Papa Murphy is one of the top pizza chains in the United States. Papa Murphy was formed after the merger of two popular local pizzerias namely Papa Aldo's and Murphy's respectively. The trend of "take and bake" pizzerias gained popularity in the United States during the early 90s. The growing popularity these two take and bake pizzerias located in Hillsboro, Oregon and Petaluma, California respectively gave the idea of a possible merger to Terry Collins.

Customers can relish Papa Murphy pizzas by simply walking into the nearby Papa Murphy outlet or simply order online or call-in to pick up the order later. Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

As the waitress at Devono's putt so eloquently once upon a time, "Papa Joe's? I wouldn't eat that crap with YOUR mouth!" I think that just about says it all. Why go somewhere so incredibly mediocre when there are so many other great italian places in the area.

Back in October 2007, we had our wedding rehearsal dinner at Papa Joe's. I really can't speak for the set-up, because my mother-in-law did all the real work. But it was a great meal, delicious pizza, pasta, salad, bread, wine, and they set us up in our own little dining area, not too secluded but definitely set apart. My in-laws have also gotten catering and take-out from Papa Joe's on several occasions, and it's always been hot and tasty. I'm not the biggest Italian Beef fan (I'm a Philly girl, cheesesteaks are far superior) but it always looks so tempting that I end up eating a bunch anyway. It may not be super-fine dining or even the best Italian in Orland Park (I wouldn't know) but it's a good solid restaurant with friendly people, tasty food and good service. EDIT: We got some takeout from here 1/16/10 and just wanted to make a quick report: pizza is quite good. Dinner salad is average. Please be warned that if you order vinaigrette dressing, you will get 1 container each of red wine vinegar and olive oil. I did not realize they were different and ate a vinegar-soaked salad :)

Been here several times. Can't go wrong with the Chicken Tet! In fact, it is one of the best things you can buy if you're going to have a party (they offer HUGE trays to take home). We had our wedding rehearsal dinner here (thanks Dad!), and couldn't have been more pleased. No one had to ever wait for a drink (and our friends and family DRINK), and they accommodated our party perfectly. We had open bar, and let people order anything on the menu, and everyone seemed pleased. One time, I did order the halibut, and it was mediocre, actually quite bad. But, everyone else was happy, so I'll just say perhaps it was an off dish, or avoid the halibut. The place is large, and it seems like it takes forever to get to the men's room. Overall, it's a good value, nicely decorated, and a relaxing place to go for some decent fare.

******PLEASE READ BEFORE EATING HERE******* Went here for a birthday party in January. There was a total of 46 people at the party. The following evening I got so violently ill, sicker than i have ever been in my life. Vomiting and diarrhea for literally 5 hours. I had actually debated going to the ER since i was not sure what had made me so sick. The next day I found out that more people from the party had gotten violently ill just as i had. After talking to the host of the party it was discovered that 38 of the 46 people at the party had experienced the same symptoms. After talking to everyone we determined it was the pasta salad. Not sure what was in the pasta salad but what ever it was made all of us sicker than we had ever experienced. My grandma, who suffers from diabetes, was one of the 38. She actually had to go to the ER. Guests of the party ranging in ages of 1 yr to 80 yrs were of those who had gotten sick. I will never in my life eat at this place again and will encourage everyone to stay away. On a side note...The food here is really just average and that is being kind. Definitely not worth getting violently ill over.

A friend a had gift card so why not use it. Not a big bread eater but I will say it is pretty good. The lettuce, pasta and cucumber plates were interesting. Lettuce left a lot to be desired, pasta was bad and the cucumbers ok. The soup was served in a tiny cup, good thing because it was not very good. I had the veal parmigiana not bad except for the sauce. They put about a gallon on it and it was not good. The veal was ok and the side of pasta was icky. I guess it works for some people but I have had my fill.

First, to be fair, I am not sure if we had food from the Orland Park or Oak Law location, but they are owned by the same co. The people who organize my floor party at work order from this place every year, they love it, but I think it is mediocre at best. We have tried many, many dishes, and nothing really stood out in my mind. If it were my choice, I would not order from here anymore.

This place was recommended by a fellow church goer so I figured what the heck.. This place is OLD SCHOOL.. it could really use a make over. Too many levels.. downstairs is bar and 2 levels of dining.. I would hate to be a server here.. OUCH!! Ordered the chicken limone and my other guests has italian beef sandwich and a special (seafood tetrazini) we also ordered a anti pasta platter. Soup of the day was minestrone so we all got that. First arrived the BIG HOT loaf of bread with whipped butter.. YUMMY YUMMT YUMMY :) Next came our soups and it was an average minestrone. Anti pasta was next and it was average also.. no dressing which was odd, but ok. Then we got 3 salads which I assume came with all dinners since I saw other tables with them. One was a regular house salad then a pasta salad and finally a cucumber salad.. all were average. When our actual dinner arrived we were not too hungry, but I have to at least taste it. I had a side of broccoli that was soaked in butter and steamed perfectly. I had a few bites of the chicken and it was good, but a bit soggy which can happen. The other 2 dishes were good, but nothing to special. Service was attentive so that's a nice bonus these days. I will go back if in the area, but I am better educated to how the menu works and will order more accurately.

Went here for dinner on a Sunday evening. When you walk in, you have to go to the middle of the restaurant to see the hostess -- it felt a little weird. The place only had a few other tables that were occupied. We were seated at a round table, which is nice for a party of five. The atmosphere is pleasant, tasteful decorations and paintings on the walls, clean and spacious. The service was slow, but polite and friendly. We waited over five minutes to be greeted and given water. The waitress took our drink orders and returned in about five minutes. She then took our food order. Meals are served with a cup of soup and family style salad. There are three types of salad, the regular type seasoned with oil and vinegar, a pasta salad, and a cucumber and tomato salad -- you get all three. We also ordered an anti pasta salad. The time between our drinks being delivered and the appearance of any food was a good fifteen minutes. When the food came, it was a barrage of food, first the soup and bread, then the appetizer, and immediately after, the salads appeared. We all felt that the food could have been spread out a little, we were all hungry and the time between our arrival and any food appearing was probably 25 minutes. I don't know if the waitress was unusually busy, but the smallest request took a while. I had iced tea and the glasses are on the small side so she had to continually refill our glasses, once she refilled my iced tea and there was absolutely no ice in the glass -- I had to ask for an additional glass of ice. The food was good, three of us had the steak italiano, one of us had chicken tetrrazini and one of us had the butt steak. Everybody was happy with the food, but were unable to finish much of it because the salads and appetizer were filling. THE RESTROOMS Okay, this is a pet peeve of mine. If a restaurant (especially a supposedly upscale place) cannot provide a clean restroom, they should not be in business. I used the mens restroom and the first thing I noticed is that the door was in sad shape -- it looked dirty and had a lot of scratches on it. I entered the restroom and immediately got the feeling that everything was sticky and dirty. The walls and the stalls looked as though they had not been cleaned in an eternity. I left feeling a little dirty myself. My daughter-in-law reported the same experience in the womens restroom. The experience cast a pall over what should have been a pleasant dining experience. I know it is difficult for owners to shut down for a few days, but this place really needs to entirely renovate the bathrooms! Will I go here again? Probably, it is a good place for large parties, they have secluded rooms removed from the main area and the music is quiet, you can easily have a conversation with others.

I've been going to Papa Joe's with a friend of mine for around 10 years. Every Tuesday is 2 for 1 pasta night and we get the exact same thing - baked mostacolli with a cup of the cream of spinach soup. There is always so much food that there are leftovers for work the next day!

Great Italian food,the noodle salads,bread outstanding.Great value.
(4)Linda V.
They have high rating on Yelp. Therefore, I decided to give them a try. Their pizza was quite delicious and fresh. However, I have to wait for a long time. Maybe I'll be back, but just give them 3 stars for my first visit.
(3)Doni G.
I LOVE Papa Joe's!! The food is amazing and fresh! We initially went here because of a groupon but this is my favorite Italian restaurant now! You get so much food!! And it's all good!! My favorite appetizer is the Artichokes Al Forno.... YUMMY!! With each meal the bread, soup, and 3 different salads are complementary!! We leave with so much food! And it's all delicious!! The staff is great and patient... Even when they're busy, you can never tell by the wait staff's face! The venue is HUGE!! And they're great with large groups!!
(5)Laurna G.
I go to Papa Joe's on the reg and I absolutely love it! I typically get the chicken tetrazzini which is to die for. I have never had a bad experience with Papa Joe's waitstaff, everyone has always been extremely friendly and attentive. The wait may sometimes be slightly slower than what is ideal, if the restaurant is packed which is what you can expect when you go out to any restaurant! I am stunned by Alexander B's review. Why is it even on Yelp? Alex, YOU should be the one who's ashamed. Regardless of the terrible service you and your family may have received, writing ridiculous details about a waiter's "dad went out for cigarettes and ran off with a voodoo woman" and some other crap about not dying rescuing puppies???? Your comment is ridiculous and obnoxious and has NOTHING to do with the service you received while at this restaurant! Did you have any intention of including details about what was the problem with your service (which you did not mention) or was your only intention to personally attack an employee? I have never experienced a problem while eating at Papa Joe's and I doubt I ever will. Everyone there is friendly, approachable and more than willing to correct a problem if there is one. The family that runs it is so nice and helpful when it comes to planning events! Will continue eating here until I experience a problem! 10/10 would recommend.

Papa Joes has great pizza. Our office ordered today and the pizza was delivered hot and fresh.
(5)Tony G.
We went on 4-18-15 and though we love this place today was a rare exception. It wasn't particularly busy but our waiter forgot our bread basket, and then our salad bowl and out condiments and even short changed us. Yikes!!!! Horrible experience but the food we did get was excellemt, the service not good at all. We will come back but will purposely avoid the same waiter. Bet on it.

Ordered a 16" thin crust with sausage mushroom, onion and green pepper. Also ordered 16" 1/2 sausage 1/2 cheese. The sauce was so good I ended up eating the kids cheese that they couldn't finish too and I hate cheese pizza. Phenomenal pie.
(4)Kristeen M.
I love papa joes. it's local, it's in Orland, and it's reasonable. Monday night half off pizza can't be beat. Their pizza is as good as or better than anyone's. Tuesday, buy one get one free Pasta with fresh bread, soup, salad, cucumber & tomato salad, and pasta salad. Side of meatballs or sausage around $2.00. Best sauce is the if you like a lighter, spicier sauce. I don't like a heavy tomato sauce, but my husband does. Service is great. Seafood, not that great, but everything else is good.
(4)Rebecca D.
Being 1/2 Italian I tend to be critical of other peoples Italian cooking. I ordered the stuffed Manicoti and it was delicious. I also sampled the Cheese Tortellini also delicious. I definitely recommend dining here.
(4)Morris N.
We went here for a group event so the menu was preset. The meal included broasted chicken, mostaccoli, broccoli, mashed potatoes, Italian sausage, minestrone soup, salad and fresh bread. It was all good. The service was great. Servers were very attentive. The only problem I had with Papa Joe's was that they had a 2-person restroom for such a large restaurant so there was always a wait. I don't live in the area but I would go again if I were near it. I would recommend this place to others. It is casual environment and overall the dining experience was good.
(3)David N.
Service was great, but the food left something to be desired. Especially for my wife...food poisoning??? Bruschetta was above average, no complaints there. The accompanying family-style appetizers (pasta, salads) were okay, pretty ordinary. Tried the Spaghetti al Verde. Pretty watery, and too much olive oil/butter. Not much flavor. Granted, it's basically spaghetti tossed with spinach and garlic, but I had to lay on the salt and pepper before the dish came together. My co-diners gave above average marks all-around, including the pizza, but one special dish left my wife in sick in bed the following day: the Stuffed Shells. I've had food poisoning before, and it was obvious what her symptoms were. By the next day, she was cuddled up in bed, in a ball, and writhing in abdominal pain. Based on what she ate, there is no doubt what prompted her onset....Our visit to Papa Joe's. This is my fourth or fifth visit, and the food has always sat well with me. Benefit of the doubt this time? I'll leave it up to the wifey to determine if we will be back...
(3)Devon B.
Incredibly bad. The pizza tasted like cardboard. The service was extremely slow. The bartender was rude and made a sub-par drink. TVs everywhere with sports playing. The restaurant smelled bad, the restroom wasn't very clean, and it was very cold inside with no heat.
(1)Kal B.
They got 1 Star for 2 reasons: -1 I couldn't give them 0, Yelp wouldn't let me -2 the food was ok THE WORST SERVICE EVER We had a server by the name of Kelly. She forgot our soup, part of our appetizers, drinks, you name it. Our table never got cleaned without chasing down a bus boy. I had to call the restaurant on the phone just to have them send me a live body to cone to our table. I really just can not believe it took us 2 hours to have appetizers and 3 pizzas at a restaurant. ONE OF MY WORST OVERALL RESTAURANT EXPERIENCES EVER, REALLY ONE OF THE WORST EVER AND I'VE GOT 9 WITNESSES ON MY TABLE TO PROVE IT.
(1)Tony C.
I took the family here for dinner last night. The kids (5 yrs old) split a 10" pizza. I ate the chicken tetra and my wife had the pasta with vodka sauce. Everything was very good. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was very relaxing. I've been here many times and will be back.
