Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

This is my second visit to a Chipotle and I must say the food is quite good. I had the salad with chicken, vegetables and guacamole. It was fresh and very tasty. The downside to my lunch visit was the cleanliness of the reastaurant. Very dirty. Every table was dirty and the floors were covered with food and napkins. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in days. I had to ask the cashier to have someone come out and at least wipe down the tables. Someone did, but missed most of them. The bathrooms were also unclean. The sink was broken and there was no toilet paper! Where is management? What are they managing!?!

Our family ordered 6 burrito bowls. All were ordered ONLINE using my account. There was 2 missing bowls and 2 of them were in different names of people I don't even know.. How can you mess up on names especially when the order is generated on a computer? Seriously! Your staff looked confused and needed training badly. We are hungry and this is just messed up. I am writing to you at this moment while your staff is correcting our order.

The food is pretty good, but the service is horrible. You have to repeat what you want 5 times and then it's still not right. My food is always cold and the staff never fails to roll their eyes and let you know what a big favor they are doing you by waiting on you. I have been in customer service for 20 years and I understand that working with the public is hard, but seriously??? Oh, and the place is filthy too and the noise level in there is deafening. You would be better off eating in a Salvation Army soup kitchen for all ambiance this place has.

Never consistent on how much food you get. Sometimes generous, sometimes stingy. Go to the six corners location on Irving park instead. You might drive the extra mile, but you'll leave with a stuffed stomach.

Worst chipotle I ever went to. I went here 3 times and it's time for this review. They are so stingy on meat and all other ingredients, even the lettuce !!! Every other chipotle gives a good amount of meat and ingredients. Music is weird also. N place is not to clean. But biggest upset is lack of food portions. For a new location they suck.

I don't care what anyone says, this place is great. I frequent here often and have never had a bad experience.

I was just at chipotle within the hour. I have been to this chipotle so many times and I am never satisfied. The employees do not full burrito bowls consistently. Never are to the standards of other chipotle locations. The employees are also as rude as can be. I have yet to see a manager in the front. The cleanliness of this location is way below expectations. Food on the floor. Food by the drunk and utensil area. I am in the customer service field and if I acted this way at my job I wouldn't have a job to go back to. All other chipotle locations fill bowls with food so that's when you finish, you're full. This location is trying to save money with their food by not giving as much but in reality they are losing money because not many people are going to come back.

I don't understand the hype. I prefer traditional style Mexican food. The stuff you get in your abuelita's kitchen, not your hipster cousin Juan's kitchen. The solid for me here is the guac.

My favorite chipotle location. The employees are friendly and welcoming. Vanessa, in particular, always makes each visit wonderful. The atmosphere is lovely, as is the music. The food is great -- I've never had a problem with it. I always recommend this location!

Never eating here again

If I could give zero stars I would. This is the WORST chipotle ever. Terrible customer service, rude employees, one child even threw my guacamole at me cause I asked her to fill the cup since I was paying for it. JUST RUDE!. I actually left my food and walked away without buying it because of how rude she was. Who throws the food down on the counter because a customer asked you to fill it up? They are stingy with their portions and charge you for things that other Chipotles do not. Don't waste your money - go to Noodles and Company across the street where service is better and you actually get what you pay for.

My husband and I decided to try chipotle tonight, that was a big mistake. I have never been there but it was easy to figure out, but I've never had rice in a burrito before, but I chose the white rice. If you like food with a kick fine, but I don't. The steak with the rice was too much for me too handle. My husband even said mine was spicier than his with the brown rice. I literally had to suck on a lemon to cool my mouth off. Worst burrito I've ever had and will go to las palmas next time assuredly.

The worst chipotle ever... Chipotle is know for their great food and portion... My burrito bowl look more like a taco bowl... There was no meat, no rice, not even lettuce.... So upset I requested a little more and they told me "it will be extra"... I won't come here anymore.... No military discount either.

I love Chipotle but this location sucks! It is true that not all Chipotles are created equally. The young employees seem as though they were not trained at all and have no clue what they are doing. I was surprised to see no sign of a manager in the first week this place opened up. I got a burrito bowl like I always get and something was definitely amiss, tasted off and their amazing guacamole was even horrible. I will drive the extra miles and go to the Skokie Chipotle from now on. Does anyone notice how horrible all chain restaurants are in Norridge?? The new Noodles & Company is awful and so is the IHOP!
(1)Meagan M.
Awful, I had to wait extra because they had no steak cooked and and then there wasn't even anyone at the register so all these people were just waiting just to pay for their food and I asked for it to go and they jus handed me a top to put on my food I haven't even eaten it yet I was just so frustrated with them.. The workers are just awful

I am downgrading this specific Chipotle from 3-stars to 2-stars for several reasons. REASON 1: They do not know how to wrap burritos here. Wrapping a burrito is an art and if you do not wrap it correctly it is going to fall apart at first bite. REASON 2: If you request extra chicken (or whatever kind of meat you are eating in your bowl) you will be charged almost an extra $3, but the employee will not inform you of the "extra" cost. Thus, my chicken bowl was $9 and change (plus tax) so it was almost a $10 bowl (brown rice, pinto beans and extra chicken -- nothing else). REASON 3: We had to find a clean table, because most of them were dirty. When we found one that was clean, we noticed it really was not clean, so we dipped our napkins in water and wiped it down ourselves. We thought sitting outside would be better, but it was not and the outside tables were even worse. We both agreed to go to El Habanero in Logan Square (you can read my review over there and see that El Habanero is 5-stars across the board). The food portions are fantastic, it is authentic Mexican food, service is great, the price-point is very, very reasonable. The food is fresh and the quality is outstanding. My friend works out at the new fitness center located in the same strip mall as this particular Chipotle. I work out five to six days a week, but she insisted that I come as "her guest" to the new fitness center. After a grueling 1-1/2 hour work out we were super hungry. This is how we ended up at this Chippie. We could have gone to Panera Bread, but I gave up sugar/sweets and wasn't in the mood for a ton of carbs. I need to stop eating non-authentic Mexican food. This is a watered down version of Mexican cuisine. No more Chippie's in my future. No thanks!

Worst chipotle in the area. Every add on is extra. The portions are very small. The only convenience is that it's in the neighborhood and it's convenient. I will say that the staff is very inviting and polite, but otherwise, not a fan of this location.
(2)Hannah M.
My favorite fast food restaurant they make the best burrito bowls and had my favorite guacamole
(4)Dominick G.
Great Experience. Convenient parking. Great atmosphere, all windows facing North, and East. Clean. Friendly staff. Generous portion sizes.

I'll start by saying I love Chiplotle. I was happy to see one open closer to my home. We went to the HIP on Saturday after the lunch rush (2 pm) and were surprised to see what a mess this place was, Not one clean table, the floor heavily littered with food and a large spilled pop near the inner entrance. When we sat to eat our burrito bowl at a table I cleaned I found that the brown rice was undercooked (I mean really undercooked) and greasy. Not sure how you make rice greasy. During the time we were there we did not see one person come out to clean and they weren't that busy. The only thing that keeps me from giving them a 1 star is that the service was prompt and friendly. They really have to work on quality control and cleanliness before I go back. I hope they work this out. I'll try them again in a month or two.

Is there an option here for no star??? I have been here numerous times since it's so close to work... Unfortunately every time has been disappointing for me ... They are stingy on everything and I mean everything ... You have to tell them extra for any ingredient you want in your bowl, and even then they don't fill it up. Like I asked for extra sauce she literally gave me few drops .. All the people who work here either hate their job or just are plain ignorant and unfriendly ... The chicken they use here is weird .... I have to spit most of it out since it's weird to chew into and swallow . The rice are always served cold .. They are always running empty on most of their ingredients like rice or chicken or fajitas ... If you know you have a busy location you should be working twice as hard to keep up with the demand... The place is always dirty .. Next time I'll be taking a drive to somewhere else if I am really in mood for chipotle ... I have one word for the whole experience ... HORRIBLE !! Never going here again !

This is definitely the worst chipotle I have been to. The portions are seriously stingy and not worth the 8 dollars. The staff all three times I have been in are extremely rude and definitely need some customer service skills. They seem to be more concerned with talking amongst themselves than helping customers. The line piles up and they cannot handle it. The manager always seems too busy to see what is going on up front and this seems to add to the bad service I'v experienced. The white rice has been undercooked every time I've been there. I gave it a break when it first opened but its been there long enough now where they should have worked out all of the kinks. Its too bad because its close to home but I would rather drive to the Rosemont or North Ave Chipotle over this one.

I am a Chipotle fanatic! But this location is just horrible! Never a really good burrito, the staff is a joke, and the extra charge for sour cream is ridiculous! This location is so convenient for me but I rather go the extra mile for an $8 burrito! Step up your game, please.

When chipotle in norridge first opened I understood why everything didn't run smoothly at first but it has been open long enough to get their stuff together. There is new problem EVERYTIME I eat there. If I'm paying $10 for my meal I would like to get the correct portion of rice and meat. I'm not one to complain about things like this but I have had enough. The small amount of rice they gave me in my burrito bowl today was ridiculous. I will not be going back there. I recommend the chipotle in park ridge.

Trying to find parking at this place is nearly impossible because of the gym they just built next door. Makes the whole experience frustraiting
(3)Kelly M.
Worst chipotle ever!!! Don't give you the portions like the other locations. Rude girls that work there. Busy talking about other customers to one another. Don't waste your time or money!!!
(1)A Z.
I love Chipotle... but this one is horrible. I have gotten undercooked rice a lot of times and meat a couple times that was so over salted I could hardly eat it. Also, they give really small portions of everything.
(2)S M.
What can I say, this location just opened. The employees seem undertrained and stingy when it comes to portions. They can't handle the pressure when it's busy and become really rude and pushy- I usually can't finish everything I want on my order because they push it aside. Sometimes their mild salsa has no flavor. Often when I have placed orders online they don't even have it ready.
(1)Tom K.
Worst Chipotle I ever went to. Deff dont give 4oz of meat, n dont listen what I want. Never again. Wierd music.
