Popped by Barnaby's cherry yesterday afternoon. For years, I've asked my wife to check out this place with me and was taken in by the 70's ambiance. You walk in, find a table, get settled and wait. Actually you don't. You then go up to the counter, order the food and wait for it. That's pretty much it. We had a large sausage pizza and it really reminded me of Home Run Inn. Buttery light, thin crust with lots of cornmeal on the underside. Sauce was pretty tomato-y, it didn't taste watered down or was too think. Sausage was seasoned, big chunks all over. I think we'll be back!

i have to confess that i find pizza to be overpriced in general but at its best, every now and then, i really enjoy it. barnabys is one of those places that has been around forever but due to the overwhelming choice of excellent pizza in the chicago area, i have never tried it. it was a confluence of things (giordanos in morton grove was temporarily closed, village inn in downtown skokie is average and a desire to be spontaneous and open minded) that led me to walk into the original niles location recently. now the first thing i noticed was a sign saying "please no running" as well as a preponderance of children. i dont hate children but they are not exactly good signs when looking for quality food. the place reminded me of the old shakeys franchise with the large open area and wood booths. im sorry to say that whatever has kept this place in business this long cannot be attributed to the pizza. it was mediocre to say the least. i was intrigued by the cornmeal crust (kind of unknown to me on thin crust) but the grittiness it lent to the crust was not good. the sauce was very average, the cheese so-so and the whole thing was overcooked. take your childrens softball team to barnabys or your own one. drink enough beer and you will not notice the mediocrity, save yourself 10 bux and buy a frozen red baron pizza. but in the chicago area, do not settle for anything less than excellence!

This is our all-time favorite pizza place their crust is so good. You can get it anywhere you want to. The other menu items like the fried mushrooms are great too. Is also so kid friendly.

Excellent pizza. The Monday BOGO special is great. We order them par-baked and freeze them.

I've been coming here since the '70's and continue to when I really want a good extra thin crispy pizza! It's pretty much a self service joint where you wait in line to place your order and then wait for your number to be called to pick up your order. The drinks come from the bar and the appetizers and pizza from the food line. Their appetizers are nothing special to speak of and they serve the usual fare like garlic bread, cheesy bread, mozzarella sticks etc, but come here for the pizza!! The only thing I don't like is there are no large tables for the entire family, rather you sit in booths next to each other, side by side if you are more than 4 people.

I've accepted the disorganized and inconsistent service in exchange for BOGO pizzas on Monday nights. I can't help myself.

I have been going to this location since I had moved back to Chicago and have visited other locations as well, I have to give Barnaby's in niles the trophy. Great pizza, great service, keep it up guys!

This is by far my favorite pizza place. I hadn't been there in a long time and decided to introduce my kids to this great pizza. We were not disappointed. The pizza came out quickly, hot and just as tasty as I remembered. The kids loved it too. If there are any downfalls it would be that the place gets awfully chilly this time of year.

TRADITION I have been coming here since I was a little child. It is my Dad's favorite pizza, so when he is in town we still come here. Recently it was his birthday and this is where he wanted to eat, so we packed up the family and headed out for dinner. I was amazed at how crowded this place was for the day after Thanksgiving. I figured everyone would be at home eating cold turkey sandwiches but that was not the case. When you arrive here you place your order at the front counter and then wait for your number to be called. It is really funny because the guy calling the numbers tonight was getting his whole mouth into the microphone. It sounded like a bad drive thru speaker. I am not sure how anyone knew what number he called. While we were waiting for our pizzas I took my little one to the window to watch the cooks make pizzas. She loved it. I was a little bored but I remember when I was a child I was fascinated with this process. It's probably because I'm older and I love to cook. I really want to get back there and make my own pizza. We usually get a couple of combo baskets of fried mushrooms, cauliflower & zucchini. My Dad loves these but I think they are just terrible. I'm a fan of the pizza here. I wouldn't recommend ordering these because they are not going to win any culinary awards. I've seen other people order sandwiches but they never look great to me. So I can't recommend anything else here besides the pizza. We ended up getting 4 different pizzas for our party. I was able to taste the pepperoni & black olive and the sausage. Both were really good but I liked the pepperoni & black olive a lot more. Which is kind of funny because my Dad kept asking who ordered that pizza. It was my little girl. My Dad doesn't like change much, so we typically order the same pizzas every visit. As a child my Dad only ordered sausage as a topping and that was it. I thought it was cute how the little one could bring a little change to the table. I know that when we eat here again my Dad will make sure to order the little one her favorite pizza. He is a good grandpa like that and doesn't forget. If you've never had a pizza here then you are in for a unique treat. I love the crispy crust. I wish I knew how to twist the dough to make the braided crusts on their pizzas. If my wife leaves her crusts I immediately eat them. Yeah they are that good. The crust is golden in color with a perfect crispy crunch. It is buttery with a corn meal grit to it. No other pizza place in Chicago makes a crust like this. I hope that this location stays in business forever. At one time Barnaby's had almost 40 locations. They were even purchased by Bally's who had planned to add arcades to all of the locations but this never happen. I have seen other locations close over the years but I would be sad to see this one go because it has become a family tradition. It has been open for over 4 decades and we are on our third generation of out family eating here. So this place is more then just a pizza place, it is part of our lives.

I love barnabys! I can't understand the low reviews for the service... Ummm this is an extremely limited service place. You order your pizza and your drink from a counter and that's pretty much the extent of your interaction with the service. The pizza is so good. I don't know what they do to their crust, but it's always so so good!!! The braided crust is almost like a beer crust or something, whatever the recipe is, it's awesome. I like the simplicity of the restaurant. No bells and whistles, no need to bend over backwards for needy guests, just good old fashioned, you like it come back, you don't, don't! I happen to think the workers are great. They add to the rustic charm of the place. We love you barnabys!!! Don't ever conform!

I've only had flat pizza at one other restaurant; I'm more a deep-dish girl. When I moved my friend wanted me to try this place, and I have to say I was really, really surprised. At the other place, I only ate the food because someone I was with wanted it; Barnaby's pizza is completely different in quality and taste. The manager/owner/whoever that is there when I've been there doesn't really seem overly friendly, but the counter help is. I am a little surprised whenever I see a restaurant that doesn't offer free refills, but a pitcher doesn't cost an exhorbatant amount of money and was enough for two.

walked into a empty restaurant...i should of known!! the guy who was working there was nice but the food was just horrible.. the fried mushrooms had no taste and the pizza was way to oily for me i dont think i will be ever going back there again.

Thin flaky, buttery crust, with just a little bit of give to it. Exactly the kind of pizza, I, for one, like. Price is a little steep, about 15 bucks for a 14 inch and drinks are outrageous. You're better off with a pitcher of soda or a beer since the soft drinks are almost a buck and a half for a 10 oz glass, no refills. But, considering I can't seem to find a pizza quite like this anywhere else, I'll be back. I really like the dim lights and many rows of booths, its a comfortable getaway from the harsh overhead lighting at work.

Took the family here.. its a dark wooded reteraunt with no staff.. Not a big deal except we had to clear off our table after our meal. Pizza is great...tasty and deliciou sthin crust. they also had $8 Pitchers of Point Beer. We will be coming back

This place brings back SO many great memories. Growing up, I used to be in a ton of Softball leagues. Our coaches would have almost every league party here. That said, there are still tons of little kids that run up and down the aisles, waiting for their pizza. The sign on the wall says, "We don't mind your kids if you do." This place is large and a little dark and dank. The tables are Brown Wooden Booths. Beer Steins hang on the rafters for decor. The pizza is served thin style and you can by beer and pop by the pitcher. I gotta say that their pizza is awesome! I miss it sometimes. Ahh Barnaby's....

Discount all reviews prior to mid 2008. I've been going there for over 30 years and it was always a 5-star place. I've probably bought over 1,000 pizza from them during that time frame. For whatever reason, they changed their recipe, and now it is horrible. I'm pretty sure that it is a new owner. Nobody will admit to anything so there is no way to tell why they made the change. The crust is completely different and the cheese are sauce are way different as well. I have confirmed my opinion with 3 other former Barnaby's fans who also will never go there again. Until they put a sign outside that the old recipe has returned, I highly suggest avoiding Barnaby's. The new owner probably thinks that people are staying away due to the economy, but it isn't the economy, it is the product that has changed. Very sad.

A friend drove us up here from Chicago on a Friday night. He frequented a Barnaby's during his youth and wanted to bask in some nostalgia. This place is right out of a time warp &emdash; there's no way it's changed much in the last 30 years. That isn't a bad thing, of course! The pizza is pretty damn good and the pitchers of beer are cold (and cheap). There is also a cast of characters here that are right out of a Farrelly Brothers movie. Sweet!

I never ate at Barnaby's while growing up, so I had no attachment to the place going in. Really wound up there by accident, cruising around wanting (for some reason) not to go with "the old standbys", and swung into Barnaby's. It's pretty clear walking in that the reason Barnaby's exists is to serve the (light) industrial area immediately east of it, and has done so for many, many generations. Fairly dark place, with a lot of dark wood; if that's your thing you'll like it! *CHEAP* beer. If you're an Old Style kind of guy and like to drink it by the gallon, this should be on your list. Definitely a family friendly establishment, despite the proximity to the industrial area and the cheap beer. (A little confused by this? I am too!) There were a ton of families in there at 9 PM on a Saturday. When you enter, you'll notice that it's the type of establishment where you order at a counter, pick it up at a counter, and then grab a seat. High cuisine this isn't, but I can't knock a place for that type of setup; it is what it is. What's (very) odd about Barnaby's set up is that it actually has THREE counters with THREE pick up areas! To the far left is the bar, where all drinks are ordered and picked up. In the middle is pizza land. Far right is grill land. So at a minimum, you're going to be making at least two transactions in two different pieces of the restaurant if you want food and a drink. Not a real big fan of that; all I wanted was a coke; you'd think I could get that anywhere. Nope. So instead you wind up walking the length of the restaurant to pick up your drink. Hrmmmm..... Apparently (judging from other Yelpers) I made a mistake by not ordering the pizza. We all decided to order from the grill that night, since we hadn't set out to get pizza. Looking back, that definitely was a mistake. My buddy and I both ordered a BBQ roast beef. I figure it's a pretty hard thing to screw up; slice some beef, throw on some halfway decent BBQ sauce and it'd be passable. Unfortunately, it was not to be. After running a few laps around the place to get our drinks, our order was ready. The wife's grilled chicken was cooked. Thoroughly. I *think* it was still chicken, though it could easily have been sliced super firm tofu with grill marks at that point as it had absolutely no taste. My buddy's (and my!) BBQ sandwich was Arby's quality or slightly below; the meat had a rubbery quality to it that I thought Arby's had patented. The BBQ sauce was also fairly miserable (You know that *bad* BBQ sauce that they sell in 50 gallon drums? It's *that* stuff.) and the french fries were entirely tasteless, even *with* salt and ketchup added! To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. I was really hoping to add a place to the list of stand-bys, especially with cheap beer, a family friendly atmosphere, and lots of dark wood. But Barnaby's seems to have forgotten that people go to a restaurant *to* *eat*. If the place had at least halfway decent food I'd give it three and a half, maybe four stars because I like a lot about "everything else". ...but unfortunately it doesn't, and giving two stars to a restaurant with fairly miserable food is generous.

One of the best! It's thin crust, unbelievably crispy and oh so tasty! It's definitely worth the 20 minute drive. The crust to sauce to toppings ratio is perfect. I grew up eating Barnaby's, but they closed the one by my house. The pizza is consistently awesome. It's just like I remember it. Even the restaurant itself hasn't changed a bit. You don't find pizza joints like this anymore, either. It's a typical old-school pizza place - you even eat on paper plates. You place your order when you walk in, head to the side-bar to order drinks, find a place to sit and wait for your number to be called over the loud speaker. A couple tips, just pick your piece up and eat it with your hands. The cheap plastic forks just melt when they touch the pizza. You might also want to consider just ordering the pitcher of whatever it is you're drinking - it'll save you from having to visit the bar each time you take a drink from the sip-sized glasses.

I've been going to Barnaby's for years--since I was a kid-- and basically nothing has changed here over the years. Same great old style environment and same great pizza. The only downside that I would comment on is the prices have gone up quite a bit--- for 2 soft drinks and a large pizza it was around $22, and the pizza wasn't even that big (my girlfriend and I ate it all and we're pretty light eaters). Overall we will certainly come back.

Feel the same way as Bonkzilla. My first time the other night will be my last. Very weird with having lines! We came early but what happens when it's crowded? Are there people lined up all over the place? The pizza wasn't even good. It tasted like a red baron frozen pizza!

Great restaurant where you can take the entire family. They have some really delicious pizza here that everybody seems to love. And the atmosphere here is really casual and relaxed, which makes it a fun place to bring the kids to.

The best thin crust pizza, no question. This is a matter of fact, not opinion. Lou Malnatis? Apples to oranges. If you still think Lou's has the best deep dish, clearly you haven't tried Pequod's.
(5)
Amanda A.
I have always been a thick crust, deep dish pizza kind of girl - but this is enough to change anyone's mind. This hole in the wall family pizza joint dusts its crust with cornmeal and it makes all the difference. There is also one in northbrook on skokie highway.

I loved coming here as a kid! I would feel like such a grown up ordering the pizza at the counter and then having your number called. Also it involved pitchers of soda, what kid doesn't like pitchers of delicious root beer? I think that the pizza at Barnaby's is rather unique, especially for the suburbs. Do check it out if you are in the area

I have such mixed feelings about Barnaby's. Adore the pizza, but the restaurant is a pit. And you really have to wonder what happened to ruin the owner/manager's disposition-in 12 years of going to Barnaby's, he's been uniformly surly and unpleasant. He appears to have to force himself to be civil to his customers. I"d give it 4 stars for the pizza but two for his attitude and the abysmally drab interior. Not that a bad review will hurt. The place is jammed at night. Call ahead and order or you'll have a long wait. And no refils on soda? That sucks. Pick up the pizza and eat it anywhere else-the atmosphere will be better.

This is a terrific pizza place to bring the whole family to. There's tons of seating and it's a counter service place, so no having to leave a tip. Plus, the dark atmosphere and serve- yourself-approach gives you time to relax without a pesky waiter coming by every few minutes. They also have a bar for wine and beer and serve other food such as sandwiches.

I have been getting my pizza at Barnaby's since I was little. The last time I picked up a pizza there, it had a 2" metal bolt in it!!! I was shocked and called them and spoke with the manager and he was really nice and apologetic about it and told me to come in and they will give me whatever I want. In fact he told me exactly where the bolt came from because there pizza shovel was wobbly and missing a bolt. Now, I'm not the type of person to sue anything that moves or take advantage of a situation. I came back the next day with the piece of pizza with the metal bolt in it and I spoke with the other manager who was working that day. This guy was rude and he even accused me of PLANTING the bolt in the pizza to get a free pizza out of them!!!! What the hell? He said they dont even have bolts like that in there restaurant! I am not a scammer, I am just a customer and for him to pretty much push me out of the store I felt hurt and upset! What if I bit down on that bolt in my pizza? I could've broke a couple of teeth and choked!!! And now that I think about I wish that I did sue. I will never eat at Barnaby's again and everytime I eat pizza I am worried I might be biting into something other than cheese and toppings.

I've been here a few times over the years with friends and headed here recently to celebrate a friend's birthday. The place was pretty busy, as it was prime dinner time on a Saturday night. We walked in and saw our large party toward the back. They had reserved quite a number of tables in one general area so that we could all sit together. Even so, the booths are small, made for only 2 or 4 people, so talking to more people than fit at the table was a challenge. There are no chairs to pull up for others to join a table. Still, the food came out quickly and was tasty. We started with onion rings (my favorite), which were perfectly fried up, garlic bread, and fries (they needed salt). Then, not too much later, the pizzas came out. They ordered three kinds - cheese, pepperoni, and sausage. I stuck to the pepperoni and was pleasantly surprised at how much pepperoni was on the pizza. The pizza was well cooked (not overdone), and there was ample cheese. My only complaint is that I felt it was a little on the greasy side. Still, it's a good choice for thin, braided, cornmeal crusted pizza. There are also sandwiches, but I didn't have one. They do serve alcohol, though don't expect a huge selection. We had beer, but there are a few wine and mixed drink choices. The alcohol prices are cheap - even on a Saturday. I think a rum and coke was $5 and Leinenkugel's was a little over $3. I will be back with friends, but I'm not sure I'd make this place a destination place for pizza.

Pizza is good, the rest needs serious work. I went to Barnaby's for lunch today by myself. I ordered a Pepsi, cheese sticks and an 10 inch peperoni pizza, the total was 17 dollars, and i left a two dollar tip thinking there would be some kind of service. 19 dollars is very steep for lunch. The cheese sticks arrived, they were completely uninspired cheese sticks out of a bag and dumped in the fryer. the cheese was too tough as if it hadn't been heated all the way through and the marinara sauce was ice cold and boring. The only thing preventing a one star rating was the pizza, it was actually pretty good. the crust is thin and has some kind of twisted dough around the outside. When I asked for a refill on the fountain Pepsi I was charged another two dollars. The bathroom was not clean. 21 dollars for a sub-par lunch and a bad experience. sorry Barnaby's you'll never see me again, its a shame because the pizza is actually not bad.

This is my husband's favorite pizza. For decades this restaurant has served delicious thin crust pizza. We even had a low key rehearsal dinner here before our wedding! Thanks for making delicious pizza our toddler enjoys as well!

Kind of disappointed because of the wait. We got here and an hour later we still had not received our order. People that were coming in for to go orders were getting their good sooner then we were and people that order to eat in after us got their good first as well. The crust was very hard. I've had thin crust before but this was a little too hard for my tasting. Ingredients and sauce was good and the place is cozy.

This is a VERY unique place. Take the family if you want a fun experience. This place is a time zone. Step back into the 70's. I took the extended family for a family dinner. Everybody had a good time. We took up 3 booths. The teens, the Tweens, and the P's. Pitchers of pop, some brews for the wife, appetizers and some pizza. They were out of root beer, and Dr pepper. What on a Friday night....come on.... No biggie, nothing to loose sleep over. The appitizers were marginal, but came out quick. It's almost a serve yourself joint. No wait staff. The pizza took a bit longer, but was surprisingly good. THIN CRUST. The decor is old, the service was so-so, the food was ok. The experience was unique, which equates to Family Fun. We will be back.

Pizza is thin and delicious. Atmosphere is quirky and old school. Cash only at the bar for drinks! But they do take credit for pizza and food. My kids love watching the guys making the pizza through the windows in the old school ovens. If we could do our Friday night pizza night every Friday at Barnaby's, we would! Food comes out fresh and hot and staff are pretty friendly and it's a fun atmosphere. Saw my mailman out for a Niles post office person's retirement there! Was hilarious.

If you value your stomach then stay away from this place!!! The pizza and the rest of their food is not fit for animals let alone people!! I have no idea why this place is still in business but they need to be shut down before someone ends up in the hospital due to their sub par food!! I wouldn't give them 1 star but it won't let you post without putting at least 1 star up which is mis-leading as this place doesn't deserve any stars but I will give this place the middle finger!!

I have been going to Barnaby's for pizza all of my life. The crust of the pizza is excellent and as a result this is one of the best thin crust pizzas you will find. There is a good selection of the basic toppings and it is always well prepared. If there is a shortcoming it would be that pizza only comes in a 10" and a 14" size. A bigger offering, say 18" would be a welcome addition. The self-service food counter and bar service makes for an inexpensive meal. Another great thing is that the game is always on on of its half a dozen TV sets. This place is family friendly so if you go before 8:00 pm you will see plenty of kids. That can be good or bad depending on if you are bringing kids or just want a good pizza, some sports and a beer in relative quite. The appetizer/side dishes are pretty good. the sandwiches are pretty go too. But remember, this is a pizza place and the pizza is the star of the show.

Amazing pizza. I have been going here since 1998. They have had several staff changes but the pizza has been consistent. The owner is rude, burnt out, staff can be snobby, place is dingy etc....but the pizza is amazing (if you tip the owner he will give u service himself, the bald guy). I have moved up north now but I still drive to barnbys because their pizza is amazing. Also, this Barnabys is pretty unique from other locations. The locations on Rand rd, Northbrook, Schaumburg (now closed) and Touhy ave Chicago (now closed) all have/had their unique taste.....been to all locations countless times. I actually started eating barnaby's on their Touhy location where there is a Jewish temple now. My favorite is the Caldwell location though. Monday is buy one get one day.

This is a place you come for the food, not the service, not that my service has ever been terrible, but like I said, this is a place for pizza. Albeit a bit greasy, the thin crust pizza is amazing. My family has been coming here for over a decade now and it's just as good as it was when I first remember it. I really honestly do miss the window being open for the pizza makers to hand the kids a piece of dough to play with while they wait for the food to come out, it was the best part when I was growing up. It's still nice that kids can go watch the pizza being made there though. The pizza dough is so different from every other thin crust pizza I've ever tasted, it's got this almost sweet buttery taste to it. This place is great for after kids soccer and baseball games, it also has a separate bar for the adults to grab a pitcher of beer or pop from. a tip: Whenever I've been in for lunch, it's much quieter than during busy dinner hours.

DO NOT GO HERE FOR LUNCH!!!! They have three people working, one is just a miserable old lady who is just miserable. You order lunch at one register, where they flatly refuse to take your drink order, you have to go to the bar for that. Go to the bar and wait 10 minutes, at this point I see my beef sandwich being delivered to my table. So I go back over to miserable lady who is miserable on the register and politely ask if I may order a beverage and she starts yelling at me that she is only one person and she will get to it when she does. Yelling at me. Then I went to eat my nasty beef which was totally nasty. I hate that mean old lady.

I was a little confused when I first came here. I wasn't sure if I seated myself or what not. Well, you do. Then I sat there for about 5 minutes waiting for a waiter. No one came. You actually go up yourself and order. And then they call your name when it ready. I was so confused. So whenever you need something you go up yourself and get it. They have great thin crust pizza, I just didn't like the way it was set up. They also had a sign on the wall saying "buy one get one free pizza Mondays" and I thought that was awesome. So I asked if we could do that. But unfortunately that offer expired last year.

How can I make this review worth your while? Not much to say that hasn't been said so here goes: How is the pizza? Pretty good actually Is this place OK for the kids? Yes, definitely. It's the perfect place to bring the family is it fancy? Absolutely not, jeans and t-shirts for sure. Is it expensive? No, average though I think the cost of pop is more than it should be Does it get crowded? At some point i'm sure but i've gone on weekend nights and haven't had a problem getting a seat. BUT the tables only seat 4 so get booths close by. Can I get y drink on? Yes! Pack the fam in the van and have some pizza.

I love Barnaby's and probably go three or four times a year when I'm craving their pizza crust and their veggie basket. The reason this place is getting 3 stars is because of the customer service. My goodness. I understand people can have a bad day but just a simple "hi" is all I'm asking for, not "what do you want." They're busy on Thursday, Friday, Saturday nights but Monday night is the night NOT to go there unless you want to trip over children of irresponsible parents and wait 45 minutes for a medium cheese pizza. Monday nights they do a buy one pizza get one free, and as awesome as that deal is, I suggest you order your pizzas ahead of time. The seating is a little weird, so if you have a big party it's likely you won't all be sitting together. The food is yummy but it's not your typical Chicago style pizza. Give Barnaby's a whirl and it's either for you or not, just don't expect any sort of nice service. By the way, this review is based off of several visits, with each time having a bad experience with customer service.

I have been eating this fabulous pizza since I was a small child. The greatest thing about them is the pizza has not changed one bit. I love the crust, very soft and chewy and the pizzs just melts in your mouth. Best thin crust I have ever had. The staff, Larry the manager has been there for years and is a super guy. Mary Jo takes your order (and always remembers you), and she is the best! This is a large family pizza place. Their menu has expanded to include appetizers such as cheese fries and mozzerella sticks. They also have delicious sandwiches and salads too. You can watch sports, have a birthday party, or just relax. This place is #1.

I f*cking love this place. Out of all the Barnabys around here...this one by far makes THE best pizza. I would eat it everyday if I could. Great Monday night special of buy one pizza get one free.

So far I really really really like Barnabys personal pizzas. My office has ordered them a couple times and its dirt cheap. About 6 bucks with a drink! I really like their crispy cornmeal crust too. To me their pizza is just good classic thin crust. I love a good thin crust more than anything and so far this place delivers. My coworkers, who have been ordering from Barnabys for much much longer than me have said that their pizza is really hit or miss and they have had some bad experiences. I have only had their pizza twice but so far it has been really good and my coworkers agreed the times I ordered it was very good. Hopefully I never get to share in their bad experiences!

I've gone here quite a few times and thought I would finally write a review. In short, Barnaby's is a great pizza place, with customer-friendly priced food and drinks. The pizza crust is very original and I haven't found anything like it any place else. They have televisions everywhere and plenty of seating. This is an ideal place a family looking for a casual night out.

Great thin crust pizza. Just wished they served bigger sizes than a 14"! Still, wonderful place for dining in and watching sports games.

The townie bar of pizza joints. One of the best thin crust pizzas around (only Lou's is better IMHO).

I'd give this place 5 stars to bring it up from the 3.5 average it currently has, but that'd be a little too aggressive with all of the pizza options in Chicagoland. I consider myself a pizza connoisseur, so I'll save my 5 stars for a couple other places. I rated this location because it had the lowest out of the other ones I've been to, but they're all the same. In short, it's not like most other pizzas in Chicago... The crust is almost card-boardy, but really good for some reason. Otherwise, it's just good thin crust pizza if you're looking for a casual sit down with the family or team (not too thin, not too thick crust). It's just a good place to go if you want a pitcher of beer and low-key atmosphere, and above average pizza. You order up at the counter, and then they call your number or name to come pick it up from the pizza "bar" area...then bring it back to your booth. Lots of booth seating, which is nice. Enjoy.

I went with a 5 other friends. Our food was a bit greasy, there were family's that were seated after us that received their food way before we did. Their wine selection is terrible, and I can't drink beer due to an allergy. The price wasn't bad, but I really can't recommend this place to anyone at this time.

Cool, older place. Great pizza and pitchers of beer. Never really seen it super busy, but it can get somewhat crowded with sports teams after games. Their pizza is really tasty, and the crust is pretty unique. Always reminds me of jumbo pretzel.

Complaining does not count as a review, but I have a few complaints. If you have a party bigger than 4, don't plan on sitting together. All this place has is booths. We had 6 adults and 3 kids with us, not to mention you sit where you want and it was a Saturday night so it was difficult finding 2 booths near each other. There are no servers, you go up to a counter and order, when they call your number, you go up and get it. I don't know who the bartender was, but don't act like you are doing me a favor when I order a pitcher of beer. I get it dude, you're the bald, tattooed, edgy, angry guy, but your not on a reality TV show so drop it. As far as the pizza goes.......Pizza are like dogs, there is no such thing as bad pizza, just bad people making pizza. It was alright. Definately not the best, but not the worst.

We've been a regular patron of Barnaby's for years. My parents took me here when I was a kid and now I take my kids here. This is my go to place for Pizza. We call ahead and our order is always hot and ready when we get there. The kitchen area where the make the pizza is always a draw for kids. There's a place where they can stand and watch their pizza being made. And don't miss the bartender. This guy has been there as long as I can remember. Nicest guy in the world. When my son was about 4, he took a look at the bartender and exclaimed, "Look, mom! A pirate!" One of the cutest moments ever - you could hear the fearful tremble in his voice but also the note of admiration when he said pirate. I'm looking forward to the day I have grandchildren whom I'll take to Barnaby's.

To Barnaby's: - Please wash your tables. Sticky forearms don't wet the appetite. - Please watch how long your food takes to bake. An hour plus for a medium pizza is not good service. - Hosts and cashiers can start acting like they are in the restaurant industry by saying hi to their customers. Probably the worst restaurant Ive been to, ever.

Half-price menu items during Monday Night Football? I'm THERE! Used to come here for years during the summers as my father's league softball teams gathered for post-game meals and drinks. I grew up loving and knowing the pizza pretty well, enjoying the atmosphere (wooden walls, wooden floors, wooden tables and benches, all dark), and delighting in the free freeze pops that the owners used to give to my sister and I. Now that time has passed, my father doesn't play on that particular league anymore, and I've moved around, I didn't know where this place was. I still remembered and cherished it. Then one day, recently, when I was out goecaching, I drove by the location and found out it was merely a five-minute drive from my house! NEAT! Took my boyfriend here for dinner on a Monday night as soon as I could and discovered the half-price menu. We enjoyed the football game, beer, and food. The pizza was the same as always, and still good (especially at the half price). My boyfriend said his Italian beef (with cheese) was one of the best he ever had. Needless to say, we will be back as soon as we can. Yay, Barnaby's!

Service and pizza was fine, despite what some others have said. The food wasn't greasy and staff was pleasant at this old school place. We got our pizzas rather quickly considering it was very busy. The pizza crust has a grainy, corn meal texture, which some people like a lot. I found the sauce to be nearly tasteless. Other than that, I didn't have any complaints. Though I had Domino's the next night and enjoyed that a lot more. It was odd though that even the largest tables could only seat four people. Also, there were a ton of kids running around on the Saturday night I was there. It reminded me of a Chucky Cheese without the games.

Barnaby's is a great family pizza place. We had salads which were big, fresh and delicious, served in big plastic shells. The pizza is amazing with dough that is very nice and unlike any I've had before. In the middle the crust was crispy, on the edges it was braided and chewy. The sauce is delicious, and plenty of nice cheese and tasty vegetables. They also have a great selection of sandwiches though I didn't try any this time. The whole place is back to back booths in dark wood. There are a few nice big TVs, which are good for showing Monday night football, or in our case, the Olympics. Now, it's not fancy, but I'm not fancy. I feel comfortable here, and the food was really great.. The people who work there don't fuss over you, but I don't want that, and they take good care of you, and that's what matters. I'd go back again any time.

If you like excellent thin crust pizza then come here or go to the other Barnaby's in Northbrook. Walk in, order your pizza or sandwich, get a pitcher of beer and find a seat and wait for your name or number to be called. It's worth it...trust me!

This USED to be the best pizza around. I have since learned that the kids took over the business and have changed the cheese and are also skimping on the sausage so the pizza last night was a pile of grease with barely any sausage.....the only thing that was good was the fries which we ate as an appetizer since the pizza takes sooooooo long to make.

I love this place, and have eaten here since I could eat so thats about 30 years now! The pizza is the best the staff are just homey and even though there are others who may complain about serivce, maybe they need to realize that we are all human and make mistakes. I dont know anyone but Jesus that was perfect. With that said I want to thank Barnabys for sticking it out and not changing up the atmosphere or their recipes! You all are probably the only place that I remember as a kid loving that is still around and still the same!!!

Barnaby's is located on Caldwell just south of Oakton Street on the west side of the street. The building is a single-story, free-standing structure with plenty of off-street parking. The interior is equipped with dark wood booths, dark ceramic tile floor, dark wood paneling and dark ceiling tiles. You place your food order and pay for it at the cashier. However, your drink order is placed in a separate area. Your order number is shouted over the PA system. Pizza is picked up at the cashier and other food items (e.g. sandwiches, fries, onion rings) are picked up in a separate area. It sounds more complicated than it is. I've been a customer for many years although it had been a year since my last visit. The pizza is thin crusted with a crispy twisted dough perimeter. The tomato sauce and toppings are tasty. At dinner time there are many families present. Later in the evening the crowd is different with people enjoying pizza, beer and a game on the TV. If you're in the area, it's worth a try. Please note the pizza at this Barnaby's is dramatically different and in my opinion much better than the other Barnaby's restaurants.

In my previous review I slammed this place because of the staff. We were starved one night out shopping in a snow storm and needed a place to eat as we were passing Barnaby's. Despite the scary experience last time we tried it again. This time there were no problems and no scary employees on prison release. Pizza is great and the beer is cold. Plenty of TV to watch the sports game. We'll be back.

The pizza here is overrated and the other food tastes like it has been deep fried in dirty oil. The restaurant itself has an uncomfortable atmosphere.

I have been eating Barnaby's pizza since I was a kid. I lived blocks from the one on Touhy in Chicago and it was always a favorite. That location closed years ago so I started going to the one in Niles, as it was the next closest. Used to hit this place up for lunch, when I worked in Skokie, about once a month. Again, always a favorite. Guy who owned it/managed the place was AWESOME - super nice. A few years ago, I noticed that the service (and somewhat the pizza) at this place was going south. There was a super cranky guy in there at lunch that literally never smiled - it was almost scary making your order and paying. You literally thought he was going to rip your throat out. The nicer of the people who worked there was this dude who looked like one of the Bear's Super Fans. He is one of those guys who, when you tell them no onions, they hand you your order and say "Extra onions, right?" but really, they got your order right. He is playful, which once in a while is totally fun and cool.....if you get the order right. Last night, leaving work, I call and order a pizza. Playful dude asks for what time, I say "4:30". He tells me that if I pick up after 5, it's buy one, get one. I ponder this and say "No, I can't wait until 5 to pickup - 4:30 please" He says "Ok." Takes my order and says "Ok, see you at 5:05" HA HA - funny guy playing games. Just to make sure I say "Ok - I will see you at 4:30". "OK" he says "5:05". Huh? Ok - he is just playing around. Show up at 4:35 - go in and say I am there to pickup and Super Fan looks at me blankly. HA HA - funny funny! I tell him my name AND my order and he starts arguing with me, saying things like "Are you sure you called this Barnaby's?" "Yes" I say...."I talked to you". "How do you know you talked to me?" he says all pissy. "Because I know your voice and have been coming here for years" I say. He keeps telling me he has no order like mine and finally as I am about to pull out my cell phone to show him that I did indeed call THIS Barnaby's, he miraculously finds the ticket with my order and says "I told you 5:05", showing me the order with a "505" written on top. I said "Yes, and I told you NO, 4:30" He keeps arguing the point that he said 5:05. At this point, I was pissed. He says "Well, I can do it right now - you want me to do it right now?" and I ask how long and he says "15 to 20 minutes" and I say, now that it's 4:40,"Well, that would be 5 p.m. then, wouldn't it and I told you I couldn't wait until then to pick up." He says "You don't want it then?" I just left. Called Paternos on Central (since it's in my neighborhood), got my order PERFECT. From what it looks like, new ownership has ruined this joint. If I have a craving for Barnaby's again (which is probable) I will have to try another location.

The old man and I were drinking a ton of Diesel (Budweiser for those that aren't cool like me) on Saturday and we were hungry. He suggested Hooters, but when I mentioned Barnaby's his eyes lit up like a little girl. I kicked him in the nuts to remind him that he was somewhat of a man and once he recovered we made the trip to Barnaby's. When talking about my favorite pizza places I always forget about Barnaby's. Barnaby's just feels like a pizza place. Well duh it is dumbass. I don't know how to explain it, but few places have that feeling. (Lous being one of them) I was on a search for the best crispy pizza a couple of months ago, but really I should have never started. This is the best, no question about it. We ordered two pizzas because we were hungry. One would have been more than enough, but it was nice to cure my hangover the next day with some left over delicious crispy sausage pizza. I've tried every variety of pizza they have on the menu and they are all good. Just plain sausage though is the way to go in my opinion. I've read some reviews about people not liking the setup, but I actually like the layout. I don't have to wait around to get another pitcher; I just walk up to the counter and ask for another. Voila quick and easy. Plus they have Michelob on draft. My string of 5 star restaurants continues!! Maybe I'm just to easy to please...

Very good thin crust pizza. I ate one with everything on it and that is rare for me. The pizza was quite enjoyable to my surprise. Picked up fresh from the oven right on time and everything from the cheese to crust I really liked it. Maybe the toppings were overload but it didn't kill the pizza. I never considered this place in the past now I change my mind. The prices are competitive and the quality is good far beyond what you can get at a papa johns or dominos. I will probably try another Barnaby's pizza in the future 4 star pizza not sure about the service or the inside of the restaurant . This review is based only on their take out pizza.

Been going to Barnaby's since I was a kid and now I go with my kids! Love everything, but I agree customer service could be better but it's not awful either. The pizza is NOT your usual deep or thin crust pizza that is known in Chicago. It's thinner but oh-so-good. Over the years I've seen that there are two major groups regarding Barnaby's -- those who absolutely hate it and those who love it. Call in your pizza before you go sit in - it will save a lot of time!

I grew up going to the Barnaby's on Touhy & California (no longer there), loving every minute of it! Well, while it's still the same place it always was, each one looking the same as the next on the inside, as an adult I cannot say that the pizza was fantastic. Although, my kids enjoyed each and every bit and it's definitely better than the cardboard pizza at the national chain restaurants. The appetizers are all stuff the kids will eat (mozzerella sticks, onion rings, french fries), so it's definitely a great place to go with your kids. The plus for grown ups is that a pitcher of beer is still reasonable! I don't think I'll go when it's just my husband and I, but as a family pizza joint, it's well worth continuing the tradition my family has had.

Some of the best thin crust pizza you will ever have! I have come to Barnaby's for years, and I swear i could eat it every day. Very thin crust pizza (and it tastes amazing) and great tasting toppings. My favorites are Green Olives (Awesome), and Pepperoni and Sausage. They don't skimp on the toppings. I personally love the overall vibe of the Inn as well. Pizza is a little greasy, but trust me the heartburn is completely worth it!

As another reviewer said, this is the best of the Barnaby's restaurants. Pizza is one of those foods that everyone has a strong opinion about. My opinion is that this is the best thin crust pizza anywhere. I've been coming here since I was a kid for 40+ years. There are some other great thin crust pies in Chicago but none are better than Barnaby's in Niles

I don't like thin crust pizza. Somehow, though, I love Barnaby's. Maybe it's because I can get there on the way home from work and avoid rush hour entirely. Maybe it's because it's the first Chicago thin crust place I went to. I just know that if I have to eat thin crust, I'm going here. The restaurant itself is basically a cave, but that isn't always a bad thing. However, going from summer sun to pitch black and back isn't all that much fun. Also, if you're of age, you might want to just go for (the very cheap) beer instead of (the very expensive, unrefillable) soda.

I've never been to Barnaby's until last night and now I know why. I was excited at first about coming, reading that the place received 4 1/2 stars. Why, I don't know. The outside looks like it would be a fun Cheers type place. With it's painted murals of smiling men and a woman, holding pitchers of beer while old drunken men ogle her heaving bosom. I can see this being a great old fashioned joint. Well, unfortunately as soon as you step inside the place there is nothing Cheers like about it. The place is dark with it's heavy wooden walls. There's a weird vibe to everything that is just telling you that it's just not right to be there. We waited in the "pizza line" to order before having to go to the "drink line" to order. WTF? It doesn't make sense. All of the workers there looked either pissed off or like they work in a steel mill. A disgruntled burly dude took mine and my husband's order at the drink line. My husband ordered a Corona and a rootbeer. The burly dude asks, "Who's the Corona for?" Um...we both look young but we're both past 30. He made it seem as if we couldn't have it at all. It was just weird. After sitting for a while we got our pizza and it was swimming in grease. It looked gross. We actually used a bunch of napkins to sop up the grease before eating it. The taste of the pizza was funny and odd tasting. I couldn't quite put my finger on it. The sauce seemed way to tangy and the crust was stale tasting. Even when we put hot sauce on it it wasn't even spicy. It's almost as if they watered it down. The quality of the ingredients is below average. I could only eat a few slices it was so unappetizing. The pizza left a very unpleasant aftertaste in my mouth that seems to have stayed even into the next day, despite several bushings, mouthwash rinsing, and gum. I can't get the funky taste and grease feeling out. The pizza is like carni pizza or something that carnival weirdos would sell. We had a bit of pizza left and decided to take it home. OK, BIG MISTAKE! If you do not like this pizza then DO NOT take it home to give it another go later. It smelled up our car, our house, and our fridge. Just leave it at the place if you can't finish it. Trust me, it's that bad. It's a cross between rancid ass, grease, and chemicals. We will never ever go back to Barnaby's. If you're an obese suburban weirdo who loves this stuff then go for it! If you have respect for yourself then go somewhere else.

This is our favorite thin-crust pizza by far. It has come to the point where we can't drive by because my husband practically leaps at the car window like a rabid dog and starts to beg.... so we just DON'T drive down Caldwell unless I know we're going to end up going to Barnaby's. So good... so few places that can have such good food and still be chill enough that you can just order a few pitchers and enjoy.... I love this stuff.

Great thin crust pizza. When my son visits from out of town, this is one of his first requests. We all love the pizza "extra crispy" for a little extra crunch. Good value, family friendly (lots of kids) with a pub atmosphere. Rest of food ok, but go for the pizza. Among the best thin crust in the Chicagoland area.

I remember going to Barnaby's as a kid at the old Touhy location. In 30 years it's pretty much as I remember. The gritty undercrust and wooden booths remain. The thin crust pizza is one of the best you'll ever eat and nostalgic for me. Where this place looses points with me is on the service. The staff couldn't be more unfriendly. The woman taking my order never greeted me or even looked up at me once, the bartender was actually somewhat intimidating. There are no free or reduced price refills for soft drinks. It really bugs me when a place charges almost two bucks for a small drink and then charges for refills. I would only order carry out in the future from this place because in addition to overcharging for drinks, you have to order and pick up your food at the counter, which has always been the way, but I guess as I get older, I prefer some sort of customer service.

I absolutely adore pizza and I have to say that Barnaby's is definitely my favourite place to get one from. My family has been going to Barnaby's since I was about 8 years old, but it was the Rogers Park location. I remember the cooks would hand out raw pizza dough to any kids who asked; it was a great family environment (at least from what I remember in my memories). This location is a bit different. The environment is a lot rowdier and the pizza tastes just a tad less as good, but overall it's still my favourite place to get a pizza. The crust is really the best part, in my opinion, but that combined with the cheese and sauce makes it perfect. I'm salivating just thinking about it, haha. The only problem I have with the place is the long wait. On Fridays and Saturdays the place is packed and the wait time for your food is about an hour. It is worth it though. Their other food is quite good as well. My boyfriend typically gets the Italian beef and enjoys it, which says a lot considering he is very picky. All in all it's a groovy place. A little loud if you're eating there on a Friday night, but if you're going there for the pizza, it's soooo worth it.

I will always have a soft spot for this pizza joint. Grew up coming here with the family, and I'll be damned if they don't have surprisingly good pizza as well. The extra star is really for the ambiance, as I like me some dark cave-like atmosphere. It's a good place to bring the family, as the youngsters can watch the pizza guys do their thing through the window (I used to think that was the coolest job ever). You get your pizzas from one window and the pitchers of beer from another (selection is pretty much miller/bud heavy). What is it about the cornmeal on the bottom of the pizza that is so damn compelling?

Barnabys is the best pizza. I've been coming here as far back as I can remember. Thin crust sausage with corn meal on the bottom. Yum, yum, yum!!!!!!!!

I had to knock down my star rating. The last couple of times I have had the pizza it is not the same. I think the crust has changed. It used to be a nice buttery crunchy taste, but lately it has been just an average crust. Barnaby's! Please go back to how you were making the crust in the past.

I have never driven this far for pizza in my life. And I probably never will again, but, in all honesty, they serve up a pretty decent slice of 'za. The night started off innocently enough: plans for goofy golf and afterward pizza. Well the rain nixed the goofy golf idea, but apparently pizza was still on the menu. This evening was planned by the same friend that found Szala's, so I should have known what lay in store. Suffice it to say, a 30 minute drive for pizza seemed excessive -- though I was impressed when we actually managed to pass gasoline for sale for under $3 per gallon ... Anyway, the food itself was good. The crust is crisp and the sauce is a good blend of spicy, not-too-sweet, though it could have used more salt in the sauce. They under-cheese the pizza a bit for my taste, but their sausage and pepperoni is good. Not to mention that they sell a six-glass pitcher of beer for $9. Overall, this place has good food, very good prices, but is too far away for me to ever justify driving there again. If you live in Niles or like 7000 N. x 6000 W. give it a try.

Most of my pizza lover friends always recommend this place whenever we talk about pizza for Sunday football games. I finally decided to go there with a friend who like pizza but never had Barnaby before. We came out of this place disappointed since it's not what we expected in a pizza. I guess we just do not like eating crunchy/dry crush pizza. I like my pizza soft not crunchy. People here are very friendly. Probably the only reason I do not mind coming back here with friends who love this place.

Barnaby's never disappoints. We visit at least twice a month...delicious this crust pizza ...very crunchy,,,yum...I think they use corn meal on the bottom.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

(5)Debbie S.
Excellent pizza. The Monday BOGO special is great. We order them par-baked and freeze them.
(5)Lisa A.
(4)Natalie S.
I've accepted the disorganized and inconsistent service in exchange for BOGO pizzas on Monday nights. I can't help myself.
(3)Vince V.
I have been going to this location since I had moved back to Chicago and have visited other locations as well, I have to give Barnaby's in niles the trophy. Great pizza, great service, keep it up guys!
(5)Dan S.

(5)Nicole P.
(5)Richard M.
good pizza, love this place. cozy atmosphere. great pizza for when you want something to snack on. extra thin and crispy...... yummy
(4)Aesha W.
(4)Ash A.
Awesome pizza with a super-friendly staff.
(5)Jaime J.
walked into a empty restaurant...i should of known!! the guy who was working there was nice but the food was just horrible.. the fried mushrooms had no taste and the pizza was way to oily for me i dont think i will be ever going back there again.
(1)Nicholas C.
(4)King K.
Took the family here.. its a dark wooded reteraunt with no staff.. Not a big deal except we had to clear off our table after our meal. Pizza is great...tasty and deliciou sthin crust. they also had $8 Pitchers of Point Beer. We will be coming back
(4)Jennie S.
(4)Thomas C.

Sweet!
(3)Richard S.
Great pizza place!

(2)Lauren G.
(5)B E.
(4)john s.
Feel the same way as Bonkzilla. My first time the other night will be my last. Very weird with having lines! We came early but what happens when it's crowded? Are there people lined up all over the place? The pizza wasn't even good. It tasted like a red baron frozen pizza!
(1)Tharie K.
3 words to describe it....YUM YUM YUM!!! My favorite place on earth! Pizza doesn't get much better than this! And they only have one rule...No Running!
(5)a w.
Great restaurant where you can take the entire family. They have some really delicious pizza here that everybody seems to love. And the atmosphere here is really casual and relaxed, which makes it a fun place to bring the kids to.
(4)Mark B.
The best thin crust pizza, no question. This is a matter of fact, not opinion. Lou Malnatis? Apples to oranges. If you still think Lou's has the best deep dish, clearly you haven't tried Pequod's.
(5)Amanda A.
I have always been a thick crust, deep dish pizza kind of girl - but this is enough to change anyone's mind. This hole in the wall family pizza joint dusts its crust with cornmeal and it makes all the difference. There is also one in northbrook on skokie highway.
(4)Martha Z.
(4)Anna R.
(2)Mary C.
(3)Nicole C.

(2)Nicole B.
This is my husband's favorite pizza. For decades this restaurant has served delicious thin crust pizza. We even had a low key rehearsal dinner here before our wedding! Thanks for making delicious pizza our toddler enjoys as well!
(4)Nereyda G.
(3)Randall K.
(4)Kate G.
(4)Veronica A.
best pizza ever love their customer service Larry is amazing
(5)Matthew T.
This is a great family restaurant and kid friendly. The pizza is pretty darn good and I love the 70s/80s atmosphere. Also a great place to catch a sports game as there are many TVs.
(4)Fred S.
Thin. Good atmosphere. Great root beer. Pepperoni son-on-law favorite. Hawaiian Son's favorite. Sausage daughters favorite. Hard to go wrong.
(5)David K.
(1)Kurt T.
Delicious thin crust perfection! Been coming here for over 35 years. always great! The pepperoni and cheese thin is as good as it gets.
(5)Doug R.
Never been a huge fan of this place. Pizza has always been sub par and the atmosphere was always noisy with screaming kids. Haven't been here for a few years so maybe its changed.
(2)David F.
(5)Mike L.
Rivals Barnacles sista off Wolf Rd and at times has slightly better pizza, but is still part of the Barnaby's family pizza, draft beers, and atmosphere and is still highly recommended.
(5)Cristi B.
Worst place in the town to eat. Grazzianos is much better. Owner (Peter) is extremely rude and unprofessional. I will never go there again in my life.
(1)Sethu M.
(5)Jennifer P.
Love this place. Simple pizza with cornmeal crust... SO delicious. Don't expect the service of a lifetime.... Just go for good solid basic pizza!
(4)Grace G.
(5)Michael B.
Bad: Dirty old and unfriendly. Good: pizza is excellent - cooked in a genuine 1950's pizza oven
(2)Aleksandar S.
Can't find better thin crust pizza. Great appetizers. The sauce has a different taste (In a good way). Be sure to check it out.
(4)Alethea B.
If you're craving thin crust pizza, this is the place to go. The braided crust is delicious and it has the perfect amount of cheese. I wouldn't get thin crust from anywhere else.
(5)Bridg G.
(1)Nicole S.
(3)Rhonda G.
(4)Susan M.
Update -- no cc at bar area (and the bartender looks like he would beat you up if you asked to charge anything anyway) cc taken at food counter only
(4)Caeleigh R.
(3)Michelle K.

(4)Kenny G.

(1)Scott M.
Cool, older place. Great pizza and pitchers of beer. Never really seen it super busy, but it can get somewhat crowded with sports teams after games. Their pizza is really tasty, and the crust is pretty unique. Always reminds me of jumbo pretzel.
(4)Jason H.

(5)Jay K.
If you like excellent thin crust pizza then come here or go to the other Barnaby's in Northbrook. Walk in, order your pizza or sandwich, get a pitcher of beer and find a seat and wait for your name or number to be called. It's worth it...trust me!
(5)Susan C.
(3)Surya N.

(4)Edward W.
(4)George K.

(5)Richard O.

(5)Yuly M.
Pizza is nowhere near what I expected and the wings i could've went to the grocery store and bought frozen ones that would've tasted better, and no free pop refills? Really? Would not come back...
(1)Tara M.
(4)Jenny S.
(5)Helmut S.
(5)Pyke D.

(1)Laurie H.
The pizza is really good. Prices are fair. I always enjoy family-run businesses, and this family is quite friendly.
(4)Jessica O.
(5)Darlene R.
(4)Scott L.
(2)Vanessa C.

Bacon thin crust.
(5)Steve R.
(4)Nelson A.
Barnabys is the best pizza. I've been coming here as far back as I can remember. Thin crust sausage with corn meal on the bottom. Yum, yum, yum!!!!!!!!
(5)Tom Z.
I had to knock down my star rating. The last couple of times I have had the pizza it is not the same. I think the crust has changed. It used to be a nice buttery crunchy taste, but lately it has been just an average crust. Barnaby's! Please go back to how you were making the crust in the past.
(3)Justin B.
(4)Thuc N.
(2)Edwina E.
Barnaby's never disappoints. We visit at least twice a month...delicious this crust pizza ...very crunchy,,,yum...I think they use corn meal on the bottom.
