Was just here last Wednesday, 8-8-12, and as I work night shift and sleep all day, this was by far the best Breakfast of Champions I've had in a long time. I think the Olympians would do best to take note for their future endeavors. Nachos and Craft Beer = A Happy, and somewhat tipsy, Kasey :D The Waldorf salad was, as is always, amazing. But, you need a good starter, so the half plate of Nachos was MORE than plenty for me and my girlfriend... yet we still managed to polish off the whole thing. When the bartender asked if we wanted a full serving, then proceeded to hold his arms out as if to show us how big and measured about 4 feet long, we decided maybe not this time, or at least we weren't drunk enough yet. A half serving, definitely more than plenty. I was full, and yet somehow managed to eat more... hmmm... There was definitely beer involved.. Good thing too! I had one of their summer seasonals, which was pretty tasty. Just so I had something different from my usual IPA, Double IPA, or anything with an IPA tag on it..... But then for my second beer I had to order the house IPA, go figure! I did almost cry though when the bartender went to pour me a Double Down IPA, and then realized they had just been tapped-out!?!?! NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooo :'(............. "regular IPA?" *sniff*.... "Yeah, I guess that'll do. That'll do pig, that'll do..." Still delicious! So I was very O-KAY with my regular IPA after a heart-elating sip of delicious nectar of the Gods... and especially by the bottom of the glass. The Bartenders, both dudes, pretty awesome! Both were helping each other out, and making sure all of our beer needs and refills were meet before we were parched for too long! I hate going somewhere, emptying your glass, having to show the bartender, Hey, I'm all out, want another tip or no? These dudes were all over it! As always, never disappointed with a trip to the Bottom of the Rock. If I were ever at a point in my life where I "hit" Rock Bottom, I think I'd be pretty ok as long as they still have their IPA :)

They are serious about their beer and the service at the bar is especially good . This place has some of the best burgers around!

The nachos are on a big wood slab and are amazing! Soft pretzels and calamari are good too. Don't get the spicy beer, sounds cool but hard to drink a whole glass. Love the orland park ale but also that there is a new brew every month!!!

We sat outside on the patio on a beautiful Friday night. After seeing the movie Bruno, none of us were too terribly hungry since visions of Sasha Baron Cohen's "goods" were still in our roaming around in our heads Anywho, the beer was (again) the highlight of the meal here. Food was okay. I have never had anything here that blew me away or had me wanting to come back. I usually come back for the beer, or out of convenience of location. Thank goodness we were sitting outside where they couldn't vacuum the floor while we were eating, for once.

I enjoy a good beer, ok I enjoy MANY a good beer, and to an extent I'd like to consider myself a beer snob, so for a while now I have avoided going to this "chain" cause I like to find the local tap rooms and considered this place to be TOO COMMERCIAL ( ya I'm hip, I'm cool, I'm wow almost 31 ) , but considering you can find probably about 7 of these places in every state it never really dawned on me that at one time this "chain" was probably a very small craft brewery and through its great flavor and fine dining experiences earned the right to expand. So I ate my pride (and did no research.. I like the sad story I made up for the history and trying to make it in america) and just went in one night the wife and were looking for a patio to sit at the first sunny day this year. ROCK BOTTOM did not disappoint I sampled a nice Flight of their choice beers and was impressed by a few, but the real wonderful thing was the FOOD, especial the Steak tacos... mmm mmm mmm this appetizer alone set off a 4 day taco fest the wife and I are still talking about going back and ordering two plates of them. In fact I just might go on the way home cause writing about them has me wishing I was there.

Food is average. It isn't great but it isn't bad. I would be happy eating there a lot but I would not ever try to WOW anyone there. The service is great. I had a good experience at the front desk and also our server was excellent. Their beer selection is only average. There are much better places for a wider selection. Parking is a mess but that is because the place is packed. I guess that is a good thing. This place will not WOW you but it is vibrant, the food quality is good, and the service is above average. That is a signature for success. I wish the food was slightly better but I wasn't complaining.

The cuisine is nice, good, better than average, tasty, fulfilling, satisfying. The grill chicken Caesar salad rocks along with pub burger. BUT the real reason you come here is for the beer. Monthly tappings of some awesome beers...I like to call them the tears of God. It's that good! On any day you could get the standard 'Eric the Red', seasonal wheat, or about 6 other beers. Monthly tappings include various IPA's, ESB's, a double-bock this month, cask beers, and so much more. Quality food...and even better beers!

AMAZING!!!! I use to come to Rock Bottom alllllllll the time, and sadly just dont make it out there that much. I was going to visit some friends on a Friday Night and I just knew we had to get some Rock Bottom craft beer and their awesome food. I had a great experience from start to finish with the servers and food at rock bottom. I remembered how crowded this place gets on the weekends so i decided to call ahead and see if they would take a reservation, by the time I called they had stopped taking reservations for the night BUT they did take call ahead wait list.....just call a half hour before you get there(if its after 6pm) and they will put your name on a table list....so pretty much a reservation. When we walked in there we had a table within a few mins. NICE!!! AND they didnt make us wait til our whole party got there, and sat just the three of us right away(cant stand when places do that) Our waiter came right over and took our drink order, and I was happy to hear that the Line Drive Lager was back!! I handed him my Mug Club card and out came my huge beer. My one friend has not liked a craft beer she has tasted, but she loved the Line Drive Lager!!! We then placed our food order, I got the mac and cheese with chicken, and it came with a salad....uumm eeww and I asked if I could get a cup of their beer cheese soup instead and he said no problem. The beer cheese soup is one of the best I've ever had, it didnt just taste like a cup of melted cheese that your almost trying to chew down....but actual soup!! Then my food came out, it was just how I had remembered, a huge bowl of mac and cheese with big chunks of chicken topped with bread crumbs.....if your going with someone else i recommend to spilt it, you both will have plenty of food!! After dinner and our waiter Kevin was nice enough to box all our leftovers for us we ordered a brownie for my friends birthday, it came out and we were super sad cause the brownie had nuts in it and she is allergic to them.....it was our fault because we didnt read the menu....when our waiter came back we asked if we could have another dessert because she couldnt eat the brownie, but to leave it and we will share it and just to put in on the bill. So in no time flat he had this amaing coffee type sundae...OMG AMAZING!!! after 5 people finished off two desserts in record time he brought the bills all seperate for us.....THANK YOU KEVIN!!!! We all asked who got the desserts...no one did, he didnt charge us for either, even though WE messed up on the first one. That was so amazing and we did not expect it. Also, he did not charge me for changing my salad into a cheese soup. Very classy Rock Bottom, this is why I will be coming back soon!!!

I came in and was greeted by a blonde woman who was on the phone and she welcomed me to restaurant and told her just one in the party. She looked like she didn't understand so I said it again and then I was seated. After three minutes of waiting the server Brad came to the table and took my drink order. He brought them and left even though I was ready to order. He didn't even bother to ask if I was ready or not. I ordered the garlic chicken and it was very good - the server didn't change the veggie as I had wanted and when they did bring it out it was horrible. If you want to eat here then lower your standards and drink and you won't care what they are serving you. Maybe this was a wrong place for me since I am not a beer drinker and even the desserts had beer or ale in them. Nothing sounded good at all.

I usually know exactly what to expect when I eat at these types of places - it is called Rock Bottom even. Standards are gonna be low: 1) Really average, sometimes delicious, sometimes atrocious food - like my lunch of cobb salad on a landfill of iceberg lettuce, suspectly Oscar Meyerish "turkey", weirdly grizzly bacon and avocado and gorgonzola and creamy dressing. Yup, I ate almost every single bite, too. It was definitely O.K. 2) And it will all be just grossly overpriced - like some $10 nachos my party insisted on and the fact that my landfill salad was like $12. Again, it's all to be expected. But 3) Straight trickery - was a little more unexpected: My big kid ordered a sandwich with a side of macaroni and cheese. My little kid ordered macaroni and cheese with a side of fries off of the kids menu ( ...4) Nothing will be nutritionally sound....). The macaroni and cheeses they got were both totally different - like entirely different foods: -Big kid got corkscrew noodles with a creamy, almost real cheese flavored sauce with bread crumbs and herbs. -Little kid got straight up Kraft blue box - screaming orange, those weird little straight noodles. For real? Bitch, please. And for $6? Um, no. I can sometimes see a point and a need for these big chain restaurants, but having them go out of their way to give little kids even worse shitty food than their usual shitty food that they're already selling everyone else is just too all-around shitty for me. PS - 5) Servers working really hard for waay not enough money - our server was harried, but totally fine and helpful.

I'm reading some really nasty reviews of this BREWERY(It is what it is, first and foremost). They brew their beer at this very location, they have an experienced Brewmaster on staff, and if you want to go for a tour of the actual brewery, all you need do is ask your waiter/waitress. I had a classic hamburger with roasted mushrooms. The burger was very big, the bun was fresh, and the fries were delicious. I'm sure that the majority of people in the Orland Park area have no grasp on what kind of establishment this is, but the food comes second to the actual brew they offer, and even then, the food is still great. The hamburger was most definitely freshly made, not frozen, my waiter was excellent, friendly, and if you wanna try their most popular brews out, they offer seven of them in 4 oz glasses altogether for $4.75. A good deal and an opportunity to expand your taste in beers beyond your typical light beer hogwash. Although you can bring children here and have them taken care of in terms of food, be intelligent and realize, for the second time, that this is a brewery. This may be a chain, but they actually brew the beer inside the store. That's what you should come here for. The fine brews offered. But still, the food is well cooked, keep that also in mind.

My girlfriends and I came in here just for drinks and the atmosphere was fine, a little bit older and more "couplely", which was fine, just an observation. We ordered nachos: good Service was a bit slow but she was very nice.

Rock Bottom Brewery should find a way to get the word brewery to standout more because that is what it is. RB is a chain restaurant which I really tend to avoid, let alone review, but they have one thing that sets them apart from the TGI Fridays and the rest and that's freedom. Each location has their own brewmaster and have the ability to make a few extra special beers a month. They have a set playbook of food and beer that they all must make but the fact that they can get creative with a few brews then I give them lots of credit. It is possible to review each location based on the beer but since they change the specials every month then I say that if you like to try craft beer but don't know where to start then this might be the best first step and the best all around for the veterans as well.

After a long wait to be seated at the new Cheesecake Factory. We sat an extra 30-40 minutes after drinks and appetizer order was taken, without being served water, bread, nothing! We walked out after running out of patience. Driving down LaGrange Rd, we pulled into Rock Bottom Restaurant. Waited 7-10 minutes to be seated, water was served almost immediately, drink and appetizer order taken, server (Eileen) was very pleasant and in such a great mood. She took the time to explain the different kinds of beers served there because they're brewed there, she brought my 6 year old crayons and activity paper, she welcomed us after asking was it our first time there, and the atmosphere was just great overall. We ordered the brewery platter which was served quickly along with our drinks. The food on that platter was delicious and it taste so fresh! My drink was so good (Berry Sangria). My husband taste two different beers and he enjoyed them. For kids, they bring out the dough, pasta sauce, shredded cheese, and meat of your choice and allow the child to make his/her own pizza! How fun is that to keep the kids busy. She placed it in the oven and ta-da, she served the pizza in about 15 minutes. My son was so excited! Just the thought that he did it himself. An extra star for that Rock Bottom! The buffalo wings are great! Even though they ran out of them, she compensated us. We truly enjoyed everything that was served and also the happy server. She screwed up the bill at the end but that didn't put a damper on our experience. It happens....Thank you Rock Bottom! We will return soon!

1st trip here was great: good food, good service. Looking for a repeat, we went back within two weeks. Terrible experience! Ordered te cheese pizza for the kiddie, they brought out pepperoni (it's ok we all make mistakes) was blamed for the mistake by the server! Brought out the cheese pizza shortly, halfway thru my daughter eating it she discovers pepperoni slices wedged on each cut of the slices. Do the math: they picked the pepperoni off the first pizza and brought it back out. This violates all sorts of allergen and food industry regulations. No concern for the customer. Terrible customer service even after this incident. Will not be returning.

Came here for dinner last night. Hostess gave us a 1:15:00 wait time so we said "sure" and headed to the bar area (which is open seating). The guy got the beer that was on special which tasted like a watered-down IPA to me, and I got the "Beerlini" which is a bellini made with their seasonal wheat beer instead of champagne. It was tasty! Lucky for me, their seasonal happened to be a fruity, Summer Shandy-ish beer which I had a glass of, straight-up, after the beer cocktail. I forget what it was called, but it had a surprisingly strong banana taste. Anyway, we were seated after a half-hour. I dunno why the hostess' prediction was so off, but they should be careful about that or risk running customers off to the Houlihan's across the street (or any of the other billion beer-&-burger joints in the area). For dinner, I got the patty melt with a turkey patty. The turkey burger was definitely yummy, but the patty melt is made without rye bread or caramelized onions. I was like.. whaat? Instead, you get onion straws and some kind of a caraway seed infused sauce (?) on supposedly homemade bread that was more stale than anything. I eventually gave up on the bread and just ate the patty with the onions. If you are a patty melt enthusiast as I am, don't bother with Rock Bottoms' version. According to my guy, the Bourbonzola burger was yummy. Service good. They play such decent music in there too, which is a plus. Next time I might just go for the beer and appetizers.

This used to be a good chain when brew masters had control of what they brewed. this has changed and now its all corporate standards that come out of the tap. So instead of interesting micro-brews you get beer that geared towards the general crowd. More volume equates to more cash. This is not a place to watch sports. The staff is less than accommodating if you want to watch an off game on just one of the tvs. One time we got rejected so had to leave and go somewhere else. The food is just overpriced bar food. I think the quality has gone down over the years. If you want a clean wannabe yuppie place then this is it for you. If you are a true beer lover, Things have change and you now need to look elsewhere. This place is packed because its "TRENDY" Its not a bad place but not what the company used to be.

Been eating at this location since it opened a few years ago, also been to the Grand Ave location, Lombard & Indianapolis, IN. Its what you'd expect a chain brewhouse and the beer was always good but it seems they made some significant changes and no longer is a Line Drive Light offered, its a Kolsch. Which is a slightly bitter beer I couldn't finish. Not smooth like its predecessor. The nacho appetizer was great but the pulled pork sandwich didn't have eough sauce and got dry. Maybe just an off night and it is a chain, but for the prices, it needs to be better.

Orland Park needs another beer and steak joint as badly as Saw needs another sequel. As such, my standards were pretty low going in to this sausage fest attraction. I was unimpressed. I'm also sure that they need to keep the lights as dim as they are so that you don't realize the inside is actually a denny's with a bar area. I asked for ice water with lemon. Pretty basic I thought, but was given water, no ice, no lemon. Ok fine. The beer tasted all right to me, but to the delight of my partner, found it amazing and chugged it down in three successive "sips". After coming up for air, he gladly went on to conquer the steak which he found tender, but insufficient. Portions were small, and since the inside is frigid, you have to eat quickly in order to enjoy any of it. I ordered the flatbread chicken wrap off of their pretty basic menu. However, even that seemed to be catered to men. All chicken and bacon, no taste, no seasoning, minimal condiments. So bland you need to get drunk to even get the munchies to eat it. Verdict: come here to humor the bf, but tell him he owes you one.

Terrific beers...that's the reason to go. Always something new brewing, or just go with the house standards. You can ask for samples if you're not sure what to order, and the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable, at least those who serve in the bar area (seat yourself). The food is very good, especially the burgers. I also recommend the chicken fried chicken, brewers cobb salad, and the chicken enchiladas. Granted, the food is pretty salty, but you can ask them to go easy.

Burgers were...just OK. Well cooked (i.e., even color throughout & a little juicy) and average quality (i.e., not much gristle), but not very flavorful.

I broke down and returned to give Rock Bottom another shot. And ya know what, they weren't too bad. We sat outside this time, as it was a nice warm July evening. I had the Santa Fe Chicken Salad. It was actually quite yummy. The beer was good and especially thirst quenching on a somewhat humid evening. The service was okay. Apparently our server was also the bartender and the other servers (servicing the tables right next to us) had no knowledge of who was to be covering our table when we hadn't seen him in a while. I thought that to be pretty flaky but it didn't consume the meal so I'll let it slide this time.

I wasn't entirely expecting too much when we came here. I was down in Orland visiting my parents and the choice of restaurant was between Rock Bottom and my beloved local Harrison's. But it was decided that we'd hit Rock Bottom (yay, obvious puns!) and I guess I just immediately operated under the impression it was going to be a watered-down chain version of that local treasure. I was wrong. Sure, it wasn't quite as good as the excellent Harrison's, but that's not to say it still wasn't very good . The food was pretty great. We started with nachos, which were all around very tasty. I appreciated the fact they were served on a really wide plank sort of thing so the chips were only a layer or two deep which meant they didn't get soggy or broken under the weight of those on top. My actual meal was shortribs on a bed of white cheddar mashed potatoes. The ribs just fell apart and melted in my mouth and the mashed potatoes were creamy and delicious. My wife enjoyed her mahi tacos (her fondness for fish tacos is becoming a running joke in my family) and my dad got a really tasty fried chicken breast I might have gotten myself if we hadn't had fried chicken the night before. I thought the coolest thing, though, was the kid's menu. The LB ordered a "make-your-own" pizza. I assumed it meant he got to pick the specific toppings h e wanted on it. It actually meant he got to make it. Right around the time the appetizers were brought out, the server brought out a circle of dough, a small cup of sauce, and a dish of cheese, and the Z-Man got to go crazy actually putting it together. Then the server came back, popped it in the oven, and it came out nice and cooked with the rest of our food. I thought that was an awesome way to keep kids entertained while waiting for the grown-up's food. It was especially funny considering that my wife and I had just participated in a pizza-making competition a couple days earlier at a yelp event, so we had tips for him. It took a while for the server to finally get to our table, but once he did he was friendly and quick. We'll likely come back (maybe not this one, but there's one close to us in Lombard) and try out their beers. If they're half as good as the home-made root beer, they should be pretty awesome. Overall, chain restaurants get a bad rap (even from me, apparently) but this one has good quality and a little bit more of a personal feel.

The food wasn't hot, both literally and figuratively. But that's not why I'm throwing two stars at these jokers. What the hell is up with running the vacuum all over the place and cleaning the floor while people are eating? I was here at 8PM, far from closing time. Wait until people are gone, or at least not in the same section, before cleaning. I won't come back here at all, ever. If the food wowed me, I could be swayed. But since it was crap, I'll just eat at home where I know I can't be vacuuming and eating simultaneously.

This review covers all Rock Bottom's that I have eaten at. The service is usually fine, the atmosphere is decent, but the food just is not very good. With so many options in the area, there is no reason you should ever end up here.

I had their nut brown ale and a salad for a quick lunch. The beer itself wasn't the greatest, and since this place is 'well known' for their brews, I am quite disappointed with it. The salad was large, as well it should be for the 10.95 price tag. It was filled with good greens and some plums in there and a hint of olive oil. The salad was delicious and will recommend it to anyone, though, next time I will order it with more cheese. You can order at the bar, eat under the 6 televisions on one side and still be able to hold and eavesdrop on other people's conversations at Noon. Though lightly crowded we were seated immediately and was given our food within 5 minutes, so they are prepared for the Lunch Rush or my food was sitting out for a bit...either or, a definite candidate for re-visit.

This place is absolutely mediocre at best. I have no idea how the parking lot is packed every weekend. Their beers are bland and unimpressive, and the food isn't bad, but it's certainly overpriced. Service is alright, and they are able to answer your questions about the beers if you're so inclined to ask. What the restaurant lacks in beer + reasonable foods, it does make up for in atmosphere. I don't know about you, but that alone just isn't enough for me to keep going back. I'll stick with Harrison's just down the street.

Monday seems like it's the only time you can have a quiet lunch. I had shrimp and lobster tacos which was reasonably priced. We got our food rather quickly. The food is always fresh both here and Chicago location!

It's a fun place to visit every once in awhile, if you don't mind fighting the constant crowds on Friday and Saturday night. Unless we can get here by 6 pm we mostly don't bother - this is not worth waiting an hour for a table. In fact there really isn't anything in Orland Park worth waiting an hour for a table - just remember if you're open to Indian you can always get seated immediately at Taj Mahal. I am getting bored by the faux microbrewery concept, but judging from the hordes who regularly descend upon this establishment, most other folks in this area cannot get enough of beer brewed in a chain restaurant. In this category I think Flossmoor Station in Homewood is far better, and a more genuine, locally owned place. The food and drink are okay so I have to give this 3 stars.

This is a favorite place among my friends. We go there for the beer and to watch the games. The food is good too, though. The happy-hour appetizers are a good deal, $5 for anything on the menu. And they have good drink specials throughout the week. Join the Mug Club for free and every beer you order comes in a mug rather than pint glass. This is definitely at the top of my list of places to go for a drink with the guys.

Burgers are good and the brews are decent. I would rather go to Cooper's Hawk than Rock Bottom, but it's whether you want to drive through Orland Park traffic or just stick it out. The rest of the menu is pretty average. Food is reasonably tasty. Service is good but it can get busy at times.

Decided to combine a trip to the mall with some beer drinking. Tried to get in here for dinner once and it was packed (I wont wait an hour to eat anywhere!) so tried at 2:00 p.m. Got right in to the bar, which is all nonsmoking (yeah). Bar has lots of booths and tables, as well as a large bar with the requisite TVs everywhere. Nice decor, all woodsy and arts and crafty looking - wheat details in woodwork were a nice touch. Started with the premium sampler - 12 different beers - all brewed there. No sooner had the waitress brought the array of cute little beers than the brewmaster stopped by and introduced himself and gave us a personal tour through his brews. Iain Wilson, who hails from Scotland, is very cool and is totally into his beer! He is well informed and very interesting to talk to. I learned a lot about how different beers are brewed. Don't remember everything we tried but the highlights for me were the wheat beer, white chocolate beer (yum) and seasonal pumpkin ale. (Got a growler of that to go). My husband likes stronger beers and liked the hop bomb IPA best. Oh, the food. It was pretty good, but not a reason to go there, imo, if you're not a beer drinker. We had some pretty tasty chili made with flank steak, ahi sandwich was pretty good, run of the mill turkey wrap and some asparagus that was overcooked. Guess I should have stuck with beer and their huge pretzels (too full of beer to try them this time). They have a Mug Club, free to join, that gets you an extra 2oz of beer each time you order, free beers at tastings, and other stuff. Will definitely go back to try more of Iain's brews!!

Rock Bottom's new location in Orland Park is usually packed on week-nights so get there early. I reccomend the battered salmon and chips (actually fries). I drink the seasonal wheat beer when I'm there because their other beers are quite strong (as most micro-brew places are). I really can't say much else but it's a decent place for a beer and a bite. Nothing extraordinary though.

This place has nothing going for it really. I'm not sure why it gets so crowded. I went there for a small birthday dinner with the family. The waitress was nice and pleasant to talk to. The food and drinks came in decent time. But, the quality of everything was nothing special. The prices were high. And, the waitress was bringing the wrong drinks, and even forgot some drinks. There is no reason for me to go back.

Great atmosphere inside - swanky yet rustic at the same time. I brought the kids with me on a Monday because it's kids eat free night. Lots of people sitting outside with beer I wanted to try, but did not because I had the kids with me. The kids menu offers "Make Your Own Pizza", which is another reason I went there. The kids got to pile their own sauce and cheese and pepperoni on before the kitchen cooked it. I tasted the pizza and it was so good I think I will order a pizza for myself next time from the adult menu. The sauce had a wine/beer taste to it, which I don't usually like, but tasted delicious with their crust. I ordered a steak, which was pretty darn good - not the best, but I would order it again. It came with white cheddar mashed potatoes and fresh green beans sprinkled with parmesan. The potatoes grew on me the more I ate them. The menu had a lot of variety (enchiladas, mac and cheese, steak, sandwiches, pasta), which is important to me. The table next to me decided to order dessert, and they picked carrot cake. Their waitress said it was "really big." She wasn't kidding. This was a 2-layer frosted carrot cake that stood about 8 inches tall and 5 inches wide, and that was just one serving! Wow! Talk about getting your money's worth. All the plates of food I saw being served to other tables had large portions of food, which is important to me also. Even the glasses they serve their soda in are huge. This place is definitely worth the money. I didn't have to wait long for my order to be taken, or for my food to get to the table, even though the place was pretty much packed. Then again, it was Monday at 7:00 pm. The point is, I got served quickly when it was busy. The bar area did look inviting, and it seems like they had outside tables on 2 sides of the building, both front and back. I would get together with adults next time I go.

It's been a long time since I went to a restaurant where every single item was disgusting. First drinks: The mojito tasted like toothpaste and then I got some kind of mixed drink with gin, sierra mist, and strawberries.... which was so disgusting that I took a few sips and left the rest. Then I got a "Santa fe ranch chicken salad"... sounded great on the menu but was actually a full plate of lettuce, 3 pieces of cold "fried" chicken, and a sprinkle of random other bits that probably came from cans, and one slice of avocado. Stupid. My boyfriend had chicken flautas which were also disappointing. The waiter seemed like he was born yesterday since after seeing we didn't touch our food or drinks he asked, "Do you want dessert".... hell no. After taking a couple of sips of our nasty drinks, leaving my full plate of lettuce on a plate, and my boyfriend eating less than half of his... we left as hungry as we came. Bullshit customer service, and bullshit food. It should be a crime to serve this garbage.

There's nothing different about this location than the one downtown... The food is sooooo bland. I even tried everyone's leftovers and thought it was so bland; therefore, it couldn't be just my plate. I won't eat here ever again.

We went here for dinner prior to a movie. I have to say, we had a fabulous waiter--I believe his name was Eric. It was getting close to the start of the show and he checked on our food to see how much longer we would have to wait. He went out of his way to check if the bloody mary's contained worcestershire sauce, which it did. I had the bbq chicken salad which was fine but not fab. The fourth star is most definitely for our waiter.

The food was just ok. I had the chicken quesadillas. Tasty but nothing that I have to have again. My husband had the smoking jalapeño sirloin that was missing the jalapeños. It wasn't bad but he's had better. The drinks or the other hand were fantastic! I had the Sangria Rojo and hubby had the Pomberry Cosmo. Yummers! Big THANK YOU to the manager Renee. We were using a coupon from Survey mini that gave us a free appetizer. She came to the table and said that they don't honor them but she would for us because obviously we didn't know. That was pretty awesome. All in all, for drinks and bar food, it's pretty good.

This is never my first choice when meeting people out. Sometimes it's just the most convenient though. The staff is always pretty friendly and seating in the bar area is usually open when I go. I've never been a fan of their beer. I stick to the guest drafts. The food can be hit or miss too. The pizza we ordered last time was good. The appetizers range from gross to really good. As long as you know which things are good to avoid here you are usually good. The staff tends to give pretty good recommendations.

A family favorite for many reasons. My children enjoy being able to prepare their own pizza from the kids menu. The nachos are a great start and according to my children, RB has the BEST nachos. I agree!! The salads, burgers, and tacos...yes even tacos are awesome. Today, we were blessed to be served by one of the best servers to ever serve our family. Cristina was great! She ensured my children were satisfied with their pizza preparation. Also, she consistently stopped by our table to inquire on refills. We are a family of 7. She did not miss a beat in-spite of having to serve our large booth. Cristina's pleasant demeanor and genuine desire to ensure we enjoyed our dinner was the perfect combination of quality meals and exceptional service.

Unfriendly service at the bar. No food menu offered, no eye contact from the bar tender that served me one beer. Apparently too busy to be interrupted to entertain my request for a food menu. Got the check from the other bar tender. The IPA - dragon something or other - tasted like a blend between an IPA, a stout and a Scotch Ale. Not a serious contender for the prices. Not recommended.

Our family stopped here after a night of shopping at the mall. Rock Bottom is one of many chain restaurants in the Land of Chains known as Orland Park. We started out with ball park pretzels and wings. Both were good. I had a glass of the construction pale ale. It was solid. For dinner, I had the citrus grilled chicken sandwich with the salad. The sandwich was good but I did not taste much citrus. Wife and eldest daughter had the grilled chicken with avocado. My daughter had the burger and my son had the make your own pizza. Everyone liked the food. Our server did a good job. Food came out a little slow and the restaurant part was not that busy but the bar was. It was A-ok.

This place is extremely good. They have a pretty wide range of beers and I enjoyed all of the ones in my flight. We started with the crab and artichoke dip which was amazing. My fiance ordered crab and lobster tacos and raved about them. I went with the crab and lobster enchiladas which were really good I just wish I had more green chili cream sauce. Not a huge deal. Both came with beans and rice that were much better than most. My mom got the bison steak and it was so good she said she will not order a steak anywhere else ever again. It's a busy place but even on a Saturday night at peak hours we only had to wait 20 minutes. Very high on my list

I was excited to try this place after I had tried the mac n cheese at the Taste of Orland and thought it was amazing. I went with my two young kids and my husband. I was first thrown off by the hostess who was wearing tights as pants! Yes, she had I nice figure but at 4pm with my kids I felt that was completely inappropriate! I didn't even care that my husband got a soft peep show, I was just pissed that my kids had to see her ass because it was straight in their line of sight. Now to the food: we ordered a little bit of everything including some appetizers. The jalapeño pretzel was amazing and that's were it stopped. I did not order the mac n cheese because I was excited to try other things. Well, I went to a bar and was served bar food. It was all so bad. Safe to say, we will never return.

If you are looking for an upbeat sportsbar, this is it. The food is mediocre at best. I've tried plenty of dishes and they all taste like food chain bar food. Plenty of better options as far as food is concerned. Definitely try their beers. If your not sure which beer is good for you, order the beer flight.

I have returned after sometime. The place was packed but we were hungry. I had my standard dark beer cannot remember the name but it was good. I went for the shrimp and lobster tacos. They came wrapped in crispy shell wrapped in a soft shell. Pretty tasty and quite filling. I liked. When I seen what was placed in front of my friend. I thought what is that? He ordered a club with fries. This was one of the saddest things I have seen. The club sandwich was tiny. Then I noticed the fries. What the hell, he had 14 french fries on his plate. Seriously you cannot just put 14 fries on a plate. Someone was counting,l you get more food in a happy meal. Service was slow, food well mine was okay. Just not a fan.

Well, it only took 63 days to have the crappiest meal of the year. This was our second choice and we hadn't been here in years. I wanted to sit in the bar, but it was bingo night? So I asked for a booth in the dining room. And yes, I am getting a LOT tired of being profiled. We were brought to the back of the restaurant in front of the kitchen and asked if this was alright. NO actually. I walked to the front by the windows where there were 5 booths open. I'm am quite sure that at 7 on a Wednesday night and being 17 degrees that some random movie star would make a much better choice by going somewhere else. I sat and watched all the food go by. Huge portions were on my hit list. We had two drinks as were waited and it seemed like a long time for the amount of people in the restaurant. When I did get my Brewers club, I had to take a picture. I knew that know one would believe me that I only got 14 fries. I counted because the sandwich looked like it was on an island. They were nice and soggy though. The white bread club fried on an oily grill was just warm and flavorless. The worst club I have ever had. And before I get the crap of, I ordered the wrong thing. If it's on the menu, then you better know how to prepare it. Otherwise, take it off. 8 years between visits and I will not be back in 8 more. I can reassure you.

I went here for my birthday dinner this past saturday and I couldn't have been more excited. I've always seen this place but never really thought about coming here. I finally wanted to go somewhere different and this was the perfect place! We got seated right away which was cool for a Saturday night around 8:30. We had plenty amount of time to look over the drinks. My boyfriend got the fallen angel and I got a strawberry margarita. They were delicious. I was hoping the margarita was in slushie form though, it was served with ice instead. Another thing I didn't like was the chunks of strawberry I was getting. I'm not a fan of pieces of the fruit in my drinks. My boyfriend ordered the Tuscan chicken pasta. It was really good. Chicken was delicious with the balsamic. I ordered the Cajun pasta. Oh. My. Goodness. Delicious. It had sausage, shrimp, and chicken. It was really spicy but oh so good. I loved every minute of it. We were thinking about dessert but we got way too full. As far as the wait staff, they were very nice. We had a guy (not our waitress) bring the food out and was super kind. And we even asked the hostess for assistance and she was awesome. Our waitress seemed really busy, but she was so cool and helped us decide our drinks and was very welcoming since it was our first time. I will definitely be back. Loved everything about this place.

Yesterday was a perfect day. The sun was shining, there was little wind and no cloud in sight. We knew that these perfect days rarely occur in Illinois, so we needed to find a place with a patio so we could sit outside. We decided to take full advantage of the weather, so we put on our shades, hopped in the car, opened the sun roof and headed to Orland. Rock Bottom was packed but surprisingly, we were the only ones that chose to sit outside. Being the only ones sitting outside can lead to your waitress forgetting about you, but she still remembered us enough to make the service okay-- if that makes any sense. Our waitress was really nice and signed us up for their rewards program, so you get points each time you visit. The food was also phenomenal. They have less menu choices then most brew pubs that we've been to lately, but everything was so good so I'd prefer them to focus on a few dishes, then have a lot of stuff that sucks. My favorite was the carne asada taco appetizer, which I'm craving again today. We also ordered a beer sampler for $6. Although it wasn't the best craft beer I've ever had, it was cheap and the perfect ending to an absolutely perfect day.

Now - let me be clear that I'm a patient person, but when the waitress makes eye contact with me and asks the table next to me if they want a drink - they say no and ask for a check- she comes back brings check - come back gives them their change- all while making eye contact with me - then goes to the back gets ice for the bar. Then finally a group of four sat down next to me and before they are all seated she comes over and brings them menu. All without me being offered a drink. I walked out, will not return. Many good places to choose from in this area. GW

Went on Wednesday night so the restaurant was not full. They were many tables available. But it was over 5 minutes before a server came to our table, said he'll be right back to take our drink orders in a minute. He seemed be rushed which makes think the management did not have enough servers available. That made no sense since there 2 hostesses just standing around. Now the food. The Ballpark pretzel appetizer was the saltiest I've ever tasted. It was like dumping a salt shaker in your mouth. We had the Bison Prairie burger for dinner. Now that was delicious. Was the right size and temp. I would given 4 stars on that. The side of fries was bettor than most brew pubs. Had a flight their beers. The Summer Honey Ale is the only one that stands out. Would try that one again if I just stop by for a drink at the bar. The RB Collaboration Ale was just OK.

Our wait person was nice. Food wasn't bad. Hubby got the 2am Burger and LOVED it. I got the mini street fish tacos & chicken tortilla soup. The tacos were way over seasoned with cayenne. My mouth was on fire. The soup would have been better if I had taste buds after the tacos... The ONLY issue is that it took an unusually long time to get our food. On the plus side, because the food was delayed, and my soup had been forgotten, the soup was upgraded from cup to bowl and credited to our bill, and we were also offered a free dessert. (The ice cream sandwiches are yummy!) So while it was a pleasant eating experience, it did take a bit longer than it ought to have. But they made it up to us, which makes me more likely to visit again in the future.

I do not drink much. Just go for the food. First you need to know that it is noisy in here. They have tables you may get seated by the kitchen. Ask to be somewhere else. Kitchen is super noisy crashing plates and pans. No consideration for guests. You get put by the bar side of the dining room and if some sports event is going on you will not be able to hear. That being said. Barbeque jalapeño chicken salad is great. My wife loves the Burbenzola burger. Menu other than that is so so. Service has been very good to really poor. crapshoot. We still go but not as often. All has gone down hill in the last year or so.

Food was mediocre and generic. The description of the food and what you get is very different. The waitress was rude which made our service and experience terrible. The cutlery were dirty. 3 stars Really!!!! This place is always packed. I do have to say the hostess was in sweat pants and look like she just rolled out of bed when I came in for lunch on a weekday. But nothing can keep me away from the amazing shrimp & lobster tacos. Friggin delicious!!! Also the nachos are amazing and enough to feed an army. Service is always great too. I love this place.

I had a hamburger which I thought was very good. I had a beer sampler which showcased their beers very nice. Would have given 5 except service was so slow. I liked that they offered healthier choices. I had one of the desserts in a mason jar which was fun.

I didn't know that there was a Chicago location in River North until the boy pointed it out. Anyways, this location is absolutely huge. There's outdoor seating that wraps around the building. Service could have been better because we were waiting quite some time for our food. I got the chicken avocado sandwich? It was tasty, but so messy. My friends raved about the country fried chicken and mashed potatoes. I don't know if my experience at this location warrants a visit to the River North location, although I just found out they have a rooftop bar? Hm, interesting.

breakfastrules.blogspot.… This review is based on Rock Bottom's Kegs 'n Eggs breakfast. If you're reading this and wondering how we could give Rock Bottom's Kegs 'N Eggs breakfast anything less than a stellar review, you wondered correctly--we were very pleased. Four courses of thoughtful, well-prepared breakfast samplers and four courses of beer. Beer. We love beer. And breakfast. Essentially this was one of the best breakfasts we've ever had and we would definitely do it again. Even though Brent does not like drinking when he eats, he had to admit that all the food was pretty darn good. I think Rock Bottom really hit the mark with the biscuits and gravy and French toast. Rock Bottom's Kegs 'N Eggs breakfast experience gets a rousing 4.5 Brent faces.

What is it about this Rock Bottom? I'm not the type to write reviews but I'm rather on a roll today, this place popped up on my homepage and a negative experience came to mind. I get it, every place has a bad day. But the last three times I've been in having a drink and meal with friends the service was so average. Like a bunch of kids out of high school. For a franchise such as this I would think they would have much better training.

"Yeah, I always go with three...the number of brothers and sisters I, uhhh, Hunger Gamed in the womb." I've visited this Rock Bottom location three times now and on all 3 occasions the food was tasty, the servers snazzy and I got to cop a squat on the patio. I don't wanna brag, but ONE time, I got myself an umbrella. *struts* Maybe it was the lovely summer evenings and warm breezes in my hair that brought out my inner Gypsy-era Stevie Nicks, or perhaps it was that Hefeweizen...so refreshing with notes of banana and citrus capped off perfectly with a sweet slice of orange that brought a smile to my painted lips, but by Gawd... I like it here. Their scrumptious, soft pretzel sticks are served up toasty and tender with a gooey, warm jalapeno and pico infused cheese dip that's an absolute joy. (Ask for extra sauce when you order off the jump) I've had their "Just Hot Enough" Burger and their appetizer platter with wings and thangs, but honestly, the pretzels have been the stand out for me so far. I mean..it's hot, salted bread...and BEER. Ya feelin' me? Burger was juicy and flavorful, but runs on the small side. I'm a go-heavy-or-go-home kinda gal when it comes to burgers, but for a snack, you could easily split one and enjoy it as an appetizer. The kitchen will divide any dinner (including the side) for you and serve up those babies on two plates, which is a hospitable service I truly appreciate. Saves room for icy brews and is easy on the pocketbook. Eileen, my server from my last visit here, was hilarious, courteous, and quick on her feet. Give that doll a raise! It's times like these I wish Yelp had half stars because I feel Rock Bottom is a solid 3.5 stars..and I AM a fan. I didn't bump it up to 4 because while the beer is good stuff, it's not as fulfilling as some of my craft favs. They should also be serving their robust, house-brewed root beer in a frosted mug. All that ice in a warm glass just watered down my quality beverage. What's up with that? Additionally, I'd like to see a sweet sauce, perhaps a coconut-infused sauce or mango/pineapple salsa accompanying their Southwest egg rolls...some deli-style and grainy mustard paired with pretzels as well as the cheese.. How yummy would that be! Anddddd while the food is enjoyable, you're not going to find gastropub-quality creations here. I knew that going in; just say sayin'...... Lookie, Cookie: Rock Bottom is a nice spot to sit and catch up with friends, enjoy a night out with a date or belly up solo to the bar and snag a cold one. The inside is buzzing with lively peeps and I dig the atmosphere. Warm wood, tanks behind glass, an interactive bar staff...one could surely have a good time here and unwind without breaking the bank. Inside can run a little on the loud side, but you can easily converse so it's all good from where I'm sittin'. It's a block from Orland's Marcus Theatres, which are clean and have comfy seats with a friendly staff. They often have a brew "special" that isn't on menu, so be sure to ask your server or the bartender about that. Currently, some locations are featuring a "Summer Honey Ale" that managed to escape my greedy little fingers; I'll get you my pretty!....

We came here on a Sunday night for dinner. Here is a breakdown of what we ordered: 1. Brewery Platter: Wings with buffalo sauce, Southwest Egg Rolls and Jalapeno Spinach Cheese Dip. This was a good amount of food, but not worth $16. A little overpriced for what you get. 2. My friend ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken which consists of fried chicken breasts over white cheddar mashed potatoes, all smothered with country gravy. She enjoyed it and it was recommended by our waiter. 3. I ordered the Just Hot Enough Burger. It was topped with crispy jalapenos, pepper jack cheese, pico de gallo and housemade habanero ketchup. This burger was GOOD! It was too spicy for me and that is a rarity. The mac n cheese that I ordered on the side was average. I was expecting more cheesiness, but it was dry and had a little to much bread topping. 4. My boyfriend ordered Fish & Chips. He seemed to enjoy it and said it was good. 5. For dessert, we got the triple chocolate brownie. This was sooo good. Comes served with ice cream. Overall, the food is a 3 star, the service a 4 star. We got a free dessert since it was my friend's birthday, which was a nice perk.

Highly recommend sitting at the bar. Great food. Great atmosphere. The "must get", hands down the nachos. Pulled pork--order with the slaw topper. Won't disappoint. See Christina--all pro.

Beside the fact that they brew their own beer didn't really enjoy the food, calamari no flavor- sirloin dry and no flavor. The only thing that saved the day dessert, chocolate chip cookie with ice cream. So not really coming back

Came here a few weeks ago, and most likely won't be coming back. I ordered the adult Mac and cheese and could not believe the amount of grease that smothered every bite. My boyfriend's steak was just okay. Nothing to remember, but nothing to complain about. On top of the not so impressive food, the staff had a sloppy appearance, they ran out of crayons for the kids and the booster seat we were given was absolutely filthy. Service wasn't bad but I had a different experience from when I was here a few years back. I expected something better!

A date night semi-success. My man and I decided to go on a date night and picked Rock Bottom as the start point. I was smart enough to make reservations the night before. I had been there once years ago and remembered how busy it was. When we arrived, I could tell it hadn't changed. We were seated quickly. Our server was incredibly polite and genuine. Our food came out in a very timely manner. Unfortunately, the kitchen got my boyfriend's dinner wrong. When server came to our table she instantly could tell it was the wrong this and she returned it to the cook. They replaced it with the right thing quickly. Despite the mix-up, the night was a success and our server was one of the best I've ever had. Just the right amount of friendly without over-doing it.

Went there for dinner tonight with a few friends. It took them 1.5 hours for being us three burgers. The nachos came out fairly quickly but we're burned and horribly bad. When we got our food it was not cooked thoroughly and tasted awful. They did comp the nachos without us having to ask due to the wait, but the overall experience was just terrible. I won't be returning.

First come, first serve in the bar area. The beer was good. I was not a fan of the taco appetizer, however, I will be back for those amazing pretzel sticks! Service was as it should be, no long waits or attitudes. Now I want pretzel sticks again.

It is good for what it is. The server was super nice. My blackened fish tacos were delicious. The shrimp appetizer is good as well. I would eat there again. Beer was pretty decent too.

I love it when everything comes together. A good plan, a puzzle, or a good meal. This was my first time to Rock Bottom Restaurant and Brewery and it all came together very nicely. Maybe it is something about craftsmanship that appeals to me. If you have ever home-brewed you know about craftsmanship. You practice and tweak until you get it just right. That same attention to detail permeated my experience at Rock Bottom. We started with a Red Ale and two giant Ball Park Pretzels. The smooth hoppy ale helped cut the saltiness of the pretzels and made for a wonderful appetizer. For dinner I had the Hazelnut Crusted Chicken with a White Ale. The hint of orange in the ale brought out the sun-dried cherry sauce on the chicken and the white cheddar mashed potatoes were the perfect compliment. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The booths were spacious and beckoned large groups to sit and enjoy conversation over a meal. The portions were just right for the price. The pretzels were $7.95 and served with a jalapeño spinach cheese dip. Yum! The breasts of chicken and white cheddar mash were $14.25. For dessert a Chocolate Stout cupcake served with warm cream cheese icing for $5.50. The handcrafted beers can go well with most of the menu items. Rock Bottom offered: - Kõlsch - White Ale - IPA - Red Ale - Specialty Dark (stout) For a relaxing evening with friends, I recommend the Rock Bottom Restaurant and Brewery.

I have a great experiences at Rock Bottom Brewery in the past. I love the nachos and my daughters love making their own individual pizzas. However, I had the most horrible experience the last time I was there and I never plan on going back again! One Thursday evening I decided to take my little girls there for dinner. I figured that we would sit outside because I assumed it would be more kid friendly, boy was I wrong. It took 15 minutes for anyone to stop by our table and acknowledge us, let alone take our drink order. Finally I asked another waiter if he could find our waiter so that we could place an order. We got our drinks staggered, first the kids got theirs then minutes later they brought my Coke. Another 30 minutes passed and someone came to take our orders. I ordered the nachos and two make your own pizza for the kids. Another 20 minutes passed and my nachos came out first, which was puzzling....after all how long could it take to bake 2 miniature cheese pizzas? After another 15-20 minutes of the kids helping me eat my nachos (to my dismay), their pizzas arrived. While I wait for them to finish eating their pizza. A group of Rockbottom staff that had just ended their shift sat at the table next to us. They were loud and belligerent to say the least! One even had the nerve to come to our table and ask if we were using all of our chairs so that she could sit at the table with them. The worst part is every couple of minutes one of them would drop the "F" bomb! I had to flash them a look several times for them to be respectful of me and my small children. To make matters worse a man who appeared to be in management came out to join in on all of the fun! If you are hungry and want to eat within an hour or have small children, beware of Rock Bottom Brewery.

Nothing to write home about but it is a nice change of pace. I met my mom here for dinner as she works nearby and had never been. It was a Thursday night so we were seated quickly in the super dark dining room. Mom scored the half size nachos with chicken and requested no onions. The nachos were loaded down with onions that she had to pick off. Boo! I went with the Tuscan Chicken and it was a-ok. Nothing special but nothing bad. I am almost certain that if mom and I were craft beer lovers then it would have been an entirely different experience. We would have been more excited over the beverages and less upset about some onions.

Usually very busy especially on weekends with a wait time. Service is prompt and waiters and waitresses attentive. Food is typical bar food although portions are quite large.

Slow service on a Tuesday night. We were the only ones in line but waited over 5 mins just to get seated. We placed our orders and 10 minutes later I was told they were all out of the item I wanted. I don't really blame the waitress for this. It's the chef/cook, kitchen manager or manager's fault.

This is my favorite local place to go! They have $3 daily mug specials of 20oz, 5,5 % alcohol content or $10 pitchers Thurs. They have great $5 half pound burgers w/fries on Monday. This my Monday place to go. I do go here on other days though. Sunday order a house beer for $5.50 get a free glass and all your next beers are $2.75 each. Needless to say I have a cupboard full of glasses.

My hubby and I love this place. It seems to be our "go to" whenever we want to go out. The beer is good and the food is great. I love their nachos (big enough to share with 2-3 people) and the giant pretzels with cheese dip is AMAZING! Going during their happy hour makes the appetizers really reasonable and they are filling on their own, that's for sure. Belly up to the bar for the best and interactive experience. Rachael, Brad and Christina are personable and learn quickly what your favorites are. Their menu options seem to come and go, but I have a feeling if they gave Jose the chef free reign on that menu he would do some real magic to it. The only thing I'd change would be to make some sort of additions to the martini menu. Mix it up a bit. Have some drink specials....ya know..........girlie drinks. =)

Hmmm, Kathy don't you hate beer? Why did you go to a Brewery? Dunno. My husband wanted to? But, I was surprised by the restaurant. It's a chain, in Orland and specializes in beer. None of these are my favorites. But the food here is pretty darn good, the menu interesting and they have one of my favorite things - small dessert portions are an option. And the firecracker shrimp appetizer was excellent. They also have two different patios which are pretty fun to use if the sun and shade line up in your favor. It is, however, fairly pricey. Next time we will have too order a tad more carefully.

  • Clifford S.

I make up excuses to come here for the donut dessert. And the excuses are pretty good as well. Today's excuse was, Hey honey, it's so nice out, why don't we go someplace we can eat outside? (My wife adores eating outside and tried to counter with our own deck but I prevailed.) Starter: Fire cracker shrimp - there is not a finer shrimp dish around. Unfortunately my wife has learned that the sauce cools the fire and eats her half. Entree: Mac and Cheese - it's a go to dish for me. Satisfies every time. Grand Finale: Donuts - fresh and hot with caramel dipping sauce. Enough to share. Everyone is happy. That's five stars in my book.

I want to start this review by saying that I actually really like Rock Bottom. I have been to the Warrenville and Lombard locations and continue to go back all the time for the wonderful customer service and food THERE. This location is a totally different story. The Orland Park location is really bad. And when I say really bad, I mean awful. I drove out to that location to visit my boyfriend at work and take him out to dinner. He forgot his wallet at home and was starving. We decided on Rock Bottom because we've been there before and have always had good experiences. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the hostess and headed over to the bar area. We took a seat and the bartender gave us our drinks. Now, while we were looking over the menus this aroma started to cloud over us and soon it was extremely overwhelming. I wish I was exaggerating at how absolutely over powering and awful the smell was. So after waiting about 30 minutes for the bartender to come over again to take our order, we decided to move to the other side of the bar. Again, it took another 30 minutes but the bartender finally noticed we had moved and asked why. We explained the smell in the area and that it was so unbearable. The bartender just looked at us and laughed and responded with "Yeah...someone threw up there the other night." Ummm.......so did you just decided not to clean it up and let people sit over there?! GROSS! And the bartender laughed like it was no big deal! If there is still a disgusting smell over there to make us move, I'm pretty sure it's not clean and you should go take care of it! I mean, its common sense! But I guess this Rock Bottom location doesn't have that. And to top it off, the food was really bad. I had the avocado Chicken sandwich and it wasn't cooked all the way and was missing all the toppings that usually come with it (lettuce, tomato, ranch, etc.) My boyfriend had the BBQ chicken salad and it was way to hot, and he loves spicy food. This Location needs major work. If I haven't already been to two other Rock Bottom locations and had wonderful experiences than I would never step foot in another Rock Bottom again. Thankfully, I will just not be setting foot in this location again.

Tough to get a table if you just walk in, and there's a reason for that. Luckily if you find yourself without a reservation you can call ahead and put your name in, which is what we did. Although Rock Bottom is a chain, the locations I've been to have been different - decorated differently, different local affiliations, different brews outside of the basic house list, and I'm not 100% sure on this but I think even different menus. So it's a pretty un-chainy chain. Love the beer and food and IMO it's priced fairly. I particularly like how the menu items are so varied - you couldn't group them into any single category as there are influences from many different regions, ethnicities, etc. I'll be going back. PS Chicken mac-and-cheese with bacon in it? For serious.

I met my mom and sister in Orland Park to celebrate Mother's Day. The decor is very inviting, service was great and there were so many things that sounded good on the menu we definitely will be eating there again. I had their homemade Root beer, if you are a fan of Root beer make sure to order theirs. My mom said it remaindered her of A&W's back in the day in frosted mugs. We ordered the nachos as an appetizer, wow the plate was huge and no shortage of chips, there could have been a little more cheese but overall very good. We saw a lot of the large pretzels going to other tables, have to try that next. We received a recommendation from a friend to order the lobster and shrimp tacos. All the goodies come in a hard shell wrapped in a soft shell, I really like the combination of this. The sauce had a bit of a kick to it, but then again I have a pretty low tolerance for spicy foods. It was not too much, but next time I would order the sauce on the side.We all decided to have part of our meals wrapped up so we could try the dessert. If you like carrot cake do not miss this one! I've been here three times now, and I'm just not impressed with the place. The beer is good and priced ok. The night started with the hostess giving our reservation for seven people to another group. We waited a bit while they came up with a small table, and one person sitting at the end in the isle. The food was nothing great. I've tried a few things here including appetizers and sandwiches. Don't bother with the reuben sandwich here. One thing I like is that they can split up price of the appetizers that we all shared, and charge out 1/4 of each appetizer to each bill. What really made me decide not to go back here is this. We were talking outside the front door after paying our bills, when the waiter came outside somewhat angry and said "Did you guys steal my pen?" We all answered no, then he slipped back into the restaurant.

The chicken sandwich I got was absolutely delicious, the house chips were nice and crispy, and the bartenders (yes, there were multiple) who served us while we were sitting at the bar were rude and terrible. It is quite disheartening to wait patiently for your server to notice you while they're busy ignoring you over other louder, more brash patrons, and even more so to get the evil eye all night from your original server once they find out you ditched them because they were ignoring you. Definitely didn't add to my experience here. Sitting at the bar on a Friday night, I expected the noise level to be a bit high, but it was impossible to hear non-shouted conversation. Perhaps the experience would've been better sitting at a table, but the 45 minute wait we were quoted wasn't very appealing. Their ales are pretty awful as well. Also... the vibe is very... um... republican... I walked in and felt as if all eyes were on me. I wouldn't come back. I wouldn't even touch this place with a 10 and a half foot pole... unless I ordered something to-go.

They are serious about their beer here - 2 star food yet 4 star beer ... thus the 3 stars overall. For their beer they list the OG (original gravity of unfermented wort), the Plato (density of beer wort), and the BU (bitterness unit), among other measurements. Try the beer sampler - 6, 3 ounce tastes for $6 ... nice sampling - when we went there: Kolsch, White Ale, I.P.A., Red Ale, a specialty dark, and a brewmaster's choice (another I.P.A.). All-in-all a nice tasting that made up for the bland food, which was mostly small servings for the price.

Wednesday night is a beer special night, $6 for you first tall glass, and refills are $4 and you get to keep the glass. I highly recommend one of the mac and cheese dishes they are great. Prices are reasonably to a touch on the high side.

I was pleasantly surprised here. We visited with my in-laws on a fairly busy Saturday night. Initially it took awhile for a server to get to us, I think they were confused about who was assigned to our table -- but once someone was, he was very efficient and friendly. We started with nachos that came out on a big ole pizza board-style plate, just covered in cheese, pico, beans etc and with a very tasty salsa. I chose mahi tacos for my entree and talked the husband into getting short ribs so I could steal a bit. My tacos were pretty tasty, with good spices and crunchy slaw, though the rice was not quite as good as I'd hoped. The husband's short ribs were really, really good and if we were ever to go back I would probably order that! :) But honestly the highlight of my meal was the homemade DRAFT root beer, which came from the bar with a nice thick head on it and was completely delicious and either the best or second-best root beer I have ever had. Our waiter was very friendly and patient with the six-year-old who was with us and got to make his own pizza (as in put his own sauce and cheese on a little disc of dough and then they baked it!). And my in-laws seemed to enjoy their food very much. OK, so it's a big chain and it's a little overpriced. (Harrison's is overall very similar, a little better value and a local business.) But we got good service and some great food, and we all left satisfied. P.S. I bet they make a killer root beer float.

This is where I take anyone who visits the Kankakee area. That being said, if it was located somewhere with more dining options than Bourbonnais, I probably would have given it only three stars. It has a nice atmosphere, very lively. The service is good, and the wait is very short, both for the table and the food. The menu is decent. Vegetarians will also likely still be satisfied, as there are a few meatless options. The burgers are surprisingly tasty and very large. I have a big appetite, and I left full. The beers are more on the bitter side, so if you are a hop person you will probably love them, and if you are a malt person it could go either way. Recommended for dates, a place to watch the game or take the parents.

We stopped here for a late dinner on a nice Sunday summer night. This place was freezing on the inside so we opted to sit outside. However if we knew how horrible our server was going to be, I'm sure we would've just fared the frigid inside temps. He would disappear for 30 min at a time. I ordered the margarita pizza and requested some crushed red pepper. It literally was 35 minutes before I saw him again and he didn't even have my pepper! It wouldn't have been so bad if the pizza wasn't so bland but I NEEDED the pepper to add some much needed flavor. Being that I was 9 months pregnant, I was pissed. The reason this experience got 3 stars is because the manager on duty that night (Nora or Zora or something like that) was EXTREMELY apologetic and very accommodating. Of course she took my comped my food but she offered all four of us any dessert of our choice and even made it special for the kids. I only accepted after she insisted that we take something for our inconvenience. I was impressed with her determination to right the wrong caused by her server. Customer Service isn't dead after all!

Spent over an hour and a half eating lunch here with an old friend and catching up. Atmosphere: The A/C was a godsend since it was so hot outside! But it does feel cold after a while. I suggest bringing a cardigan! Service: Great service! Our waitress always made sure to bring refills of our drinks before we even asked! Food: I ordered a burger. Perfectly cooked medium. The fries were so-so. I prefer thicker cut fries. My friend ordered the pretzel appetizer. It comes with 2 large pretzels that were tasty! It also comes with a queso artichoke dipping sauce. Overall: 3.5/5. Definitely a nice place to grab standard American fare for a casual meet up.

I've been to Rock Bottom twice, apparently. I say apparently since I don't really remember anything about my first visit (which might just be a clue). This visit started off with a major disappointment. I ordered the Belgian Tripel (Blitzen) and almost couldn't finish it. I've had several tripels before and this one was just...bad. After that misadventure, I made sure to order samples of each beer before I committed to a full glass. The rest of the beer I tried, as well as the beers the rest of my group had, were all very nice. The food is good, but it almost feels like it's trying to reinvent things that don't need to be reinvented. I had the Laredo burger which was pretty good. The desserts were really delicious (the brownie in particular), as well. All in all, Rock Bottom is a lot like all the other restaurant and breweries that have suddenly popped up. There's really nothing to separate it in my eyes. That's why I give it 3 stars.

Saturday reservation - party of 11. Table was ready on-time. Service was good, especially since we had a large group. Had to ask a few times to refill water though. This was my first time at Rock Bottom. I liked the bar area - probably would go there for a beer if I was in the neighborhood. I would say the food overall was a bit below average. I got the Loredo Chicken sandwich. The bun was large and not very fresh. There was a grilled piece of chicken that couldn't have been more than 3 ounces, it was swallowed up by the giant bun. I think everyone in my party felt the food was just o-kay. Nothing stood out. There are too many of these types of restaurants in that area, so this would not be on the top of my list.

At about 1:30 the place was already filled with yelling drunks. After we were seated we waited about ten minutes for our drink order to be taken. Iced tea and lemonade were $3.25! We then waited to place our order. The waitress came back about five minutes later to give us our drinks, but couldn't take our order. Another five to ten minutes went by before she came back and finally took our order. The food took about ten minutes longer than it should have. I ordered the 2 AM burger, which has hash browns, bacon, and a fried egg. I also ordered my burger medium, but it came well-done and dry. If they're going to cook it to well-done, they shouldn't bother asking how you'd like it done. It tasted as if it were a frozen, preformed patty they just threw on the grill. I can make much better burgers at home. The hash browns were also overly greasy, much more so than any fast-food hash browns I've had. For three people our bill came to about $50. You can do much better, even in Orland, for that price. They have a punch card for lunch entrees where if you buy so many entrees you get one free. They only signed off on one, despite three having been purchased. I would have corrected them, but I won't be coming back.

I really don't want to be this person--the one who goes OFF on a bad restaurant experience. But after asking some locals, I'm getting the feeling that this was not just a one-time bad experience. Not only was all the food completely over salted, but the fries I got with my sandwich were stale and overstayed their welcome under a heat lamp. My fiance's fish tacos were positively grotesque and both of us felt like vomitting by the time the check came, which is the best part. This part is half my fault. I put down $13 and my credit card hoping the server would take that off the top, but I guess she thought the $13 was her tip. Right, lady. Like I'm giving you a 33% tip for bad food and little to no service. I was in such a sour mood after this meal. I was starving because we ate late and I had to eat THAT? I was so hungry I ate it anyway and had to stop at the store to get some pepto bismol right afterward. We were both so sick feeling to the next day that I wrote an e-mail to the manager explaining our experience and asked for my money back. He was nice and sent some vouchers for a free meal--which is where the 1 star came from. However, I don't think I'll ever be back--free or not. Moral of the story: My dining experience here was a culinary rock bottom. har har.

This place is pretty good. I wouldn't give it 5 stars because it's not amazing, but it is a good place to grab a burger and beer before heading to a movie right next door or going out Friday night. The ambiance is nice and the burgers are good.

I've been coming here once a week lately for a few beers and an appetizer. I have to say, I look forward to when they tap their "Beer of the Month". Their house brewed beer that's part of their regular menu is just ok but their craft beer is excellent. I've never had a bad meal here either. I will be back again this week!

first let me start by saying this place has hit rock bottom, got seated quick but doesn't make up for lack of service cheese dip was cold took forever to get new one, stuffed peppers were a mush of chicken slopped on pepper so spicy couldn't taste anything else, people's food sat in window for up to 10 min beforee any server grabbed it, the cooks in back had food hanging out of mouth while cooking, manager was no where to be seen and didn't even ask why peppers were no good and ordered burger after that took another 20 min and had to get my own silverware and border line own water, wouldn't recommend to someone even if they had no tastebuds, server was nice very forgetful though

We ate there for the first time and will never go back !. We made a reservation ahead and we were seated 5 minutes late, can't understand why since the resaurant had quite a few empty tables and booths at that time. After we were shown to our table we had to experience our hostess and two servers arguing right next to our table about the fact that they weren't going to be taking on any other tables because it was too far to walk back and forth. They we're so deeply in their conversation that I couldn't get anyone's attention to bring us the high chair that we requested with our reservation. We had a party of 9, so we had to large tables pushed together, now comes the fun part.. .our waitress stood at one end and proceeded to take all of our orders without moving, she did this while taking the drink order, appetizer order and dinner order ! It was not fun shouting out what we wanted from so far away ! Shortly after we all ordered our dinners the waitress came back to tell my son they ran out of Baby Back Ribs - this was at 4pm on a Sunday afternoon - how ridiculous was that !!!!! Over all, the food was terrible, their brisket was like cardboard slices and their famous chili that was supposed to be on top of that was dried up ! The reuben sandwich was warm at best, same for the burgers and chicken, the salad was cold and tasted like dirty lettuce ! We paid our check and were waiting for the waitress to bring back the receipt which had the website survey info on there, we waited and waited and never saw her again. One last word of advice....beware of the unclean glasses in which they pour their beer !

Waitstaff at the front, a bit rude & not attentive at all. Burger was well seasoned and deeeeeeelish! Beer-marinated Chicken & mushroom dish was good. Though the chicken was bland, but the mushroom gravy and cheddar potatoes made up for it. As far as some other items: -The nacho appetizer (full) is good, and for like 3-4 people, so watch out for that. -Burbonzola steak is good, when they don't give you a plate full of gristle. -Country fried chicken with gravy has a great batter good, but again the meat itself is bland. -Spinach dip is not good at all, skip that one. -The carrot cake for two, is for 3 level-headed people.

Decided to stop for a quick drink before seeing a movie. Because we had been to the Rock Bottom in Indy many times we stopped here. We waited over 10 minutes for a waitress. We tried to get the attention of the person we assumed took care of our table. She appeared to go out of her way to ignore us. We waited over ten minutes, finally gave up and walked out. Go across the street to Champs. Wonderful bar, friendly bartender and great atmosphere.

Waste of time. We used to come here and sit by the bar, get a few drinks and a burger. We visited there several times in the last six months and were very disappointed. What happened to this place? My son ordered a cheeseburger that looked and tasted like one you buy frozen in a stack at the grocery store. We tried them once again last week, as a departure from our favorite restaurant across the street and were very disappointed. We asked the waitress if there were any drink specials and she gave a little snarky, "Thursday-NO!" answer. At nine dollars for their drinks, no wonder the restaurant looked empty. If you're just looking for a brewed beer and a noisy atmosphere and all the other good places on Lagrange are full (including Hooters-which is better) then you'll have to settle for Rock Bottom.

We were sitting outside and a couple gets sat right next to us. She asks the server for an ash tray. He proceeds to bring her one, to my surprise. Isn't it illegal to smoke within 15 ft of a public area??!!! Yes, it is. When I went inside to tell them, they said I can move any where I wanted to out there! Why should I have to move?! Poor management....after moving around the corner away from the foulness another person comes out purposely to smoke! Never go there again!!!!
