Worth stopping in for lunch. We found it through this site after going strawberry picking. The garlic and oil grilled shrimp app was amazing!!! I had the turkey Reuben which was the best I had and my hubby had the fish fry which he raced about. Great outdoor patio out back too.

Awesome baked Haddock and potato pancakes. The fried fish was just as good and the place is obviously known by the locals. Come early if you don't want too wait too long. Baked fish is served with melted butter which made it taste almost like lobster! Definitely coming back

Been there 3 times in the last month and a half the fish fry was good the prime rib dinner was delicious and the Broasted Chicken was the best I've had in the area for a very long time ! Will be regulars now and the wait staff were excellent and polite !

Good establishment. Very clean, friendly service, and a nice atmosphere. The heat was up a little high, but nothing to complain about. Price on beer is a little high though.

Fantastic fish fry, go for the Haddock combo (fried AND baked!). Try the potato pancakes too. Maybe Carly will bring you some extra cole slaw if you're nice... Wish they had Scorched Earth Brewery beer, but the Crystal Lake Brewing Company Blonde is good!

Excellent Friday fish fry! It's a must try, but get there early if you can since it fills up quickly.

We were looking to "get out of town", so to speak on a lazy Friday night. We "Yelped" in hopes of maybe finding a new spot with a decent fish fry. We found it! It wasn't that far out of the way (we're in Crystal Lake), but we felt like we were out of town - kind of a perfect happy medium. The fact that the parking lot was packed when we showed up hinted to the fact that the reviews were legit. We put our name on the waitlist and crossed our fingers that the food would live up to our expectations. BEST fish fry ever. We had a combo platter of baked and fried and it was amazing. Potato pancakes on the side were a nice touch! Seriously - this fish was perfectly cooked and absolutely fantastic. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. The owner's wife was working and made her rounds at each table. The place was packed but customers were happy, the staff was cool, and they moved customers in and out efficiently while still making everyone feel welcome. People there were friendly and you could tell this was a "regular" stop for most of the people there. This was worth the (short) drive and one of our happy new finds! We will certainly be back!

The breakfast here is amazing!! And so is the staff!!! Love the bartender, I think her name is Melissa, she's awesome!! There is always a wait for the fish fry on Friday but you can call ahead and put your name on the list. It's plenty of food and very good! The slot machines are also fun to play while you wait for a seat!

I wish I could give this place zero stars. The food was raw and disgusting, the beer was stale and warm, and we were ignored for twenty minutes until the server stopped talking to the regulars and came over to take our drink order. Not recommended at all. I heard only good things about this place and I am so disappointed in the garbage handed to me (metaphorically and literally.)

The breakfast portions were huge! I ordered a western omelet and couldn't finish it. Service was fast and friendly, prices were super reasonable! We will definitely be eating Sunday breakfast here from now on. Make sure you get there early though, dining room and parking lot fill up fast. Can't wait for summer Bon fires on their new patio!

Friday Night Fish Fry is to die for. Absolutely the best I have had in over 10 years. Make sure you get the potato pancakes as the side. OMG what flavor. Best potato pancake ever. No reservations are accepted. Make sure you get there early. If you like battered fish this is worth the wait.

The breakfast omelets are amazing. The Nail omelet and SouthWestern being my favorites. Their wraps and burgers are delicious and their fish fry is excellent. Try the potato pancakes with it! They also do a Saturday night prime rib special that offers a HUGE piece of meat at a great price. Oh and it is delicious too! And for appetizers, the loaded chips (kettle chips with cheese, bacon and chives), the cheese curds and the bigger than Mexico nachos are all favorites. They have a nice beer selection, serve Coors Light in pitchers and make killer Bloody Mary's for those weekend morning kick offs. One of the best places to eat in the area with great owners and a great staff!

It is my first time there. A neighbor invited me for breakfast. I had the biscuits and gravy. Awesome! Great flavor. I looked around a little and all the plates of food looked great. I will be back

We returned for another fish fry. I was slightly disappointed. The fish was quite dry and the portions lacking. Hopefully, just a fluke.

This place has new owners and has been renovated. It looks great inside! Lots of wood and warm colors makes for a great atmosphere. The bar itself is really nice and the bartenders are welcoming and there are several good selections on tap. The food. EXCELLENT! I am a turkey club snob and this is the best one I have had in IL. No kidding. Real turkey (not that rubbery deli stuff) with lots of crispy bacon, fresh greenleaf lettuce and tomato. My friends had burgers and a chicken wrap and they were also really happy with their food. My husband and I will definitely be back!
