I never review fast food restaurants because the food is basically all the same whether you eat at a franchise in IL or FL. What's the point of reviewing it? However, I must give a shoutout to this specific Culver's for their great service. Being from out of state, Culver's is a bit of a novelty for me because we don't have it at home so I'll admit I was pretty excited about the food too. It's like they took the best parts of Wendy's, Dairy Queen, and a fast casual restaurant with better menu choices and combined them into one place. Loved the menu variety, the butter burger and fries, and the huge selection of custard - perfect end to the meal. Yum! But, as I said, the real standout here is the staff. Everyone we encountered was really friendly and helpful and actually seemed to enjoy their jobs. I appreciated how they delivered our order to the table, insisted on getting refills of coffee for my aunt and uncle, and even checked on us throughout the meal. Well done! The clientele of this Culver's is on the older side, and they really do a good job taking care of them. I also must give props to the manager. He had a great rapport with the customers and seemed to know many of them by name. He cleared tables, delivered food, and even stopped and chatted with all the customers during my visit. An involved manager who isn't afraid to get his hands dirty is the sign of a great restaurant IMHO. Great job, Culver's!

As a cheese fry lover... These cheese fries were a joke. This is just a comment on cheese. I'm sure there are delightful things on the menu but I not got cheese fries....so sorry not really sorry for the rating

The difference between this location and the other Culver's outlets is their owner. He is hands on, visible and no task is beneath him, he takes food out to cars, takes orders at the counters, gets orders ready out of the kitchen and when its slow he goes around to each table and talks with patrons. He even gives discounts to those loyal customers (like my wife & I), who eat there a lot. This is textbook Culvers, too bad the other locations don't follow in their footsteps.

AS A FORMER EMPLOYEE at this location, i can honestly say culvers is overpriced and overrated in general.....those "butter" burgers are nothing special...they're just rolled in a mini tub of grease before warmed in the bun machine....very bad for your health......their burger meats comes in raw cubes and are flattened on a grill to cook...but in all honesty, i dont see a drastic difference between their burger meat and other franchises interms of taste...They store raw burger meat cubes in their cooler for weeks....sometimes these meats cubes sit in blood...sometimes they turn brownish instead of staying pinkish....Raw meat sitting in blood and turning slighty brownish seems dangerous for human consumption...Im not a food inspector so i might be wrong.....i would stay away from their burger meat patties at this location.....besides the burger meat issue, every item on their menu is OK....The most impressive menu item is the pot roast dinner...Impressive for fast food joint....its not the way your grandmother makes it but its not bad either. PRICE....Every item on their menu is overpriced...overpriced by 2 to 3 dollars FOR NO REASON....you're better off going to a real franchise restaurant like Applebee's or chilli's if you plan on ordering for 2 or more......You're better off going to 5 GUYS....FIVE GUYS is the same price range as culvers but far more superior than culvers will ever be..... CROWD/ATMOSPHERE/DINNING AREA....this location tends to attract an older demographic because there is a senior citizens subdivision close by.....It also attracts alot of christian churchy types...its a haven for the stereotypical white suburbanite family... Conservative and somewhat reserved atmosphere.....i dont know when this store was built or how long its been in operation but it has an old soul... Most ppl come here for frozen custard but my favorite menu item is.....CHEESE CURDS......besides frozen custard, cheese curds, and maybe the pot roast dinner, i wont recommend trying anything else on that menu....its a waste of money....

This was my first time at a culver's because they don't have them where I am from! The service was really good and the food was ready fast. The cheese curds are a must have! I also had an oreo shake which was delicious and a cheese burger. A lot of food will probably just get cheese curds next time!

I love this place! Yeah, sometimes their burgers are a little too greasy. But if it tastes amazing, why does it matter? The only thing I miss is marinara sauce. "No I do NOT want ranch with my cheese curds." Was there a huge reason for getting rid of it?

This place is made of all the stuff fast food should be. It is fairly quick, has reliably good food and an always friendly staff. Sometimes we come here to eat and sometimes just stop in the drive through for a milkshake. The food here is a tad more expensive than the average fast food joint, but the quality is usually way higher too. My only issues with this location are that the burgers tend to be really greasy and the flavor of the day flavors are usually terrible. Sometimes they have awesome flavors like strawberry cheesecake or key lime pie, but usually they are icky ones like pralines or some sort of caramel nut concoction. Yuck.

I've been here about six times. They can never get my basic custard order right. I ask for chocolate custard w/ almonds. They make me a cup of vanilla custard with peanuts and a drip of chocolate sauce. Service is pretty slow! The food is slapped together, and they skimp on toppings despite charging extra for them. The last time I went here, I ordered one scoop of the flavor of the day. I received a kiddie cup that contained half a scoop of custard. The price for that: $1.79. If you want onions, mayo, tomato, and lettuce on your burger, there's a charge added to the bill. Way too expensive and overrated. Come here for the snack pack and get your custard somewhere else.

So imagine a cross breed between McDonalds, Dairy Queen and Portillos and you get Culvers. Now don't get me wrong, I like my hands glistening in the sun from the grease of a dead cow - but when it makes my wax paper basket liner clear..... that's just gross! The prices are okay, but I've always wondered if I'm suppose to tip the server as they stalk you throughout the restaruant.... I say nay. The custard (or Ice cream for you normal folk) is nothing special, but when it starts warming up out - you better believe that that rootbeer float is going to be fantastic!!!
