To preface: I love Starbucks products, they are delicious and amazing, so the only real measure betweeen franchises is the cleanliness of the establishment and the quality of service. This store in particular, messes up my orders more times than they get it right. They've given me the wrong breakfast sandwhich for my GF who does not eat pork, forgot to give me food items numerous times, overfill cups resulting in many a stained laps and screw up the coffee consistantly. Out of the five girls I've seen work there, two are bad, two are nice and try hard, and one is attrocious and has messed up every time she's taken my order. I've been here a dozen plus times since it's the only Starbucks in my area (unless I go out of my way West to Mt. prospect) and it's a shame because I'd gladly go to another store if it were available. Boo to you crappy Starbucks branch.

Drinks are good for most of the time. The staff is friendly. Store is clean. Not a huge selection of pastries but it's ok their coffee makes up for it ;) . I would recommend this place if you're in the area and need a boost.

I love this Starbucks , it's always super clean which is a mega plus in any chain store with food served. The staff is really friendly and deserving of tips and my coffee is always made just as I asked. Very nice! They also have some pretty cute barista/shifts which I'm all for,who isn't? Seriously, you want ugly people making your coffee?!!!

This Starbucks has gotten a lot better. Before there would be 3-4 people on the floor yet only 2 were actually working. I wouldn't understand the need for them to put away packaged coffee when there's a line of people waiting to be served. I go here almost every morning. I don't get all the negative reviews on the older man. I feel like the only time everything runs smoothly is when him and Sam are working. Not only is the line moving, the drinks come out delish! Some afternoons the service is not so great considering there's only 2 people working. Wish this location had a drive through, think it's their biggest downfall.

Thought my latte was weak (and now, after I taste it, it's not even a vanilla latte - my order). I was so irritated, if it weren't for the rain outside, I would have gone back in and had them make it again. First time here...last time, too. The inside decor is average. The location is quite pedestrian. I needed some caffeine so I guess I got what I needed, in that regard.

I am a die hard coffee drinker and love Starbucks but in all honesty I usually try and avoid this location. The employees are nice and I know they are supposed to engage w customers but more than once I've come in here and they won't leave me alone when I'm in a rush. The coffee is usually always good just kind of pricey for what you're getting (which is obviously the usual w any Starbucks). Also after reading other reviews from this Starbucks I see that other patrons have had the same problem w the employees (the JM guy). He was the main reason I drove out of my way to a different Starbucks. It's pretty annoying being bothered before my first cup of coffee.

The service at this store differs at different hours of the day. You are more likely to make to get the right order during the morning than you are the rest of the day. The baristas are also more friendly in the morning.

What's up with the extra long line today? Oh, it's right next door to an AT&T store which was getting mobbed by people buying the new iPhones. The register was on the slow end (which I didn't help by yelling across the store to my SIL to double check if she wanted an iced or hot coffee #noshame) but the drinks were made quickly enough. Pretty efficient for a store that doesn't get over-run by a skyscraper full of 9to5ers. I go this Starbucks a few times a year. They've made my double-tall nonfat no foam latte as expected with no drama. Guess I've been lucky and missed the notorious "John Malkovich" guy.

Thanks to the "John Malkovich guy", I won't return to this location, also in the future I'll think twice about coffee at Starbucks versus their competitors. (I just scanned through reviews before posting and am realizing that other reviewers are also displeased with the same guy. I was really looking forward to a good experience, walking in smelling those aromatic beans whose fresh smell enter your nostrils upon entrance. American life at coffee shops like Starbucks seem bleak when you have diabetes. You wonder whether enjoying a Carmel macchiato, white chocolate mocha or chai tea latte can still happen. Because the order process is so quick, it never leaves time to get details as expressed through "JM Guy's" inability to answer my questions about sugar-free, his quick and vapid response of "You can't do that" in the sound of a snotty brat resounded in my ears. I should have backed away from the counter quietly and walked over to Panera, but before entering Sbux I pondered the calories and whether I wanted to put in the extra hard work at the gym. The menu stated that sugar free syrup is available. As nonsensical as that sounds. It's still syrup right? So are coffee or chai flavors derived from the actual beans and leaves or is it milk, water and syrup? Due to David's behavior the big order I'd planned stayed solely to the single cup. David didn't ask nor did I care to order breakfast items any longer. "JM Guy" needs to read a copy of Dale Carnegie's most famous book. Had he read a copy he would know how to talk to a customer. He'd realize the difference between using "you can't" language and the importance of describing what he could do for a customer. "JM Guy" doesn't look like he's had a good night's rest. Maybe some fruit and a good bowel movement would make him happier. There are customer service training experts which say you've got less than five seconds to make a great impression. In a related note: On a recent trip to Nola, the Sbux which was located in the Marriott I stayed in had one of the most perky, lively and welcoming of Starbucks employee. There was always a nice smile and an entrance greet of some kind despite the growing lines which would inundate the space at the crack of morning. David could learn something from here. They should send him out there to get retrained by that sweet lady. I gotta give it to John Malkovich guy though. Though he didn't know it, he made me realize a few details with this experience. If I felt so moved in the moment, I should have backed out and left. $4.91 was wasted today. That five bucks could have purchased a couple organic fruits which would've put me on cloud 9. Also "JM Guy" made me realize I don't need Starbucks coffee! I had a liter of water in the car, I could have made do through the morning with. Now that I'm sharing all this stuff at 9:30 in the morning today, I make a stellar cup of Joe at home and since my Nola trip have a large can of coffee with chickory from Cafe Du Monde. I'll just keep on perfecting the craft of coffee making at home. Ooh, and I also need to contact management at the Nola Sbux and let them know how awesome I thought of their cashier. Thanks "John Malkovich guy"

Look, I love me some Starbucks. Like, when I'm in another country (you know, the ones with REAL coffee), I still seek out a Starbucks. And, for the most part, they are all the same. That's the great thing about chains: they are usually consistent. This is the Starbucks nearest my work, and I've been going most mornings for the past year and a half. However, I've recently begun re-routing my drive to work just to hit up another Starbucks. One that doesn't have an offensive and borderline creepy employee. I'm talking about the "John Malkovich guy" mentioned in a previous review. His name is David. He works most mornings as a cashier. You really can't miss him. Just look for the guy incessantly making completely inappropriate remarks to women and making douche-bag remarks to anyone who dares to challenge his role as King of All Starbucks Employees. I've stomached this stuff for a long time, and I literally hold my breath as I approach the register. I have seen him make dozens of women uncomfortable. Some giggle with discomfort, others roll their eyes and give me that "this guy is a creep" look. A few may mistake his comments for kindness. On top of that, he is overly pushy. Don't have a Starbucks card? Well, you're clearly an idiot! Don't know how to rattle off a ridiculously pretentious order? Stupid jerk! I know I'm being a little silly here, but truthfully, this is some of the most blatantly appalling behavior I've ever seen from someone in this industry, and it's enough to make me write my first ever review of a Starbucks. And enough to make me take a different route to work.

Upon entering this Starbucks location, I was satisfied to see that the ambiance was calm and extremely welcoming, but that isn't the best part. The Barista who took my order was extremely personable and made the ordering process something fun -- all due to the fact that he was sparking conversation, cracking jokes, making me laugh and was ultimately being himself! After receiving my Vanilla Chai Latte w/Soy (Of course I had to add TWO divine Birthday Cake Pops), I left the building and then proceeded to take a sip of my drink. I don't know what happened, but I did an immediate about-face and marched right back in there to THANK and PRAISE Richard for his Chai Latte making skills! He is truly an asset to that Starbucks and knows how to make drinks very well. Not to mention, he is quick! Isn't that what we all want when going to a Starbucks -- your drink being made to perfection AND promptly.

This particular Starbucks has a smoking problem. On several occasions I have observed people smoking outside in front of this Starbucks, usually right by the entrance. This violates Starbucks' policy (prohibiting smoking within 25 feet of its stores) and violates Illinois state law (Smoke-free Illinois Act).

Worst service I love starbucks and I've had my share of messed up drinks at any starbucks I go to. But it seems that every single time I get a drink from this location, they mess it up horribly. It's right by my new job, when I first started going, I had to stop getting the Iced coffee because they would always screw it up. How do you mess up Iced coffee?! all you have to do is pump the vanilla, pour the coffee and pour the half and half. It always tasted burnt. They don't know how to brew the coffee. I started taking my To Go cold tumbler, to get my black tea LEAMONADE, the john Malchovich guy everyone talks about in the reviews, would give me attitude for it. I guess discounting me 10cents is a big deal to him. Not only that, the baristas that would make my tea would just pour everything into my cup, it's one of the cups that came out 2 years ago, the double sealed ones. I use to work at the starbucks inside target and know that pouring everything into the tumblers will not give you the best taste and it tastes warm cause you're not shaking it with the ice. Well they would just pour everything in my cup and jip me because it wouldn't be filled to the top, if i'm going to pay 5 bucks for ICE TEA, don't want to sound cheap but starbucks isn't cheap and would like my money's worth. that john M. like barista is beyond rude, beside the whole giving me attitude about my own cup, also when i would order pastries he would throw them at me. like I said, it's close to my job, but now i go out of my way and go to the sbux on touhy and millwaukee. but I can't control which one my coworkers go to when they go on the branches starbucks runs every single time they come back with the wrong drink even if they give them the list of the drinks written out when they con! and they'll charge them for the drink we ordered. this location sucks
