Food Suggestions to Maintain Cholesterol Level at Village Inn
The food at the Village Inn is good - no question. The service we received was the worst I've ever experienced. The waitress took orders of people who were seated after us, it took 18 minutes to get water and coffee. When 30 minutes had passed, after ordering, I got the manager. In addition to the bad service we received, the silverware was dirty and someone had spilled a drink and the ice and liquid on the floor just sat there. The manager did check on our meal, got the ice cleaned up and got clean silverware. It took the waitress another 10+ minutes to bring the meal. She left the tickets and never checked on us again. Do yourself a favor and give this place a miss. While the food is good, it doesn't make up for the horrible service.

Overall nice staff, and food was good. This Village Inn location was pretty good and met my expectations on my last visit. I was quickly seated when I arrived, but warned of a wait due to sudden influx of customers. I told them it was ok and thanks for the warning. I ordered an Ultimate Breakfast with Scrambled Egg Whites, and a water with lemon. The server brought the drink quickly, but as warned, it took about 20 min to get my meal. To be fair the place was packed. The food was as expected and cooked to order. The pancakes were as expected from Village Inn, and the syrup was warm. No real surprises there. The server was polite and brought me my check soon after my food so I could check out quickly given it was close to much time. The entire place looked clean and the floor was clean. The bathrooms were clean and free of heavy use for the day. The check was around $10, which is not bad for the amount of meat you get. Overall this location as following the formula and up to standards. Nothing surprising about this location. Three stars for the chain category.

1. Village inn (belongs here) 2.ihop 3.dennys 4.waffle house I've always likes Village Inn because of the variety of options. I had the VIB and got to choose everything on my plate. I wasn't impressed with the biscuits and gravy but I'll let that slide. Everything else was good and for the price, it was great. I also like their pies but I just didn't have enough room. meals for 2 came out to $15. With coffee and OJ total came to $24. Not bad, Village Inn, not bad

Went to Village Inn this morning for some much needed breakfast. My meal was fine. My friend's hashbrowns came with an extra gift: a neon green price tag cooked right into the center of her stack. She ate some of it by accident, realized her mistake, then rushed to the bathroom to throw up. Accidents happen. When we told the waitress what had happened, she was apologetic. Had she left it there it would have been fine. She followed the apology with telling us all the things that had ever fallen into the hashbrowns over time, including a swizzle stick. I believe this sentiment was stated with "If I had a dollar for everytime something was in the hasbrowns that shouldn't be..." Long story short, check your hashbrowns.

Nice staff, Breakfast all day & a large menu plus great desserts. Large portions so don't go overboard. Had the country fried steak & it was very good. Will try again & get something else off the menu. Inside is clean & well maintained.

The atmosphere is just fine with all the locals. Friendly competent staff. Good food but my hamburger was greasy .. Portions very good size so good cost to meal ratio. Clean! We will come back.

Another classic breakfast diner, with the addition of a bakery. I got a breakfast platter which was fine but never tried anything from the bakery. There is tons of different pies and they all looked phenomenal. Definitely going to have to try one next time.

It always amazes me the things that servers do while people are eating. One server decided to run the vacuum cleaner while we were there, and not in a closed section of the restaurant... RIGHT BY tables where people were eating. I was surprised she didn't ask us to lift our feet up! Besides the unpleasant noise impeding any ability to have a conversation and the invasion of personal space, she obviously didn't think about all the dust that vacuum cleaners stir up and the fact that people are EATING!!! Totally unappetizing!!! I understand it has to be done, and this was during a slower time in the middle of the afternoon, but that's just rude to vacuum right under people's feet while they're trying to enjoy a meal! And a so-so meal at that. My eggs, bacon and grits were luke warm, and my friend (who is vegetarian) received her omelet with bacon cooked in it! She sent it back and got her correct order eventually, but our server was unapologetic about it, making excuses for the kitchen, etc. Also, she pretty much abandoned us after dropping off the check. I had to chase her down (literally had to get up from my seat and walk over to her to get her attention) for a to-go box. If I eat here again, I will try to visit during peak dining times so that I can avoid the between-shifts cleaning efforts. Bleh!

I never know what to expect here! This place really runs hot and cold. One visit will be OK, the next one sub par. It's not uncommon for the order to be goofed up. Service can be slow at times, and the wait for your food, once ordered, can be long. It seems like they go through cooks and servers pretty quickly, and that may be the root of the problem. The food is pretty decent when prepared correctly and served hot

Ok they offer free slice wednesdays which means pie. The waitress was high I'm pretty sure. A grilled cheese is 7.50. I had kicken chicken. Not great. Just decent. Think hardees meats Dennys. Overpriced. The pie isn't really free then
