier that we did since our wastelines have been growing over the years. We had the 6 oz fillets each with a stack of vegatables. Appetizers were great I had sushi roll and the keylime desert was a perfect to end the meal. You need to pass on the capacinno ,it was pretty bad too watery I ordered a tripple shot that I returned. I like the Northbrook location for a more subdue atmoshere & better service. The homemade bread when you sit down is awesome ! I dare you to try & only take one piece LOL. Getting to Rosemont from the 294 thank G-d we have a GPS if not you would of gotten lost a few times. Alot of twists & turns in order to get there you almost think that you are at great america You would think with Rivers Casino in the immediate area that a better short cut would of been planned out ahead of time, but then again we are the only city that the train from downtown to the airport that had to corrected since it ended up originally to a dead end !

NEW YEARS PAST One year we bypassed the crazy parties with the all you can drink train wrecks and came here for a nice quite steak dinner. Morton's is completely classy. It is an old school steak house that just knows how to deliver a good steak with classic side dishes. The steak is just fantastic. I always get a medium rare filet at Morton's and it is always perfect. Never once have I been letdown by one of the chef's at any Morton's locations. We wanted to feel like we were on vacation so we stayed at one of the hotels across the parking lot. We walked across that cold parking lot to Morton's. The security guard in the office building was nice enough to open the door for us so we did not have to walk all around the building. He was really nice and ready for a big New Years Night of watching movies. If this was a Bruce Willis movie then there would be trouble brewing. Luckily it was a safe evening for everyone. We started out with Shrimp Alexander which is just out of this world and the Lump Crab Cake with its giant pieces of real crab. If we were smart we would just stop there but we had to keep going. Next we enjoyed the most amazing Wedge Salad with tomatoes, bacon and blue cheese dressing. Bacon really makes everything better. The iceberg lettuce was crispy and perfectly chilled. Then it was time for the main course of meat with sides of Asparagus and Potato Lyonais. This place is a food mecca and everything is just cooked to perfection. I can't forget the fresh baked onion bread loaf. Honestly I could just eat one of those and be happy for the rest of the day. So of course we always get two. Hey 3 people fighting over hot bread is never a pretty sight. So we have to bring in that backup loaf or maybe two. Finally don't forget the deserts. We always get a key lime pie and chocolate molten cake. Both are really good but were thinking of getting two key lime slices next time. It is the best key lime pie outside of Florida. The molten cake in all its richness kind of gets ignored by our forks. Morton's is just classic because they serve traditional food you would expect from a steak house. From the drinks to the service to the food you can never go wrong with Morton's to ring in the new year.

One of my favorite steakhouses. Morton's has locations in Schaumburg & Naperville that I have also ate at & none of them have disappointed me. The service here is second to none. From the minute you pull up they offer complimentary valet & when you walk in the doors they ask you if they can take your coat to check it for you. For appetizers we all started off with a Caesar Salad & some drinks. They also had some awesome bread & butter on the table. The salad was good & not too filling. A big plus here was they spaced out the times between the appetizers & the main course. For the main course we all had a 6 oz. Filet Mignon with shrimp. The steak was one of the best that I have had in years. The shrimp which is a favorite dish of mine was cooked & seasoned to perfection. There was not one bite left on our plates. Lastly for dessert they brought out a hot lava cake, which was a chocolate cake with hot fudge in the middle & a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side. This was one of the best desserts I can remember having in a very long time. Overall the restaurant was clean, the service was good & the food was excellent. These are the things that makes Morton's one of the best steak houses in the Chicago land area.

Food was what you'd expect: tender moist 8-oz filler and a very nice chopped spinach salad. Brussels were overly salty. The service: zero and below. Felt like I was dining in a bar--till the $82 bill came--no alcohol, no dessert. Super sloppy, inconsistent, no class. Ugh. Totally need training, customer service awareness, efficiency. Won't be back. The place to go in this area is Capitol Grille: they get if in food quality and service.

Absolutely phe-nom-en-al! Without embellishment, Morton's is one of the finest restaurants in Rosemont. When you consider how many great places to eat there are in the area, that's quite the distinction... Between the excellent staff, luxurious decor, the extensive drink menu, the convenient location, and the 5 star menu - Morton's is the gem of the area. Their steaks, poultry, seafood, cocktails, and especially their desserts were all wonderful. Morton's is now my favorite place to go to decompress, while attending a convention in the Rosemont area.

I come here often with my boyfriend, who is a steak lover, on the other hand I love seafood... and even though this is a "steakhouse", this is the perfect place for both of us! We usually start with an appetizer like tuna Tartare or crab cake and we never been disappointed. My boyfriend normally orders Ribeye and I order Chilean Sea bass, food here is just amazing! Food is cook to perfection, and service is so personalized that you feel welcome and like you are among good friends. The Manager and assistant manager Pat and Dan are very caring and pleasant. We come and will keep coming often to Mortons!

While I am not a true steak fan, I am a fan of Morton's. I think we have mostly gone to the downtown location and used to take advantage of the happy hour specials at the bar when working later. This location is tucked-back in an office building, and the main dining area is in the basement. We sat in the upstairs bar area this time and had excellent service. I went with the spinach salad and got the scallops appetizer as my main course. Husband had the iceberg wedge with blue cheese and a filet and baked potato. The salads are HUGE - I seriously could not believe how much was on my plate. And, I was glad I only had to make it through 3 scallops because I would have been too full with a regular main course. The dressing is really good and the spinach is finely chopped, so it is easy to eat. Scallops were cooked perfectly, as was the bacon wrapped around them, and no sand at all to ruin the scallops. All this, plus drinks, was about $175 with tip. We also laughed about how we were basically in and out in 40 minutes without feeling rushed - the service was that good. When I think about the disappointing meal for the same price at Perry's, it makes me think we will come here more often!

Going to Morton's is always a treat. It was my first real Chicago Steakhouse and therefore, will always have a special place in my heart. Upon my visit last night, I was surprised that they had changed the menu a bit. There were new additions to the menu, and then a few things that were missing. When I go to Morton's I always like to order the boneless filet, Oscar style. However, that was missing from the menu. Now, it was replaced with a bone-in filet, crusted with porcine mushrooms. There was also a surf/turf option with a 6oz fillet, 3 grilled shrimp and 2 bacon wrapped scallops. Since I really wanted a filet and I wanted it with my surf, this was the option I went with. I don't eat pork, so they were more than happy to make the scallops without the bacon. I however, opted for a total replacement and asked for more shrimp instead. They were more than happy to accommodate my request and even placed an extra shrimp on my plate :). I also decided to order a size of the grilled mushroom medley. It was amazing! You could clearly and distinctly taste the wide variety of different mushrooms in the medley, experience their different textures without being overpowered by garlic and butter. It was a great compliment to my entree. Also, our server was attentive and checked on us frequently. It's the kind of service you come to expect when you go to Morton's and they certainly delivered last night. I give Morton's a 4 star review, because now that I have become a steak connoisseur of sorts, there are steakhouses in Chicago that I prefer over Morton's because of the variety and combinations they offer. But it is not my intention to take anything away from Morton's because they still do a classic steak justice and it's always service with a smile.

Brutal. Shrimp cocktail tasted like frozen shrimp out of the bag, the bone in rib eye had zero flavor and was not a very good cut. Girlfriend had the mixed grill and the scallop was as chewy as a car tire. The only good thing was the salad. Also, we had two waitresses. Even they didn't know who was supposed to be serving us so long waits and bad service. Basically if you want a steak that tastes like you're at a bad wedding this is the place

Great food! Fresher and tastier oysters than at Hogg Island oyster bar in the San Francisco Ferry Bldg. Very tasty beef also.

Sadly I celebrated my 40 BD at this establishment ! Service was terrible ! After being neglected by the waitress to a point were I walked to the bar and asked the bartender to get me and my wife a drink I had a chance to speak with the manager! He was very involved with the table next to us but did almost nothing when we voiced our concerns ! Just to let you know it is my first post on this site and I would not take even one minute to express my concerns if it would not be important ! If you want the attention of the 4 stars restaurant avoid this place by all means !!!! 773 870 1860

Annual TriNet Holiday Party! Chicago's home grown Steak House! I've never had a bad meal here. The steaks are always perfect, sides huge, service excellent. Atmosphere is great, decor is clubby. Tuna, filet and bruschetta appetizers excellent. Filet cooked medium perfect. Asparagus, hash browns and mushrooms all perfect. Ordered the Flowers Pinot Noir excellent. Guranteed meal for business and pleasure

It was good, but I probably wouldn't come back. I arrived at 8:45, right before happy hour, so I had a drink and waited. I ordered the wedge salad and fillet trio. The salad was good, but anything would be good with blue cheese and bacon. I thought it was overpriced for what I got. The trio was excellent. Perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the different sauces were delicious. Portion was small, so I had another. Service was great when someone came around, but my glasses were empty often and for quite awhile. I usually am not very high maintenance, but when I'm paying the prices here, even on the happy hour menu, I expect it to be better. Overpriced and overrated.

I've been to Morton's a few times and I figured after my great dinner last night, it was worth a review. My husband and I were driving around Rosemont looking for a steakhouse with no wait. We weren't about to pay $20 to park and eat at Capital Grille and Gibson's was a 40 minute wait, plus we'd have to pay for parking as well. I called up Morton's and the person said they can get us in right away, and there was no pay-parking Nice! We ordered the bacon wrapped scallops for an appetizer (you get three) which were fairly large and plump, and delicious. I ordered the 12 oz center-cut prime ribeye (which I think was $46 - the prices aren't listed online). The waiter suggested the cajun style, in which the steak is marinated for 48 hours. I agreed. It was cooked a perfect medium (slightly rare) and it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Incredibly juicy and flavorful and the cajun isn't at all overpowering - beats eating a filet mignon any day. My husband had the filet, which was very good. But I think if you've had a good steakhouse filet, you've had them all.. nothing really stood out about it to me. Try the ribeye if you want good steak with a different flavor. The sides are $11 and are big enough to share. We ordered the parmesan truffle fries which were great. They are thin like shoestring fries and were pretty crispy.. I wish they were less crispy, but I still enjoyed them. We also had Bacon Mac & Cheese which was delish and garlic mash (I don't think it was on the menu, but we asked if they have it), which is pretty standard. Good, but nothing special. For dessert, we tried the chocolate mousse, which was AMAZING. So velvety, rich and light and melts in your mouth - not like the crappy pudding consistency many restaurants serve. We also had a chocolate cake, which was equally as good. A couple cups of coffee and $300 later, we had a really enjoyable dinner. Everyone working had a smile on their face.. it was absolutely crazy how nice everyone was. I don't think I've ever been to a restaurant with such good service - which is exactly what you'd want when you're paying the price. The manager/owner came by and asked how everything was, and he went around greeting tables. The noise level was a bit high, but it's expected with dinner time. Will definitely return!!!

It was January 2, 2012. Yes, the day after New Year's. No wonder the place was close to barren. Then again, this is the Rosemont location. Who in their right mind would drive out here when the city also has its good share of the fine dining? ME! (I had a reasonable excuse.) But enough with the rant, and let's skip to the pros. Morton's Rosemont location has a private parking lot, coat check, and excellent service and food. They allow you to dine in the bar area or dining hall. We chose the bar area but we were still allowed to order from the regular menu. My friend had the Chicago style bone-in ribeye steak and it was humongous. As the name states, the giant slab of meat is served with bone. If you don't mind the slight mess, you should definitely choose the bone over the boneless. The meat was especially tender and juicy with just the right amount of fat. I had the filet mignon, single cut and it was by far the best steak that I've ever had. Both of us like our steak medium rare and Morton's got it done perfectly: brown on the outside, pink on the inner rim, and red in the middle. Alleluia! If you don't like steak, you have my sympathy. The meal was on the pricier end of the spectrum, but I would be more than willing to return even if I have to empty my pockets. It was an awesome way to start of the year of 2012!

Hands down this was THE BEST dining experiences I've had in my life! Yes folks I said LIFE! From beginning to end the execution was flawless! We've been to Morton's Steakhouse several times in the past, but in other states. Even though this was our first time dining at this location we already knew what to expect from a food standpoint. The steaks were succulent, the seafood was fresh, and the veggies were perfectly sauteed. What we didn't expect was such a personable dining experience that made us feel like we were the only couple in the restaurant. The manager Patrick and our waitress Athena were two of the most pleasant people you will ever meet. Every time I thanked Patrick he'd respond with, "You're in my house"! By the end of the night I knew full well what he meant by that statement. In HIS HOUSE everyone is family and we sure felt the love. Thanks to Patrick and Athena, our visit to Chicago was definitely a memorable one!

Was there two nights in a row during a convention. While undergoing a renovation, the staff and managers are what makes this a great place. The food is what you would expect of any Morton's; great steak, good wine but the attentiveness if the staff makes it an great dining experience. If you find yourself in need of a great meal and wonderful staff, this gem is for you!

Miserable experience. Not worthy of one star for the steep price. (Half-star well reserved for the bread) Received two over-cooked bone-in Rib-Eye steaks ordered medium-rare (one of which I sent back). The first steak was well-done and looked like it had been gnawed on. The second steak was slightly beyond medium. I never had an opportunity to sample the side dishes. By the time the "do-over" steak reached the table my friends were nearly finished eating. The shared sides (spinach/mushrooms and truffle fries) had been mostly devoured and the remaining leftovers were cold and unappetizing The service was just as lousy. The waiter forgot my drink order. (Here's a novel idea...trying writing it down.) The waiter politely asked me to repeat my order upon serving my companions. I declined the offer but one of my friends spoke up and reminded him what I had ordered. He preceded to bring the glass of wine even though I nixed the order. And yes, I was charged for the glass of wine I would happily excuse crappy service for a re-fill on my water glass. I only received one glass of water after several attempts at ordering. It didn't help that there was a celebrity (Rat Packer) seated at the next table receiving presidential treatment. I was clearly obvious that the wait staff favored the other table and discarded my entire dining experience. Don't bother with this place. You'll get a better steak (and service) at Outback...and save a small fortune. - Chad Cockcroft

Strange thing happened tonight... We had reservations for Gibson's in Rosemont which I've previously reviewed as the absolute best steak house on the planet. I had some people I wanted to take there and share the phenomenal experience with. American Cab car #071 picked us up to take us there but dropped us off at Morton's in Rosemont instead. We didn't realize the mistake until after getting out, looking around, then asking someone "Where is Gibson's"? Reply: "Dude, you're not even close". So, we went into Morton's. I've heard good things, I've just been telling everyone about Gibson's for a while now and wanted to show them just how good it is. It was raining pretty heavy and we weren't dressed appropriately so we were pretty cold inside the restaurant. Not their fault! We sat in the bar area as it was on the main floor and wasn't busy. Our waitress, "Laura" was fantastic... "Shout Out"!!!! She rocked. The food was fantastic also. I ordered the Cajun Ribeye and it was awesome. Full of flavor and cooked to a perfect medium rare. The sides were hash browns (incredible), creamed corn (very good) and onion rings (skip them). Service was top notch but it wasn't busy. In fact, it was slow. The food was really good. Almost great. The bathrooms were very clean. This is a fantastic restaurant and I promise to return soon. I think when I'm in Chicago for business I'll just go back and forth between Morton's and Gibson's. Both offer some of the best steaks I've ever had anywhere in the world.

nothing like the cajun ribeye at Mortons. Was a bit dusty due to re-model and the dining was all in the basement......but once you got over that, the food was it's normal good stuff.

Well the Mac and cheese is back.....THANK GOD! This next observation may be wrong but who knows...... The last time we came , I noticed my bone in ribeye seemed smaller then what I remember it. Can't say 100% but I def finished it a lot easier then before. Not sure if the portion size has become thinner but I will be back to investigate more... And by investigate I mean eat myself silly. If any others can confirm or deny what I noticed it would be great.... May be I just got a small one of the batch but it wasn't as thick as the 5-10 steaks I've gotten in the past.

In one word - Excellent! I was here for a work dinner with a colleague on a Tuesday night. We were tired and just wanted a good meal. He suggested Morton's and I was a bit excited since I had heard good things. Those things were right! While I didn't try too much of the menu (we were being good) what I did have was amazing. I had the most perfectly cooked 6oz filet with the most decadent black truffle butter on top. Seriously, the fact that they let you do this is enough for me to be Morton's regular. Me + Truffle = true love. For sides we shared the lyonnaise potatoes and grilled asparagus. Both were cooked to perfection! Dinner was served quickly and hot, and our serving staff were just delightful. Since that meal I have wondered why I have not visited Morton's before. It was easily one of the best steakhouse meals I've had, and I've eaten at some great places. I look forward to visiting the Boston location!

Well where to begin? My family and I were there this past Saturday for our yearly Siblings' dinner. Our reservation was for 7:15pm. First the hostess seated 5 of us at a table where 4 people could squeeze in. We were later transferred to a bigger table. Our appetizers came after half an hour. We placed both the appetizer and the main entree at the same time. I took over an hour and half after getting our appetizers to get our entrees!! This means we were eating past 9pm! Some of our food was cold and the steaks were over cooked. There was no apology from management for the delay and a slight one from the waitress that the kitchen was very busy. I don't mind paying over $550 for a meal for 5 if it is worth it. Save your time and money!! Gibson's is just a block away and much better service and food. With all the new awesome restaurants seriously save yourself the headache!!

Kind of a bad location and you gotta go downstairs into the basement of an office building to get there. Service was great, except for the part where they tried to get my wife and I to sign up for some membership. I thought that was incredibly tacky and not something I expected from a classy restaurant. I expect those things from Wildfire, NOT from MORTON'S! I cannot complement our server enough, some of the finest service I have ever experienced. The steak was pretty good too. It was cooked exactly the way I wanted it and it was tasty. in the top ten of steakhouses, but not in the top 5.

The bar bites are the way to eat on the cheap ($20 total vs $100 at the main restaurant). Their happy hour is open to close, and they will make the salmon pizza is they have the ingredients. By far the best Morton's in the country!

Excellent dinner....the steak was a perfect Pittsburgh burn. Cigars , available at bar, were ready for smoking on patio with heaters. Ok wine list but light on Bordeaux and Tuscans.

We made reservations well in advance for a romantic evening, which was the price my husband was willing to pay after we spent the day attending the International Motorcycle Show at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center. (As if he wasn't going to benefit from the fine dining - ha!) We walked in and the hostess asked if she could take our coats. I hesitated to answer and she tells me I should show off my lovely dress as I walk through the dining room. (There are lots of steps down from the street entrance to the restaurant' hostess stand so she had plenty of time to see if I was going to trip on those steps in my high heels.) I handed her my coat as she asked if we had reservations. She asked us if we preferred a booth or table so I asked which is nicer. She said the tables were best for business dinners and the booths were better if you really liked your dining companion. I chose the booth. Patrick, the maitre d' introduced himself to us and lead us to our table. The booths were half-round, large, warm and friendly seats. They were a warm buttery yellow with white linen tablecloths; the nice, thick, heavy ones. They felt heavenly to the touch. I see now while you have to really like each other, as you were sitting nestled side-by-side. It was very nice. We had a great view of the entire dining room. It was small with tables strategically placed to fill up the whole space. It was a bustling room where every table was occupied. Patrick offered us a wine list and I told him I couldn't wait to peruse it after my recent experience on a wine-tasting tour of Sonoma Valley. We conversed about where we went and what we liked. Patrick told us he goes to Napa Valley every year and offered suggestions for our next trip. I felt like we were old friends by the time he offered us wine suggestions based on what we told him about our trip. We ordered the wine, ate the fresh-baked onion encrusted bread left on our table while we read the menus. The waiter gave us the steak and seafood tour and offered suggestions. Since we were new to Morton's he explained the serving sizes and the various specialties. We asked about the $99 special which is not on the menu and they will not offer it to you. You have to find it online and tell them you want to order it. So we started with the wedge salads. The dressings were wonderful, I had the ranch and my husband had the viniagrette. The salads were topped with chopped bacon and fresh tomatoes. They were simple but elegant. After the salads, I had the 5-spice baked onion soup, garlic green beans, and the single cut filet mignon. I always order my steaks medium-rare so they are still full of the good nutrients. That way they are nice and red in the center but warmer than the rare steaks. The steak was perfect. It melted in my mouth and when I followed it with the suggested red wine, it was the most perfect taste ever. The green beans were fresh and perfectly cooked, not to crunchy and not too soggy. It was all so good. My husband had the tuna cooked sushi-style. It was encrusted with sesame seeds and complimented with a ginger sauce and wasabi. He skipped the wasabi but enjoyed the ginger sauce. The $99 deal included two cuts of meat so he also got the Chicken Christopher. (I substituted the onion soup for my second cut of meat.) He took one bite and it was seasoned to perfection. But considering he had the delicious tuna steak, he opted to take the chicken home. Dessert was included with our dinner so I took half of my steak home as well. I ordered the chocolate molten cake and my husband ordered the creme brulee. We had to place the order way in advance to cook the cake in time for dessert - timing is everything with these. The desserts were presented with perfect raspberries on the plates. The chocolate cake had a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side. This turned out to be a great compliment to the dripping, gooey, warm chocolate. It was fabulous. We both love creme brulee and it was hard to decide which dessert to eat first. We shared them both finishing the creme brulee first. I think the heaviness of the chocolate made it a bit much after such a wonderful dinner. During the course of the entire meal, the maitre d' stopped by a few times to chat. He told us to take our time, not to rush. We did just that and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. We loved every minute of our visit here and will come back again. We took home enough food to enjoy a nice lunch the next day.

Here's my short & sweet review: =) I've been here a few times for their bar menu & it's always a great experience! The staff is always super friendly & the food is great! My only disappointment the last time was that they took the smoked salmon pizza off their menu. =( The bartender explained that it simply wasn't selling well but it was still a bummer for me. I'll continue to go back though b/c the bar menu prices are great & I alway have a fun time hanging out here with friends!

I make better steaks at home on my grill. Couldn't get reservation at Gibson's. Should have gone to McDonald's. Would have been more satisfying. Had 16oz NY strip medium. Thinnest steak you can imagine. Tasteless and chewy. Even the au poivre sauce was bland. Sides were just ok. Service was average. Don't waste your money. Go to outback. Cheaper and probably better steaks.

This was the WORST dining experience, Very poor service, blatant disrespect and prejudice....We waited 30 minutes for our food, meanwhile a caucasian couple that can in 15 after we did received their meal. The dinner finally arrived at it was COLD.

I've practically grown up in Morton's Steakhouse..my family goes there for every birthday and special occasion we celebrate. We've been to many different ones, even ones that are now closed. This Morton's is by far our favorite. The staff is so nice and friendly and their host Patrick is the best host we've ever had! We've been to Morton's a million times and no one had ever told us about a VIP card that we should've had for yearrrss..but Patrick told us about it and signed us up. love it! The main bartender downstairs is awesome as well (long brown hair)....Try Patrick's Special Bloody Mary. SO GOOD! MUST TRY RESTAURANT.

When the lovely jetsetter Baba Wu tells you that he's flying into O'hare for a few hours (from Beijing!) and wants to have dinner, you get the man a steak (the only time I've ever heard him utter the word "hate" was around chicken). Morton's is conveniently located close by in Rosemont. Perfect! The service is impeccable. Everyone was professional and friendly, especially the man who made getting into a big booth so easy by turning the table around for us. Our server made sure to get us out of there on time, to make it back to the airport for a departing flight. The drinks are delicious, but strong. The "Cool as a Cucumber" (vodka, muddled cucumbers, St. Germain, lime, soda) was intriguing. Our server brought out all the steaks and seafood to show us. The lobster was a little creepy....lying on a plate all dead-like, until the server picked him up and it started to flap all of its little legs/flappers. I prefer to look at lobsters on a plate, split with a little pot of melted butter while wearing a festive plastic bib. The shrimp cocktail appetizer is top-notch. 4 of the biggest shrimp I have seen in my entire life, chilled perfectly to be my vehicles for cocktail sauce. We were told that the bone-in filet mignon was a special steak that they had in the restaurant that week, and 2 were ordered, medium rare, with a side of grilled asparagus with balsamic reduction. Delicious. No steak or asparagus remained. Morton is obviously not a budget meal, but perfect for a special occasion. They were also running at $50 3-course steak and seafood special when we were in there - salad, steak, seafood, side, dessert included. Their chocolate cake made a great late night snack for when we got home. :)

This is one of my favorite restaurants and the Rosemont location is my favorite Mortons. Service is always top notch. They just opened a new patio so you can an enjoy he outdoors when Chicago weather permits. The wait staff is the best.

My husband and I just celebrated our anniversary at Morton's. It was our first trip, and it will not be our last. Absolutely everything about the experience was top notch. The service was impeccable, the food was delicious and the Lemon Souffle they gave us for our anniversary was beyond words. I would highly recommend the escargot, and the twice baked au gratin potatoes, and if it's a nice enough evening, sit our on the patio, it's gorgeous. Will be going back very, very soon!

Hello my name is Don but no, I'm not a food critic. I'm not even a 'foodie'. Furthermore, I refuse to be friends with people who use such an irritating label for themselves. I am, however, an utterly cheap bastard down to the very marrow of my bones. This distinction is valuable because I did not find the steak I consumed at Morton's problematic in any particular way, I simply had much higher expectations for a meal of its cost. I probably could have bought a similar cut of meat for half the price and grilled it just as well myself (and I enjoy grilling anyways). But the steak was a good piece of meat and was cooked very well so I don't have anything to complain about. I just don't think I would pay for it again. More noteworthy than the food was the service my gf and I received. I can say it was possibly the best service I have ever experienced at a restaurant. Strangely, as a general rule, I find that the more expensive the restaurant, the worst the service seems to be. They can probably smell my cheap bastardliness. Morton's did not reflect this general rule. The waiter was attentive though clearly busy and respectful to the extreme. Most uniquely, he would look me dead in the eyes every time I spoke to him or vise versa. So strangely rare at many upscale places. The services gives it an easy 3.5, but I just can't give it a 4 without finding a meal I really like.

It's not often enough that we encounter something really special or have an experience that makes you feel really special. This past Friday afternoon My Son and I had reservations at Morton's Steakhouse in Rosemont for lunch before catching a show at the Akoo Theater. I wanted to write to show my appreciation for the staff and their accommodation for me. I recently had surgery on my ankle that leaves me in a cast and unable to walk. After free parking we hobbled to the door of the bar. When I asked where we should go Bunny offered to seat us in the bar which was closed to save me some steps. We were sat at a very comfortable table and had the entire room to ourselves. I am sure this was an inconvenience for the waiter and staff however they were wonderful and attentive. The service that XX provided was outstanding we could have easily felt left out, like being sat at the kids table at Grandmas house. Instead our Waiter (I wish I could recall his name) made us feel like we were VIP clients set in a private dinning room with our own wait staff. This experience set the tone for the rest of the evening. Mom and Son's don't get to spend enough time together when life grabs hold so it truly was a special evening. Of course the food was spot on as always at Morton's. The prosciutto wrapped mozzarella was a great starter and jump started our senses. The steaks were amazing and perfectly cooked, topped it off with Cheese cake and coffee. Lovely and Thank you.

I went to Morton's last weekend with my family. My parents have been there before and said they had a great gluten-free menu. The food really was good. But our service was horrible! Our waiter clearly had no idea how to deal with the gluten-free menu or the two of us that have gluten allergies. He was unable to answer any of our questions and actually made me worried to eat here. I was very disappointed in the service and would be looking to have a different server if I ever come back. It is too bad that is the lasting impression, rather than the delicious food.

The wife and I visited Morton's in Rosemont for Valentines day. Our whole experience here was as great as the one in downtown. Wife ordered the Ribeye steak and I also ordered the Ribeye, but the Chicago-cut with the bone-in. My steak was excellent! It came out to the medium that I wanted it, juicy and tender. To end the night, we had for desert the Morton's Chocolate Souffle which came with a side of vanilla ice cream. I have to admit that was one of the best deserts I've had in awhile, and I'm not really a chocolate or desert person. Once you cut into the center of the desert, it oozes with chocolate goodness! Overall, great food, excellent service (very attentive), and par pricing with higher end steakhouse dining. Will definitely return to Morton's!

Went on my birthday while I was traveling on business with my husband and I just had to write about my memorable experience! Everything from the greeting to our waiter to our meal was exemplary! We were presented with menus that were personalized with "Happy Birthday (my name)" with the date and year along with a photograph of us in the booth in a holder and finished with a complimentary soufflés of my choosing (one of my favorite desserts)! Nick, our waiter was superb. Our dinners (we both had the filet mignon) and sides grilled asparagus and Chicago mashed potatoes were melt in your mouth delicious. You guys deserve 6 out of 5 stars!! Thank you for a wonderful memory for my 50th birthday!

Not a fan. I get the concept and have had plenty of big steakhouse meals in my life, but I just don;t understand how everything that hit our table was just not cooked or more precisely burnt. I am done with Morton's. Too many other great options in Chicago (and by the airport) to go back to an empty well time and again.

All I have to say is WOW June 25th was our 15 year wedding anniversary and we celebrated at Morton's. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with smiles, after asking our names the whole wait staff wished us a Happy anniversary an proceeded to take our picture. We then were seated with are own personal menu's that had our names and wishing us a happy anniversary( nice touch) 5 minitues later they presented the picture to us signed by the whole wait staff. - Food was GREAT Karen was our sever she was top knotch I will definitely be back!!

You can rarely go wrong with Morton's, and this one is no exception. Having been a lifelong devotee of this steakhouse, and having visited over a dozen of their locations around the world, it's experiences like the one we got served here that keeps us coming back for more. On a transfer flight over the summer, our flight got delayed, and so we ended up spending the night in Chicago. Disappointed but still hoping to make the best of the situation, I called to make us a reservation at Morton's. How quickly they changed our day for us. As soon as we arrived, a friendly hostess quickly whisked away our coat. Fortunately, it must have been a slow night as we were quickly ushered to our tables. I ordered my usual, and was pleasantly greeted by an always consistent, savory salad and steak. My date, who was unfamiliar with the restaurant, insisted on ordering a well-done steak. However, when her steak arrived, she was disappointed that it was not as juicy as mine. Not quite the best logic, I agree, and noticing her displeasure, I called over the waiter to get her a Shrimp Alexander instead. Yes, I see the irony as well. When the bill came, I couldn't help but notice the steak she had ordered was absent from the steak. When I asked the waiter, he insisted that it was on the house. Now how much better can customer service get?

Some of the best fine food there is. Single cut filet, grilled asparagus, bacon wrapped scallops, and the shrimp Alexander are personal favorites. They can make a great lemon drop too!

My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of eating at Morton's last night. We decided to do a "date night" and have a nice dinner and see a movie afterward! Plus, he had never been to a "fancy" steakhouse and I wanted to show him what really, really good food (i.e. steak) was like! Ironically, he did not have a chance to try a steak! Since I'm a "fish eating vegetarian", we decided to share everything and go the seafood route (bless his heart!) We ordered the tuna tartar as an appetizer, the baked seafood platter for two as our main entree and the onion rings as our naughty, decadent side dish. Everything was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious! Our favorite was the famous chocolate cake for dessert which is a little cake, baked on the outside, with a rich, molten chocolate filling that oozes out when you cut into it. It is served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and it was truly delicious! If you go, you must request to get seated with Hank. He had such a great personality! He was very knowledgeable about the food, did a fabulous presentation and overall, was just a really cool guy who was very friendly and accommodating. The entire staff was great and we felt very welcomed from the moment we walked in! The maitre d' (hope I'm using that term in the proper context -the head host) was also a really cool guy and I regret that I cannot remember his name (I'm sorry!). He stopped by a few times to ask if we were enjoying ourselves (and yes, we were!) Even my boyfriend said, "I feel like we are so important here!" That's a nice feeling for two people with big egos who think they already are rock stars (ha ha!)This is a very nice place for a romantic date and we will be back!

Went here for a retirement party and even though we had 10 people in our party we were treated as if we booked the whole place. Food service parking atmosphere was all top notch. The Manager was just so accomadatiing and they gave us a private room and rolled out the red carpet. Eventhough it's expensive in todays economy the food and service was well worth it. JILL KOSS IS AN ABSOLUTE DOLL ..... She set everything up and followed up on everything.....To bad i'm not single...

The brand name continues to say it all. Quality and service are impeccable. We have frequented this place over the years and most recently for my bday this summer. Even though it is tucked away in a business center and very unassuming, once inside, you are transported to what Morton's is all about, a classy steakhouse with excellent eats. The service is outstanding and their wait staff is not only friendly but are quite knowledgable and not shy about telling you what you should eat. If you are staying at the nearby Hyatt, make sure to ask the concierge for their Morton's discount. Don't be shy, its a little fold out booklet that give you a great deal. Dinner for 2 for $100. It is quite a value. You would think, but you just don't do that at Morton's. But hey, times have changed and even this classic place has to be sensitive to the times. And they are with a hotel partnership like this. Just ask is all you have to do! My favorite continues to be the filet and the asparagus. A must to end the meal is the hot chocolate cake. Pure Nirvana!

The food here was good, but we thought the service could have been more attentive. Our waiter seemed to have lots of other tables as well as forget things. We arrived earlier than our reservation, but still had to wait. We did get a booth for waiting longer which was nice. There were lots of people smoking in this restaurant, I couldn't figure out if there actually was a non-smoking area. Most of the customers were lots older than us and were clearing out pretty early (probably heading to the big Johnny Mathis concert down the road). There's lots of time spent here explaining the different cuts of meat as well as the appetizers, veggies, salads and desserts. Our meat was great and so were the mushrooms I ordered, but the chocolate souffle we had for dessert wasn't so good. This location is in the basement of a building. You walk in and down a few flights of stairs. I didn't see any elevator for those physically challenged people. The basement location makes it kind of dark in there, like the older steakhouses. The rest rooms are kind of tricky to find, so don't drink too much or you will be walking around forever. Hubby said he felt like he was exiting a cineplex when he was going to the men's room. So this is a good place to go for a big honking piece of meat, but you are paying a lot for the name. I'd have to agree with the other reviewers that there is nothing special here.

Clearly, if it's a Morton's, it should be good. But I have to hand it to the staff, who handled our rather large party of conventioneers with warmth and grace. The food was delicious. The cocktails were absolutely amazing. And the desserts were luxurious.

Loved it! Been here twice. First time was terrible. This time very different. Got there about 15 min before they started serving, so natch, we went into the bar. (the bartender there makes a killer raspberry martini). Shortly they started serving these mini steak sandwiches as bar-fare. !!! Awesome! had dreams about them!!!!!!!! Continuing onto the table (2 more martini's in tow) I had the steak-shrimp combo. Really delish. (the salad and baked potatoe were of usual quality). Topping it off with the chocolate cake. *(again changing my last meal) The worst part of the evening was that I paid for it! (*note to self: get a guy to take you there next time!)

This place is great...and expensive. Know that going into this established meat locker and you are in for a treat. As a matter of fact, go here on the company dollar...like i did. Order any selection of red meat. They are all great cuts...and mmmm...goooooood! I had a 16 oz rib eye...medium rare and it melted off the fork. They have some sea food...as a matter of fact, the waiter had a live lobster on his cart when he wheeled by to show us samples of the various cuts of meat available....but don't order sea food at a steak place. Remember that you need to order "sides" on the side...they don't come with the $40+ pieces of meat. I ordered the asparagas...which comes in sets of 5 pieces...with very little to share with anyone else. I find this a little irritating....but Morton's has ALWAYS done it that way. Come hungry...you will crawl out of there.

This place isn't open for lunch, but just dinner. It's very unfortunate because I'm always on the hunt for good places to eat around work. They do have a pretty good deal for Happy Hour. They have free mini steak sandwiches. They are good, but yet simple with mayo. I ask them to not put any in for my benefit. The bartender seemed to have recognized me, and is pretty cool. I don't actually go that often, but I always enjoy it when I do. They have some great special drinks. Try the Pomegranate and the Pistacchio martinis, they are excellent. I'm sure the prices are equivalent to drinks at other steak places, so why not get free mini-steak sandwiches?! Always looking forward to the next happy hour!

I've been to a lot of steakhouses downtown and in O'Hare area and Morton's is the best! The food is great, but what really sets it apart is the customer service. The manager is fantastic and he always seems to remember me the few times I've been there. I'm sure it's because they can do notes in their reservation system, but it's the little things that make Morton's special.

My girlfriend took me here for my birthday just recently and I really can't see how people could of thought less of this place. It may have been because of my birthday that the staff was so attentive, but I don't think so. The menus came printed with Happy Birthday on it and all of the servers wished me a happy birthday. We ended up doing the surf and turf deal for 2 for $99 dollars and were totally not disappointed with the food. The filet mignons were perfectly cooked as requested. The meat is wet aged and though I don't think it's the best cut of meat I've had, it is one the best. The bernaise sauce felt almost too decadent and really wasn't needed, but tasted really good with the food. Also, the salads were quite big and tasty. I had the seared scallops wrapped in bacon which was quite delicious though I didn't think it really needed the bacon and ended up putting some of it on the baked potato.. speaking of which, the baked potatoes were huge and could of been a meal there in itself. Usually I can't really stand hollandaise sauce, but it went along great with the giant asparagus. I wanted to try the creamed spinach for two as well as it looked really good at the next table over. Desserts.. OMG.. sooo good.. I had the key lime pie while my girlfriend had the chocolate cake. I really loved the chocolate cake though I was already stuffed to the brim. The key lime pie was really done well and I enjoyed it though I am not usually a fan of the stuff. The restaurant has the looks of a standard steakhouse, but just felt nicer with the service we received. I wouldn't make a habit of coming here, but on special occassions I think it is a place I'd go in an instant!

The room was small and loud and located in the basement. I didn't like our table, but we were 30 min late so I guess that's what you get for being late. As for the food, steak was very nice. The mashed potatoes were soggy and too cold. The waiter kept grabbing stuff off the table without saying a word, which annoyed me. I was taking a bite of food and suddenly I had a set of hands in front of my face grabbing the unused wine glasses. I can't comment on the bar as I didn't order any drinks. Between the two of us, we had two servings of soup, one appetizer, no salads, two steaks, two sides, one dessert, a cappuccino, and he had two beers. The bill came to be $225, adding 20% for tip, that's nearly $300 for an average meal. I will never go back, not when I can have a comparable meal with better service and better mashed potatoes for a third of the price. Way overrated in my opinion.

Your just gonna have to go and see for your self. Some people love it and some can't stand it. I think it comes down to if you like steak and/or large plates. It's definitely a place to feel like you have power and you being served with royalty. So, basically it's a place to be showoff with friends or customers and entertain. I do have to say it's pricy and the food is superb top notch. A little dark but helps create the almost speakeasy feel.

I have had the luxury of being at Morton's twice- both for special occasions because this place is very expensive. I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for and this place is beyond worth it. The service is outstanding and the food couldn't be better. The steaks are mouth-watering and the sides to choose from never fail on taste. They have an impressive wine selection that the server can help you pair with your meal. Order the chocolate souffle at the beginning of the meal because it takes a while, but is soooooo worth it. So creamy and flaky- it's the best. This place has a reputation for being one of the best steakhouses in the country, as it should my friends, as it should.

I had a quick trip to chicago early December & stayed close to O'hare. Morton's was a very convenient "spot" being close to O'Hare and considering it was FREEZING!!! This particular location is smaller & more of an intimate setting. I must say that the Maitre d'/ General manager/ Sommelier, Patrick was very helpful and gave some outstanding wine suggestions. In fact he brought out his favorite wine which is not on the menu. I appreciated the personal experience. I had him write the names of the wines I had enjoyed 'Fransican Cuvee Suvage & Magnificate" Patrick brought out our selections of the best quality meats & live lobster on a platter he explained each cut, quality & what specials they offered that evening. I started with shrimp cocktail, the cocktail sauce had a nice bite to it, I love when my eyes water a little. I also had the lobster bisque always a favorite of mine. for my main course i chose the petite filet, it is always just enough for me, my favorite. I also had the macaroni and cheese a new item on the menu, I must say they had perfected the creamy, cheesy sauce with the crispy crumb top, soooo bad but sooooo good!!!! After all the great food, I must say I had no room for dessert.... I left Mortons knocked up by my filet, lol There will be a next time! Morton's is another great steak house. You can't go wrong. I had an exceptional dining experience thanks to my date & Patrick.

What a great dining experience. My wife, 3 year old daughter and I went in late around 9pm(I think on a Wed evening) and had a really great experience. When you walk in you have to go downstairs for the dinning room. The decor is very classy a little dark for my taste but that's par for the coarse. We were welcomed by the staff that made us feel very welcome. I think having an adorable little girl had a little to do with it. I asked the hostess since this was our first time in what to eat and she actually gave an opinion. I really hate the "everything is good" answer. We were seated right away and the table was pulled out for us to sit in our cozy booth. We had to primary servers. They were very responsive and helpful in making our selection for dinner, and drinks. Not surprising being in a fine dinning restaurant and considering it was late and not very crowded. Going back to the drinks they have some great beer! Micro brews and some really high end brews. We stared our meal with a freshly baked loaf of wonderful bread. My wife and I both ordered the rib-eye mine was a bigger cut with the bone in.We also ordered some wonderful fresh vegetables. My wife's steak was perfect and mine was a bit overcooked still a great piece of meat and I ate the whole thing. I did mention it to my server who brought around the manager who offered to remove it from the check. I told her that wasn't necessary and she insisted. She seemed embarrassed that they had missed the mark. We ended up talking for about 15 min. Overall we had great food and an even better experience. Thanks Morton's We'll be back. I would give 5 stars but it is very pricey and they did get my steak wrong.

Great steak, wine & salad. Live paino music is a plus, when it's offered. I prefer bar seating for socializing with my friends or dining alone.

I have eaten here 3-4 times and have enjoyed the food every time. Not sure it's worth the money but it has never disappointed from a quality standpoint. Don't go here if you want to carry on a conversation. Its a very load place during busy times.

Perfect location for having a good meal right after landing at O'hare. Cool dining room below ground level. Nice vibe to it -- classy steakhouse vibe. Exceptional filet. Getting the steak right was expected, but they also got the veggies right. Had asparagus and green beans. Both were tender and crisp and delicious. Everything here is huge. My filet was huge, but I just arrived on a flight from LA so I was very hungry. The two sides we ordered were just right for sharing with two people. The dinner "roll?" was this enormous roll made for giants. I ate 1% of it and my cousin passed on it. Order for 2: 2 filets, 2 sides, 2 glasses of wine = $150.

Ok, here is my overly detailed review of my experience.... 1-5 star Grading is based on expectations of a high-end steak house. Martini's***: Fine for a high-end place but nothing to wow me... Plus they were $11... Salads*: These were well below average. They tasted like they had made them all earlier in the day or the day before and then let them sit waiting for dinner service. We tried both the Morton's Salad and a Caesar Salad. Not impressed and would skip next time. Crab cake***: This was good. Really what it should be at a place like this. Not over the top impressive, but no flaws either. Shrimp Alexander*****: Wow this was good. Cooked perfectly and tasted like fresh shrimp. Great sauce and good presentation. Single Cut Filet****: Perfectly cooked (Mine medium and wife's medium rare) and served with a Barnaise sauce. No real flaws. Sides (Asparagus with Hollandaise and Potatoes Lyonnaise)***: Asparagus was slightly below average and needed salt. Potatoes were a little better, tasted kind of like a skillet hash from Waffle House. Would have been great with eggs for breakfast. Cheesecake**: Average Morton's Legendary Hot Chocolate Cake*****: Fantastic. It was a chocolate cake with an almost crispy exterior and a hot fudge interior. Served with ice-cream. I am not usually a chocolate cake fan, but this was impressive. Complementary After Dinner Drinks (Choice of Sambuca, Port, Brandy, and something else I can't remember) *****: Generous pours and good quality drinks. I had not had Sambuca before and determined that Sambuca breath might be worse than coffee and cigarettes. Wow, the black licorice flavor is strong and travels. Had to chew on raw garlic and onions on the way home. Service Waitress**- Not what it should have been at a place like this. She seemed lost at times and not as refined as you would expect. Also, before the place was full, all of the wait staff was over to the side telling stories of their weekend in front of the arriving guests. Sommelier****- Great, we asked for a recommendation for a Pinot Noir and I described (very poorly) what I was looking for. What he suggested was exactly what we wanted. Atmosphere*** - Comfortable, but the stairs were a bit harder to climb after the meal and wine. Overall, I give this place 3 stars. They need a little work on the wait staff and some of the dishes to be what the prices suggest. Some of the other waiters and waitresses looked to be more practiced and comfortable.

Over. Rated. I should have known something was up when I saw that the restaurant actually sits in an office building. Strange. The main floor is the bar; the dining room is downstairs. Service was arguably some of the best I have ever had. Our server was excellent. The appetizers were good as were the cocktails, steak was meh, sides were awesome. I was very disappointed by the overall gimmicky-ness of the place. In addition to the menu, we were presented cards with pictures of various other "new" side dishes that they were trying out. The cards looked like something you'd expect to see on your table at Chili's. In addition, there is a frequent diner's club (or something) that they try to sell you on at the close of your dinner. Both of those things are fine I suppose, but they are normally not associated with $200 dinners-for-two at steakhouses, I don't think. Though the ambiance of the actual eating area was on par with what I have come to expect from steakhouses, the flyer cards and the frequent diner's club were not. These, coupled with my meh NY strip steak has made me hesitant to return. For the amount of money I spent, I could have gone to Gibson's one street over and been much more pleased.
