Came here for breakfast last Thursday morning with my family. I ordered the strawberry waffle with sausage links and coffee. The coffee and the sausage was really good. However, I didn't care much for the waffle. It didnt have a golden crust like I am used to and was a bit chewy. I suspect the batter was beaten a little too much and not enough cooking oil added. Everything else was great. The service here is outstanding and the owner (Charlie) came out to introduce himself to us shortly after sitting down and then came back later on to see how everything was. I love little restaurants such as this in small towns. I would like to go to Charlie's again and try the biscuits and gravy that they are known for.

We were up in the area and stopped in for breakfast. Between the five of us, we had pancakes, biscuits and gravy, two sausage gravy skillets, and a breakfast special. The waitress sat us right away and got our drinks. Charlie came out to the table to ask us how we were doing. The food was great as well as the price. It's a nice little restaurant in a quiet community.

Came here for breakfast. They were out of biscuits and gravy, (suppose to be their main dish) been here since 11:00am, got drinks at 12:00pm, and came back 20 mins after our order and said they were out of what we ordered. Horrible. By far, worst restaurant ever.

Excellent omelette, excellent hash browns, excellent staff and service. Great small town restaurant. Loved it!

Great biscuits and gravy. I stop here typically once a week just to have their "Big Pink" special which is 2 eggs biscuits and gravy over a bed of hash browns. Charlie (the owner) comes out every day to see how customers are doing. If you like biscuits and gravy this is by far the best place for you.

Tried this place for lunch. Was unimpressed. Small and cozy. About 15 tables plus a small 5 seat bar. I was one of just 4 customers at noon on a Friday so I don't think it's the most popular joint in town. Food was ok. Waitress was also ok. Decor was ok. Cleanliness was ok. Should be renamed the OK Diner. Meh!

This review is actually from my experience there a few years ago, but I'm still dumbfounded by the service I feel I need to put it out there and yes I'm still a little ticked at the owner. My the brothers came in for the biscuits and gravy. Our good was served cold. When I mentioned it to the owner who would stop at each table to chat and make sure everything is ok; (Which had impressed me the few times I've been in) he went to the kitchen and returned a few minutes later to inform us that the heating pad wasn't turned on. I expected the next thing out of his mouth would be, can I get you guys something else or I won't be charging you guys for your breakfast, but no he just walked away. So on a normal day the breakfast is average, but don't expect them to do the right thing if something is wrong with the food or service.
