Being from Chicago, I know what a good burger tastes like. These burgers are just okay. I like that you can get whatever you want on it and they are a decent size. The prices are really fair. I hate when places over price their items. The one thing I highly dislike bout this place is the delivery service. The first time I ordered from here it took about 45 minutes and the second time almost took 2 hours. I think that's completely ridiculous for a burger and some fries and the fact that I'm about 5 blocks away. I recommend this place if you actually go there to eat, but if you want it delivered, forget about it.

I took my son here to get some dogs a while back. The service was not good at all. And the food was really bad. I'll never go back.

City burger is juicy and flavorful! Butter fries are great!

Windy City Wieners may not be five star cuisine, but for a quick lunch or late night drunk food, it can't be beat. It won't leave you incapacitated on the toilet or regretting your decision the next morning unlike some places Uptown that are also open late. I don't know what these people are saying about it being dirty, the kitchen is open and you can literally watch them make your food. Their delivery times impress me too, usually I have my food between 20 and 45 minutes unless its 2 or 3 AM in which case I understand things get a bit strained. With Prime Time closed now its pretty much calzones or these guys. Pro tip: if you are real hungry, try the beef and sausage combo with cheese and hot peppers! The cheesecake was a pleasant surprise also.

I stopped here after having to run an errand in Downtown Normal. I had never been there, but knew I wanted a Italian beef sandwich & fries.Walking in there the place was clean & the menu was above the counter in big letters. I saw there board and decided to get there special on a combo with fries for $7.00- The combo had Italian beef & sausage with peppers(cheese was .50 extra)this was loaded with Italian beef and the sausage was cooked perfectly. The peppers were fresh & delicious.I will definitely be back to this place,it really hit the spot after a long day @ work.

I wish I could give half stars. I would give this place 3 1/2 stars. The burgers and fries are always yummy and they fill you up. They're not super fresh or gourmet or anything, but they'll do the trick. The service is quick and they also deliver. When I still lived in Normal I ate here like once every six months. I also used a Yelp deal here, so that was nice.

Best Italian beef in town. Burgers are dry and dull, I wish I could come in and show your staff how to make a juicy burger! Whenever I ordered a corn dog it would be delivered busted opened and burned, who would feel that's okay to serve to a paying customer? Love the garlic fries and super disappointed you don't deliver to Bloomington any more!

Placed a $25 order at 5:20pm on a Sunday night and it took 95 mins for it to be delivered. Food was hot but the wait time was a little out of hand. It will be a long time before I place an order with them again.

Food is normally good but e warned THEY WILL REFUSE TO ACCEPT YOUR COUPON FOR DELIVERY. This is something I feel they should make clear ahead of time instead of making me waste my money. They also refused to give me a refund for the voucher. The food does not justify the bad customer service here. After I use my coupon I will not go back

On a friend's recommendation, I picked up a burger and a few chili dogs last night, and brought them home to share with my wife. It was remarkably good for what it was - yes, the burgers were frozen, but they were prepared just about perfectly. And the chili dogs had a good casing on them - they snapped, instead of smooshed. That makes them probably the best dogs in town - which is kinda like being the best igloo in hell, but take it for what it's worth! We liked it enough that we went back today, and it was just as good or maybe a little better. I had a double cheeseburger this time. I would have gone with a gyro, but frankly, without feta (aka "as God intended a gyro to be"), it's not worth it. For burgers and dogs, it's a worthwhile replacement for Big Mouth's, and a good addition to downtown Normal. We'll be back again, for certain. Maybe this week!

Great, friendly staff. Great food, weekday lunch specials, and random specials going on all the time! Not to mention being right by campus and across the street from a great one cream place and the Children's Discovery Museum!

I've had the chicken sandwich and their Italian beef and both were pretty good. Whenever I'm in the mood for chicken I go here because it's probably the best and healthiest around. The staff are super nice and it's not a bad place to eat in or carry out. The food takes no more than 10 minutes, but delivery can take a bit.

Not as good as Big Mouth's, but it is nice to be able to get a Maxwell Street Polish if I'm in the mood. The hot dogs are pretty good, but the burgers (especially in comparison to Big Mouth's) are just plain terrible. The fries are much better than any fast food place out here as well.

Status quo ... but calling yourself Windy City Wieners, and being removed from the city by about 120 miles, you're gonna have big shoes to fill. They did a pretty good job, but I thought the service was a little slow.

Went here expecting Big Mouths and found new ownership, name change, and a reduced menu. I was not excited but gave it a try. The burger I got was a simple frozen patty you would get at any cafeteria, and I paid something like 8 bucks for a double burger fries and drink. Not planning on going back.

As a hot dog enthusiast, it generally takes quite a bit to be turned off by a hot dog. Unfortunately, WCW is a location I care to never visit again. For starters, much like Eric's review I was expecting Big Mouth's because i had gone there on my previous visit and thoroughly enjoyed their food. It didn't reinvent the wheel fast food wise, but it was quick and pretty tasty. Upon ordering WCW gets the quick portion down, but the taste? Well that is another story. First and foremost their hot dogs are Chicago Red Hots. While not the worst product in the world, it is definitely an inferior product to anything Vienna Beef has to offer. And their burgers? I mean really? This is the one item I love more than hot dogs and it was pretty obvious they used a pitiful frozen patty. If you really cared about this product, you would know to do otherwise. Goodness, do yourself a favor and do not support this location. You want to try better hot dogs and burger? Come to my place and I would be glad to serve you a meal infinitely better than anything this establishment brings forth. I really don't think the people at this location have ever tried a truly good hot dog in Chicago...

The onion rings were good but I was disappointed with the Buffalo Chicken Salad. The menu sounded better than the salad actually tasted. Great delivery time and service I just wish I ordered something different!

When they opened up they were great, but now it seems like the staff really just doesn't care. The food is almost always wrong, and I don't mean prepared wrong, I mean flat out missing. They would rather argue than fix it and this issue has happened more than once. The first time I was forgiving, but fool me twice. The fries are nothing special, the hot dogs are the saving grace since they are real Vienna Beef franks, but not much else here is better than mediocre.

The beef was REAL Chicago style beef on a decent roll, job well done! I'd like it spicier but it was very flavorful as were the sweet peppers. The fries were disappointing BUT served and kept hot in the bag hot.

I must say being from Chicago and knowing where to get the best charred dogs and polish along with some great fries made me wary to try this place. But at 3am with drunken college kids everywhere this looked like the easiest line to deal with. I'm really glad I ended up here. The employees were all great here. The woman running the register knew how to get an order out of a drunk kid and move them along. The fact she was still smiling after each of these orders was impressive. I placed my order for a Chicago style polish sausage and some other things I was taking back to our hotel room for others and then waited near the pick-up window order. The two guys working the grill and handing out the food were a bit frazzled because some of the drunks didn't know what their number was or in some cases didn't even remember what they had ordered a few minutes earlier. But a delivery guy returned (college kid) and within seconds had sorted the customers, handed out the correct food, moved people out the door, grabbed his next batch of deliveries, and was out the door himself. Quite impressive at 3am. And the food was great. Grilled onions and mustard on the grilled polish were in perfect amounts and the fries were a perfect crispness and didn't have too much salt. It would be easy to to rude to drunk people and serve them lower quality food but this place didn't do that. I must assume that at 12pm they are even friendlier and the food just as good. I'll be happy to visit here again when in BloNo.

While you watch them make your order they keep going into giant deep freezers for everything. Buns, gyros, sausages..etc. Nothing here is fresh.

I had the Italian sausage, which was a little smaller than I was expecting, but it's super cheap here so I didn't complain. The fries are pretty tasty too. The atmosphere is perfect for any ISU student in that it looks like a frat house, but I think that's what they're going for. The reason I won't be back is the apathetic college kids that run and work in this place. No one here seems to care about the customers or having a good attitude. They look at customers the same way they look at boring professors after a two-hour lecture.

Ran out of hot dog buns, and said they were "too busy" to deliver me them after I waited for 20 minutes. Awful customer service.

Great service, hot food served fast. No complaints and the dining room is cute and cozy. Ordered Chicago dogs and they were on point. Fries were served perfectly....will definitely come again.

My first trip this place was probably around 4 years ago. I remember being very pleased with the fact that I could get a very convincing Chicago style dog hours away from the heart of the city itself. 2 Days ago I was eager to revisit this establishment and have another taste, in fact it was all I could think about on my way to Normal in lue of some other business I had to take care of. I should preface this review by saying that I worked at a Subway for 7 years straight at one point in my life, so i'm no stranger to the needs and complaints of customers at a shop like this. We spotted the storefront and parked about one block down in midst of all the other shops and stores in the college stretch. As we walked in I noticed someone curiously standing in the lobby presumably waiting for service. After about 2 minutes someone emerged from the back looking completely high and surprised to see people waiting to be helped and said, "Oh, we can't take any orders, our system is down, the people in the back won't be able to see what's being ordered." Are you serious? It's a hot dog shop. Write the order down on a piece of paper, ring me up at your cash register (which appeared to be a non-computer POS) and walk the order to the back yourself while you take another bong hit you loadie. Disgusting. I can only assume they do better business during the academic semesters, but I won't be going back ever again.

Skunked again by WCW on a GH order after 30 minutes past the 1.15 hours I was given as a delivery estimate they lost my order. Then they have the customer service recovery skills to offer to deliver my food another 1.5 hours from now. This is the second time they have done this with a GH order. Never Again their food is not worth a 1.15 hour wait let alone 3 hour wait.

Not sure the gyro meat is fresh. Tastes frozen and didn't see them cutting it. They don't give you cucumber sauce it is sour cream. Not authentic chicago but a nice try.

Had the chicken tenders and fries, and I was pretty pleasantly surprised. The tenders were absolutely perfect. Fries were pretty good too. The place itself was pretty cute, with sports memorabilia everywhere.

So, I've started eating meat again. And, man.... I'm glad! I've tried more than a few of the menu items on Windy City's menu! Here's the deal: the Italian beef is amazing. It's fantastically spiced, well cooked and superbly topped. Same goes for my Chicago Dog exclamation, I haven't had an Italian Beef as good as this since I ate at Al's in Chicago. It was fantastic. The Gyros at this place are decent, not the best, but I greatly enjoy them. For a quick Gyro in Uptown Normal, you can't beat it. It's a great place to try to almost any "Chicago Style" food. Highly recommended.

I've been to WCW many times, and I have an admission. I've never once gotten a hot dog there. That's because their burger is one of the best in b/n. They grill the burgers fresh to order, giving them that backyard over the fire taste. They aren't fancy. Cheese and basic toppings. Sometimes beauty is found in simplicity. Their fries are always hot. Good good stuff. I'm guessing their dogs are good, too. I wouldn't know. I can't steer away from the burger, which is easily one of the top 5 in town.

I am from Chicago and every time I have gotten food here it was bland and just not good. This is nothing like Chicago. I don't think the fries are good either. As in previous reviews, nothing there is fresh. I have also gotten delivery from here and it makes the food even worse. The buns were soggy, it was cold, all of our drink orders were wrong, the pop was really watered down, and it took almost 2 hours to get the food. Just look at the pictures you can even see how soggy their buns are.. I have had their food three times now and would not recommend it. The Chicago style dog was the "best" thing I've had from there. I also tried the gyro and Italian beef. Ew.

I have only had the WCW grilled chicken combo, but I've had it over 10 times. Fries are always hot and chicken is cooked to order. Always friendly service. My pleasure to visit a local small business. Cheaper than Jimmy John's!! Always my Uptown lunch choice.

I really like the food here and the service is normally good. The delivery usually comes when it is supposed to and the workers in the store are also nice. It is a little expensive compared to other places but not too bad.

I love this place. Discovered it a couple months ago and have been back 5-6 times, even walking 4 miles from my apt for it. The staff is cool, the food is great. My favorite is the 2 chili cheese dog special on Saturdays. Very reminiscent of a place that used to be in Decatur, IL that I also loved. If you love hot dogs, check this place out.

This place is the epitome of average. The italian beef is bland and the dogs are okay. The fries are the best things here, but I wouldn't consider that worth coming here. The only thing that makes this an alright joint is the location and how late they stay open. If you get drunk enough, this is a better choice than LaBamba.

After coming home to a menu hanging on our front door knob, we eventually ordered some hot dogs for delivery. Note** I thought it was free delivery over $10, turns out that's only with the coupon on the back of that door knob menu** The daily specials don't include a drink, just the dogs/ sandwich and fries, but the combos do. We got the Friday special, 2 Maxwell Polish sausages and fries, a chili dog, and a chicken tenders combo. The tenders were the same you get at Culvers, just smaller. All in all, the dogs weren't bad, the fries could have been cooked more and the hour delivery seemed a little long considering they are close.

I was extremely impressed with their delivery. I ready reviews saying it was slow, food was cold, they were overcharged, etc. They had extremely fast delivery (at 5:45, which should be a pretty busy time). The food was hot (not warm, but actually hot) when it got here, and the delivery guy was extremely nice. Unfortunately, I'm much less impressed with their food. I got a gyro and fries; the fries were good. The gyro was average at best. This might be because I'm used to gyros from a certain place a couple hours north, but I actually ended up tossing it out. I will try Windy City again-but next time I think I'll try a beef.

Used a coupon, took a bit off the price for my fiancé and I to both get two gyros specials. It was decent size and tasty.
