I already see too things in common with someone else's review, thought the place looked "iffy" from first inspection from the outside, but once we got in the room everything cool. The place was good but then there was no working A/C, it was hot but not super scorching hot in June-thank god. Call the front desk, we stepped out for a bit then it was fixed by the time we came back. The rate was pretty cheap to stay that night. It was a weekday and 2 queen size beds I think we got for $60 or less. Maybe it was a priceline deal, I can't remember. It was just a place to go "shit, shower and shave" as they say. We were road warriors and had so many other places to go, but it was like 2 days since our last shower or close enough to two days. Being on the road was kind of tough, got the three hours of sleep here, got our drink on in the room and then it was time to explore more of Chicago area then head out of town. Didn't have any problems with check out or the front desk at all.

Got in here after a cancelled flight. Walk in the room with a broken A/C. A worker came in to the room late night to jimmy it with a hammer, and then it rattled all night. Minimalist-ic hotel. As the two stars say - I've experienced better.

Every time I saw the lobby or any of the interior hallways, I heard either the murder twins from the Shining or the music from Psycho. Out of curiosity, later I googled the hotel to check out pics, and the ones I found of the lobby were quite distorted. I ended up here after missing a connection at O'Hare (shocking, I know) and it being the last flight. American Airlines sent me here and I was too tired to bother with making other arrangements. Next time, I'll slow down and make a better decision. Main issues with this hotel: * seriously dated and creepy lobby and hallways, especially the hallway to the bar next door * such a terrible area. What is this place? Land of construction and shitty hotels that don't even seem to have lobby bars/restaurants. Other than Shoeless Joe's and the family restaurant next to it (delivery from this is what they call their room service... complete with delivery charge and order minimum). Otherwise, not even a gas station to walk to. Good stuff: * at least, despite the lobby, the room was pretty clean * the staff were all extremely nice * the bar next door (Shoeless Joe's) was a pleasant surprise in comparison. Don't stay here unless it's really all you can find/afford or you plan on getting plastered at Shoeless Joe's and for some reason would rather stay in this totally unsexy motel than use that money for an Uber back to a decent part of town.

It's clean, it's a bed for the night, and the folks are nice. The second floor is in need of major renovations. The room was SO tired and the shower could use some bleaching. The bathroom was so small. I was so surprised a tub fit in there! It did have a fridge a microwave which is very convenient. They're is also a self serve coffee and tea bar in the lobby which was a nice touch. Give yourself sometime or be prepared to wait on the shuttle if heading out to the airport. I've noticed the ones Ord are never on time or are delayed.

This is the worst location and the worst room I have ever stayed in. I do want to say the lobby staff and maintenance staff were very kind, I don't know who the manager is but I will pursue to let them know how filthy it is here. Very, very disappointing. I don't have pie in the sky expectations and I'm not a "room snob" but this is really unbelievable to me to be branded by Best Western. It was well above what I have normally paid for a moderate property. We chose the property due to its proximity to the airport and an early morning flight, do not have a rental car or would not have stayed once we took a closer look at the room.

The Good: - comfortable king mattress - close to O'Hare w/ free shuttle - complimentary breakfast (eggs, pancakes, pastry, cereal, beverage. Two thumbs down for lack of any breakfast meat) - gym (never went, couldn't tell ya) - free wi-fi The Bad - older hotel so smelled like cigarette smoke (repainting helps) - water pressure in both shower and vanity was minus -83,000 - 40 thread count towels, better off using toilet paper to dry - HDTV but no HD - lukewarm A/C - located near area of Rosemont - again, no meat with complimentary breakfast. All I wanted was bacon Would I come back? Sorry B-Dub, probably not.

Unefficient front desk Very unreliable shuttle service (shuttle never came at the airport. We waited 45 minutes. We saw other hotels' shuttles twice. And we missed freshly arrived shuttle to airport). We ended up taking a cab twice. Wifi does not work - disconnecting every 5 seconds Unrequested wakeup call at 6 am Weird smell in the rooms. Minimal bath kit: 2 soaps and a shampoo-conditioner... That doesnt condition at all... My hear looked like a cabbage.

Very friendly front desk checked me right in. Shuttle was prompt coming and going unlike most reviews so maybe they have been listening to complaints. But the rooms reek of air freshener, the carpets and floors were sticky. You get a bathroom and a bar of soap straight out of a prison. And I didn't want to get into bed as the comforter and sheets looked like they had been used to roll up a murder victim. And the TV remote is in a sanitizer box. Why would you have to do that? Oh. Yuck.

So I have to agree with the other reviewers....this place has the Shining written all over it! The hallways especially! I seriously expecting twins to pop out and say "play with us". A makeover and complete up date is more than needed here! The room I had on the second floor wasn't the cleanest it could have been. The windows actually opened but had no screen in them. Paint on the wall behind the curtain was chipping off on to the floor. The door didn't seem very secure with a chain lock though it did have a dead bolt it still seemed to flimsy to really keep anyone out. The bathroom was ok, could use a good bleaching. Only had two towels available, found a housekeeper to give me more but it wasn't till later I saw I had no wash cloths. The beds weren't too bad, though too low to the floor. I prefer to sleep high up. They were pretty comfortable though and sheets were clean. And though the walls are thin it was a pretty quiet night The TV was a nice flat screen. Fridge in the room but if you needed to heat something up you have to go down to the lobby. Very inconvenient and awkward. there's nothing nearby to walk to so you're kinda stuck there (not sure if their shuttle will take you other places) Complimentary breakfast was in the on site restaurant. Surprisingly good! typical things you'd find at a hotel breakfast. Cheese omelets cooked very well. Bacon wasn't to greasy. Good variety of cereal and muffins. This was the main reason I gave this place 3 stars instead of 2. Not the best place to sleep not the cheapest but after leaving here and going to the cheapest I was dying to come back here. If only for the breakfast. So shell out the couple extra bucks and stay here the alterative isn't worth it.

For a three night stay, this hotel was just right for a mini vacation. It was not bad for the price. It is right across from the airport. While it is nothing fancy, it met the needs for a weekend vacation...a place to sleep and rest. The hotel is older and could use some repairs but is kept clean. Parking is adequately available during the day but may be a little tricky at night due to a nightclub on the property. The beds were comfortable. There was adequate warm water and heating for us guests from Texas. (We stayed in cold November...a little colder than what we are used to.) I was impressed to see the hotel use name brand toiletries rather than generic brands. Our room included a flat screen tv, fridge, and microwave. The staff was friendly upon check-in and during our stay. The market pantry was a little disappointing as it was not adequately stocked with basics like water bottles. The free breakfast was amazing...fluffy pancakes each morning with a rotating menu of sides based on the day of the week. Bagels, toast, oatmeal, cereal, juices, fruit, and coffee are also available. Breakfast is served in the family restaurant on property, which is undergoing renovation. Overall, this was a pleasant and comfortable stay.

OMG. First of all, let me preface this review by saying I'm currently in the middle of a bit of a travel nightmare. I'll save that full story for my American Airlines review (which is positive,) but to give a little bit of background... I had several flight issues today trying to go to NYC to STL, which resulted in me getting into Chicago at 11pm and I'm flying out again at 4am this morning. I got a hotel room here to sleep for three hours, because well, three is better than none. If it's any indication on how this hotel is, I'm writing this review instead of sleeping for those precious few hours. Although the bed doesn't look as bad as I thought it would while getting to my room. One star because they got me in last minute, another for the free wi-fi, but minus three stars because this place is so dirty and has a smell I've yet to experience. I get that they're under construction in some parts, but I literally walked through a major construction area to try to find the elevator... I wasn't even sure if I was supposed to be over there. Hiked it up some stairs and into my room, and the musty smell and the dirt in the bathroom was enough to make my stomach do a couple of flips (and not the good kind.) Between that and having absolutely no belongings with me (except my purse and my MAC,) I'm not really loving this whole situation. If my wake up call and cab situation are okay I might up 'em to three stars. I really don't recommend staying here unless you're desperate. Like me. :) And now I'm going to try snapping my fingers and maybe I'll be back in St. Louis!

They should bulldoze this joint and start from scratch. I'm a big fan of the Best Western brand, and this location does not represent BW well. Old facilities, leaky faucet, elevator from the 50's I'd guess. Check-in was smooth, but front desk clerk at check-out was terrible - condescending and snotty, appearance sloppy. Really? No shampoo and a blow dryer that didn't work. Conditioner, lotion, soap, but no shampoo. Good thing I brought my own. I expect more. This isn't Motel 6, right? The ONLY redeeming value is proximity to O'Hare. I'll give them 2 stars, but that is being generous.

Work puts me up here whenever I have to come help out at O'Hare. The place is clean, albeit run down. It seriously needs a major renovation and update. It's two girls on tricycles away from a Stephen King movie. The showers suck! You can set the water to the temp you want and while you're showering in bounces back and forth from ice cold to scolding hot. If you are letting your child shower be VERY careful, or let them take a bath (the temp changes don't seem to be an issue when drawing a bath). Only thing that made this a 2 star place instead of 1 star is the cleanliness, but even that is somewhat negated by the fact that everything is rundown and showing its age.

I thought I was gonna give no stars. My company booked this place, I thought about using my own money to switch hotels. From the outside, parking, elevator front desk people, room quality I was so disappointed. Plus when I was getting ready for a meeting I discovered my room hair dryer didn't work and of course no help getting fixed so wet hair for my meeting. Wasn't happy about that. So had to shower night before each day after that. But it wasn't too bad. It's still very old and kinda run down. Parking sucks, and don't expect much. But it's a bed to sleep. Stayed for 3 nights and survived. Next time I will so elsewhere.

Every thing is nice and clean, but the way it was being cleaned was OK the lobby was dirty but it was snowing so that's ok. The Elevators were very old witch was really scary. The staff was nice and neat. The lamp was unplugged so I couldn't plug my tablet until I figured out what was wrong. But over all it was a nice stay.

Dirty rooms. Hair in the bed. Shifty neighborhood. Just cheap and nasty.

Don't stay here awful place run down, dirty, noisy. The place should be bull dozed down. The restaurant was closed for breakfast. I had to tear the bed apart to check for bed bugs. If I could give this place a 0 star I would!

We stayed there for two nights this August. It was reasonably priced and we enjoyed the free continental breakfast. There was a great guy at the front desk who really helped us out by printing out directions, getting us complimentary water bottles for our busy day, and discussing the area with us. (In case his managers want to recognize him- he worked a Sat. morning, was dressed well, and was of Indian descent I think.) The construction was obviously not pleasant to look at on the first floor and the hotel is older and could use renovations upstairs too (there was also no screen in our room and we wanted the window open, but couldn't because bugs were flying in). However, it was very clean and quiet. Good stay overall.

I chose this hotel because it had a shuttle from the airport and wireless internet. I liked that I could just take the subway from O'Hare but I didn't realize that it took an hour to Chicago. It didn't hurt that there was a sports bar next door. The room was boring, clean, and large. There are also a mini snack food mart and vending machines in the building.

This Best Western looks 'iffy' from the outside, however it is a surprisingly nice place for the price. The rooms seem to be a nice size and very clean. The room is also fairly comfortable, and the heater / a/c unit is powerful enough to keep the room at the temperature of your liking. The room also features a small refrigerator and microwave. This hotel has decent *free* wireless (802.11b). I noticed that they had at least 5 access points visible from the room I was in, and all had good strength, so it should be possible to get a good and strong connection with decent speed anywhere in the building. Pricewise, this place can be a good deal. Room rates under $60 a night can be had through Priceline. Parking can be a bit tricky, however, they have free access to a nearby parking garage. This differs from some of the other nearby hotels which will charge fees for parking per car per day. Overall, I will recommend this place to people who are interested in a basic hotel at a low cost.

Great value, price is reasonable for the area and the rooms are neat and clean. I had no issues with parking and the staff was responsive. I would have given this 4 stars, but for some reason the hotel permanently smelled bad. Everything else was good.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I moved to Chicago recently and since my flight was getting in late, I decided to wait until the next day to pick up my rental car and stay here for a night. The problems started right away: 1. I had called ahead to find out what I needed to do to get a shuttle from the airport. I was told to simply call when I was curbside, which I did. It took over half an hour for the shuttle to arrive (which I was not warned about) and in this time every other hotel's shuttle managed to arrive at least twice. Why it took so long I don't know. 2. When we arrived we found out the hotel was overbooked and there were no rooms left even though I'd made my reservation several months in advance and specified that I'd be checking in late. There were a few other people in the same situation and we waited around while the staff tried to come up with a solution-this apparently took several calls to their manager who was not on the premises for whatever reason. Finally they decided to take us to another hotel. 3. This is where the fun really starts. The hotel that they took us to was half an hour away. Again, I'd specifically chosen this hotel because it was close to the airport and close to the rental car pick-up location. Now we were being driven half an hour away. This, even though this area by the airport is littered with various different hotels. The reason they were driving us so far away became clear as soon as we arrived at our destination: The motel they were leaving us at (which wasn't another Best Western but just some random motel) was filthy. The sheets were dirty, there was a giant hole in the wall in the bathroom, etc. I expect a certain level of quality from a Best Western and I expected that when they took us to a different motel it would be of similar quality. This did not meet those expectations at all. To add insult to injury, there was no food within walking distance (again, unlike the Best Western we booked, which has a restaurant attached to it that was open late) and so we had to go to bed hungry. Conclusion: stay far far away from this hotel. It simply is not worth it!

If you're looking for a place to lay your head for the night before a flight, this is a good deal. Beds are comfortable and transportation reliable.
