Ordered Pad Thai with chicken and vegetables. It was great. Fresh taste, quality ingredients fast and polite service.

Chicken in the dishes are a bit over cooked but definitely a great food and delivery was on time. One of my favorite Thai restaurants.

Vegans, don't go here. There is nothing -- no entree -- that is made without fish sauce. Nor are they willing to accommodate, except to provide a very bland, overpriced bowl of fried rice. No offer to accommodate or engage with the customer even though it was an empty restaurant not close to serving time. Staff other than the owner-type is uninformed about how the food is prepared. Those with allergies or other restrictions would be advised to double check with the owner-type.

This review is based only on our recent visit for dinner on 6/13/15. We usually go here for Thai food and they have been very good. But, that day we don't know what happened to them. We came to eat in and ordered Crab Rangoon, Chicken & Shrimp Pad Thai and Chicken Onion. The service was slow - about 30 minutes for the food to be served. Crab Rangoon was good as usual. But, we were very disappointed with our main entrees which we order all the time. The pad Thai had no peanuts!!! Peanuts are always with pad thai - it's classic, unless you ordered without it, which we didn't. Also, we had to request for limes which are always part of it. The chicken onion had no cashews which are always part of the dish too. Perhaps, the chef was overwhelmed with take out orders which definitely got a quicker service than we did as dine in customers. Also, we thought she forgot how to cook our orders. We hope this was just an off day because in the past this place have excellent food and service. Maybe you need more chefs and help during your busy time. Will we comeback? We don't know or not for a long time. This visit left unpleasant experience.

Fast delivery. Quoted 45 min, it came sooner and the food was hot. It is also very reasonable. The pad thai was only ok. The egg rolls were only ok. The crab rangoon were only ok. I'm not in a hurry to try it again. I am in a hurry to find a delicious Thai restaurant in Oak Park...

Very satisfied with my Pad-Thai dinner. The shrimp rolls were very tasty. However, the spring rolls were only ok, I've had better ones at Lincoln Park. Service was excellently attentive. I'll definitely be back at some point.

Review for delivery only. We ordered the pad ki mao with shrimp, green curry with chicken, and the garlic stir fry with pork. Although we were quoted the delivery time to be 45 minutes, the food actually arrived in about 20. The food was very delicious and they did not skimp on the meat/shrimp at all. The one downside about the food is that even though it's marked as being spicy, the hubs and I felt that it wasn't spicy at all. Also, they didn't bring any utensils. :( we were in the process of unpacking and had to make do with just spoons.

I recently ate at Thai Oak Park Express with a friend for the first time. I ordered egg rolls and shrimp pad ki mao with extra shrimp. The egg rolls were delicious and hot. The shrimp pad ki mao with extra shrimp was flavorful. It was a pinch too sweet for me, but I believe that's because I did not request it to be extra spicy. Next time I will! The staff was friendly, and we did not have to wait long for our food at all. I will definitely be going back, and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone interested in Thai food.

This review is for one delivery, maybe not fair. The positives-- they delivered in the exact time window promised, not easy early on a Friday, woo hoo!. It was really cold out and I'm a little far away from the restaurant. Still, the food was pretty warm. The not-so-positives: the Pad Ke Mao, which I ordered based on other Yelpers comments, was too oily. The only heat came from one slice of jalapeño-, so I got one really hot bite, and the rest, gummy, sweet bites, and I'm not sure where the protein was (so I would order extra, next time). The fried appetizer item wasn't crispy, but I expected that when I ordered it, because of the cold, so my bad for ordering a fried item. I'll probably try it again, with soups and items that travel better.

Chose panang noodles with tofu, thai rice with pork, and beef pad Thai. None of the dishes were that great (the rice was pretty good) & another local joint (Mama Thai) has much better panang, my fav, so I guess I'll stick with them. Did delivery via GrubHub & while they made it within the window, restaurants in the OP area are usually good about arriving far ahead the estimate.

We were huge fans when they were on North Avenue and my kids were devastated when they closed. Now they are once again open and within walking distance! YAY! We could not be more pleased. The food is always fresh and tasty. They are reasonable and deliver quickly. So happy they are back!

Well done! This location has seen many restaurants over the last few years (some may say it's cursed!) but with right menu and a friendly consistent and loyal staff the right filks can make this place a gold mine! And I think this new Thai restaurant may be just what was needed! The food, which I picked up, was hot and freshly prepared with quality ingredients. I had the chicken Thai rice, pot stickers and egg rolls. Played it safe the first time around lol. The new decor of the interior was bright and inviting. Staff was soft spoken but very friendly. Prices were reasonable for the quality and quickness. I think the Chinese takeout place a few doors down might have some huge competition as I am clueless as to how they've been around this long. Can't wait to try them again.

When I first lived in Chicago, I lived ABOVE Joy's Noodles and it was heaven. It's been a while since I've had Thai food this delicious. We ordered from Thai Oak Park and they delivered pretty quickly. The food was steaming hot. The potstickers were still hot and crispy, and the dishes were excellent. So many times, the tofu in my dishes is overdone - not their tofu. It was delicious. My husband said that his chicken was really good. We will definitely order from them again.

For Oak Park this is as good as it gets. Ordered the takeout pad thai and it is always good. Wish they could spice it up to 11, but it is still quite good. Tofu satay is excellent as well.

Screeching sound of brakes!!!! Oh it's a new Thai restaurant. Glad I trashed my dinner plans and did take out. These are the folks from the retired Thai Oak Park that was on North Ave in Oak Park. I christened my first experience with Chicken Panang (my favorite) and Pad Kee Mao with Beef. Very Good. Good balance of veggies to chicken good heat level, was so caught up in chatting forgot to name my spice level. He recommended Pad Kee Mao for a first time customer and it was good, not all noodles and not overcooked and stuck together like most PKM ends up for take out. I like my Panang curry sauce a tad thicker but they had lots of basil leaves and well prepared, yes. So far so good. And I am so happy to finally have a good carry out in the hood. Will work my way thru the menu and let you know. Nice people too. Fast and friendly.

Really great Thai food and the delivery was fast! Fantastic crab Rangoon, nice and creamy inside with great flavor and crispy outside. I thought the Basil Chicken would be spicier and have a little more flavor, but it's still good and the chicken is very tender. Definitely will order from Thai Express again.

This place is right down my alley and it is exceptionally good. Just try it- great quality of ingredients, great flavors, nice people. I just hope it stays in business! Restaurants haven't had much luck in that spot.

Based on the good review, I ordered some dinner tonight from Thai Oak Park Express. Crab Rangoons - excellent. Much better without the sugary sauce. Red Curry ordered medium spicy was Very Spicy - I can take it so that was ok. The dish was just ok. But the Pad Thai was not good at all. No flavor, greasy noodles. I had ordered this medium spicy - there was no spice at all. Final decision: I don't think I'll be going back. Sigh. We need a good Thai AND a good Chinese place in oak park. Is that a lot to ask?!?!

These folks have turned this tiny place into a real destination. Delicious food, the best Pad Ki Mao I've ever had. Everything we've tried has been good (we've been there several times). Nice portions. Fresh. Very reasonable prices. I hope a lot of folks will find this little jewel because I want them to stay here for a very long time!

Just discovered this little "hole in the wall" in the neighborhood. We found the service, food and prices all to be good. The place also was very clean. It appears to be mainly take out, but there are several tables for dining in. We enjoyed the spring rolls and the Thai iced tea. Sweet and sour tofu was very good as was the glass noodle dish. Lots of vegetarian choices. A real find in the neighborhood! Just wish it was open for lunch as well.
