Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

Good and consistently tasting food. Kids like it. The food is prepared fast, and the staff are friendly. Some items seem a bit expensive, though portions are a good size.

The reason why I'm giving this place such a terrible review is because they wanted to charge me for chopsticks. I already paid for my meal and I asked if I may have chopsticks and she said it would be a quarter. I didn't have a quarter or any cash and I told her that and she said oh well have a great day. Wow. First of all what kind of business charge for wooden chopsticks. I've spent so much money at this place and you're going to charge me a quarter for chopsticks?! This is how they're going to lose business...they're so cheap.

The most authentic Chinese food around! My go to take out place! Staff is friendly, huge portions, and food is cooked to order in their clean, open kitchen!

I'm a big fan of this restaurant because they don't hide anything. You see them cooking the food in the open kitchen, unlike other places. Everything is good, not the greatest. It's just good, consistent Chinese food from the suburbs that you can count on when you are craving it. The lady is also very pleasant to deal with. Give this place a try, my husband loves this place.

I like this place long time! Very good, quick and consistent. Best place in the area in my opinion. Stuff is made to order , if you want some heat just ask.

I've ordered from DD on multiple occasions and every time, their food is great. The sesame chicken, chicken fried rice, pot stickers, crab rangoon, mangolian beef are my preferred entrees. They are friendly and inexpensive. You basically receive two meals for the price of one. The quantity is a generous amount.

I'm not a Chinese food fan. The only reason I eat it is because my wife enjoys it now and then. Well when they opened Double Dragon we tried it. I actually enjoyed the food. The pot stickers and the fried noodles are great. I enjoy spicy food and I also found the food was not spicy enough. On the next visit I asked them to make it extra spicy and this did the trick. I'm in Chicago every day and eat in China town from time to time. I find this restaurant to be as good if not better than most on Wentworth Ave.!

Double Dragon is a new chinese carry out in the strip mall on La Grange Road and 131st. Menu is extensive with typical offerings of both small and large meals in the $6 to $10 range. Lunch specials with egg roll and fried rice are $5.50-5.75. As a cheap "test," we ordered the mongolian beef, chicken almond ding and sweet and sour pork ($18.00 for all 3!) . What a pleasant surprise! the beef was exceptionally tender, the chicken was nicely done and vegetables were crunchy. The pork was also good quality with no chewy gristle. Portions were generous and included a tasty fried rice, egg roll and a fortune cookie. We'll be back to try more, but with a clean visible kitchen and high quality ingredients and preparation they're worth a try. I would rate them well above the average in terms of the competition. At their low price point I rate them 5 stars. 4 stars if you take out the value proposition.

The menu is enormous. We've ordered quite a few different dinners and never been disappointed. This is one of the better Chinese places In the area. Availability of delivery is sporadic otherwise a great place.

Always a good meal! Compared to other Chinese food places in the area this one is the best. Super clean! Love you can see them cooking. I think it's a husband and wife ... And they are doing a good job! Mongolian beef is sooo good!

New to Palos Park and was glad to find a good Chinese take out close to home. So far their Chow Fun no sauce style has been excellent. Spicy chicken cashew was mouth watering (if you like spicy food.) Sorry to hear one yelper got sick from them... but so far their food has been excellent and kitchen looks clean from the counter. I like this place better than Hong Ming. Tried Sesame Chicken and didn't like the sauce they used on the dish. Ordered beef teriyaki skewer and it's excellent. It's a must have starter for us. We much prefer Chow Fun without vegetable. Just the thick noodles and meat, no sauce, works surprisingly well. Chicken wings and egg rolls are excellent. They do fried items well here.

This place is just for a carry out, not a dining place. We were so excited to try their food and ended up ordering a lot. The guy who took our order was very friendly and gave us some suggestions too. We took his advice and got shrimp cho fun and kung pao chicken along with pork fried rice, general tso's chicken. And we got crab rangoon on the house. The amount of food for what we paid was very generous. Everything was pretty good, a bit salty for my taste but it's just me. Fried rice had a star anise flavor so if you don't like that smell, be aware. I don't know if other fried rice have the same flavor though. My mom's friend owns a Chinese restaurant and I've been pampered with their food and I've been disappointed at other Chinese places. But this place was decent and probably will be the regular choice.

It's a rainy Spring Friday night and we decided to order from Double Dragon. It's brand new, clean and I love the fact that customers can see the kitchen area ( a clue of the cleanliness of the prep area and food). The food was simply fantastic. The Mongolian beef was one of the best ever - spicy and not sugary. The beef was as tender as can be and the sauce wasn't too heavy. The portion on a small entree was enough for two people or one very hungry person. We also ordered the shrimp chow fun. It was filled with shrimp, bok choy, brocolli and kale in a wonderful white sauce and tons of noodles on the bottom. It was fantastic and not too salty and not greasy whatsoever. The fried rice was excellent and love the fact that everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned without being salty, greasy or soggy veggies. The chicken and mixed vegetables was so tasty and we didn't have a bad entree whatsoever. The portions were priced right, service was quick and friendly and the food is definitely worth going to the Double Dragon. A great take out place in the Palos area! Finally!

The old bait and switch......beware of food poisoning I have been going to double dragon since it opened last year. I remember being very impressed with the quality of their food......however as time went on the quality has gotten worse. Yesterday I was denied delivery, went and picked my food up anyway, and then........today .......well I have spent most of it around a toilet!!! 1) they cut back on delivery drivers....delivery available only after 4? Get real if your spending 30-40$ on poor quality Chinese food it should at least be delivered with a smile. 2) quality over quantity my friend. This is Palos Park and now I'm officially embarrassed to have this restaurant in my city. If I wanted crappy food I would go next door to el gallo! Who ever owns this place I hope you read this. When running a business lowering your standards to fatten your bottom line is only a temporary fix. Get better quality food or you won't be around for long.

My family likes Double Dragon. There is something for everyone. That is really nice when everyone has different tastes, food allergies and one is a vegetarian. They make my veggie chow fun with no soy sauce and no oyster sauce and that is really nice. For my vegetarian daughter, they make her veggie lo mein with no oyster sauce. My honey likes the chicken with mixed vegetables and crab rangoon. He also likes their egg rolls and my meat eating daughter likes them too. They are always happy to accommodate to our needs- with no snark or confusion. There food is good and consistent. It isn't the best Chinese food I've had but it isn't the worst by far. That they are willing to put up with our order is awesome. It is the best in our area and close to our home. It is always ready quickly, always correct, hot and fresh veggies. The woman who is usually answering phones and working the front is always friendly and appreciative of us ordering from her restaurant. There are only a few tables, most folks do take out but you could eat there.

I have always enjoyed the convenience of Double Dragon's location in relation to my house. Plus, their food seemed to be comparable to the other Chinese places in the area from which I've ordered. That was...until the last time. It was so good I even had to call them back to congratulate them. Hot and sour soup was just the right blend of spicy broth and ingredients. Eggrolls were the flakiest I've ever had and tasted as fresh as a brand new bag of skittles. My wife loves shrimp fried rice but could never find any place that thrilled her until that night. Even the kids ate some, and they usually just stick to the comforts of their steamed white. Lastly, the shrimp kow exploded with larger shrimp than I've had in some shrimp cocktails. It wasn't soupy and everything was blended together so it tasted like a full dish rather than a sum of parts. It's so nice to have the closest chinese food restaurant also be the best in the area.

This place serves up a solid meal and this take out restaurant is almost walking distance from my home.It is not the greatest Chinese take out I have ever feasted upon. But it was tasty and lasted me for two meals and it didn't break my bank. Plus they were pretty friendly here also I will be getting back here the next time I get the crave.

I was so psyched about Double Dragon after reading the Yelp reviews. Could it be that we finally have good Chinese take-out in SW suburbia? No, no we do not. Sadly, my Mongolian Beef was not at all spicy. It was very barbeque-y and super-salty. The crab appetizer they sent was fine, the pork fried rice was tasty and seemed fresh. I could not palate my egg rolls at all. Maybe I will try Double Dragon again, maybe not. I would rather have a smaller portion of very good food rather than a large portion of very bland food.
