Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

This Pizza Hut is new(er) and clean, but could improve. Our waitress was nice, always asking if we needed anything and making sure our drinks were filled. But, there were problems. The temperature was freezing. I had to put my coat back on! We asked about it and our waitress said there were issues with the heat, and said a guy had just been out to fix it. Well, he didn't do a good job as everyone in the place had jackets on. From other reviews, it seems this is not the first time this has happened. Another issue: the food. We got there at 11:30, which is a half an hour after the lunch buffet should be open. We were told they had some troubles that morning, so the buffet wasn't ready yet. How was it not ready 30 minutes into the buffet? Oh well, the breadsticks came out kind of fast, as did the thin crust pizza. While i waited, the waitress brought over the salad - either Ceasar or garden - that comes with the buffet. I was kind of surprised that the salad wasn't part of the buffet with a whole salad bar of toppings you could pick from, but our waitress said she would bring the salads out. I'll say one thing, they do not skimp on the dressing. I asked for Italian and I got Creamy Italian, which is not at all the light option I was going for when I ordered. The salad was so drenched, it was just about ruined. Finally, the pan pizza came out. I indulged myself on the pepperoni, my favorite kind there. The great thing about the buffet not being ready when we got there was that every item in the buffet was steaming hot, fresh from the oven. We happened to be in the same parking lot at the Putting Edge, so we decided to make it a true high school date by going to Pizza Hut, but I probably wouldn't seek out a Pizza Hut otherwise. As far as Pizza Huts go, this is one of the better one in terms of remodeling and cleanliness, but take that for what it's worth.

It's been about five years since I've been to Pizza Hut. Not because I don't like their pizza--it's mediocre and Americanized, just how I like my men-- but I had no idea they still had restaurants. I thought they only had those hole-in-the-wall delivery/takeout joints. I was pleasantly surprised that the day after St. Patty's, I could go into an actual restaurant and relive my childhood obsession with this pizza. Cheese, sauce, fried-looking bread. Just like any other Pizza Hut location. Bonus: They still have the lunch buffet. Too bad it's so far away from my apartment. Did you know this is the closest location to Oak Park? It is. Also note: the 3-star review is because a: our waitress was a bit slow on the refills and b: It's Pizza Hut, guys. Pizza joints are a dime a dozen and this is basically fast-food pizza sans the big nosed, roman dude squeaking out "Pizza pizza!"

Chicken wings! Who doesn't like them? Having to wait 30 minutes for your wings, not to mention the 15 or so minutes to watch employees shuffle around an empty restaurant before taking your order, is not an experience I wish to repeat. Only the television showing the game kept quiet that voice inside me who wanted to have her own version of "restaurant makeover". I asked why the holdup and kept on being told "we are working on your order". I was the only person in the place and ordered six or was it seven chicken wings. Anyway, the wings kind of sucked and it was such a beautiful day outside.

I absolutely loved this place... Until last night. I ordered 2 large pizzas, now my stomach has been killing me since I ate it. Not puking or anything like that yet. But damn I'm in pain. I would order/dine-in at least once every 2 weeks. Never again will I go back. This was around 9:45pm when I stopped in. It's 9:40pm now and my stomach still hurts.

After being a semi-regular at this Pizza Hut for years, I don't think I'll be going back any time soon. My sister and I would do girls days about once or so a month and head over to Pizza Hut for lunch before shopping at the HIP. The last time we went in was just a train wreck. We walked up to the hostess booth waiting to be seated. A guy working the register stared at me. He eventually said someone would help is in just a moment. I waited five minutes before someone came to seat us. When we sat down, we pretty much already knew what we wanted. Servers walked past us for over fifteen minutes before anyone so much as glanced out way. The place was pretty empty, too. A guy named Luigi finally came to our table and took our drink orders. He was an okay server. Very polite. Brought things out pretty quickly. Another thing that bothered me was the blinding sun in the place. Our table was by the window, however, the shade wouldn't close. Before we got our pizza, we asked Luigi if we could move to another table, and he said that was fine.

Worst place ever... The service is soooo bad! And don't plan on watching any Chicago sports here, because they have no channels! It's a pizza and wings place, with 10 TVs and no sports. The food is mediocre. Never coming back.

Pizza Hut has always been a favorite of mine - since back in the day when you could get breadsticks, salad, a medium and two sodas for under $20 and take some home for the next day! This place is really nice and the servers are really attentive. Gone are the soda glasses that I could not lift with one hand, but they refill in a flash, so I am not dehydrated. We ordered two sodas, a beer, two personal pizzas, an order of breadsticks and a side salad and all that was under $25!! The menu here is also expanded with all the chicken items from Wing Street, making it the perfect snack type food or pre-game meal.

They said 5 minutes 35 minutes ago... Really, at a Pizza Hut!!! Service is horrible. Had about 6 waiters and host just standing around doing nothing while people waited for food and to be seated. The host had no common sense what-so-ever. At one point it seemed as if he was only seating his friends. Waiter was very rude and it took over an hour for us to even see him. We ended up just walking out. I'm not exaggerating, two other tables and people waiting to be seated walked out with us. Honestly the worst service of my life.

Not a fan of this place! No cheese on pizza. Seriously! On two different occasions they brought me a pizza that had no cheese on it. -Thats right-no cheese! So it was bread w/a little sauce on it w/cheese on half the slices and absolutely no cheese on the other slices. I complained both times and both times they offered to make me a new one after waiting a long time for the first one. I don t know about anybody else I don t trust places to remake food after watching movie waiters, but they should charge half the price since they are giving out half the pizza. They don t do this by the way! They look at you like its dumb your complaining about the bread they just served you. If you think delivery is better, it s not. They take seriously hours to bring you food. I m just going to stick to little Ceasers pizza at least they always put cheese on pizza.

Unfortunately, my opinions of this restaurant have degraded rather rapidly throughout the years. The service is decent, but nothing to rave about by any means. The actual food quality of the buffet has seen much better days. Walking up to a buffet full of cold and hardened dishes is not only disgusting, but pathetic. If you order off the menu the items take longer than expected to arrive at the table and normally not in the quality you would expect. The restaurant has become dirty and under maintained throughout the past few years which is a disappointment. Seeing as this location only opened up a few years before I'm updating this review it's sad that it has deminished so rapidly. The men's bathrooms are a joke and seem more like a tribute to local graffiti than anything else. The lock on the one lone stall is broken and has been for over a year now. The lock will technically "lock", but seeing as the outer parts of the locking mechanism are broken it serves as a rather large peephole into the stall.

They actually deserve less than one star... 1st of all, I came in Wednesday after work with my 4 kids. The waitress shoved 3 tables together which all wobbled really bad.. The place was freezing, even I was cold and I usually like the air blasting.. asked the waitress if we could move, she told me she'd see about turning the air down... uhh, that never happened. More people start coming in so the dippy waitress grabs more tables and shoves them together, while doing this, she knocked the roll of paper towels on the floor, so what does she do? she rolls it back up and places it back on the table... I said " Excuse me, that was just on your disgusting floor " she just looked at me and walked away... WTF??? so then my daughter needs to go to the washroom, I told her to go... she comes back, thank GOD she washed her hands.. because about 10 minutes later, my other daughter needs to go so I take her.. all 2 stalls were locked and nobody in them, large stall was over flowing with poop all over the floor... I was like HOLY SHIT, and I walked out, took my kids and said lets go! My older daughter told me that she had to crawl under the stall to get in and crawl under to get out... she couldn't get it open and she's only 7 so she really didn't know better.. but STILL! the people that work there are disgusting and obviously do not care about their facility or the people that dine there.. BTW, the food was totally flavorless and took way to long getting to the table. I took my check to the register and as my feet were sticking to the floor, the woman asked me if everything was ok... I said NO, it wasn't ok and told her I was reporting that store and pray I don't call the health dept. I will NEVER EVER go there again, even my kids were grossed out.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
