Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

I went here under protest as my wife is culinarily adventurous and I am not. We had some pretzel rolls with a parmesan and a mustard dipping sauce as well as the coconut chicken to sample. All of this was very good. Then I ordered a custom pizza of parmesan sauce, chorizo, prosciutto, and feta. It sounds weird, but this was an amazing pizza. They should come up with a mexi-greek-italian name and make it a staple. The dryness of feta with the wet chorizo and tasty prosciutto played off each other perfectly. My wife had the wild mushroom staple and added chicken and tomatoes. It too was excellent. She raved about it all evening. Go give Peel a shot and enjoy your meal like we did.

Very cool place, pizza amazing, they brew their own beer...a must go place The pizza dough is sooooo good... Love their menu, very cool with metal on the cover... You have to try it once and you will be returning, promise. .. Try weekend, I heard that upstairs, chef make special...need to go and find out myself...

I was a little upset because we came in right at opening on a Wednesday and we were sitting for over 10 minutes for our server to acknowledge us before another server had to step up for her. Jamie was awesome! The pizza was delicious and the double IPA was nice and strong and crisp without feeling way too hoppy. Ended up having wonderful service. It will be our new go-to date night. Thanks Peel!

Very nice!!! The hand tossed pizza was very nice and flavorful. The service was excellent!!! We had the jalapeño cheddar sausage, the wings and a flight of beer. However, they lost me with the $1.50 extra for Parmesan cheese for the pizza!!! Being from Chicago that was a bit much. However, if you want extra Parmesan, BYOP!!!

Tucked away from the main roads, but very spacious pizzeria bar. The garlic cream of mushroom soup is yummy on any day. We each ordered our own pizzas but my favorite was the one with chorizo! Will definitely return to try the others. Great place for a date night or girls / guys night out.

Best place on this side of the river for pizza and wings! Nothing tastes better than wood fired pizza and wings. They have such a good variety, it's hard to pick. They always have pizza specials, and they make them interesting. My husband and I go quite often as it is only 10 min from our home, so we have tried quite a bit of the menu. My favorite wings are maple bourbon bacon. Oh my. Chunks of bacon in a thick, syrupy sauce, make these the best wings ever. Who doesn't like bacon??? As for pizza, its really a matter of preference, and what you have a taste for at the time. They have good prices, and good portions! Also, their side of Mac n cheese is to die for!! So cheesy, its simply one of the best I have tasted. Their salad portions are quite large, and always fresh and tasty, so you can't go wrong with that. Overall, fantastic place to hang with friends and have good eats!

I really want to try this place again, the pizza was good, but the napkins on the table were dirty. I'm sure that they are mass washed, but I would figure they use a bleach or something, and you could see the fingerprints on them. I felt that the pizza was decent, but the sauce was a little overpowering. I would try them again and hope for a better experience! Seems like a really popular place, and I loved the building it was in, so I'll be back.
(3)James H.
Amazing pizza! Got the 11 inch trio it had pepperoni, sausage, bacon. They brew their own beer and have 2 bars one upstairs and one downstairs. The upstairs bar is where they brew the beer.
(5)Kenny R.
Great creative menu, and you get what you pay for! So it's pricey but worth it! Visited with a very large group at lunchtime and they handled it no problem. Great job! Oven fired wings? what! They were surprisingly good...awesome sauces. I'll be back!

I really wanted to love this place but I have to go with a solid like. The place looks cool and hip in a large warehouse type building. I think some of the decor was old and some of it was trying to be authentic but it doesn't really matter. There was zero wait because we were a party of two and opted to sit in the bar area. Our waiter was friendly and efficient although it seemed a bit forced. The bf tried their house brewed brown, @ $6, and we both found it to be overly hoppy and bitter. I had an Andersen Valley Winter Solstice, @ $6, which was a bit hoppy for me but had an excellent sweet finish. They do have a decent beer selection and an of wine selection. For starters we had House Wings with the signature spicy mustard sauce, @ $10.99. The sauce was good but not spicy at all. The wings were perfectly blackened on the outside and moist in the middle. We also had side Mixed Greens salad, @ $5.99, w/ Kalamata olives, artichokes, feta, red onions, roma tomatoes, smoked tomato vinaigrette. The ingredients were fresh and crisp. The dressing was good but not smoky enough. For our pizza we had the classic Margherita, @ $10.99, w/ Tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, and fresh basil. The pizza was fine but not phenomenal. The bf liked it better than I did but it still wasn't rated as awesome. The crust was nicely fired but the sauce didn't speak to me and the basil was lost in tastelation. If you are going to have a basic pizza it needs to blow people out of the water. We will probably be back but won't go out of our way to get here.

We've visited the original Edwardsville location twice, and, after a 30 minute wait, it was impressive both times. We ate at the newer O'Fallon location Friday evening at 6:30, and we were seated immediately! It is a much larger facility. The artisan pizzas are beyond comparison. I have had the wild mushroom, an Italian sausage concoction, and a special Hawaiian pizza with jalapeños most recently. All three were phenomenally good, though the mushroom was my favorite. With an extensive selection of craft beers (flights available) to complement the pies, Peel is definitely a restaurant we'll be frequenting.
(5)Little J.
The best salad EVER!!!Very nice staffs and yummy pizzas.Hubby ordered chicken dish and looked delicious. Not a big house brew beer section but they also do have imported beer selection.Loved the open kitchen concept.will definitely go back !!!!
(4)Melanie W.
We had a group of 6 for a late Sunday lunch. We all loved the maple bourbon wings, kids Mac and cheese, house salad, and the prosciutto involtini. Hubby enjoyed the paella. Kids pizzas and bacon potato pizza were just ok. Will be back for tacos and more wing varieties!
(5)Joseph C.
Here on business from San Francisco. This place would fit right in back home! Excellent atmosphere and great service. Had a house salad and the prosciutto and melon pizza special. The salad was extremely well balanced, fresh, with a fantastic dressing. The pizza had garlic infused olive oil and was cooked perfectly in their wood fire oven. They also had a great beer selection. Would highly recommend!
(5)Michael L.
Yelp pays in dividends once again!!! House salad, Buffalo Wings & a variety of pizzas... All excellent. Go forward and enjoy.
(5)Jennifer M.
Arrived during the Saturday evening rush but the wait wasn't long before being seated. The wait for my food was though. In fact I was the one at the table that did not get my meal until everyone else was half way through theirs. The chicken Satay appetizer was so dry I almost asked it to be taken off my bill. The chicken Mozzarella sandwich was also very dry. The side salad I ordered with it was over dressed and was giant. The Paella that my husband ordered was amazing. So was the shrimp Pizza!
(3)Helen D.
Love their Pizza. Thought it was a little expensive for lunch. Small salad, pizza and water plus tip over $24.00. Service was slow.
(3)Andy E.
This place is just as good as the location in Edwardsville IL. Our sever Jorge was fantastic. The jalapeño sausage pizza was amazing. If you are here from out of town you will not be disappointed. Hint save room for the Nutella pizza.
(5)Beth P.
I don't usually give this kinda review but OMG an organism for the senses the best food beer and close on service I've ever had. We being military have been a lot of places and have eaten out a lot but this place leaves me speechless it's so good
(5)Robin R.
So they do have Spinach salad. So good. But still no wifi. Live the food & the service b
(5)Kate P.
Great atmosphere, perfect to boost Main Street O'Fallon! Love the decor. The craft beers were great, Belgian was my favorite! We tried the Balsamic wings as an appetizer for three perfect amount split, they need to let the wings sit in the sauce a little bit longer...marinate those wings! The salad was awesome, it was the spinach fig walnut salad. Amazing, must try! The pizza's were great, we had the Prosciutto pizza and chicken Gorgonzola pizza. Both were excellent. We will be back. Very good staff for three days old, room for improvement.
(4)Amy M.
Incredible !! The appetizers were dead on! & the Caprese! Oh the Caprese! Delicious pizza! Only BAD! -- Wish they would branch out to the Missouri side of the river!
(5)Jarrod J.
Eaten here 5 times now and it's safe to say the food quality is excellent but the service is something to be desired. Delivering food to one person at a time at the same table is awkward and happens every time we go. Twice one of us did not get our first course at all after ordering. The last time we sat in the bar area overlooking the kitchen and we once again got served only one of our first courses. Asked the server and the boy in a tie at the food counter finally got it to us with the main course with half hearted apologies. Annoying and consistently bad service. Consider calling in to-go food. Maybe they'll be less likely to disappoint.

Service: Excellent Drinks: Excellent Food: Excellent Presentation: Excellent Facility: Excellent You definitely can't go wrong here. It is anything but generic. Unique, interesting, unpretentious, relaxing and satisfying. Welcome to O'Fallon, Peel!
(5)Jerry B.
Great food, busy place good service. OFallon needs more like this one
(4)Chris U.
I was really impressed with Peel from the servers to the food. It was extremely packed the night I was there but they seemed to handle it well. I had the Jalapeño Sausage Pizza which was fantastic. Some of the best jalapeños I've ever had. (See Photo) I also tried the trio pizza which was fantastic and the Buffalo Mac and Cheese looked extremely good. All in all, if you're looking for a good place to dine in O' Fallon then you have to try Peel.
(4)Johnna H.
After a wait to be seated, we were quickly approached by our waiter for our drink orders. We wanted to try everything we had heard were good here so we ordered the wings, house salad, and a chicken Gorgonzola pizza. Our wings came and they were hot and delicious. After an usual long wait our pizza came out. No salad. We cancelled the order for our salads and the manager on duty quickly came over and apologized and offered a free dessert. So we of course ordered a dessert, the caramel apple crisps and were not disappointed. Got the feeling we had a pretty new waiter who tried hard but just wasn't cutting it. Great food, poor coordination of everything else. I rated only a 3 because of the overall service. We will come back for another try.
(3)Olivia P.
I ate here with colleagues while at nearby Scott AFB for business. We ate in the upstairs bar area at a first come-first served high top table. For a Tuesday night, there was a wait, which we took as a good sign. We started with drinks and the pretzel rolls, all of which were good. We eat had our own pizzas, but probably could have split two pizzas between three people. We ordered the Trio, Jalepeno Bacon Ranch, and Chicken Gorgonzola pizzas. My chicken gorgonzola was absolutely the worst taste any meal has ever left in my mouth. I am not sure if I don't like gorgonzola (never been an issue in the past) or there something was off/rotten. My colleagues on the other hand both enjoyed their pizzas. I wish that I had ordered something different. However, I really liked the building, the service was great, and the prices were appropriate for the serving size. I loved the variety of toppings offered on the menu. It was much better than anything else that we were expecting to find in O'Fallon as far as uniqueness of menu and ambiance of the space. Over all, it was just okay, but had the potential to be great if I ordered a different pizza. I would be willing to try it out again if ever back in the area.
(3)James P.
Aces all the way. Food is delicious! Little disappointed with the desert menu. Blood orange craft beer was fantastic! Attractive staff complements an already cool atmosphere. If you own a restaurant stop here and take notes. This is what people want in a dining experience.
(5)Kevin W.
This is the coolest restaurant to come to O'Fallon yet. They have a great drink selection and everything they make has been wood-fired. Very good selection of their in-house craft beers I prefer the mushroom pizza. This is also a great place for kids as they have a macaroni and cheese that it's only three dollars it comes out about 1200° but the kids really liked it.
(5)Brady M.
Peel has quickly become one of my favorite local lunch spots. The location is a little bit out of the way, but I love the space. Most importantly though, I love the food. I have to say that Peel may have the most underrated salads in the area. I am not sure what is behind this trend of pizza places with great salads, but I am a huge fan. Anything that makes me feel like I am a bit healthier while eating pizza is much appreciated. All the salads I have had is fantastic. As far as the pizza, though not the best I've had locally (this would probably be "a pizza story") it is my favorite on the east side. I would suggest usually going with the special of the day to try it out, always a fun way to try new things you may enjoy. I usually sit at the bar (since I come here for lunch I try and get in and out) so I cannot speak too much about the service/drinks, but I will say that I am very impressed with the rest of Peel's second location.
(4)Kylee G.
So my family and I decided to try Peel for the first time, it was around lunch time so there was a 20 minute wait which wasn't bad. When we were seated our waitress greeted us right away and said she would be back. 10 minutes later we got our drinks, where my parents then ordered a margarita and a sample of redds Apple ale, never received either and instead we got a margheritta pizza, she seemed flustered and rushed and there was a time when we didn't see her for 20 minutes and still had not received our appetizer. By the time we finally got it my brother received his food, 10 minutes later I received mine, and then my dad received his about 10 minutes after mine. She had forgotten to put my moms food order in, she did however take it off our bill along with the extra pizza we didn't order. For the expense of the restaurant you would want to think the service was great, but nope Ps the bottom of my pizza was burnt to a crisp and was not appetizing, very disappointed

Went to this location for the first time on a Sunday about 1130. No wait. Food was pretty good. Not as good as the Edwarsville location. We ordered pretzel rolls and were told they were out of dough and had to make more. But 15 minutes later I saw some go out to another table. Then we order the prosciutto involtini. It was really good. But a comp on price difference was not offered and would have been nice. I got the wild mushroom pizza, which was good but again not as good as the Edwardsville location. Needed more sauce. I also got a trio pizza to go for the hubby and he said the crust was very thin in some places. Overall I thought the place was nice. Had a nice feel. But I do think they've got a little work to do to get it up to the Edwardsville standard!
(3)Kim M.
I've been hearing great things about this place and I'm happy to say, they are all true. We tried the Wild Mushroom pizza-Amazing. The parm. cream sauce and fontina cheese are melt-in-your-mouth yummy. My husband tried samples of their in-house brewed beers. I'm not a beer person, but he said they were all really good. We also had salad on the side. They have a nice feature that allows you to get any of their salads in side salad portions. Let me just say, the side salad portion is almost as big as some restaurant's meal size portions. Our waitress was fell informed about all of their food choices and she was very attentive. We will definitely go back.
(5)John D.
Great location. Building design is modern industrial. High ceilings and open. Pizza is the best! The house salad is terrific. Worth the drive, you won't be disappointed.
(4)Melissa E.
We've been here a couple times now, and it never disappoints! There is usually a wait but well worth it. The wings are very different - cooked in their pizza ovens, but delicious. The mac and cheese is to die for. They've also got a great beer selection. We will be back asap!
(5)Sean W.
Just moved to the area from Southern CA and a friend invited me here. We have lots of wood fired pizza places in SoCal, so this isn't my first rodeo. The restaurant is a neat old part of O'Fallon in renovated building and has a sort of loft-y vibe to it. I went on a Sunday and was seated quickly, but I heard that getting in on Fridays and Saturdays can sometimes come with a wait. I ordered a chicken caesar side salad, which was very large and delicious, and the ricotta pizza. For the record, I was trying something new that I'd never had before. I thought everything about the pizza was good though a bit bland. It was just missing a little zing. I'll try something more spicy next time and update my review. I also happened to imbibe two of their specialty beers: Belgian, and raspberry wheat. Both very delicious. It should also be noted that their service was fast and friendly. I'll be making this joint a mainstay from now on.

When my grandmother was young, she danced at the Moonlight Hall here. When my mom was young, she spent her weekends roller skating upstairs and bowling in the basement. When I was younger, my sister tended bar at the Idle Hour Lounge. While I was in town for the holidays, I had to check out the new restaurant in this gorgeous historic building. First, I love the respect for the history of the building that I could feel while I was here. The original wood flooring is still visible in the upstairs seating area, and the antique bar downstairs has been restored and put back into use. The manager and hostess that we spoke to were both knowledgeable about the history of the building, which made it all the more exciting to visit with my mom. We went for lunch because we'd been warned about the long wait times. Getting there at noon, we waited about 25 minutes for a table for 5. Had we been a few minutes earlier or a smaller party, we would have gotten a table much faster. I will concur that the parking is a nightmare. Downtown O'Fallon simply doesn't have the capacity for the number of cars that are going to be flooding that area on a regular basis. The area needed a public lot before this restaurant went in. Now it needs it even more! The food was excellent. Order an appetizer - wood-fired pizzas do take a long time, and the crowd of people aren't going to help in getting it to you faster! We got the garlic cheese bread, which was wonderful. We had two pizzas at our table, the trio (a more classic meat and cheese pizza) and a maple bourbon pizza (pulled pork and a great maple bacon flavor). Both were excellent. I'd say it took about 45 minutes for the pizzas to come out. We finished up with the S'Mores dessert pizza. We don't drink, so I can't give a review of the quality of the beers. The prices are reasonable for the quality of food (one 11 inch pizza runs about $13 and easily feeds two), and I found the waitstaff to be very attentive, despite the busy nature of the restaurant. My tea never ran dry and plates were cleared quickly. This is not going to be a quick in-and-out restaurant. Go with patience and enjoy the food and the company. Get a drink at the bar downstairs and think of the 100 years of O'Fallon residents who have been in that exact spot. I sincerely hope that downtown O'Fallon can continue to get a bit of a face-lift so that it can once again become the vibrant place that my mom knew when she was young.
(5)Larry C.
The Reuben pizza is delicious, whomever thought that up is a genius! Their IPA was excellent as well, I will definitely be back to try some of the other menu offerings.
(5)Gary G.
Visited Scott AFB on a TDY trip and this place was recommended. I had dinner here the first night based on the recommendation. The second night I had dinner with an old friend who asked about having dinner here without knowledge I had eaten here the day prior. I was ok with it though. I had a pizza the first night that was ok...didn't make me say wow or anything. I was interested in returning after reading reviews for their wings that claimed to be so good...I was impressed with them. I'd return just to have their wings. They offer a good selection of beers including a sampler that I tried both nights. I thought the food prices were a bit pricey overall but it was a good experience and nice place for the O'Fallon community.
(4)Kaitlyn R.
I loved the mixed greens salad! I tried a beer I haven't tried before based on the bartenders recommendation! It was such a beautiful place!
(5)EJ N.
Would have to concur with much of the commentary by a previous poster by the name of "Sasha D." What is most important here is the "Food Experience." With literally NO quality competition in the area, Peel already has won half the battle by just showing up. The Good... Arrived after normal dinner hour 8:00ish, on the Tuesday prior to Thanksgiving, so grabbed a seat at the bar with no wait. Ordered the Caesar Salad and the Margherita Pizza. The salad was definitely fresh, made to order, quite tasty and perfect portion size for me. Would give it 5 Stars! The pizza also was correct portion size and tasty. They skimped on the amount of basil and would have much preferred just cooking the pizza with whole basil leaves versus rolling them up in some strange configuration. If you like basil, then please ask your server to add extra while ordering. For this area, there is no better pizza around! I also had a glass of the Blend (Red) and believe it was a Raymond. It was satisfactory for the price point of $7.00. The determining factor in what brings me back to a particular establishment is the Value offered (Quality/Price) relationship and Peel definitely met that standard. Now for the Room for Improvement.... I bellied up to the downstairs bar and was immediately turned off by the incorrect sized bar stools in proportion to the height of the bar. (They need to get higher bar stools and I am 6' 2") Secondly, the bartender, although friendly, was a bit "jacked up" which was the the last thing I needed after a very long day. After inquiring about the "In-House" Beers, I chose to sample the Belgian White and found it a bit underwhelming and settled for the wine. I found the energy and overall design and layout to be a bit lacking. With such a beautiful canvas to work with considering the large windows, high ceilings and square footage, they fell short here. It is an art form to transcend some former multi-purpose building into a work of art and a place where people like to hang out and share community over good food. That is why you pay the big bucks to a true Professional who can work their magical gifts and create something amazing. You want customers to talk about the "experience" in addition to the food. I would say that the owners were more concerned about their bottom line here. Would have been nice to have invested those dollars in a better look and feel versus making an attempt to brewing "In-House" mediocre beer. They do offer a very good selection other beers on tap from people who do know how to make good beer. Based on other reviews here, are they a bit over their head with generous seating for over 180 and such long waits and not enough cooking capacity? Or, is it just some time required for them to work out the kinks? In the meantime, get a refund on those bar stools and get some new ones which are more appropriate for the height of the bar. Will give it a bit of time and re-post.
(3)Julia H.
Loved it! So nice to get nice restaurants that focus on ingredients and flavor! Now since it is new they are still working out some kinks, but overall this is now a go to place for us!! Salads were great, bar awesome and gluten free pizza was good. The gf crust was a bit dry, however the toppings more than made up for it!!!! We will definitely be back!!$
(4)Scott M.
Wonderful experience - waiter was Craig who really took care of our table. One of our group has a food allergy, but wanted a specific dish, so Craig and the chef did an on the fly change to the recipe to accommodate us - dish was outstanding! We highly recommend this place!
(5)DJ W.
Excellent service, excellent pizza, great atmosphere. We visited on a Saturday night, and were immediately seated. Appetizers were fresh, beer selection was over the top.
(5)Yogi M.
Short and simple this place is awesome. Excellent beer and pizza selection! It's more of a gourmet type of pizza and a little bit more pricey than the average pizza but it never disappoints! Spacious, clean, large bar area and bartenders and waitresses are good.
(5)Jen W.
Peel is so good. I love their chicken Gorgonzola pizza, and will often get a whole one just for myself (to take home for leftovers). The buffalo mac'n'cheese is also super delicious. Sometimes I find that the service is a bit slow, or the restaurant can get pretty crowded, but as long as it's not a rush/peak time it is worth the try!
(5)Yvonne F.
The salads, spinach artichoke appetizer, and tacchino sandwich are scrumptious! Big portions so share!
(4)Joshers A.
Great pizza. Great atmosphere. Great service. This place is more of what O'fallon needs. The pretzel roll appetizers were good and the bacon pizza was great. One word Bacon. They have about 6 microbrews on site. They are good. Try one. It's O'fallon IL not New York, this place is way over the top for O'fallon IL.
(4)Scott D.
Great renovation of the historic building in O'Fallon. Nice atmosphere. Upstairs has a larger setting area. Bathrooms are upstairs. Delicious pizza at decent prices. The staff was attentive and appeared to be hard working. They have 4 of their own beers on draft, along with nearly 20 others. Peels brews are average, nothing special (coming from a beer enthusiast). Beer prices are on the high side ($6+ for a glass).
(3)Mica M.
Peel is awesome. I'm so happy they have an O'fallon location now. The pizza is awesome!!! Best chicken wings I've ever had!!! Don't forget to try the chef's dessert they rotate different ones in...and they're always AMAZING!!!! And there's so many different types of beer to choose from. Peel is easily one of my favorite places.
(5)Robin H.
I. LOVE. THIS. PLACE! The food is phenomenal...at least everything we had was! One of the reasons I wanted to go to Peel is because of the paella on their menu. It's not common to find paella at most restaurants and it so happened that the ingredients (shrimp, chorizo and chicken) are my favorites in this dish. Well, I was not disappointed! It is served sizzling out of the pizza oven...the amount of saffron used was perfect and there was just enough of a kick with the spices to make it delicious! I'm not a paella expert and I don't have any idea how authentic this version is...all I know is that I can't go to Peel and not order it!!!! A plate of paella and a glass of Chianti is heaven! I have tasted other things from the plates of my dining companions and can also vouch for several of their pizzas, the cheese garlic bread, the pretzel rolls and a special apple dessert they were offering with a caramel dipping sauce (DELICIOUS). The secret to beating the crowds and slow service is to arrive right after they open. We have done that with every weekend visit and have had no problems with either. I highly recommend this place!
(5)Jay P.
Loved this place. Much better alternative to PI pizza. Food was great and comes to you very quickly. Server stated it takes 90 seconds to cook one pi in the oven. Only losing one star for the strange booth set up that forces you to sit very closely to other parties. Try the Mac.
(4)Mrs. Honesty ..
Overpriced. I could of made better microwave food. I wasn't impressed and neither was My Husband. We were hoping it lived up to at least some of the hype but it just let us hanging.
(1)Anthony H.
First time here...what an awesome lunch. My only complaint is that the barstools in no way match the bar (too short, have to sit with your hands almost above your head). 10 unusable seats are no good but luckily there was an open table nearby. Side salad...fresh but that is the norm at most places. What brought it all together for me were the croutons which were clearly made today and the house vinaigrette. Smoked jalapeño sausage pizza followed right on time. Personally, I hate bacon on a pizza so I ordered it without. What a tasty pie it was! I'll enjoy the smell of firewood on the way home because I couldn't eat it all. Saw more than a few items on the menu that I want to come back and try. Nice job Peel!
(4)Randy V.
First Let me say we eat out at multiple (some upscale) St Louis Area Restaurants and historically we have liked Peel... We drove multiple times to the Edwardsville location before the Ofallon location was announced/open. During a recent (repeat) visit to the Ofallon location we each ordered the standard sized Pizza (12" I believe) No Alcohol drinks, No Salads,No Wings/Appetizers,no desert.... Just the Pizza and as I recall one had water the other a soft drink. We didn't review the tab closely until returning home...Total? $42 plus tip. Yes this surprised us....as it is indeed high compared to similar fare elsewhere.

Amazing Thai red Curry Pizza. Red Curry, chicken, cucumbers, carrots, peanuts and Cilantro! Yumm!

We have been a fan of this place since the Edwardsville location. We were super excited to hear that they opened one in O'Fallon. It was a great experience and the store is much larger than the other one. However, Friday night around 5 to 6 p.m. Is an extremely busy time there so if you choose to go please be wary of. The food was still fantastic, we tried a new gyro pizza that wasn't going to be there much longer. Still great food and highly recommended

Wow! This Peel is awesome, with tons of space. I definitely prefer this one over the small, packed Edwardsville location. Our party of 11 had plenty of room and the service was fantastic. Our drinks were always full and we had everything we needed. The food was great. I had the tomato bisque and side caprese salad (good-sized portion), which was spot on! I also tasted the bacon potato pizza, which was SO good!

TERRIBLE service! & they forgot to put sauce on my pizza!?!?! AND I JUST FOUND A METAL SHAVING IN THE PIZZA SERIOUSLY?? I was breaking it apart to look for sauce and this is what I found. I can't believe this. Just spoke to manager Kathy she said she would give us a 20$ giftcard and the metal was from the steel wool they use to clean it. I don't want your 20 dollars, or your cleaning supplies in my food. Keep it all. NO THANKS WONT BE BACK

Was not impressed with the spaghetti and meatballs. Tasted like our was still in the fire. I'll stick with pizza

Great pizza, great beer and awesome salads - especially when it's Brussels sprouts season. The Brussels sprout salad is fabulous!

Kind of crowded at times but that might be because it is new. They have great salads. I liked them in Edwardsville and I like them at the new Peel in O'Fallon. Truthfully have never tried their pizza but it looks good. Not a chain restaurant which I love!

Love their food we've been going to Edwardsville location for couple of years. So glad they are closer now so we can visit more often. Everything we've tried is delicious a favorite place to take out of towners, once they've tried it they always want go back every time they visit and I'm happy to take them. Had the salmon special this weekend cedar plank salmon with a tomato bacon jam house salad with house made mustard vinegrette perfection!

It's not Peels, it's Peel.

Have been to both locations and really like the open atmosphere at the O'Fallon location with the tall ceilings, tall windows . Plenty of seating for small and large groups we had 15 with a short wait and the food came out fairly quickly. And the food is very good... I had the Wild Mushroom pizza that will not disappoint... and the beer is quite tasty.

I loved their other location and really wanted to like this one too. The server took my husbands order then not mine. She brought him beer then questioned me "if I was sure" as to if I could drink when I wanted a blended alcoholic drink. I told her we'd be there 1-2 hours and wanted to have the drink done with very little alcohol and said I'd be fine to drive 2 hrs later. She never brought me my drink despite asking several times for it. I think noticed she did this to the women at 3 other tables. All of which were not happy. I can understand them not serving drunks or allowing people to drink so much they get that way then drive, but why deny patrons even a drink? and by blowing them off? I was only served water even though after awhile I asked for a "virgin" blended drink. My pizza dough was raw while my toppings were cooked & crisp. The food took a long time to get to us, and the server was hard to track down. In the middle of our meal there was a shift change and the 2nd server was MIA too. 2.5 hrs later I was thirsty, hungry, and frustrated. After our trip their, I spoke to 3 other couples that had been there only to find out that the other women had the same drink issues, and none of them were happy with service there. The food is not the quality it is at the other location either. The menus is different too, and not for the better. We will not be back (and our friends had told us the same).

This place is so good. I don't know how anybody can give it less than 5 stars. They have a great variety of new things. We eat something new every time. The only problem I have is loving everything I eat and wanting to order everything on the menu the next time. Don't go here and order a pepperoni pizza experience the chefs creations and live life! Yummy!!!!!!

We got here at 10:50 on Friday for lunch, group of 10. Traveled 15 miles to get here, it now 12:15 and we have not been given a wait time and we are told we are next. The problem is the long wait. I don't know what time we get to eat cuz we have not been seated and no pre orders. Please avoid this place unless you have 3 hours to wait,

Food was great, but debatable whether it was worth the 30 minute lunch time wait after ordering.

I was so happy to hear The Peel was coming to O'Fallon. After quite a few trips for business and pleasure, I am very disappointed that it is not the same as what we were accustomed to at the Edwardsville location. Definitely getting tired of the long waits for food, cold food, and burned crusts. I am also equally disappointed in the beer selection. Why not have at least one style of most beers. How about one less trippel and put a Pilsner in draft. Unless work luncheons take me there, I'm done going there. I'll spend my time and money at Dewey's Pizza....very good pizza, consistent and hot pizzas, and a very good selection of beer. Here's hoping The Peel gets its quality straightened out.

I took my wife there for lunch, and we were promptly seated. The waitress brought out a beer menu and gave us a few minutes to look over the menu. It was fairly crowded, but our waitress was very attentive. We decided on the brisket bbq pizza. It did take a little while for the pizza to be made, but seeing as it's a made to order product, and not Pizza Hut, I was ok with the wait time. In the meantime, I had their beer flight, and while nothing really stood out as "I have to have this every time I come here", the peel brewed beers were good. The pizza itself was very good. Just the right amount of toppings so as not to weigh the dough down. We will definitely have to go back to try more of the different pizza options.

Took nearly 90 minutes to get an 11 inch pizza. Food was ok when it finally came. Wait staff was awesome and the only reason I would consider giving this place another shot.

Fourth time visiting the restaurant. The food continues to get better each time. Love the apple gorgonzola salad!

We waited for over an hour for a table. But when we were finally seated, we had wonderful service and the food was delicious. We will definitely return. And I would highly recommend.

Peel seems like a great addition to O'Fallon, however they experience tonight was awful. We waited 45 minutes for a table such wasn't too bad because it was crowded. The awful part was the wait after we placed our order. It took well over an hour before we were told it would be anytime. Our server was extremely nice and apologetic but unfortunately the manager was not apologetic at all. The manager brought us a pizza we didn't order and said it was extra from the kitchen and left it in a box at our table. I went to talk to the manager and the first thing she said was it was our server's fault for not telling us the restaurant is slow to make the pizzas. The manager did not say sorry for the delay nor did anything to help make the situation better. The manager also asked us how we expected end then to make 100 pizzas at a time and not expect it to take a long time. We responded that perhaps the seating capacity was too large and exceeded what the kitchen could produce in a timely manner. She never apologize at all for the experience. We ordered three pizzas and three drinks and were comped one pizza because of the wait.

We have been here several times and today's experience makes it less likely for us to return. Our waitress was awesome but the hostess staff was confused and upon walking in, we were seated after several people with the same size party were seated. We also wished to sit downstairs because the tables upstairs are too high for high chairs. Upon discussion with the manager regarding this issue, he disregarded it and advised there were no other seats for us. After we were seated I walked with my two children to the bathroom where I briefly waited for a family to sit down. The manager then persisted in squeezing by so he could deliver a pizza that was late to another table. We never received an excuse me or an apology for the seating confusion. We are dissatisfied for the lack of customer service and wished we received as little as an apology to make this experience better.

OK. I know pizza and I know beer. Peel excels at both. Took my loving wife, daughter and granddaughter today and will definitely be back. If you want a great server, ask for Ben. We will the next time we go back. Oh, and be sure to try the Belgian Strong Ale and the Oatmeal Milk Stout.

Pizza and wings are wonderful. We sat at the upstairs bar and had great service. The bartender was friendly and fun. Love the decor and ambiance. Same great food as the Edwardsville location, maybe better.
(5)Quinn J.
My husband and I had the fire and house wings. The fire wings were phenomenal. House wings were good but we preferred the fire wings. They are not overly spicy at all. Perfect combo. Loved the crust and flavor of the pizza. Will definitely be back. So much to choose from on the menu that it will take many trips to try it all.

Stopped with friend for dinner. It was ok. Loved the decor and the feel of the restaurant. Food? I had the cream of mushroom soup. It was good. Thick and creamy, but they added a sprinkling of dried thyme. It was a little over powering. I would ask they leave that out, if I would order it again. We also shared a pizza. It was good, but the crust was burnt. I did notice other tables being served pizza, theirs didn't appear to be burnt. So maybe it is hit or miss. Prompt service with attentive waiter. I will probably go back at some point with my family. Had better? Absolutely.

Was there for lunch today 11:30, everything was closed, bar stools up on the bar, doors locked. Brought friend s from St Louis. Definitely need to update website, it said open at 11;00. Never again. Went to Shooters open & good service & food.

Went there for lunch for a going away at work. Called 3 days ahead to try to reserve a table for 20 but they don't allow that. Showed up 30 mins before they opened to hold a table. We were seated fairly quickly but it all went downhill from there. Long story short it took 1 hour & 20 mins before most people got their food, others took 1 hour & 40 mins, & still others never got their food at all. Food is great, but certainly not worth the wait.
