It's sad how many times I've driven the ~50minute round trip or taken a 15+ minute detour just to come here for drinks since my first visit here a little over a month ago, especially when I have several options much closer to me. Those minutes and gas really add up! So I'm adding a star. (for consistency of quality) The freezes taste so irresistibly refreshing! I can count on every trip I take to be preeetty worth it. I usually take them to go and it'll be gone within the drive back. EXTRA ICE is key. They've been understanding about it, and it's perfect as long as I ask. As I said, I like it to have a thicker consistency, not a "freeze" that melts as soon as I stick a straw in it - that seems to be their default, so ask every time. Watermelon lychee, I've been staying with that every time, and it's a reliable choice. Bf has been more adventurous. Everything we tried tasted very real, as in not artificial tasting at all. Real fruits. I don't know if they actually add more sugar to their drinks, because the once his drink (mango peach) didn't taste too great was because it wasn't sweet at all, and all you could taste was tart unripe mango :( I'm not picky very about the texture or taste of the tapioca though so... I have no clue if theirs is done "correctly." Aside from my first time, I hadn't encountered any under cooked ones, and that's about it.

Omg I absolutely love this place!!! Had a huge craving for some bubble tea and found this place. Fruit is fresh and the drinks are all wonderful!!!!
(5)Arletta C.
Best Bubble Tea Place I've ever been to! I always get the Pineapple Coconut bubble tea with tapioca balls. I think their tapioca is delicious too! They have frequent buyer program which is fun! I think after you buy 10 you get the 11th free! Or something along those lines. The decor is fun and it's open late! Can't go wrong with that! The location is not ideal and it's hard to find a spot on a hot summer night. The parking lot is pretty torn up and not to long ago they were doing construction on Milwaukee Ave. But, it's totally worth waiting for a fresh delicious bubble tea.

Great place!!!!, very good shakes/smoothies. Staff is very friendly. After coming there for couple times the staff remembered what I like. Also love having the loyalty card each time you buy something you earn money on your card, which can be used for later.

I wish Liquid Fusion was a little closer to me because I REALLY love this place. I've been coming here since my high school years and this place is truly a gem! Even though I tried many other places "similar" to this one none of them are as good. They don't even come close! If you haven't been here yet, you are missing out! Do yourself a favor and check them out! Strawberry Dream is my go to choice and I always ask for both lychee and tapioca. Heaven!
(5)Nineveh Z.
I always got their vanilla latte( coffee freeze), it's very good. However, I needed some change and ordered a strawberry banana. It was sour! When I tried changing it, the guy looked at me like it is normal for a strawberry banana to be sour? And that I shouldn't even bother saying something about it. He had that attitude like okay? I'm sorry but I'm paying for something that I can drink and enjoy. Anyway, a while after I came with my friends and we sat there for a little. We didn't realize they were about to close, and the same exact guy had an the same attitude and said "okay guys we're closed now" it was 11:50. I work at a restaurant and customers are NOT kicked out of the restaurant, especially 10 minutes before actual closing time. I totally understand how frustrating it can be when customers come in late, but that attitude is not needed! If you don't know how to talk to people then you probably shouldn't work at place where you contact with customers.

I had a business meeting at Liquid Fusion today. Off the beaten path (I drove by it three times) and pleasantly unexpected, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. First of all this café is super clean, including the bathrooms. A sunny and calm atmosphere with music on low combined with free Wi-Fi., this lo-fi setting make it possible to get more than plenty accomplished. Though the temperature was a tad on the warm side, it didn't stop me from ordering a hot vanilla latte paired with a slightly warmed apple crumb muffin. For those who may know about my favorite cup, I order it wherever I can and it's not always so great. But, I have to say the barista nailed it here and my muffin was delicious. If you're looking for a great little spot to get away from it all, I say give this place a shot...a vanilla shot that is. It's completely worth it!

Liquid Fusion is a small and quaint cafe serving bubble tea and the like. It's not bad. It gets the job done if you're close and have a strong craving for bubble tea. But parking is cramped and there's generally not too much seating at the place. It also seems like a rowdy hangout place for middle and high schoolers.
(3)Katie T.
This place used to be the best, but just recently their service has gotten really crappy and they only give you like 3 tapioca balls in your smoothie now... No longer one of my favs.
(1)Mara S.
I'm sure most people come here for the boba milk tea or the slushy, blended drinks but I came for the iced tea and was not disappointed. I ordered the iced green tea with lychee and mango jelly and was a bit thrown off when the cashier asked me if I wanted sugar, but I agreed to it just in case. Overall, it was exactly what I was looking for. Not too sweet and you can actually taste the tea. I just took a star off because the jelly are in longer strips vs being "diced" like I'm used to, so it was hard to fit even in those fat boba straws. Still, I'll be back if I'm in the area to try the other 2 flavors of iced tea

If you grew up in Glenview and graduated from Glenbrook South, then it is impossible for you to not know about Liquid Fusion [affectionately known as "Liquid."] Liquid was/is a great establishment and still has what I consider to be the best bubble tea on the North Shore. Everything tastes fresh, the pearls are perfect, and the prices are on par with anything you would find elsewhere. So 3 stars? Yup. About 10 years ago, Liquid seemed to be one of the hidden treasures of the area. It was always pretty calm and was a great place to go chat and relax. As I've gotten older, the number of people has just boomed in this place. Granted, I am happy that Liquid is successful, but it has come with a few drawbacks. The Crowd: This place seems to be overrun with area high schoolers. Granted, I used to be one of these kids, but I don't recall being as loud as the people I see here now. Pair that with limited seating, and more often than note I find myself taking my bubble tea to go. Parking: It is a pretty crowded lot most of the time since it is in such a small/awkwardly shaped lot. That said, Liquid is still a great place to go for bubble tea. Just be prepared to wade through a sea of GBS/GBN hoodies and take your tea to go.

This is BY FAR the best bubble tea place in Chicago! I've tried quite a few places already, trying to find something as good as this once Korean restaurant in Toronto that I would literally drive for 8+ hours for :) Well, this is it! My first few visits, I would only get the Mocha banana which is to DIE for! Sooo good.... but I finally ventured out to another bubble tea flavor (vanilla latte). For any coffee lovers, this is great because it has a tad flavor of coffee with tapioca. YUM!!! My boyfriend recently tried watermelon tapioca and it literally tasted like a fresh watermelon, so I know they use real fruits (esp since I saw a watermelon in the hallway). Btw, it's the best tapioca balls I've ever had ;) I usually can't finish all of it, but at this place, I end up craving for more. They are open late every night of the week which is awesome, esp for those of us in the burbs that have absolutely no choices at 12 am. They also have a system where you buy 10 drinks, and the 11th is free. Great incentive. It's always packed with teens no matter what time I come there, but the service is always quick and I have my drink within five minutes of ordering it. I agree with some other reviews that the location isn't the best, but that shouldn't stop anyone from coming here because it really is that good!
(5)Angelica S.
I love this place! I have been coming here for years! I always get the fruit smoothies and occasionally the coffee flavored ones. They are all yummy! I love tapioca too. More recently they have added foods to the menu. The Belgian waffle with fruit is SO good. Comes with cream and ice cream. It's location and parking totally blows but it's worth the struggle. It's small so it can get super packed in there too, but they have some nice couches to sit at if you are lucky!

Before i start hoot and hollerin' of how Liquid Fusion Cafe (LFC ) is one of my favorite smoothie/coffee joints ever, i want to address one thing first! *The most common complaint that I've read from reviewers is that this place is hard to find. I'm going to agree with this statement because it's a small establishment that's connected to an even smaller lot, and it's nudged between several other businesses down the long and winding milwaukee rd. The trick I used to successfully find this place each time back when i was a LFC newbie was to simply look for the Sybaris. The Sybaris (aka bang hotel) is right across the street from here. It's got a large glaring sign attached to the front which makes this the perfect landmark to navigate you towards your destination. If you've passed it, you've gone too far. Since the two are adjacent to one another, i officially dub liquid fusion to be sexy by association* The decor is straight out of an ikea catalogue. Super trendy, colorful, lots of couches, chairs, cool lamps that look like ruffled daffodils, a great place for groups. The drink list is endless and surpasses any other drink place i've been to including starbucks and caribou. Many teas, coffees, lattes(mostly illy products) smoothies, decaf, no caff, you name it, they've got it. There's also a display case with desserts, and they have fruit cups and hot dogs lol. Regarding smoothies, there are many fruit combinations that one can choose from including exotic flavors such as lychee, honey dew, red bean, papaya, etc...Today i ordered a banana mango fruit freeze (aka smoothie) and it cost me $4. My smoothie was delicious and it was a great refreshing treat especially since it was hot as all balls today. Speaking of balls, tapioca balls! (which i am generally not a fan of because they remind me of slimy mid-cold boogers) I had some in my drink today and they were tolerable. More compact, less mushy than most places, but specify if you don't want them in there because i forgot to mention that today and they put them in there anyway. Lastly, I love the letter boards. Two blank sheets mounted on the counter provided with an array of colorful sharpie markers. Reading that board is hilarious, purely the doings of deviant teens with pervy imaginations. What I find even funnier is the small sign atop the board that says "WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY CONTENT ON THE BOARD" Yeah, i doubt a business would relish in the advertisement of penis drawings and "call this number if you're a furry" . Love this place, and I will keep coming back for more.
(5)Kelly M.
The bubble teas are usually super good but this last time it was nasty. It tastes like water and the fruit was barely tastable. They were so busy, so they might have just rushed it through. Anyways please dont downgrade your quality, i love your bubble tea.
(3)Lisa A.
For bubble tea, this is as good as it'll get in the north shore suburbs area. It doesn't have the best bubble tea but, it's real fruit and not that flavored powder junk. I've been coming here for years and it's consistently good, always the same and you know what you're going to get. Decent seating, open late, with a varied menu of drinks. Love the house tea or strawberry lychee freeze and both with tapioca. I wouldn't suggest buying any pastries here because I'm pretty sure they're bought from costco except for maybe the waffle. If you come on a weekend night, you might have to wade through the crowds of loitering teenagers and that's always fun.
(4)Nataliya A.
Yum is the best word to describe it. Frozen fruits plus perfectly made tapioca balls, what's better than a snack like this? Some places really make disgusting tapioca, but not Liquid Fusion. The fruit is perfectly blended, never feel the ice, and always creamy enough. I like it that they have the nonconventional combos too, such as mocha-banana. I actually really like that one. The frozen green tea with tapioca is really good too, a little bitter for some people's liking maybe, but great for me :). The coconut with pineapple tastes like a piña colada. The watermelon alone is reaaalllyy good, especially if you are a watermelon lover, it is real watermelon and not artificially flavored. The board where you can write with a sharpie anything you want is always a very entertaining thing to read / write on while waiting for your drink. I've had their frozen yogurt too. They have only vanilla with a variety of toppings. It is good and worth trying, but not the best that I've had... I like more variety. The service is always amazing. Usually it's the owner taking orders, and sometimes an employee, and they will always always always help you make a good selection. If something is a bad combination, they will tell you. If something is on the men but many people don't like it, they will tell you. Other businesses should learn from this great service. Even though some reviewers complained about the high schoolers hanging around this place a lot, I am actually okay with it. At least they have a place that is open fairly late, and they can just chill and stay out of trouble :). They have never gotten in the way of me getting a yummy drink. I've been coming here for years, and will keep coming for more as long as they are open. The only reason I put 4 stars and not 5 is because a couple of months ago I got to try the drinks at Joy Yee's and they were amazing. Even though I am truly devoted to liquid fusion, Ive had a taste of something a tad bit better.
(4)Angel R.
Never lets me down. Perfect amount of sweetness and coldness to the drink, the tapioca has a perfect consistency too, not mushy not hard. Wish they'd have a larger size cup but still better than joy yees to me
(5)Davin C.
I've heard really great things about this place. Especially about there Bingsu! So we arrive here with 11 more people, two of us order and the other order. Only to find out that they say "we have no more ice, we can not sell you Bingsu". So being very stunned to find out a place that sell a lot of things with ice and not be available? It must all very upset. Then as we are about to leave the place saying we all have yelp, they yell out "oh! We can give you four more". So thinking they just say "we have no ice" to "we can give you four more" confused us all. So to that, the staff lied to us about Bingsu. So we ask them "I thought you guys said you have no ice?" Without looking at us, they were saying oh, our machine was breaking and working slow because of the big rush. So all in all just VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED In this place! Had great expectations only to receive poor service. Do not come here, unless you want to be lied to.

Used to live in Florida and in cali, so u can imagine bubble tea places are around. When i moved to Illinois, i had high expectations for this state since it is more populated by Asians. Long story short, none of their drinks are decent, i jst buy em for d fix but not really a satisfying experience each time. The taro bubble tea in cali have real taro chunks in them with just the right amount of sweet, in Florida they put condensed milk and milk in their milk tea taro (they use powder but it has a higher quality taste); Pretty much the taste this place have is the in comparison to the $3 (cheapest in the area) Chinese restaurant in the area. Overpriced for a drink that costs 50cents to make.
(1)James B.
Awesome! I've had bubble tea at other cafes, but this one takes the cake! I especially like their tapioca balls. Go with your friends!!
(5)Joe R.
This place continuous to be my bench mark on how bubble tea should taste. It's a must have when I get home to Chicago. The owner is a very nice and welcoming person. Try the snickers, taro, and the kiwi strawberry. Yum!
(5)Janet V.
Love this place! Frozen smoothies are amazing! Tapioca is delicious not to mention the service is great! They have a loyalty member program! Best smoothie place ever!
(5)Richard K.
Best and most consistent milk tea with tapioca in the Chicago land area, in my opinion!!!
(5)Aimee M.
Almond Tea, Iced, with tapioca bubbles. I've tried it several places, but I think Liquid Fusion does this drink the best. When I lived/worked in the area, this was always my drink of choice--I never ordered anything else. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, right? It's been several years since I've been here, but after a Yelp event had me up in Wheeling, I knew I needed to visit one of my favorite spots. Still has the friendly folks behind the counter. Still has folks hanging out chatting, surfing the Internet, reading. Very chill environment (but this was a Sunday afternoon, so I'm not sure how evenings/nights are there--probably hopping?) The drink--excellent as always. Nice to know you can still count on your some of your favorite things.
(4)Chris L.
Best spot to grab bubble tea outside of Chicago (Joy Yee's)
(5)Sarah P.
This is the place to come if you are in the mood for freshly made bubble tea. It's a small cute cafe that offers many different beverages and flavors. Its a nice place to come and socialize with friends as well. They play recent pop hits and have drawing boards on the sides of the counter to entertain yourself with while waiting for your beverage. I only wish that they had better options for pastries or snacks, but other than that I love this place.
(5)Mei.jun L.
I am absolutely in love with milk tea, but was never able to locate a great milk tea place until I visited Liquid Fusion. I am not a connoisseur by any means, but ever since drinking milk tea from Taiwan and New York, my taste buds have been unhappy with the milk tea available from Joy Yee's. My visit to Liquid Fusion was amazing. I've visited several times since (admittedly, even driven quite a distance to fulfill my bubble tea craving), and the trips are worth it. I have never tried anything aside from their milk teas; I've had a sip of the strawberry dream, and while it was good, in my opinion, one of the unique things about this place is their milk tea. People who enjoy something sweet, but not too over-the-top may try the "House" Milk Tea, which is milk tea without any added flavoring. My go to is the Jasmine Milk Tea, which has a unique and sweeter taste and is an option which I've found to be rarer in the Chicagoland suburbs. For those who have found their drink to be unsatisfactory, remember stir your drink (or flip it up and down) when you receive your order to ensure that everything is properly mixed :) I'm surprised that people complain about their boba. I found the texture and firmness of the boba to be one of the pluses of this place. In short, if this is your first time trying Liquid Fusion and you are a fan of milk tea, I highly recommend trying theirs. For a location in the suburbs, their options are definitely unique and will offer a taste of something not available in many locations.
(5)Dave V.
Great place. Really good bubble tea and coffees. The owner is really nice and will remember you every time. Definitely a place to give a try.
(4)Daria K.
Best, best, best late-night cafe in the North suburbs! The drinks are exquisite, as are the snacks and Bingsu ice cream bowls! The owner himself works many of the evening shifts and is an awesome, gregarious guy. Most places in the area close around 9pm, but this place is open later (to 11pm, I believe, or maybe even later nowadays), and is the perfect place to hangout with individuals from different cultures. A lot of Europeans and Asians frequent the cafe. The decor is full of vibrant colors and the owner always have various magazine subscriptions laying around!
(5)Amanda B.
Only the best bubble tea place EVER. I compare all bubble tea to this place, as it was my first boba place and my favorite. Everything is amazing. I loved this place and then worked there briefly. Fresh fruit is used for all the smoothies. No stupid fake powders. They do use a sugar solution for the fruit smoothies, but that is not the sole flavoring. I highly recommend the fruit freezes, but my favorite will always be the white chocolate freeze. Free wi-fi (Someone mentioned there are no outlets...there are, look below your seat, there are tons along the wall)! The only thing that sucks is the parking and location. Easy to miss and the parking lot is tiny, but if you have trouble, you can park in the grocery and liquor store next door. The place is also very crowded, particularly popular with the Asian population in the area. Lots of students from the Northbrook and Glenview area. They're open till midnight or later, which makes it quite the hangout spot for high schoolers.
(5)Cecil S.
I'm not really a fan of bubble tea or tapioca balls (never caught on). So I pretty much ordered the same thing my friend got, and she loves this place - Strawberry, hint of coconut and something else I forgot. Regardless, it was delicious and yummy. One thing I will mention is that if the syrup is sitting in one spot, you should stir it up to get it to taste better. The interior is well furnished with chairs and sofas to lounge and converse while sipping on your smoothie. Back when I resided in Glenview, I used to live down the street from this cafe, and it's definitely a big Glenbrook South high school hangout spot. There's also a bulletin/chalk board for the customers to play with, and I remember one of my jerk friends put my number up there as a joke.
(4)Chris E.
Good smoothie. The guy working was very friendly and helpful. He helped me with the outlets and gave great service. Would come back.
(5)Aeris W.
This is probably one of the best milk teas that I've had so far in the Midwest, but that's not really saying much LOL... I was born in Taiwan, where tapioca milk tea originated and I grew up in the San Francisco bay area so I'm used to having good milk tea all the time. This place kind of reminds me of the milk tea chain, Quickly, which I rarely drink anymore when I'm back at home since there are so many other good places to choose from. I've tried the House and the Jasmine fusion tea; I wasn't very impressed with the Jasmine - It was way too sweet and had a weird after taste to it (like powdery taste). I'd recommend their House fusion tea which to me, it'd be on the same level as the Quickly milk tea (not the best milk tea, but acceptable, especially in the Midwest). As for their tapioca... They were flavorless, soggy, and not chewy at all so I'd just get the drink without the tapioca. PS - Just gotta clarify something for those of you that have never tried Liquid Fusion Cafe: The "fusion tea" on their menu is their milk tea menu so the "House" would be regular milk tea, "Earl Grey" is Earl Grey milk tea, and etc.
(3)Melanie V.
Free wi-fi, yo! It hasn't been that crowded when I've gone here, so it's a great place to study! Plus, since I currently cannot locate my iPod, I love that music is constantly playing (and it's top 40 or r&b, too! perfection.). It helps me concentrate! I tried the taro bubble tea and the house bubble tea. I LOVE taro, but, by far, the house bubble tea is my new favorite! It's $3 for the small bubble tea with tapioca. This place is open late, too - midnight on weekdays, 1am on weekends! FYI - I noticed some guys ordered the red bean bingsu and they were completely enjoying it. Yum.
(5)Cody K.
The bubble tea here is easily the best bubble tea in the US. I have been to bubble tea places in Utah,Iowa,Colorado,Indiana, Chicago (Chinatown), San Francisco, Oregon, and Florida. Liquid fusion is by far the best bubble tea I have ever had. I prefer banana coconut or a traditional strawberry bubble tea. You should definitely get tapioca because it is cooked to perfection and they put the perfect amount in the bubble tea. Do not be fooled by the weird location.
(5)Will C.
Best Bubble Tea place thus far after having them for over 10 years. They use fresh fruit and not the cheap syrup some ghetto places use. So the watermelon actually tastes like real watermelon, and not a cheap jolly rancher watermelon substitute. They blend the drinks really well, so there are no ice chunks, and the drink does foam up when you drink towards the end of it. They also have more options than just regular boring tapioca. I do have to try their frozen yogurt...seems like they have more options than Red Mango. Always a pleasure to go there....my only complaint would be the tweeny boppers and high school children that go there with mommy and daddys credit card....but oh well...it is in Northbrook/near Glenview...suburb yuppies...goitta love'em! But yes...drinks are great and priced well!
(5)Chris W.
It's a teeny tiny little place with coffee drinks and teas. Their Strawberry Dream bubble tea is fabulous, a little pricier than other places, but great quality. You can sit down or take your drinks to go. It takes a little longer than your in and out Starbucks run to get your drink, but worry not, they often have a long line in here for a dang good reason!
(3)Alex K.
Some of the best bubble tea in the area. I always drop by when I pass through! The atmosphere is pretty neat too.
(5)Yana M.
This is one of those places I hung out at in high school, and it fortunately hasn't changed much in 7 years. Basically, they make an assortment of fruit drinks and bubble teas with tapioca pearls, and Liquid Fusion's are the best I've ever had anywhere (having never been to Asia, of course). Their decor is cute to boot and they attract an authentic, if somewhat young, crowd.
(4)Dejan B.
I still like Chill Bubble Tea in Niles better then this place. We tried here on the 4th of July because it was one of the few places open in the area for bubble tea. It is in a really ugly little strip mall (I mean what strip mall is beautiful but still) and inconvenient/ill-designed parking lot...My almond tea was ok but thin/watery and the taste was more neutral then almond...The pineapple and mango's of the others with me was better tasting and thicker as they should be...The music was annoying and a little too loud but thankfully everyone else had a good time. I do not think we will be stopping here again.
(2)Stu C.
Liquid Fusion .. . .wow, where to begin? I stumbled in on a rainy Tuesday and just started downing Honeydew fruit freezes! I was so dehydrated I must have drank like 4 lol! Then I met an old highschool friend and started drinking some fusion tea - I started to feel like I was floating!!! I was so dizzy when I left that I couldn't even find my car lol! Anyways great time, great service and Im heading back ASAP!!
(4)Kammie G.
This is my favorite bubble tea place in the suburbs. It's about 15 minutes away from my house driving but it's all worth it. Their smoothies are phenomenal! My favorite is the Strawberry Dream, which is kind of like strawberries and cream but much better.. oh yes. The Mocha Banana is really good too however it gets boring after a few sips of it. The taste is kind of bland, in my opinion. Various fruit combos are all good too. The shakes taste fresh and they are delicious. Their tapioca balls are done just right MOST of the time, sometimes they are too hard or too soft, but it happens, we all make mistakes. Also, I have tried the frozen Jasmine bubble tea with tapioca, and it's really good, i recommend it as well. A funny thing that happened when I was there once, I wanted to try the Melon Ah smoothie, which according to the cashier lady it was the same as Strawberry Dream except with Melon instead, or honeydew or something. I wanted to try it. She was so good at convincing me NOT to try it that I decided against it. "Are you sure you want it? We dont take refunds.. Like seriously. Are you sure? It's like melon and milk..." So I didnt wanan argue with her anymore and just got something else. So apparently, the Melon Ah is not very good? Althought I'm still curious to see how it tastes like. The place is open late and it has a cute little area to hang out.
(5)Jason P.
Probably the best bubble tea that the north suburbs provide, but the only reason why I'm giving it three stars is for the insane amount of high schoolers and asians that go there. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE DAMN IT!... The strawberry-watermelon freeze is my favorite.
(3)Jisha J.
This place had some really delicious bubble tea! I had the milk tea with the boba and it was awesome. I got my brother the mango fruit slush and that was also really good (I had to have a sip!). It is a little tricky to find because it's in this small lot sandwiched between other stores. I have been wanting to find a great bubble tea place that's closer to me, and this one does the trick! Overall, a great place that I will be visiting again before I go back to Denver!
(5)Eugene K.
The Good: The reason this place gets a 4 star is their boba (bubbles). I have been to liquid fusion give or take a hundred times in the last 4 years. Their boba is consistently fresh tasting with great texture. Nothing is worse that sipping a tasty tea with hard boba. I love their House tea, it has a taste of mocha that just hits the right flavor profile for me. Aside from this I can give an honorable mention to their Cookies and Cream coffee freeze (be sure to ask for boba). The Bad: Aside from the few things I would get there a lot of the other flavors don't shine. The Ugly: The place is always BUSY. You're lucky if you can land a parking spot or even a seat on a Friday / Saturday night. Just plan on being in and out. I do have to mention that I do prefer their tea over Joy Yee's, St. Alps, and other Chinatown teas because it suits my palate. It's a richer, creamier tea that has just the right amount of sweetness. Maybe I'm too used to this, but the lighter more "tea" flavored teas are delicious and delicate, but I would decline them for Liquid's house tea.

Best bubble tea in Illinois
(5)Mai T.
Liquid Fusion is the "best" place for bubble tea located in the suburbs...eh, they're so-so. It's located in this TIGHT small strip with a hair salon next door and I believe it's a subway on the other side. You walk in and you automatically get this hot humid-ness to the room. It has a weird sweet smell and is very small. If you're planning on coming here for some bubble, don't plan on staying. Yes, they have a long booth with about 3-4 tables on there, but it's not really "nice". If you were to have company and they sit on the booth side, no problem. For the rest of your group that sits on the other side, they will have to sit in these weird seats that are not comfortable. They try to be modern so then in turn get these chairs but they do no justice to that bottom of yours! The drinks are "interesting". They have a limited selection on the menu so you really can't "go wrong" but then again you have to make sure you make the right choice. I'm not bashing on the drinks because they are at least decent, but don't think this is the only place in the burbs where you can find other bubble tea drinks. Where you may ask? Jockey's Wok 'N Roll (Schaumburg & Arlington Heights) Pho Ha (Glendale Heights) Asian Noodle House (Schaumburg)

I spent many an evening here giggling with high school friends, scribbling inappropriate things on "the board," reminiscing while home on college vacations, people watching, and sipping delicious bubble tea. Ah, the memories. Liquid Fusion is a tiny storefront on an unassuming strip of Milwaukee Ave. in that no-man's land right between Gleview, Wheeling, and Northbrook. Surrounded by Sybaris (can we say no-tell-motel?), Glenview Produce, a few churches, and a Korean PC-ban, the small, brightly painted shop pops. On any night you wander in-- it's one of the few places open late in the area--you're likely to be greeted by tons of area students (both Korean and non) hanging out on the Ikea furniture, flipping through their selection of fashion magazines, and studying. They proprietors seem to do a bustling carry-out business too. As far as food and beverage offerings, the fruit freezes are what really shine here. Made with fresh fruit, ice, and sometimes a dash of cream, the texture of the sweet, silky smoothies contrasts perfectly with the chewy, firm tapioca bubbles. Like earlier reviewers said, the Strawberry Dream is awesome. In addition to the fruit freezes, Liquid Fusion offers a variety of delicious hot teas, illy coffees, and milk tea. The desserts are nothing to write home about but the cafe does serve some unique Korean dishes hard to find elsewhere. Try the fruit bingsu (or patbingsu), dessert of shaved ice topped with diced fruit, red bean, and ice cream.

Been going here for years. On the weekends they're open until 1 am and where else is a teenager to go in the suburbs?? The tapioca drinks are delicious! The man who owns it is super nice. They are moving closer to me in Lincolnshire and I couldn't be more thrilled.
(5)Ania R.
AMAZING bubble tea! omg i'm in heaven at this place! i've tried plenty of flavors, some mixed together. but the best is hands down the watermelon bubble tea with tapioca!! AND to top it off its open really late. Very much so recommended.
(5)Eric P.
Liquid fusion oh how I wish you were closer to me... But how I always end up there is ridiculous and even more to think I can be productive and study there is absurd. But this review is more than just this. Their bubble teas are simply the best. I've had joyees, tea leaf, seven treasures, and coffee haus and Liquid just blows them out of the water in terms of taste and their tapioca. Look fresh tasty fruit without good tapioca is like chinese food without rice. Yeah the main dish is great and tasty but rice compliments it and completes the meal. If this analogy doesn't work for you, I'm terribly sorry forgive me. But seriously their tapioca's texture is perfect, not too soft, not too sticky, subtle sweetness, and perfect firmness makes this the best boba tea. Not only that but their fruit is always fresh and sweet! Real fruit my friends! And not only that but they have free wifi and have a club card in which you use to get a point for each purchase; 10th one gets you a free small boba tea! But make sure you give the card before you pay. Other than this my only gripe about the place is the price is a bit high for a simple drink but not over the top. Also the place is usually packed with people and there ain't much space so it can get quite rowdy especially with the high schoolers coming in and out. So if you want to study, make sure to bring ear plugs or headphones or better yet just get your awesome boba tea to go and study at panera, or dunkin robins. Well what you waiting for, go enjoy the best boba tea! Oh by the way my favorite drink is Mango Watermelon Lychee with tapioca! Hands down the best combination! Try it, you will not regret it!
(4)Tony M.
liquid fusion has great smoothies.but not so great prices. they can be pricey but well worth it. The mango lychee with tapioca is great if you like that. the staff is nice and is very helpful when you don't know what to get. cool place to hang with friends.
(4)Jessica K.
This is the best "smoothie" place in the burbs seriously delicious. Try the Mango, Strawberry, Blueberry.. Very yummy. not a fan of the tapiaco balls. But i've had better smoothies in China Town but this place is very good for being in the burbs
(4)Demetrio P.
The bubble teas are okay here. I tried their Melon-Ah fruit freeze/smoothie drink, Melon fruit with milk, and the wife had the Mango Lychee fruit freeze/smoothie drink. Both were good, nothing really special to drive all the way out to Northbrook for. But if you're in the proximity, give them a try if in the mood for a nice cool fruit freeze/smoothie drink. Overall, good fruit freeze/smoothie drink, good service, okay prices.
(3)Crystal K.
When I walked in, this place was overall crowded with.......Koreans...(its okay Im Korean too). No seating any where. Any who, I never heard of a boba place that mixed flavors! Most places would refuse. I decided to have red bean and coconut fusion & I absolutely loved it! It was perfect balance! Definitely will be coming again!
(4)Alice M.
My favorite bubble tea place! I literally drive at least half an hour to get one and it's well worth it! All of their strawberry concoctions are sooo delicious and craveable. Also, this is the first place at which I've liked the taste of tapioca (and still one of the only places I like it).. it's sweet and the texture is good (not too mushy, not too hard). The only downsides would be that it's kind of hard to find if you don't know where it is, there isn't much seating (but I usually take it to go), and there happen to be too many high school Asian kids especially if you go there late at night lol. Go there for the fruit freezes with the tapioca.. I just tried the earl grey milk tea (my new obsession) and it wasn't so good there.. maybe I'll still try their house milk tea?
(5)Mike S.
I promise that you will not find a better bubble tea in the Northwest Suburbs than at Liquid Fusion! My friends and I love this place, and we go there often. They offer a club card, so after 10 purchases, you get a free regular sized drink. It's free, and it's definitely always a pleasant surprise when one of those free drink coupons prints out with your receipt! Like other yelpers have said, the parking does suck at this place, and it's true that it's easy to pass it up if you don't know where you're going. That being said, it's pretty obvious that Fusion's bubble tea is something special seeing as it's almost always crowded there! Also, it is true that a lot of high school kids go to this place, so things can get kind of loud sometimes. Liquid Fusion is great, and it's only growing in popularity over there years! You should go there to experience tapioca excellence! Random Note: The front door makes a sound when you open it, and since the place is small, everyone hears it and looks at who is coming in. It's an awkward moment, but everyone goes through it as they enter to store, so it's no big deal; just something that was on my mind.
(5)Luiza R.
This place is a must-try! I've been going here since I was in high school and still consider myself a regular. They have the BEST smoothies, my personal favorites are the strawberry mango and the mocha freeze. Delicious. The tapioca balls can be a bit overwhelming, but if you can ask for a little or none. They have loyalty cards which come to be very useful! Buy 10 smoothies and the next one is free. They're also very reasonably priced :)
(5)Carol C.
went here 2-3 weeks ago for the first time. normally when i go to the chicagoland area, i tend to get my bubble tea fix at Joy Yee's. i have to say that this place is very good. my go to flavor is usually mango or mango-lychee. tried the mango-lychee and i was very pleased with how they made it. there was a good balance between the two flavors, often times one of the flavors dominates the other, but this was the perfect mix. would definitely come again! my only complaint is that the place is kind of small for the amount of customers they have coming in. parking is limited as well, but rest assured, it is worth it!
(4)Jen L.
FREE WI-FI and generous amounts of tapioca pearls in their bubble tea gets this place a generous four stars. Actually, the only reason I go to this joint is for the tapioca pearls. God, I could live off that stuff. If you want to come to this cafe for a nice quiet evening, try again. There are always packs and packs of high school teenagers overflowing the place at night. And loud hip-hop in the overhead speakers. But once again, free wi-fi. Is it worth it? You tell me. Also the hours are pretty amazing for the suburbs: weeknights open till midnight, weekends open till 1am. Sometimes I really need to satisfy that midnight craving for tapioca. So thank you, Liquid Fusion. I'll miss you when I move.
(4)Tiff S.
Even though most of the drinks aren't made of fresh fruit, they are still refreshing and does the job to satisfy a bubble tea craving. "Strawberry dream" is by far the most frequently ordered among my group of friends and each time I introduce it to someone who's never had bubble tea before, they've always loved it. But my personal favorite is ice green tea passion with bubble, clean taste with less calories :-P Parking is a bit difficult, but somehow everyone always manage to find a spot. And a good thing is that the plaza is small so no matter where you park, the store is only a couple steps away. It is a popular hang out place for students and church youth groups...so it gets pretty pack on weekend evenings.
(4)Minah L.
my Glenview residents claimed this used to be "the place" where glenview kids hung out at.. and the atmosphere indeed is high school clique friendly. i wanted the hibiscus tea but they don't offer that iced. was very upset about that.. :(( so i settled with the ICED GREEN TEA PASSION. unfortunately, can't say it was good tea.. too watery.
(3)kahee y.
before it was joy yees. during my high school years, we made the trip down to evanston. then came along liquid fusion. fresh fruits and great teas. when id visit home during my college years, id always make an effort to swing by "liquid" (as we cool kids called it) for their house tea with tapioca. honestly, i havent had any bubble tea in ny that comes even close to liquid (or joy yees).
(4)Rachel M.
Hate the parking situation, it's so limited. Can't stand the annoying kids that frequent this place. Regardless, I return here at least once a week for bubble tea or the bingsoo. I could eat the bingsoo every day, it's that good. The staff is quick and friendly. Wish they had a better pastry/snack selection.
(4)Kelly E.
I'm here like twice a week. I usually order the Strawberry and Raspberry fruit freeze with tapioca pearls. I order my fruit freeze with no sugar (and although they usually try to talk me out of it, I think it tastes wonderful this way) because I find the added sugar to be too sweet for me and quite frankly too many calories (cuz for me, I'm gonna waste calories on food, not drinks). This place is a hidden gem...a rectangular strip mall (weird, I know) wedged between Milwaukee and Sanders...they are open late...they have whimsical modern decor..I usually head out the door and don't hang, but all the local kids do. Super cute place...super friendly and nice owner.
(5)Janice L.
i had so many kinds of bubble tea in new york and i still think the bubble tea here is the best. my favorite concoctions: strawberry coconut lychee peach mango strawberry mango yum! i never chill here anymore cause i feel so old. i used to chill here when i was in high school.. and it's been decades since jk but everyone looks like babies /: but even though there are long lines, i never have to wait too long. sometimes, it could be a tad bit sweet
(5)Amy L.
This place was disappointing...I tried their milk tea and it did not meet my expectations but I think next time I should try their freezes. Free wifi was great but it's a little useless to stay there long for me and my laptop as there are no power outlets. It gets pretty packed with a bunch of students so I didn't really like that. Parking is a bit strange. The cafe itself was hard to find at night. There are minimal lights near there and it's kinda hiding in a little lone plaza.
(2)N. H.
This is a huge hang out place for me. Most of friends seem to know it, and people that I take there usually like it. I go to meet up with friends and then usually bump into friends I know. I usually go at night on a weekend night. And it is crowded. There isn't too much space in there either. The parking is bad but you might (don't trust me on this) be able to park in the grocery store parking lot next door but I've only done this during the daytime so the nighttime might be towing time! lol. Pros: a large menu! good bubble tea + blended coffeed drinks. The have a good variety of herbal teas as well. They offer sweets, bingsu (Korean fruity KOrean desert), hot dog (that's random...), pastries, and chocolate fondue. The bubble tea is probably one of the best in the suburbs (Probably the best would be Joy-Yee's). You can get a loyalty card and get a drink free after 10 drinks i think. A lot of the regular drinks are around 3.50-4.00. Larger ones are a bit more. It is also very brightly and cutely decorated inside. Free wi-fi. A lot of people seem to study here. Cons: not much option for non drink items. Service can take a lil while since it's usually pretty busy and there's usually 1 drink maker. Can be very busy, hard to park, people sometimes have to resort to waiting outside or drinking outside. It is an okay place to talk with a friend in if you're okay with they're being people an inch away from you on the other table. A lot of people study here but its not for me since its too loud in my opinion. Recommendations: Mocha freeze with tapioca (on the sweet side but very good). Strawberry-banana freeze w/ tapioca. mango as well. A nice hangout place! I have good memories of this place, so this is probably why my review stars are high.
(5)Brian L.
My drinks always taste too syrupy but I'll still come here out of convenience and a yearning for delicious tapioca. The space is small and always crowded with kids.
(3)Vicky C.
Da BEST FRUIT FREEZE in the burbs. I wish I can multiply my body whenever I go there since I have such a hard time picking one. This unique little cafe offers 3 options to enhance your fruit freeze - Tapioca, Lychee Jelly and Fruit Jelly or opt-out. This makes it even harder to choose, but it's a good struggle. In Summer I struggle even more. Seasonal Strawberry bingsoo is added to my selection. It's shaved ice loaded with fresh strawberry slices and ice cream / frozen yogurt. Portion's very generous and I love their refreshing frozen yogurt. Side Effect? I find myself driving 40 min. for a drink. Can't find a place in my hood that will satisfy my palate.
(5)Imran H.
Definitely the best bubble tea place in the suburbs! Their "house" milk tea is simply Divine. Unlike many other places their milk based teas don't have that powdery/grainy texture and taste. This place can be a little hard to find, but well worth it once you're there. They also have free wifi if you feel like spending some time there. Enjoy.
(5)Judy J.
best hangout place ever. love their heath mocha bubbletea and their fruit bingsoo :) default location for hangout for my friends and me for years
(5)Adele S.
Very good bubble tea, in my opinon, second to Q-Cafe. flavors very fresh and fruity, doesn't taste like powdered drink mix. The location is horrible, very little parking. I agree with Eric, if you aren't looking for this place, you'll drive right by. I'm surprised they're still in business because of the crappy location. Even the greatest place can't survive at a bad location. Will go here again if I can find parking.
(4)Jonathan K.
place isnt great, but i see that its the old school spot where ur old peoples go to. a little small but they maximize the space in there, plenty of energy as people come in and out. i particularly liked that they had yoolmoocha, an old korean tea...thick and mildly sweet, childhood nostalgia
(4)Cec M.
Very cramped. We got a drink that tasted bad and after a few minutes it settled and separated into its components. Sorry I don't remember the name exactly, but it was a fruity thing. Maybe I should go check the other drinks .. maybe they'll be better .. but that doesn't change the fact that it's cramped in there!
(2)kristen m.
Luckily I work right down the street from this place because the drinks are great and so are the prices. I haven't tried their bubble tea yet, but their fruit freezes with tapioca are fresh and delicious. That is reason enough right there to check this place out. The only down side is that it can get pretty crowded at night. I go there to study a couple nights a week and sometimes you have to wait for a table.
(4)Ed M.
I'm not much of a bubble tea guy or tea drinker....but Liquid Fusion puts a little sophistication into the bubble tea cafes....too bad its located in a Northbrook strip mall that you can easily drive by without noticing going northbound on Milwaukee. They should open up in Chicago...they would certianly rock! Place is tiny too...but for what its worth...the drinks are uncomparable to them chicagoland/chinatown teeny-bopping bubble tea cafes.
(5)Anooj S.
Definitely one of my favorite places to get Bubble tea. It has a nice atmosphere to hang out and they have a great variety to choose from. Parking can sometimes be difficult. I like how they seal the lids to prevent spills and allow for a good mixing. Highly recommend trying it! Personally, it is tied with Joy Yee's for my top spot! I've only had their bubble tea and haven't had a chance lately to try the fruit freezes. I used to get my drink with tapioca but over the years I've ventured out and have found that Lychee Jelly is MUCH MUCH better! I am a HUGE taro-coconut with lychee jelly fan!
(5)Alena K.
Love their Bing Su - used to come here with friends for a quick fruity snack! Yum. The vibe is definitely younger - this place is open late and attracts a lot of high schoolers. As an adult you won't want to stick around too long.
(5)Noomi J.
I was in the area, decided to give them another shot rather than going to the nearby cafe bene or tous les jour for bubble tea. Ordered an sberry watermelon apple fruit freeze (large $4.85). Perfectly refreshing for the summer day. I feel like the kiwi honeydew peach I ordered last time had potential to be great, but too little flavor and much ice. Holding it back from higher rating.
(4)Felice C.
I've been coming to Liquid Fusion since I was in the middle of high school. So that's nearly 8 years... Guess that's saying something! Liquid Fusion is hands down the best bubble tea joint in Illinois. Yes, better than Joy Yee's, better than Avalanche, better than Chill...I've yet to try Kung Fu Tea or Bee & Tea, but I've been to plenty of boba joints around LA and this is comparable, if not better. They have fruit freezes, specialty freezes, a plethora of tea, coffee freezes, waffles, bingsu, etc. I usually mix it up, but my favorites are strawberry dream (strawberry smoothie with a hint of creaminess) or any of their berry options. I believe I've tried all their fruit options...I recommend them all--even avocado and taro. Melon-ah is great too! Tastes like a melona bar. You have the option to opt out of tapioca (bubbles), but I always get them, sometimes I get extra tapioca or I even add lychee jelly! Mmmm My favorite tea is their iced house tea with tapioca. THE BOMB DOT COM. Delicious!!! Their coffee freezes like Heath or Mocha are yummy too, but I usually don't order them because they're powder based (I used to work at a cafe that used that brand). If you get a chance, you MUST MUST MUST try their fruit bingsu. If you've never had bingsu, it's basically shaved ice, misugaru, pat (red bean, if you want it), milk, fruit, condensed milk, ice cream and a bit of honey. I've tried most of the bingsu in the area and I prefer theirs. Love that they use misugaru, milk, condensed milk, and some honey. Really spectacular. Meant to share and worth the price. They also have a loyalty card that gives you 20% off (I think) after 10 purchases. I'd invested in that long, long ago cos I came so often haha. Another tip if you order a bubble tea, make sure you tip it over and shake it before you pierce the plastic seal with the straw. The bubbles get nicely incorporated and dispersed!
(5)Connie H.
Mango lychee smoothie with lychee jelly! Love their bubble tea here. Still like joy yees more, but this is a very very close second (I admit it would probably be hard to tell the difference if I drank their bubble teas side by side) and easier to access when in the suburbs. Would definitely recommend and will keep coming back!
(4)Jess H.
Definely a fan for life. Am in love how they serve the drinks. They seal the lids. No akward spills in the car. Looks so awesome. Tonight I had the house bubble tea with the tapioca pearls. Never had or liked teas in my life and this was an instant love. I am so afraid to ask what the calories are in this drink. Everything they were serving everyone else looked good. Servers were also awesome and nice. This is a must to try place for tea lovers, coffee peeps and smoothie or fraps from Starbucks. This has to be the place to go to first before going to a Starbucks or a smoothie place. Just give this chain a try just for experience!
(5)Jenny Y.
Liquid Fusion is a misnomer as it sounds like it could be a bar or night spot, but this is a fantastic place for bubble tea, on par with if not better than Joy Yee's (on their good days). We had an amazing strawberry kiwi bubble tea. Although I like the drink to be icy rather than watery, and theirs was the latter, it tantalized my taste buds and left me wanting more! Very fresh fruit and tapioca pearls. Great place if you're in the Glenview area.
(4)Dustin T.
This place has earned my stamp of BBT in the Chicago burbs. Even though they don't specifically call it "bubble tea" but rather the FuuuuuuuSION tea. I spent a good minute staring frustratedly at the menu for quite awhile to figure out where the heck the drink with tapioca balls were. I tried the House Fusion Tea which according to the elegant description on the menu is "made with quality black tea fused with a hint of cocoa." I had no idea there was cocoa, but the thing was delicious! The tapioca balls had the perfect sQuish as well. This tea is great! I'll have another!!! (Proceeds to smash empty cup on the ground demanding another*). The 2nd drink I had was the almond fusion tea. Was a solid drink, but I personally preferred the house. The 2nd drink was not good for my bladder on the drive home.... I highly recommend this place's House Fusion Tea TLDR: BubbleLicious definition make em Asians go loco
(5)Lena M.
Let's admit it... Fruit freezes are hard to come across around this neck of the burbs, especially good freezes. Since I can't head to Chinatown for my fix each time, Liquid Fusion is 2nd best. The freezes are tasty, I'm assuming they use real fresh fruit for them. My sons love the watermelon with no tapioca. I like the Taro with Lychee Jelly (Now I want one this very minute). Hubs is more adventurous and tries all sorts of different flavors. Next time I'm going to try the milk tea, maybe. They also have bing-soo, but that's for next time. It can be busy depending on the time of day and stuff. Easy to get to if you're heading northbound on Milwaukee toward Palatine Road, but can be a PITA to go the other way because traffic can be heavy.
(4)Andrew E.
I'm like a spoiled child when it comes to the tapioca bubbles in my bubble tea. I take that back. I'm like a rational adult who has some expectations when they spend money on something. So, for around $5 for a fruit drink, I'd better get some fresh bubbles, yeah? Liquid fusion delivers. And their fruit drinks (strawberry kiwi both times) were pleasantly sweet and flavorful. I wish they weren't so far away :(
(5)Monica T.
I love this place the bubble tea here is amazing I have had at least 90% of the drinks there n they are amazing u will not be disappointed and they stay open late as well....
(5)Ryan H.
Serious was fast and polite. The smoothie was delicious. The place was a little small but it was clean. I came at a busy time but I still got my smoothie in a short period. Great place for bubble Yea and smoothies!
(5)Aishwarya R.
There are hardly any coffee shops in or around Arlington Heights that is open at night! A late night drive and a coffee is what we love on some Saturday nights and that's how I found liquid fusion. The coffee was great! It didn't even seem like a late night coffee shop, it was so live, with a lot of youngsters!! Glad to have found this place. Would surely come back to try the bubble tea.
(5)Cynthia A.
Me and my boyfriend regularly come here - rain, shine, freezing, hot, day or night. I mean, it's to the point where we know some of their names (Celia and Oscar regularly at night) and they know our drinks (strawberry lychee mango/orange freezes on the regular), so maybe we're here a bit TOO often. Regardless of who is making drinks, the service is friendly and receptive, the guy who I think is the owner is also behind the counter often. We don't live close by either; that's just how delicious the drinks are. But late night, this can't be beat. Open til midnight or 1AM (1AM!?), sometimes we grab a bite to eat and head up here for our treat. There have been multiple times when the lines are OUT THE DOOR and they are pumping out drinks in a timely fashion. I mean, this is serious. If there is a place that can do business in the dead of winter in Chicago, this HAS to be it! -KEY POINTS- -There are a few tables. The space isn't huge, but I wouldn't describe it as small. Nice place to study when it isn't packed, but if there is a line from the counter then it can get pretty loud with lots of people in one spot. -The worst thing I've had here was a pumpkin spice latte. I didn't dock any points for that because it's a seasonal drink, but I would never do again. However, the apple cider (another seasonal) was super delicious and I would get it every time, but again, seasonal. :( -My b/f is super particular with freezes, specifically about places that taste like they use more flavored powders vs. actual fruit. Liquid uses lots of fruit and no powders; only in my Green Tea (matcha) Latte that I know of. Can also recommend the milk teas by the same token. Obviously, we'll be back. Maybe later tonight. :)
(5)Venessa F.
Their cleaning isn't up to snuff. They are often hard to understand and sometimes struggle to understand you.
(2)Daniel S.
I've been able to try a bunch of the things here and I've liked them all, i got the cappucino, the mango smoothie with tapioca, the iced taro tea, and then my absolute favorite, a coffee chiller mixed with choc peanut butter and choc mint, with tapioca too! it was so amazing, whenever i work out there in the burbs i make a point to stop there, quick service too
(5)Pierre Y.
Great Bubble tea. Try it with the microbubbles (I think that's what it's called) if not jelly is always good. Hot drinks are ok as well.
(4)Christine L.
Prices have risen since the first time I have come here, but this remains one of the better places for bubble tea in the suburbs. Their most recent update to the place gives more seating with a table and chairs replacing the couches that used to be in the corner and flat screen menus behind the counter. A large bubble tea now will run you $4.95, but it is delicious so I can't resist. Parking can be a pain, but I can usually find parking in the back if there isn't any right in front. Also, seating is limited, and kids/teenagers like to hang out here. So you might either have to wait around for a bit for seats to open up or take your drinks to go. Get the bubble tea and you will not go wrong with any of the flavors.
(4)Anita V.
As a NYC bubble tea aficionado, I find that Liquid Fusion Cafe was below expectations. Surely my first and last time here. The product: I got a Jasmine Milk Tea with tapioca (the bread& butter of even the smallest of bubble tea establishments) and it was highly disappointing. It didn't taste or smell like Jasmine tea and could not make it through a quarter of it. The party that accompanied me order various frozen drinks (cookies&cream, strawberry slush); apparently they were a little bit better. The hardware: cup covers were easily breakable, so the straw puncture tore the entire cover. Prone to spills. I recommend going to Liquid Fusion if you are with a group and looking for a place to sit down as there are plenty of tables/chairs for small and large groups alike.
(2)Marco M.
Literally one of my favorite places on earth... Great bubble tea, the BEST in the area BY FAR (I recommend the non-fruit freeze options like vanilla bean, a lot of people don't know they're even on the menu and they're SO GOOD). Just a quality place with quality drinks and a good vibe for friends. I've had countless nights where I've just ran to liquid with my friends, it's a nice hang out spot! The best part (besides the delicious bubble tea) is the community writing board that's up in the store! Every kid in the area will write messages on it, it's a lot of fun and has been the source of some very fond memories... The whole place is like one big fond memory of my childhood... Very awesome! Give them business!
(5)Jake L.
Wow i mean wow. Thank you for making my night. Me and my wife loved the smoothies or what ever u call them. And the bubbles were the best part. I forgot what they call them but ask for the starch thingies in your drink. Man this was the end of my day after eating a bad meal. I am going every day till i am in Illinois for the next three weeks. Trying every thing.
(5)Jenny F.
I go here all the time & there hasn't been a day where it's not crowded. Their smoothies are very well made; tasty, smooth & thick. For the Tapioca lovers, it's delish! very gummy I promise. What I enjoy most is that Liquid Fusion is down the street from where I live, have access to free wifi, the price is perfect for what you purchase, it closes til late (12am or 1am) & their smoothies never disappoint. I definitely recommend this place if you're seeking a new place to hang or to just enjoy a refreshing smoothie.
(4)Jane W.
This place reminded me a LOT of home (Southern California) - an Asian-owned boba shop with a lot of younger people just hanging out with friends. Too bad it's too far from Evanston for me to visit on a frequent basis. My friend (also an avid foodie) recommended this place, so a few of us stopped by after grabbing japanese ramen for dinner. I ordered a mango, peach smoothie with lychee jelly, along with a shaved ice with fruit and red bean. The drink itself was good. Not the syrup/powder sugary crap that they serve at a lot of places. It reminded me almost more of a smoothie than your typical tea, but it was definitely refreshing and didn't taste like it was going to give me diabetes. The shaved ice was also good - although, it's kind of hard to mess up shaved ice. Prices were on the slightly steeper side than what I am used to, but maybe it's because SoCal has an overload of shops like this and thus prices are lower.

I've been coming here since it opened back in the day! Their tapioca balls are simply the best! Perfectly sweet and chewy. Their drinks never ever let me down. It is always consistently good. I always end up getting a strawberry mango tapioca. SIMPLY THE BEST. Other drinks are delicious as well, including their regular coffee and coffee freeze menu. You can also get a hot drink with tapioca which is unique and I personally love it. My sister gets the house tea with tapioca which she claims is the best one eVER. I've noticed that they are starting to expand their menu and they are having more flavors and more types of tapioca. Dare to get adventurous? I always tell myself that.. but once I walk in, my heart is always set on that STRAWBERRY MANGO TAPIOCA. Love. I used to study here sometimes. Obviously on weekends, this is a terrible idea cuz it gets PACKED. But on weekdays, esp during the day time, it's quite pleasant to study here. The bathroom is pretty big and clean. They also have a membership card where you can add up points/money for a free drink every once in a while. Parking gets annoying sometimes cuz it's such a small private lot. But now they are using the field next to the plaza to allow parking so I guess you will always have parking. On fridays and saturdays, there is a line out the door sometimes and it's filled with high school kids inside. I hate waiting but it's worth it. Everytime I come back to the suburbs to visit my family, I always go out of the way to make a stop here. Go sweet chewy tapioca balls!!

Wonderful area bubble tea place with a ton of flavors. They are generous with their tapioca and helpful behind the counter. We got the mango flavor, chocolate peanut butter, and strawberry banana and all three were fantastic! This is a must go bubble tea spot!

Great bubble tea shop about 2 minutes from work. I've been going there regularly for a couple of years now. They have a huge menu, with a wide array of smoothies (they have real fruit), teas, and coffee drinks. Some of the drinks are too sweet and the sugar overpowers the taste. But the ones that are good, are not just good, they are AMAZING. If you like authentic bubble tea (and not smoothies with tapioca) the Jasmine and Almond are fantastic. But my favorite is probably the Frozen Chai (which of course is on the more expensive specialty drinks list). The prices are pretty comparable to what you'd pay for a specialty drink at Starbucks or another bubble tea shop. So not cheap, but in line with the competition. And at the end of the day I guess I vote with my feet, since I keep going back for more.

Finally a place by me that has decent bubble teas! The drinks are good, but a tad more expensive than what you would find in the city. And it's in a weird spot, in a strip mall that is just kinda in between two major roads. But, the cafe is clean and also serves coffee drinks, which is a plus. I will definitely be back!

Any fruit freeze combination is a win-win. Prices are decent. The atmosphere is nice but there's always little kiddies around so I always take mine to go. Bonus: free wi-fi!

(shhh...don't tell anybody, but my wife and I go here all the time. Yeah, we're twice as old as most of the teenagers who are hanging around the cafe, but the bubble tea is still good, and their fruit freeze drinks are equally tasty. Don't be scared off by the teenagers patrolling the sidewalks or in the store...just go to the counter and order from the really friendly staff. after a short wait, you can get your drinks and go. P.S. don't forget your straw!)

i don't know if liquid fusion sets the bench mark regarding bubble teas but it's ok enough for the burbs. you want bubble tea? need to try joy yee's. I need to try other things besides bubble tea to make a fair review. anyhow. regarding customer service; personnel taking orders needs to be a little less serious and grumpy. it's the weekend and it's 8 pm and you rather be out with your friends but you are working at a service related industry so put a little more effort when taking orders.

I really had countless cups of bubble teas all over the world! My all time favorite is an international chain called tea time but I am happy to say liquid fusion is definitely one of the best b tea I tried ever. What makes a good b tea is the sweetness and consistency of tapioca bubbles which is hard to achieve. LF does the bubbles really well. Right amount of sweetness and chewiness without being mushy or undercooked. If you like b tea this is by far the best in Chicago area.

Great place to get frozen drinks! They have fruit freeze with a lot of flavors, coffee freeze, decaf flavor freeze (vanilla bean, oreo, chocolate..), bingsu, tea, espresso drinks, baked goods, waffles, and many more! I got a large coffee freeze with vanilla latte + java chip flavors. Plus tapiocas. It was really good! Somebody else was getting bingsu and it looked really good too. I am definitely going back here again to try other things!! Nice interior and vibe. They have magazines and comfortable seats (but not too many)..

This place offers one of the best bubble tea I've ever tasted. My usual is chocolate with strawberry pop bubbles and it tastes absolutely amazing. This place offers great ambiance for socializing and for simply studying.

Very disappointed in the service here. Came here with 11 of my friends to try their bingsu. The people there where really rude. The tall Asian guy there was very rude. 2 of my friends were able to order but he stopped and told us that we wouldn't sell any more and his excuse was they ran out of ice. They have one job and how and you run out of ice? Yet we waited outside and he kept making drinks for other customers. This is very horrible customer service. We drove 30 minutes just to come to a place that "Ran out of ice" but some how was able to help the people that came after us. I do not recommend anyone come here...
