Took a day trip out to Princeton on Father's Day. While we were there, we wanted to try a coffee shop and bakery that was featured in a magazine article for UIC alumni. The article was short, but we were curious, and wanted to try something new, so we stopped in for some coffee and treats. I had a caramel latte and a honey wheat bagel, as well as my husband, who had the same bagel and he had an iced coffee. The bagels are homemade vs. the cookie cutter bagels and we both liked our coffees. The selection is somewhat limited, but we still bought one of everything to bring home! (Such as sour cream cheddar twists, almond joy scones, two large oatmeal, chocolate chip, m&m, & peanut butter cookies, pumpkin cinnamon muffin, be sure to enjoy the glaze!) This place is adorable. It is bright and modern and it feels comfortable, but not cluttered. A great place to grab some coffee and read a book or the newspaper, or chit chat with friends. There are three chalkboards in the back by the bathroom. One features the local doings, and the other was labeled "Things my dad taught me." There was a metal bowl with chalk sitting in it for customers to reply about what their dad taught them. Really cute. Mine was: Love of coffee. Be sure to check out the bathroom, cute as well.

Great coffee, great snacks, and great people in a beautifully executed shop. What's not to love! The only way to make It better would be to clone the owners and have it open 24/7. There are a couple food spots in town that have the potential to be this good, but the Flour House is the only one that puts all the pieces together.

Good coffee. Excellent bagels. Wonderful cookies. Decent scones. All are feakin homemade! Wtf! This place is amazing! If you're driving through or you are from around town, you MUST check them out. It's am mom and daughter amazeballs duo! I can't believe they're so far for me. I would totally kill for the toffee chocolate chip cookies and the jalapeños cheddar bagels. Brought home day old bagels and my family went nuts over them all. Go, eat, wifi for free and enjoy all the nice smelling toiletries in their water closet.

I stop in every few weeks to treat my office staff and myself to a treat. Everything they make is simply delicious. I haven't had a an item that I've regretted. Best breakfast/coffee spot in town.

I'm from San Francisco, CA and travel the world eating epicurean delights. My family is from Princeton and I was delighted to find a such a beautifully nice coffee house here. It is as good as those you find in Portland, Seattle, and SF... in the heartland of America. If you're a Starbucks drinker, this is a better option, and the best coffee and espresso in the area.

This place is very nice. The drinks are only surpassed by the amazing baked goods. I would highly recommend stopping in for a latte and a pastry. The staff are fantastic and make you feel welcome and relaxed.

When I was told to stop and check the place out, I honestly wasn't expecting much. Boy, was I surprised. This place is gorgeous inside. I remember it as the computer store (now next door) when it was all warm woods and clutter. Now it's open and bright, with white walls and books lining the shelves. So inviting; the kind of place I'd love spending tons of time in if it were nearby. Everything I tried was delicious. The banana walnut bagel in particular was fantastic, and the iced latte hit the spot on a hot afternoon. Service was incredibly friendly and helpful, and prices very reasonable. Definitely the kind of place I look forward to visiting again.

I love the fact that an amazing coffee shop has opened up on Main Street, I do. But, their hours are not great. In this day and age, a business needs to be open 7 days. This business has 'vacation hours'. Their business hours are ridiculous and unrealistic. When I come into town I expect a bakery/ coffee shop to be open on a Tuesday and a Wednesday. I planned a day trip with some girlfriends to experience everything Princeton has to offer. As a frustrated visitor, I will not be returning to this shop. I love visiting this quaint community and it was such a bummer this place is literally closed every time I come here. Are you even open? You must be new business owners, or else you would know better. Good luck.

Excellent coffee and bagels with two different types of cream cheese. Nice and friendly customer service.

Fabulous! Beautiful and tastefully renovated coffee house. Friendly and helpful employees, delicious bagels (had an excellent jalapeño and cheese bagel, best I've had since I lived in Austin), good coffee, and I love the books, bookcases and antiques in the decor. I will definitely return next time I'm in this area again.

Very nice atmosphere and baked goods! Coffee was strong and smooth tasting. Homemade bagels are a must-try for any bagel lovers. The berry cream cheese coffee cake was moist and not too sweet. The pumpkin cinnamon roll and caramel pecan bun were sticky and nicely spiced. We have the honor to talk to the owner and chef Terri, who told us she had no formal training but had been baking for her family all her life so she is just using her skills for her business, which probably explains the elegant but comfortable atmosphere. We were on a long road trip and this is truly a refreshing stop.

The people here are incredibly friendly, Elise being my favorite, and the flourless monster cookies are delicious!!! This is a great place to meet up with friends and have coffee and a little something before work. It has a great feel to it. Glad there is finally a place like this in Princeton :)

I'm mostly rating the coffee and the overall atmosphere/experience. I stopped briefly while passing through, was hoping Princeton had a nice coffee shop (so I wouldn't have to settle for a chain, for example), and the Flour House was just the ticket. Regarding the atmosphere/experience, I'd give it 5 stars - more if I could. Very pleasant, bright, stimulating, open, clean - the photos on their website as great as they are, don't do it justice. It seemed very invigorating and great for engaging with others, or a stimulating environment for your own tasks. Its a great example of the sort of environment I like to see in a coffee shop. The lady who took my order was very helpful and pleasant too. I ordered a latte and a chocolate almond biscotti. The latte was very good, though not outstanding, and on par for a coffee shop of this caliber. 4 stars for the latte. Biscotti was a very good complement to the latte - a very small bakery item (which is why I got it).
