Great place to stop for a treat on a sunny day in downtown Naperville! I walked in today with a large group of kids and adults. It was mid afternoon so it was not crowded. The inside seating area, frozen yogurt machines, and toppings were clean and well organized. They had cute little sampling cups for the kids to test the flavor before we filled the bowls. Adults can feel free to sample too! ;) Everyone in our group grabbed a large bowl with their frozen yogurt and toppings. The staff was very efficient and were able to weigh and collect the money very quickly. The staff seemed friendly and happy to have our group there. They had a decent size seating area. You could go with a group and sit down or grab your treat and head out. My advice- don't overflow the cups with yogurt or toppings. All the yogurt is weighed before you get the final price. Overall- great visit to Red Mango I'm sure I will stop in again soon!

YES; this place is delicious! I miss it. I think this summer I might go back to indulge

My first smoothie excellent p &j cup. Very nice and a great way to finish a great lunch

They recently changed this place over from full service to self-serve. I can't decide if I like it. For one, it's great because you get to choose exactly how much you want, what you want, and all that jazz. But then I SWEAR the prices are higher because it's a weighed amount. Which means you want to put fewer heavy toppings on there (hello gummy bear offenders!) to make the price lower. They give sample cups as many as you desire when you walk in, so that's great. They also feature a Greek yogurt flavor or two to really get more bang for your buck since that one is the same price as the regular yogurt flavors. I've tried most, but I keep going back to the original. Delicious and a fun treat we like to take our 2yo out to every once in awhile... but not often or we'd break the bank!

I live very close to this location and refuse to go here. The staff is not that nice or friendly here. The flavor selection is terrible. They had 3 empty spots on the selection list. I would rather take my business to forever yogurt or yogurt delight. If you were smart like me you would take your business elsewhere too. It's unacceptable service and selection for the ridiculous prices you pay for fro yo.

Yogurt was okay-not great. The vanilla had a weird taste but was edible. Customer service was poor. I came in 45 mins before close and they were out of many toppings and would not get more out. It was also said with attitude. I understand if I came in 15 mins before closing, but on a weekend night in Downtown Naperville you need to be prepared for a later crowd. There are plenty of other places nearby, this one will never get my business again. Hopefully the young associates working there receive some training on acting more professionally.

Ughh the manager needs to have a nice talk with their employees. They're snotty and seem to be bothered by having customers. The amount of toppings available was disappointing. First and last time stopping at this location.

  • Allison A.

Meh, I personally don't really get the obsession with fro yo. It's place is okay. They changed to self serve, which I liked. It is now 49 cents an ounce. The employee did a great job of making sure everything was clean. My only issue was the employees who kept walking back and forth from the back to fill up their own cups with fruit and toppings. Nice way to rub it in that I have to pay and you don't....

Why in the hell can't places update their websites to give correct information on the establishment? ???? Website said they close at 10 and got there at 9:15 and the door said closed at 9. I will not go to Red Mango again anyplace since they could care less about customers.

Disappointed! -when my original yogurt looked more like lemon ice than yogurt. It even had an icy flavor/texture. When I approached a worker, she said it's just the machine- it's still yogurt. Discontinued ghiradelli dark chocolate chips too. Ate my toppings and left.

I love Red Mango and all of it's awesome froyo selections. This specific location in Naperville makes me feel kinda creepy because it's always completely littered with pre-teen girls. Like, I'm too old and grizzled to hang. Plus the people who work here don't hook you up with as much toppings as other locations. It makes you feel a little cheated. I won't stop going, though....NOT NEVER!

    (3)
  • Stassi R.

This is no yogurt land. Toppings are plentiful but the yogurt is bland and there are much fewer choices. The place is cute and clean.

  • Jenny V.

i dont really like this red mango location. even though its in a great spot right by the riverwalk. unlike other red mango locations this one isn't self serve, you tell the workers what flavor you want and what toppings you want. the price isnt based off of how heavy your cup of froyo is. also. if you're a student, you can show them your student ID and they'll give you a discount. i wish my friend told me this BEFORE i paid.

Well, after a couple of years we gave Red Mango another shot. They have upped their game again, now offering half a dozen or so flavors including White Peach, Sweet Melon, Blueberry, Key Lime, Vanilla and more (still never brought back my green tea, though...!) I tasted the peach (which was really bursting with peachy flavor) but opted for the Sweet Melon, which did get a little sweet over time, but was still very tasty. The gentleman had ordered vanilla but somehow ended up with Key Lime, which he realized partway through. The place was busy and the kids were cranking them out so maybe that was how the error occurred...still, bummer. There are a wide range of toppings, the standard fruits and nuts, plus graham cracker and oreo crumbs, and even several flavors of boba to put on now. I like my yoghurt a little more sour, but it was refreshing to try something so flavorful. There are several other new froyo places in town that I may try to compare this summer, but I'm glad that Red Mango has expanded their flavors (dare I say "branched out"?) It will make me more likely to return.

  • Bryan N.

They still offer the slightly sour Fro-Yo my fiancee and I like, but they seem to have given in to the trend of stocking sweeter, soft serve style yogurts too. Lots of toppings to choose from, seating is usually not a problem until the weather gets nice. Then it's a High School hangout. Luckily you're near plenty of outdoor seating areas, so who cares?

This was the very first Red Mango I EVER visited and I have been a fan ever since. The wife and I went to Naperville quite often back in the day. I am not sure why we went out there so much because it was at least a 40 minute drive from our home in Chicago....LOL. I loved the place though and one night while visiting we found this gem of a spot in downtown Naperville. It is really small....quaint and on the night we visited it was extremely packed. There was a classic car show display going on that night as well so it was perfect. Get some delicious Froyo....go for a nice walk under the stars and enjoy the roar of classic cars driving down Jackson Ave. Like I said before RED MANGO has some of the best Froyo on Earth and this location is no different....go and get it people. Eat, Drink, and be Merry my Friends!!!!

Stay away... they never have anything you ask for... out of iced teas... out of iced coffees.... no whip cream.... poorly maintained and zero customer service skills by employees .... I live a block away and I will Never come here again.

  • Katie L.

I really wanted to love this place, but I guess I've just been spoiled by other froyo joints in the area. I wish there were more froyo flavor options. They only had 4 or 5, compared to the 10-15 flavors other places offer. The toppings were good and fresh, however. I've had a smoothie and this was better for me than the froyo. I was also disappointed with the store layout- the order counter is right when you walk in, which rushes you to pick something to get if you're the first in line.

  • Dennis P.

Expensive and small portions. Save your money for something else. Spent $10 on 2 med with one topping each. Very small portion. Both cups had a very small amount of yogurt and not worth it. Keep walking past next time in downtown Naperville. Good and healthy does not have to be overpriced.

So this is part of the current frozen yogurt rage? Well, it's not all that exciting after all. We stopped in here for a post-River Walk snack and it was conveniently located across the street from where the River Walk goes by. Now you'd think there's some really magical tasting frozen yogurt to try? Well, took a few tries. First I tried the pumpkin spice seasonal flavor at the moment. After one taste sample, I concluded that it doesn't taste like pumpkin nor is it spicy in any way. Then I tried their mango, after all it is in their name and you'd think it's their flagship product. It was OK but it did not jump out at me as something remarkable. The flavor was very mild and after a while indistinguishable. Maybe it's because I didn't pick any toppings of fruit to add, but my argument for a place like this or a ColdStone Ice Cream for that matter is the same: The ice cream needs to stand on its own. I wish I had tried the blueberry since another customer told me that's their best, but I wonder if it would be too mild like the ones I tried. Would I come back and try another yogurt here? Maybe, but with toppings to cover up their limitations to stand up to the Naked FroYo Test.

1st time Red Mango visitor, 2nd time yogurt connoisseur... My sister and I visited Red Mango for the first time last night. It was hot and muggy outside so it seems that everyone flocked in for a nice cool fro-yo. We were greeted at the door and asked if this was our first visit... it was so we were given a few tester cups and off we went. Between my sis and I, we tried a taste of almost everything available. The ones I remember are: * The Original was tangy and tastes like plain yogurt, not my style and not very good * Chocolate Gelato was a bit grainy and not very good * Vanilla Bean was very good; strong vanilla flavor and very clean taste * Peanut Butter was my favorite; I LOVE PB and this was exceptional... It was a WOW moment for me! * Mint Chocolate was sooooo minty not great for me, but my sis loved it. I think if you are a fan of mint chocolate chip ice cream and girl scout mint cookies then you will really like this flavor. * Raspberry Gelato was delicious, fresh tasting and refreshing. I would def recommend this flavor * Chocolate, ehh it's not as good as chocolate ice cream so why disappoint yourself There were many toppings available as well which was impressive. They have everything from Oreos, heath or kit kat pieces, cookie dough, and reeses pieces to fresh fruit and cereal. I liked the variety and had a tough time making final selections. I had a cup of Peanut Butter and Vanilla Bean topped with Oreo, heath, and reeses. It was very good but don't fool yourselves, it's not Cold Stone. It is a light and refreshing summer treat and is not too bad for your waistline either. Fro-yo is a bit costly however, two less than full cups was over $10. I look forward to visiting Red Mango again soon.

Red Mango is definitely tasty! The frozen yogurt is always tasty and they have a few different flavors to choose every day. The problem is, it is pretty pricey for what you get. The cups are never anywhere near full and for what you pay they should be. Employees are usually friendly, but pretty young and get overwhelmed pretty often (Red Mango gets pretty busy). The shop itself is tiny, so takeout is definitely the way to go. Being in downtown Naperville though is a nice plus as you can grab it and go walk on the riverfront.

Gonna have to knock off a few stars since they changed the format of the store. The redesign now includes a help yourself yogurt and topping bar. I've been there on two occasions - once when the store was very empty: the self serve was simple to use with no one else crowding it and the toppings looked fresh. On the other occasion, it was jam packed - the self-serve area was crowded and waiting to be rung up took unusually long as they've gone from 2 registers to only ONE register. Someone had a problem and therefore slowed the entire line. The topping bar was a disaster - many things were out & spilled all over the place. The old set up, even on a crowded night, seemed to flow much better. Also, the yogurt is NOT the same - seems to be much more runny and weaker flavor than in the past.

  • Nataliya A.

Not phenomenal but it'll do. There are only 4 flavors of frozen yogurt to choose from and by the looks of it they change every day, which is a cool concept. The flavor of the season is pumpkin spice, which I sampled and did not like. In my opinion it did not taste like pumpkin, just like there was a lot of sugar and maybe spice. I settled on the dulce de leche, which is usually my favorite go to flavor. There was a large enough of a variety of topings, and some I have never seen before. They have these bubble things, filled with bursts of mango or strawberry. I sampled the mango and did not like it because it tasted very much like artificially flavored juice, but the strawberry ones I liked. The mochi, which I always love, was not the best I've ever tasted, didn't seem as chewy as I like. Overall the experience was tasty, but not amazing.

  • Justin L.

A better than average froyo joint with a few twists. I stop by here from time to time, and I think we're all familiar with the froyo concept at this point. The things that are noteworthy... the strawberry pearls. These things look a little strange, a bit like orange-ish tapioca balls, but there are like... juice filled pearls. Something a bit different from other places I've tried. I'm also fond of throwing fruit pebbles on my froyo. I was surprised as well, but it just works!

Omnomnomnom. Can I tell you how absolutely and utterly obsessed with this place I am? The sweet, tart, fat-free (!!!) frozen yogurt is perfect for a summer night on the Riverwalk. I've even come here in the winter to get my fix. This was the perfect place for me after I got my wisdom teeth out, and the coldness of the froyo helped with the pain. Anyway, I usually stick to the original. Something about it just makes me keep coming back for more and more. I think they secretly put crack in their yogurt. It makes sooo much more sense. Sometimes I'll be daring and swirl with with Madagascar Vanilla or the POM Pomegranate flavor. Last time, I stepped out of my box and got the Key Lime Pie. I know, totally unexpected. But AWESOME! All the flavors are absolutely delicious. You can't go wrong! The toppings are amazing as well. I usually get an assortment of the fresh fruits, the chocolate chips and mochi. If you haven't had mochi, do yourself a favor and get some now! The chewy rice squares are perfect with the yogurt. The price is a bit high, but it's better than eating ice cream. For a bi-weekly treat, it's not bad. The lines will be out the door, especially in the summer. I wish this one was a self-serve too, where you can try different flavors, put whatever toppings you want, and just pay by the ounce. Though, it's probably better for my waistline if it's not....

  • Steve R.

Love this place when I get the occasional sweet tooth. They offer several flavors of frozen yogurt with one usually being a seasonal flavor. They offer many fresh fruit toppings that are a must. I usually get 4 toppings, and everything so far has been super tasty. The amount of yogurt, and toppings you receive can vary from server to server, but it's always worth it if you want a somewhat healthy guilt free sweet tooth treat.

  • Alison V.

Great FroYo! The people behind the counter are usually nice too. They rotate flavors and my favorite is the Pomegranate. They use premium POM Wonderful juice in the mix, and if you get it in winter when pomegranates are in season, they have pomegranate seeds as a topping choice. Otherwise, blueberries and strawberries are a great topping for the pomegranate as well. The only reason they don't get a 5-star review is because when you get just yogurt (without toppings), they don't fill the cup and you may feel cheated. I hate to bring Pinkberry into the conversation (because I think RM is better, and also they don't have any PB locations in Illinois), but at least PB will fill the cup nicely.

I treated myself to a healthy berry parfait which only tallied up 280 calories. I had the original frozen yo, and it was really good! The granola was similar to bird seed in it's appearance, but tasted pretty good. The fruit was essentially fresh off the farm, numm-tastic! My only complaint- the chairs inside are so uncomfortable and flimsy! Thank goodness for the beautiful Naperville Riverwalk (with plenty of benches) right across the street. =)

These guys have had the space since late November 2007, I read recently that they're opening April 21 ( leisureblogs.chicagotrib… ). Update June 2008 - added one star I really enjoy the original and the fresh fruit toppings. I'm a regular. The very young guys and gals, though very adorable and super personable, spend a lot of time in a group versus spreading out a wee bit more throughout the store and with customers. It would be a plus if Red Mango could add litchee (lychee) to the toppings menu.

    (3)
  • Jelena Z.

Red Mango is everywhere, apparently. Stopped by to satiate my sweet tooth following the Lung Cancer Walk in the Riverwalk. I saw the store across the street and it was calling my name... "here, Jelena! Come and get me!". The taunting voice even pronounced my name correctly, so of COURSE I had to go. I tried the seasonal Pumpkin Spice flavor, but sans the graham cracker topping (do not like). I do have a crush on all things pumpkin, but I still prefer my ol' plain standby topped with fresh strawberries and Fruity Pebbles. Other glorious toppings include mochi, Ghirardelli chips, blueberries, raspberries and mango. All super fresh! Sure it's expensive, but that's why it's called a 'treat', yo.

  • Aimee M.

I've been on a frozen yogurt kick lately. Maybe because we got a taste of spring/summer weather lately and of course that means cool treat. There are always at least 3-4 flavors you can choose from and the day I visited they had the original, pomegranate, tangomonium and Madagascar vanilla. After you choose your yogurt there are several toppings to choose from--fruit, nuts, cereal, chocolate chips and my stand by--mochi. I chose Vanilla, topped with mango and mochi. The frozen yogurt was smooth and had a good vanilla flavor but I found it had a bit of a funny aftertaste. The mango and mochi were fresh, but my friend got vanilla with fresh raspberries and mini chocolate chips. Suddenly I was having an attack of yogurt envy--why didn't I think of that combination? That's the best thing about this frozen yogurt/topping concept-- the combinations are endless! I really want to give RM a 3 star review, but this location gets 4 stars because it's by the Naperville riverwalk. So you can get your yogurt and stroll or sit and enjoy the scenery on a sunny day.

  • Jennifer T.

Nice sweet treat for yourself and it's healthy too. It feels light and not too heavy on the stomach so this yogurt makes the perfect cap off to a lunch of dinner. I like to get the Graham Cracker topping along with a fruit (mango, or strawberries) on Original flavored yogurt. I've tried the white yogurt chips topping before but personally it's a bit too sweet for me. I prefer a balance of fruit and some kind of light sugar as not to overthrow the taste of the yogurt itself. A Small cup is good enough for a little indulgence. If you are sharing with a friend or just can't get enough of this stuff, go for a Medium or larger. This place is definitely a treat especially on a hot, humid, summer day.

  • Tessa G.

If you come here any time during the week from 11-4 you will get great customer service and likely a very eased environment. I can't say this rings true for summer when all the little drool-bots are out of school, but for the past three months, it has been consistent. Joyce is always there when I go in with one of my fabulous friends and she's really sweet and always makes sure your money goes a long way when it comes to toppings, which is a huge plus. Kind of a bummer when you're a the bottom of your yogurt and your goodies were all gone within the first half. I like a generous mix in, typically because it is a pricey little treat. However, the health factor and the taste make up for that. She is always chatting with us, because we are rather hard to avoid, and makes the whole process enjoyable. I have one of those club mango cards, which includes these benefits: Get a $5 coupon for every 500 Mango Points you earn Earn 50 Mango Points just for signing up Earn 10 Mango Points for every dollar spent at Red Mango Receive a $5 Reward on your birthday If you go here often enough, it is worth it. They just got another machine so now they have a wide variety of flavors on hand at all times, instead of the usual four they had at a time before. I'd say this is one of the best parts of downtown Naperville, but that is just because I frequent the place. Again, I go in the off season, it does tend to get out of hand in the summertime...boo. Anywho--GO HERE.

The best place to treat yourself and not feel bad after. Excellent flavors and fresh fruit toppings. My favorite dessert. Interesting thing I've found is that mostly women love this place; not so much men!? My recommended concoction: pomegranate or orchard peach (if they don't have then do original, pumpkin spice is also nice) and add slivered almonds, coconut and some fresh mango or strawberries. Enjoy!

  • Candice G.

OMG! SO GOOD. OMG! SO EXPENSIVE! Hands down, the most refreshing food in Naperville... next to sangria. The Green Tea and Original flavors are both delicious and the toppings are sooo very fresh and beautiful. It's more than a bit costly, especially for the sizes and then considering the size ratio of what you get vs. what you could prob take down. The service is also EXTREMELY slow. It's not the employee's fault, there's only 1 machine for each flavor so yes, there will most likely be a line out of the door and no where to sit inside... no worries on that though, there's plenty of cute places to park yourself to eat in scenic downtown Naperville... IF you can stave yourself from immediately swallowing your entire Red Mango treat.

  • Katie H.

Terrible. Terrible service and terrible quality for what you pay. I ordered the Madagascar vanilla and somehow got a lemon tasting yogurt. The toppings are nothing special either. A small with 2 toppings cost almost $5 which is just not worth it. I will never go back.

On hot days such as these, I feign ignorance to well balanced meals and focus on the one thing that always hits the spot. Hold the phone, froyo IS well balanced. Just as long as it's not truckloads being spoon fed to my mouth then I'll believe it's good! I take large pity on the poor girl that got stuck with a line that would have gone out of the door but because of the heat, everyone crammed inside to stay cool under the AC. So was this a mid-day snack or lunch? I'm leaning towards lunch but everyone was ordering like it was smoothie time. Urgh, smoothies at Red Mango? The shame. I just can't fall into the smoothie craze. Don't get me wrong, having everything tossed into a blender and mixed all into one giant concoction for stomach consumption is tempting but for now, I'm sticking to my little cup and sweet toppings. Like other Red Mangos, there's a whole lot of choosing going on. With the onset of Fall a new pumpkin flavor is on tap but the heat reels me into ordering the original flavor. Give me another few weeks and then I'll go back and venture into the pumpkin for a slice of heaven but it still feels like summer. The seating area is pretty large and filled with plastic seats and formica like tables, perfect for a dine in, and of course dine out and sit across the street along the Riverwalk which is exactly what I proceeded to do and then also proceeded to get hit on by a random man that was pushing his kid like he was a chick magnet. I didn't even hear a word he said because I was savoring the froyo, strawberries and the always appetizing mochi. Silly silly man, food trumped you this time around!

  • Amber S.

So even on a hot day, with a line out the door, and they ran out of a flavor, my hubby and I were super impressed. The line moved very quickly, and I personally like to see what other people were ordering. This stuff is so good, we've been back several times. The pom flavor and vanilla flavor are out of this world. The toppings selection was superb. The seating area was clean and comfortable. Cannot wait to try other flavors.

LOVE their new format -- no ridiculously crazy lines AND ... I can get two nice sized frozen yogurts with toppings for UNDER $6.00!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU Red Mango for making incredibly positive changes!!!!!

  • Kathy S.

Since I was already in the area for Naperville Ribfest, we stopped by Red Mango afterwards for a cold treat and it did not disappoint. First of all, I'm already a fan of yogurt...and I'm talking about real yogurt, not the overly sugared kind that masquerades as healthy so Red Mango got a thumbs up from me in that department. Also, they use real fruit and not any "fruit topping" (think of movie theaters saying "butter topping" instead of butter). I got the strawberry, mango and mochi with the original frozen yogurt and it was delicious! The mango really went well with the yogurt and I think next time I'll skip the mochi because although I like mochi, I didn't like it in this particular combination. Strawberry was good too but you definitely have to get the mango! I also got to try some of the green tea and did not like it nearly as much as the original. Now my only problem is not having a Red Mango close to me. I'll be frequenting the Evanston location quite often when my frozen yogurt craving hits.

    (5)
  • Mike K.

It's. Finally. Open. Don't be fooled by the [x]-berry knock offs. Red Mango is the real deal. This is the only "frozen yogurt" franchise that can officially call their product "yogurt" by definition. But meh - forget about all that. All you need to know is that the yogurt here tastes awesome. It's not as tart at the other frozen yogurt places and it's just one hell of a smooth tasting snack. More Red Mango on the way to Evanston which will help me out since driving all the way out to Naperville for the yogurt goodness is a bit outrageous (although not too outrageous as I just did it). Remember: Original + Strawberries + Bananas = The Win! Go go go!

    (4)
  • Emily M.

Red Mango, oh how I love you. You provide me with healthy fruit filled frozen yogurt as several self serve frozen yogurt places pop up.. you know, the ones with a bajillion flavors and "fat ass" toppings as I like to call them (that's not a comment on people that consume those toppings because I love them and also eat them frequently). I might be in the minority, but I like Red Mango because you're limited in your toppings. Well I think they serve cookie dough? and some other things, but the fresh (super fresh!) fruit is where it's at. So Red Mango of Naperville, thank you for preventing me from getting scurvy & selling me your delicious froyo piled with every berry I can think of.

  • Tim D.

Wanted to check this place out, people said great things about Red Mango. Wonder if they were drunk cause it was not all that great. Portion sizes for what you pay is not a good value, they said that the flavor I had tried was sweet, it was sour as all hell and just not good. The wait staff is worse than a naperville mom driving a mini van on her cell phone. Stay away, better values in downtown Naperville

    (1)
  • Nicole K.

Red Mango is the krem de la krem of frozen yoghurt. I love their toppings and I have yet to experience frozen and tasteless fruit toppings (they are ALWAYS fresh or at least taste like they are!). Their original and rasberry yoghurts (when in season) are my favorite. Not to mention, this is the perfect summer location: picture walking along the Naperville Riverwalk while indulging in this healthy but sinfully delicious treat *sigh*. For those who complain about the price...go to Baskin Robbins for a subpar $2 scoop.

  • Melissa H.

Clean facilities, nice decor, and friendly and helpful staff. The pomegranate froyo was really flavorful and soft. I didn't get any toppings, but I really love that the fruit toppings are fresh (I saw!) and they have really fun sugary stuff (Cap'n Crunch, anyone?) The prices are fair and the helpings are much larger than I am used to. Overall, a great place to meet up some friends. There's also a parking lot nearby and the riverwalk is right across the street. Sweet!

  • Ingrid B.

The yogurt is wonderful and the majority of the staff is quite friendly. That being said, there is a serious issue with management. The establishment is chronically understaffed in what looks like an attempt to save a buck. Additionally, the place will nickle and dime you to death. I am willing to pay for a great product and service, but Red Mango's policies are rigid and clearly not customer-oriented.

    (2)
  • Cathy H.

I am a lover of yogurt, and here's how I break it down: Pinkberry is better than Red Mango Red Mango is better than Berry Chill Berry Chill is better than Yogen-Fruz Yogen-Fruz is the worst of all. So, you see, Red Mango does all right. It's definitely get the best you can get for hundreds of miles in any direction, and this location is decent. Plenty of street and lot parking nearby, nice seating area, staff as always been nice, and cheaper than in the city. A win!

  • Michael L.

Probably the best place to find good frozen yogurt in Naperville. It's nestled right along the riverwalk in the downtown area. If you're ever in California, I'd recommend Yogurtland, especially when lychee yogurt is in season. Still prefer the original flavor with godiva choc chips, strawberry, and mochi. Green Tea is okay. Haven't tried the other flavors yet. If you have a cell phone, there's sometimes a $1 off coupon code to get from a text. It's usually packed at night on the weekends. during the down times you can sit around with friends and play a table game or two.

Love that this place is located in downtown Naperville. Hate that they charge you an arm and a leg for frozen yogurt! I guess they have to since they only offer four flavors of frozen yogurt at any given time. However, they offer other treats such as smoothies, teas, and parfaits. I'll have to go back to try their smoothies, perhaps this maybe a better choice at Red Mango. I tried the Madagascar Vanilla yogurt was not impressed by the taste.

Delicious Yogurt . Great Service. Great Menu. Not too expensive. What else can you ask for? Red Mango is the bomb!

This place definitely converted my hubby and I into froyo lovers. He loves the strawberry shake flavor and I love the POM wonderful. Fresh strawberries, kiwis, raspberries, blackberries, etc. You can't get a more delish and nearly guilt-free dessert as this!

I am officially obsessed with Red Mango, Naperville. Best frozen yogurt. Ever. Delicious. Healthy. Great for those of us who are lactose intolerant. You can find me there ordering my usual: a medium original with raspberries, blackberries and mini chocolate chips. (mmm!) I love that their fruit is fresh, not frozen. The decor is clean and hip while still being comfortable and inviting. Red Mango Naperville's employees are helpful and friendly. Always a great experience and they definitely offer something for everyone.

This place is my new found love! A friend of mine told me about it a couple of months ago and I finally had the chance to go this month (well, I actually went twice) and it was so good. Normally, I don't do any sort of frozen yogurts or ice cream once the weather gets cold, but I can totally see myself eating a parfait in the dead of winter. The second time I went, I took my three year old daughter and she loved it too. Needless to say, I will definitely be going back!

Every time I'm in Naperville, I am compelled to go to Red Mango. It's not a want - it's a NEED. The Original with Raspberries is my old standby: the yogurt is creamy and tart (I know, shock, frozen yogurt that actually tastes like yogurt) and the raspberries are fresh, not frozen. I like this so much that I am unable to order anything else (although I always get a taste of the other flavors and am tempted to try something new). If you're in town, for God's sake, get yourself to Red Mango!

Get the vanilla with strawberry pearls! They burst into your mouth and you are like juicy juicy juicy! Great clean place. Comfy seating. Great place to have a light snack...esp when you just have pizza from down the street ;) If you are not a yogurt fan then just go there and get a dish of those juice filled pearls!!!

Great place!!! Love their frozen yogurts except mango..I didn't like that one too much. Either way, quality food and great service!! friendly staff :) love going here!!

I scream for ice cream. I need the red mango to satisfy my hunger. Nothing like a frozen treat on a summer night. Red Mango offers a healthy delicious frozen desert. Many selections and toppings to choose from. Very clean inside and the seating is very hip and cozy. Sofa style lounging with great fruit and ice cream. Extremely friendly staff fun place to go at night after dinner.

Okay, I'm going to go against the grain here and say I was a bit disappointed. On the health front, yeah--it's AWESOME. There's no denying that, but the taste...not so much. I love all things green tea, but two bites in and I was *ahem* not interested in having another bite. The original, regular fro-yo was okay, but nothing incredible. It's definitely not the sugary TCBY kinda deal--it's like *real* yogurt, so don't go expecting it to taste the same. Seeing how I'm not a huge TCBY kinda gal, I figured it was worth a try but it's definitely not on my list of "must go's".

I took my sister here because a) she lives in Milwaukee and is therefore deprived of 90-calorie desserts and b) our cousin works here and we like to torture/publicly humiliate her. I have to say, every visit to Red Mango has been a good experience and the Naperville location doesn't lose to NYC locations in quality or service (ie cute lil Asian girls like my cousin). Green tea froyo with mochi is the bestest ever. One thing to note: this is froyo, not ice cream. That means it will taste like yogurt, not ice cream, and you really need to be mentally prepared for that. My sis was not and she was horrified with her first bite but she did agree at the end that it was delicious. Also, keep in mind that 90 calories refers to one serving and even the smallest size is 1.2 servings. You don't need that much froyo, don't be a piggie.

If I could, I would give this place 3.5 stars... Anyways, I like this place when I am in my "healthy mood". It is very refreshing and has a really fresh taste to it. I usually get the plain yogurt--I think its just called plain?--with some kind of fruit topping. I would def recommend it if you are looking to cut your calories or just simply looking for a healthy alternative. BUT, this place never seems to hit the spot like Oberweis or Dairy Queen does. I guess I need a double scoop of cookie dough ice cream with fudge oozing out of the sides with a mound of whip cream to satisfy my stubborn sweet tooth... So on those days where I'm feelin' a little chubby and can't have Oberweise or DQ, I will most def hit up Red Mangos :) Try it!

Fat-free yogurt with giardelli dark chocolate and strawberries after hot thai food...Naperville's version of nirvana. It'll do.

  • Fifi B.

Good yogurt. Mostly nice and helpful staff. Hugely understaffed. Be prepared to wait. Also, the menu gives a price for one topping, and one price for two or more toppings; however, they charge you extra if you get 4 toppings. That's not right. I think the owner is more into making money than providing good service, which is evidenced by the so few people working at busy times and the fact that they charge more than the menu says. Not good business. It's too bad because the coconut yogurt is really, really good.

Let's start out by saying that I go to this place atleast 2-3 times a month..even if it is in the winter. Everything about this place is fantastic, from the employees to the decor. The flavors are phenomenal and the toppings are outrageous. There are so many to choose from but my usual fave is the original flavor with mango and mandarin oranges. The decor is pretty awsome as well. The seats are pretty comfy and there are even games to play with if you're with your friends such as connect-four and Jenga. Definitely a must try..a little pricy but definitely worth every lick of it

(Insert angelic choir) Red Mango is a little bit of bliss in downtown Naperville. They are always super-friendly and extremely overstaffed. I prefer the original flavor with almond slivers. I hope that they get plenty of business during the holidays. Perfect time to eat mango when the FroYo outside doesn't melt!

  • Maria S.

I'm bumping the 'mango up a star for the following combo: pomegranate yogurt + blackberries + mochi I hope they keep the pomegranate yogurt because it's reeeeallly good. The blackberries were a special treat. Perfectly plump and flavorful. MMM.

As a West Coaster, I definitely appreciate Red Mango's presence here in the 'burbs. Initially, I got a kick out of people walking in expecting 80's style sugary fro yogurt and making sour faces. As time passes, I noticed longer lines and a growing appreciation for this real version of fro yo. I definitely prefer this more in the summer or as a substitute for ultra-rich ice cream. It's funny though, I've noticed a little more sugary flavor to their yogurt lately. Hmm.. is it only in my head? or are they trying to make it more palatable out here. (I went back to LA recently and it was more tart, less sugar. The same deal with Pinkberry.) My favorite lately has been original with Ghirardelli chips, strawberries, and Graham crumbles. Another good pairing I found is fruit pebbles with strawberries and blueberries. If you bury the blueberries under the yogurt, it tastes extra good! mmm

  • Nari H.

It's still great. Two updates: Have had the mango flavored froyo and the green tea froyo. Mango is good to go! Really good with fruity pebbles and mochi or any fruit of your choice. Green Tea Froyo, I am not a fan. I've definitely had better. Personally, i still prefer the regular flavor with toppings. It can get expensive though. And since this is really the only good froyo place in the area, I'm going to keep coming back.

  • Annie W.

FINALLY. A taste of real froyo in the Midwest! I'm so excited that this stuff tastes what it's supposed to and what I'm used to in Cali. It's creamier than Pinkberry and loads better compared to those horrid knockoffs in Chi-town (ie Berry Chill, Starfruit). Just one bite in your mouth and the difference is overpowering. The location is cute and decor is just your standard Red Mango-like. Very clean and well maintained. I'm just curious how it will fare once winter comes!

  • Doreen E.

My first taste of Red Mango, and I was a little disappointed as the taste of their version of the latest tart froyo craze. IMHO, I still favor pinkberry (or crackberry as many have fondly referred). The fruit topping (mango specifically) was just overly ripe and more like mango jam over the top of my pristine plain froyo. It'll do in a pinch, but this place also needed to be cleaned a bit. There were 3-4 people working in the store, with barely any customers, and there was lots of spilled toppings on the floor.

  • Kelly M.

For reference, I have been to Berry Chill and Starfruit (Chicago) so far. This is as good if not better than Berry Chill. The girls behind the counter were helpful and offering samples of their smoothies. I tried the green tea flavor, which wasn't too overpowering. The fruit and the yogurt were delicious, and if in the 'burbs I'd go again! Theres even parking nearby. Only negative the atmosphere was a little too "chill." Maybe it'd be better when its busier.

After the annual Ribfest and a hot air balloon ride, we stopped by to check out Red Mango in Naperville downtown. I had heard its similar to Pinkberry out in the west coast. The yogurt is very yummy and you can add your own combination of fresh fruits and other toppings. I recommend the mochi (which isn't listed on their menu) along with any assortment of fruits. I love the chewy texture mixed with the yogurt. I personally thought the original flavor is better than the green tea yogurt. Either way it's an incredible light treat!

    (4)
  • A. T.

The flavor of the original froyo (sweet and tangy) is sinfully delicious. The fun part is adding your favorite toppings, be it fresh fruit (Mmmmm-Mango), chocolate chips or other. If you're in the Naperville area, you must stop here.

    (5)
  • Jason C.

Although creamy, not tart enough for my taste. I prefer Yogen Fruz. Still good though, especially topped with mochi.

  • Gia G.

I LOVE Red Mango! This place is the bomb... There's no other way to put it. I've tried all the flavors of yogurt and they are all good. However, I would walk 10 miles in the driving snow with an elephant on my back for the melon flavored yogurt with yogurt chips and strawberries. Their melon flavor literally tastes like sweet fresh-cut cantaloupe and I can't seem to get enough of it. They switch the "special" flavors (like melon, key lime, and black cherry) up pretty regularly, so if you find a favorite go often while they still have it. But you can always get original, vanilla, and pomegranate. The best part about this place is that you can have a delicious dessert pretty much guilt free. Can't beat that.

  • Michael C.

AMAZING! The green tea is nice, but go average for the plain version - toppings like yogurt chips and almond slices make it a dessert feast! I was a HUGE fan of Berry Chill here in the city, but this stuff is better by 1000%!!! So much creamier, but still with that "bite" of acidity. Chicago NEEDS this place!!!

  • Eve S.

I live in Chicago, but my fiancé's parents live near Naperville, so every time we are out to visit, I just have to have Red Mango. Chicago is great and all, but none of the three yogurt places in the city can hold a candle to Red Mango. RM's yogurt is soooo velvety and smooth, unlike those other chains' stuff which is frosty (as in contains crunchy ice crystals) and gross. My favorite Red Mango flavors are Green Tea and their current flavor, Pomegranate. Oh em gee, are they good! I like to get fresh fruit (and I mean, they seriously do have fresh fruit) on my yogurt and usually opt for mango and kiwi or strawberries. My fiance swears by the original flavor yogurt topped with Captain Crunch cereal and blackberries. Yoberri, Berry Chill and Starfruit, take note. Red Mango, come to Chicago!

I went to Naperville today with my husband today to meet some friends for lunch. After lunch, I insisted that we go to this great frozen yogurt chain called Red Mango (I have only been to the LaGrange location previous to today). When we arrived, I was embaressed I had ever suggested trying this Red Mango location! The girl behind the counter lacked of people skills: she continued rolling her eyes throughout our presence, did not make any eye contact, told us very rudely that we can't order if we're standing in front of the menus, and she sighed when I asked to sample a flavor, etc. I was with 4 adults and we all looked at each other and decided we would never spend our money here. I asked the girl behind the counter her name as we were leaving and she looked quite sheepish....however I don't think it would be right to put her name down as she is just a rude kid. WON'T BE BACK to this location for sure.

Delicious Froyo, especially the signature pomegranate and the seasonal pumpkin, and an excellent array of fresh toppings. I would encourage the manager to undertake an intensive employee training program however. I'm always disappointed with the staff. I understand that serving yogurt isn't a career, but impart a few customer service skills for god sake, and discourage the use of "like" like every other word. Otherwise, a pleasant experience.

I tried a pomegranate frozen yogurt topped with raspberries. What a treat and compliment for each other! Their yogurt is smooth, creamy and pretty much packed into a cup nicely so that there aren't any air pockets to object to. Their fruit is fresh, tasty, sweet and tart. The staff is friendly and the establishment itself is ultra clean, sleek, and inviting. They are a little on the pricey side, though.

naperville is blessed to have a red mango! this is awesome fro-yo and an excellent place to hang out and enjoy it if you can grab a seat in their contemporary lounge. i love the green tea fro-yo and usually get mochi and blueberries as toppings, but i'd love anything they have really. i can't get enough of that awesome tart flavor of the frozen yogurt. that's how fro-yo's supposed to taste like. not like a regular soft serve ice cream. people complain about the prices... well it's quality ingredients, fresh toppings, it's not going to be priced like a cone at mickeyDs

Supposedly opening in Jan/Feb 2008, the space as of mid Jan is still covered in paper, though the street sign is up. Taking over the old Arbor Vitae Java & Juice. Will update with review when it opens. Edit: Opened the week of May 12th, 2008. As with most of the "new wave" froyo places, the disclaimer to be said is this ain't your mom's TCBY. It's real frozen yogurt that has a slight tartness to it, and is a whole lot healthier than soft serve. They've got 2 flavors of froyo available - regular and green tea. Pricing at $3.50 for a 4oz small, not including the toppings. So, yes, you feel like you get kicked in the pants a little bit when you're ordering, but there really aren't any other options in the western burbs as of now. The only competitors outside of ones in downtown chicago are the Very Berry in Buffalo Grove, and some froyo place that's opening in Woodfield. Back to the toppings ... dry toppings such as Ghirardelli chocolate, various cereals, and sliced almonds are available along with your standard fresh fruit faire - mangos, strawberries, and on and on. Yes, for you asian-nites, they have mochi topping available, though it's not on the menu board when you order. If you don't know what mochi is, it's sorta a marshmallow sized mini sweet glutinous rice ball. The yogurt itself I found to be fairly smooth, simliar to Very Berry in Buffalo Grove, but sweeter - I think it's more accessible to the non-froyo initiated. It's a lot smoother vs. Berry Chill in the city, which is borderline icy if you watch it melt. The toppings appeared to be fresh, and the service was quick. The location itself is convenient, but parking can be scarce in bustling DT Naperville. Park at nearby Nichols Library and save yourself the search for parking in the lot adjacent to RM. The location itself has seating for about 20 people, and the decor is modern - a good place to hang out with some friends. The only thing keeping RM from getting 5 stars is the price, but without any competition that isn't going to change anytime soon.

Have I already reviewed this place? My obsession has turned into a sickness and I need to be institutionalized, stat. I've gone here no less than 4 times this week. But it is so delicious and so NOT bad for you! Seriously, a small red mango has 90 calories.. you cannot beat it. My only beefs are that a) it's kinda pricey and b) it is definitely a hang-out for some obnoxious teenagers. But I tend to go late so I can avoid them. Anyway, it's becoming a problem. Do yourself a favor and get an original with almonds and extra honey. O....M....G. You will NOT be sorry!

  • Finz L.

Although pricey it is tasty. If you are looking for ice cream go elsewhere this is yogurt. They have several flavors to choose from and multiple toppings...graham cracker and chocolate bits are my go to. Simple decorating sometimes music is a bit loud but you can take it to go and walk along the Riverwalk. Give it a try.

This is not your TCBY frozen yogurt. Some people may complain about that small bite of acidity in the yogurt but I love the flavor it gives this delicious treat. I went for the first time about 2 weeks ago and simply love it. When you are in the mood for a nice chill treat this summer and are in Downtown Naperville I deff recommend stopping by.

Red Mango is honestly the GREATEST treat in all of Naperville, in all of the suburbs, in all in the state of Illinois, and in all of the land! The first time I went here was last summer and I have been craving it on a weekly basis since then. Although each of the flavors and topping combos I have tried have been fantastic, my all time favorite is simply the Original with double strawberries. My husband and I will normally get a large of this (which is huge) and share...and realize we should have both ordered larges. The yogart is really refreshing and smooth. Great on a hot day...or really on any day.

    (5)
  • Nicole G.

I love Red Mango!! The fruit is so fresh and tastes great! Its a great combo w/ the tartness of the original flavor yogurt. The staff is usually spaced out and not very attentive, but they are usually young teenagers. You can handle it for the short amount of time it takes to get your order. The taste of the cool treat makes up for thier lack of tact.
