Great place. Chips and salsa is on point. Atmosphere is excellent, clean. I got the chicken fajitas, and they were indeed phenomenal. Strong drinks that are reasonably priced. The waiter Brian is a legend. I will return.

Excellent food and wonderful service. The environment is friendly and inviting. We got chips and salsa as soon we came in. Our server was very attentive checking in with us many times throughout our meal. Our food was delivered quickly with large portions. The rice is my favorite of any Mexican restaurant in the area. Will be returning for more soon!

Authentic and they really do have GOOD tequila... in my case Margarita's with Don Julio. Just ask for the traditonal tacos. It is chicken, onions, and cilantro on a corn shell. Also, this is a great place to watch all the World Cup Soccer games. They have two flatscreens in the main area.

The food was great even though they mixed up my order. Also the service isn't too great.

Great food and friendly service. Peter took great care of us tonight. Fresh salsa! Best Mexican food in Town!

Excellent food, I have tried many menu items, each was excellent. Excellent service, prompt, courteous, and genuinely friendly. Excellent atmosphere, love the place, indoors or out, I would recommend La Siesta to anyone. Great food, great staff, great prices, and ice cold beer and delicious margaritas!

Very good and authentic Mexican at reasonable prices. One of only two places in Peoria you get American Airlines AAdvantage Dining miles, so definitely go here to rack up frequent flyer miles.

Would go back for two things... Margaritas and white cheese dip! The chili rellenos was also very good. I was impressed with the amount of food we got and it was only $28 for my husband and I. We even each had a margarita. I enjoyed the salsa but chips were not very restaurant style. Overall not the best Mexican we've had but if your looking for margaritas, go for it!

We really enjoy the food and atmosphere here! I don't think the food is exceptional as far as Mexican food goes, but I like it. The service has always been amazing and the food is satisfying.

Great tacos. Good salsa. The guacamole has way too much onion for me but I don't like raw onion. Didn't try the cocktails because I went for lunch. Cheap prices. Friendly quick service

First and last time customers. We had take out. I had the chimichanga meal (beef tips) and a friend had the enchiladas supreme meal that had 5 enchiladas (cheese, bean, beef tips, ground beef, chicken). We shared our food between each other. With that said... The food was cooked fine. Not over cooked. Not under cooked. Tasted fresh and not old or stale. The portions were very generous. However, my friend and I both agreed that all of it was VERY VERY bland. Barely a hint of seasoning of any kind. Not even salt. Which basically ruined all the positive things mentioned before hand. I know authentic Mexican food is different from what we Americans consider Mexican but I never experienced bland/tasteless Mexican food. The salsa that came with the complimentary chips had way more flavor than both meals combine, so much so that we both spooned the salsa over the food just to give it SOMETHING worth eating. I was even tempted to take a packet of Old El Paso seasoning mix and sprinkle it on the food! To put in better perspective, if we had known the food was going to taste this bland we would have rather spent our money at a Taco Bell. I can understand the occasional under cooked or over cooked item or one or even two items not being fresh. It happens. BUT when EVERYTHING is this bland in two meals then that tells me I should expect each meal to be bland if I go back. So I'm not going back.

I had the huevos con chorizo and I was surprised at how great it was. The flavors mixed well with the wonderful rice and I really enjoyed it. My mother liked her chimichanga as well.

Great food, friendly service. I live nearby and this has become our go-to Mexican place. Good margaritas and chili rellenos for Peoria. Try the Pollo Oaxaca you won't regret it!

One of my favorites! Very friendly staff, great food! Not the normal generic menu, many different entree's. And best of all the Margherita's! Frozen or on the rocks.

We enjoy eating here with large groups. Usually pretty good overall. Also you can save $5 on $25 with a coupon found on the back of Schnucks receipts!

Absolutely the best Mexican restaurant in the city of Peoria. The only issue I have is the taco meat has a weird flavor that would be better if toned down a bit. The servers are outstanding (yep you only have one very attentive server for your entire meal). The food is exceptional and the atmosphere is very family friendly. Highly recommended and I will be back and back and back!

Was very impressed with the service and all of the crew members were very friendly, just wasn't too fond of the menu selection

I had the chicken dish called pollo oxaca ( pronounced wo-haka) and it is by far the best mexican meal I have ever had anywhere! It eats like a fajita, very good service too

Awesome , great food, good price , huge portions authentic, we will be back, service was great, fast courteous

Some of the better Mexican food in the area. The street tacos were great and my husband had chicken with chorizo that was good too. The salsa was only so-so, but I was really annoyed when we walked in the server asked if we wanted queso or guac and we enthusiasctically said yes not realizing they were both upcharges, or just how expensive they were. Otherwise, this would be 4-stars.

Went here for lunch with a friend following a very trying summer school schedule. The food was delicious as always. The peach margaritas were perfect. However the wait staff left something to be desired. Very abrupt and rude. Didn't have any menu suggestions for my friend and although we told him we were expecting another he kept coming back to the table with an annoyed attitude asking about our order. They weren't busy. It was us and three other couples there. The food was served fast and hot. I love this place but they definitely need to work on better customer service.

Good, fast and hot! What else do you need, good margaritas ! Seated quickly, excellent waiter, inexpensive.

Ok so we ordered a burrito and there was a bunch of water on the plate along with you could not understand out waiter. Horrible place. Will never go back.

Been there twice and the experience has been consistent. Courteous wait staff. Excellently prepared and plentiful food and drinks. My recommendation is the Fajitas Locas. Muy delicioso! My only criticism is that the bathroom needs to be renovated. Plan on going again soon.
