I have used My Chef for many occasions, large and small events, both personally and for my business. They have consistently created wonderfully, memorable celebrations. I have always found their food to be creative and delicious, their service to be top notch. They have a great team and in my experience are the best in the business in Naperville and the western suburbs. We are excited that My Chef will be the caterer for a family wedding coming up in June at Emerson Creek!

We had a small bday family (10 of us) get together, ages 3-90. After reviewing several catering websites I selected My Chef Catering (CC). I was looking for a nice variety not just tomato sauce on every dish. I decided to order Lunch/Dinner Meal #1 (minimum 12) and called in to Meghann at Chef Catering. The food was delivered on time & warm. We placed in oven on a warm temperature until ready to serve. We never ordered from CC before but after we experienced what great food they had we definitely will again! Everyone enjoyed the buffet dishes Chef Catering prepared. There was plenty of food for second helpings (which most of all took) and left overs. Highly recommend, you will not be disappointed :) Thank you CC for making the party even that much better.

MyChef catered our wedding in September at Wilder Mansion and they did a wonderful job! I booked them well in advance and was super glad I did. Their service was phenomenal. Bob was there the day of and he was AMAZING. My mom and husband both commented at how attentive and spot on he was! He knew exactly what to do without asking and his staff was extremely professional the entire night. Bob even made a point to make sure my husband and I ate (thank god - because I definitely drank a lot too). At one point, my husband dropped his beer on the dance floor and without missing a beat, Bob made sure someone was there to clean up the spill and immediately brought out another beer to my husband. Now THAT'S service! Everything was seriously perfect - which is a godsend on your wedding day because the day is crazy and goes by in a blink. The food was great as well! Several people commented on how good the food was. The bartender kept everyone happy (a very important thing). They even made a gluten free meal for a guest on the spot (who had not told me beforehand she couldn't eat gluten). The only sticking point I had was sometimes there were miscommunications during the planning process. Not many, but a few things and they were all easily clarified. However, during our tasting, which was with Dominick, everything went extremely well. He is so knowledgable about everything and even had a solution for getting chairs for our heavier guests without making them feel uncomfortable. He was so great at listening to what we wanted, extremely flexible to work with and great at finding solutions. His advice was spot on for everything! Their prices are very reasonable considering the excellent quality service and food they provide. I'd recommend them in a second to anyone for their wedding!

Absolutely wonderful. Not only was Susan, our Rep, helpful and accessible, but the food was heavenly. A wedding buffet for 110 people went off without a hitch. Nothing overcooked, nothing undercooked or dried out. The staff that My Chef provided were fun, professional, and yet unobtrusive. Terrific all around, I cannot say enough. Thank you SO much!

I took a chance and saw these reviews on Yelp. I was planning a party in the western suburbs, but I live in Los Angeles, CA. So I was worried, but the reviews were really good and so I thought I would take a chance. I had someone else do the tasting and they really liked it, so we went with it. Everyone loved it! The delivery was on time, the delivery person was very friendly and efficient. The set up was quick and easy. The food was tasty, we had the chicken with sundried tomatoes and the roasted potatoes and veggies, with rolls and a salad. We have a lot of picky eaters but everyone complimented the food. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others. (P.S. I have no complaints, I just rarely give a 5)

My Chef catered our wedding at the Danada House in May 2015. Overall, we were extremely happy with their services, and we would definitely recommend them to our friends and family. My husband and I did tastings with most of Danada's preferred caterers, and we both agreed that My Chef offered the best food at a reasonable price. Their bar packages were also great! Our only issue with My Chef concerned communication in the months leading up to the wedding. Although Dominick was our catering manager, we mostly communicated with his assistant (Kendall at first, and Lindsay later on). I'm not sure if it was due to the staff re-organization or something else, but we often waited a long time to receive a response to our emails and phonecalls, which was frustrating. However, all of our issues did get worked out in the end. On the day of the wedding, we couldn't have been happier with how everything came together. Although we had limited contact with Dominick before the wedding, he did a fabulous job bringing our event to life. He seemed to oversee every aspect of the day--decorating the atrium for the reception, setting up placecards, managing the dinner service. He even packaged our leftover cake for us at the end of the night. He truly knows how to run an event at the Danada House. Even if some of the communication in the months before the wedding was slow, we wouldn't have changed a thing. My Chef truly made our wedding wonderful.

I have to say, I was a little bummed about my experience with My Chef catering. They came highly reviewed so I think I expected more than what I got. This past weekend I hosted a surprise birthday party for my mom. I wasn't looking for a whole meal, just light appetizers and snacks to accompany the chips, dips, and booze I already had. The party was for about 30 people, and I didn't want to spend too much on apps, so instead of choosing one of their packages I just individually ordered what I wanted. Each appetizer was listed as a minimum purchase of two dozen. These are the options I went with: - Mini hamburgers - Mac n cheese balls - Tuscan skewers with salami, tortellini and olives - Buffalo chicken wontons with blue cheese - Mini Cheese pizzas I also opted to purchase the heating tins so I could easily keep the food warm. When all was said and done it cost me $248 plus tip. YEESH. I overlooked the cost at first because it seemed like the convenience and (assumed) quality would be worth it. Meh, probably not. Let me explain... Positive points: - Food was delivered on time - Delivery guy set everything up quickly - Party guests said the food tasted pretty good Negative points: - Presentation sucked - Food quality was not there for the price I paid. Each item (with the exception of the burgers and skewers) looked like something I could have gotten in the frozen appetizer section at the store and just popped in the micro. Bottom line, I expected more from My Chef. Photos I've seen and reviews I've read seem like they're top notch, but I didn't get that vibe. Don't get me wrong, all the food at my party was eaten, but that's probably largely due to the amount of booze that was being drank.

I would give My Chef Catering 10 stars if I could!! A special thank you to Sue Jacobs who worked side by side with me and the team at the Millennium carillon in Naperville to cater our wedding. Sue did such an incredible job of advising us on everything from the colors of our wedding (I had a general idea, but she really helped formalize the 4 colors beautifully) Sue gave us excellent recommendations on the number of tables and seats since it was a casual cocktail reception hors de vows style wedding. The food recommendations were wonderful and we received so many compliments on the food and there was enough for everyone. To our surprise, mychef put aside ONE OF EVERYTHING we ordered for the bride and groom. This was especially awesome on our limo ride to the hotel since we had hardly eaten at our wedding reception. I would highly recommend mychef catering for any of your catering needs; wedding, corporate event, private event etc. Thank you My Chef Catering and Sue for everything, you were a huge part of making our wedding so incredibly memorable.

My Chef catered our daughter's wedding this past weekend and I cannot say enough about the quality of customer service at My Chef. Amanda worked with us from day one, creating a menu to fit our budget yet be elegant and memorable. She offered suggestions for linens and set up which were perfect. The day of the wedding, everything went smoothly and looked effortless. We were able to enjoy the day without worrying about a single thing. The day was truly memorable. I know that Amanda and My Chef had a lot to do with that.

My Chef was fantastic! From the moment we walked into the tasting session until we exited our banquet hall, we were treated and served with respect, friendliness, and responsiveness. Communication throughout the process was prompt and helpful, which mirrored the way they served the food on the actual day. The food (especially the hors d'oeuvres!) tasted great, and I was very impressed on how My Chef went above and beyond countless times. Very flexible, and a joy to work with. On the wedding day, they were the lynchpin that helped keep everyone calm, as we knew that they had everything under control. Thank you very much!!
(5)Kathleen R.
I worked with Stephanie who was responsive and thorough in my interaction. We did a graduation party picnic that could not have been nicer. The fried chicken and burgers were a hit. People wanted the leftovers. A compliment to be sure. Thank you.

Unfortunately, I have nothing nice to say about this company. I contacted this company about catering my wedding & I practically begged for a proposal. After multiple attempts to get a response to my request Lindsay finally responded only to tell me she would get back to me that day, but no later than next business day. Those 2 days past & still no proposal. It became abundantly clear that my chef was not interested in catering my wedding. Quite frankly, given there inattentiveness and inability to respond to my very simple request, its probably best. Given this experience I'd be concerned they would ruin my wedding. Given all of the positive reviews I expected better. Thankfully, they're not the only catering company in Illinois. Moving on.

My experience with My Chef was terrific and I am a stickler for details! Our daughter's wedding dinner reception at our home on November 29, 2014 for 100 guests was planned and executed by Kendall and the on site My Chef staff as I had requested. The food was excellent and plentiful, the staff was attentive and efficient. The timing of the evenings event from the appetizers, champagne toast, dinner buffet and dessert was perfect! Kendall was very responsive to my requests for the event and was instrumental in getting the event up and running during the church ceremony. Upon our return home the candles were lit and the appetizers were ready (and beautifully displayed) and our guests were greeted at the door by the staff who cordially took their coats and welcomed them. Our family and friends are still raving about the tasty food that we served that evening! The buffet presentation was beautiful and the beef tenderloin and chicken were a huge hit! The bar service was great and the My Chef bartender gladly prepared large quantities of the bride's signature cocktail (Mojitos) throughout the evening. I have hosted many full service catering events in my home over the years and this was the first time I have used My Chef, and I have to say that My Chef exceeded my expectations and my previous experiences. I also have to mention that the clean-up and wrap up of the evening was also sufficiently handled. Actually it was the first time that I have had a catered event that was cleaned up and wrapped up on schedule. Kudos to all who worked our daughter's wedding. My husband and I were able to enjoy the evening and did not have to get involved in the details of the event....a real testament to the My Chef Staff. I would definitely use My Chef again for a full service catered event and would recommend them to anyone planning a special event.

My Chef Catering was the Caterer of our wedding that took place May 11, 2013. What a wonderful company! Not only was the price very reasonable, but the food was delish! Many of our guest told us "Best food they ever had at a wedding". We went with a duo entree of Parmesan crusted chicken breast and beef tenderloin. The beef was so tender and cooked to perfection. The chicken was moist and topping had a nice crunch. The side of roasted potatoes and asparagus was equally good. It was a very generous plate of food. Plus the salad and the bread basket, oh my! The appetizers and the dessert table/coffee bar were equally as fabulous. We could not be happier! Also, our Event Manager, Amanda Scarlati was a delight to work with. She was always there to answer any question and had great insight as well. She does her job very well and we felt in very good hands with her from beginning to end.

We selected My Chef on the strength of the tasting. They use a very productive way of determining what appetizers you like. I guess you could say they keep score based on your opinion of each appetizer. It was fun and we knew we had selected the right foods. We kind of thought that might be our last chance to taste the appetizers since at the wedding we would be involved in picture-taking etc. But the servers made sure they brought appetizers to us outside, even as they were walking about in Danada House serving our guests. Nice touch!. It was wonderful to be able to sneak a bite while waiting for the photographer to set up his shots. Since ours was a daytime wedding, we went with a champagne brunch. Dominick took our special requests and turned our wedding reception into a feast not soon to be forgotten! Whether your talking about the omelette bar, the sweets table or the biscuits and gravy, everything was perfect. A month later, our guests are still commenting on the wonderful food quality and the appetizing presentation. My Chef conducts events at Danada house all the time and their experience showed. Even though we chose not to hire a coordinator, it turned our we didn't need to. Dominick and Lyndsay ran the show, set tables and placed everything perfectly. We did not have one moment of anxiety. You can hire My Chef with confidence that they know what they are doing and will not drop any of the many balls that are up in the air at a complicated event. And the food will be plentiful incredible!

Sue Jacobs is amazing! She is so incredibly knowledgable, helpful, and knows everything about planning. I just left from our second meeting and she's explained everything perfectly and has been so accommodating. I could not ask for anyone better to be helping. She helped us with the food and linens for our wedding. We absolutely love her and are so grateful for everything he's been doing.

I'm not sure about the quality of their food or anything. And I'm sorry to have ruined their star rating and I'm sure their food is amazing but whoever drives their trucks has no consideration for other people on the road. I hope they can fix this because it can really ruin their reputation driving around with no consideration for other people on the road in a truck with your company's name all over it.

I've never been much for catering - I like to make my own food. That way I know what goes into it and it's much, much cheaper. That being said, I've been to three events catered by My Chef - I didn't foot the bill and have no idea what it was, so I'm only reviewing food. BREAKFAST - Two events with breakfast food. It was a fun assortment of typical food, but presented differently. Rather than a tray of eggs and sausage, there were breakfast burritos. Instead of greasy hash browns, there were diced potatoes with onions and peppers. The fried egg with canadian bacon on a croissant? DELISH. I can't imagine trying to execute something like that for a crowd. WEDDING: I RSVP-ed to the wedding long before I realized it would be catered instead of cooked in-house, and made the mistake of ordering fish. I could tell - it really would have been delicious, if it weren't for the fact that it was cold. I can't knock them down a star for that though; it was unusually cold in May and they were cooking in one location and delivering inside a tent. Not ideal - though it's a catering company so I feel there is some responsibility to the temperature of the food. The sides were great, as was the presentation. TIMELINESS: Temperature problems = time problems. At the wedding, we were the last table served. As in, other tables were having plates cleared before we received our food, last. Definitely need to work on the correct amount of servers for the size of the crowd. They were 45 minutes late to one of the breakfast events I attended (just last week), which caused a bit of stress for the hostess.

My office (~30 people) had a belated holiday party yesterday. We catered it with My Chef. They were wonderful. We had three of their staff to do the setup, serving, and cleanup afterwards, and they were professional, friendly, and during the cleanup phase, they went above and beyond, helping us with things that they were not responsible for. We provided the tables, and they brought pretty much everything else, and their setup was attractive and appealing. For starters, we had stuffed mushrooms, BBQ meatballs, roasted vegetables, and raw vegetables with a fantastic chipotle dip that had a nice zip to it. The mushrooms and meatballs were devoured in a hurry, but I especially liked the raw veg dip. For mains, we had these delicious chicken breasts, but I'm afraid I don't know the name or makeup. It was probably a white wine sauce with a few capers and something (?) that gave it a bit of a tang. A nice wild rice mix was maybe ever so slightly dry, but very tasty nevertheless (hey, I got seconds, so it can't have been too bad). The salad was also nice - not just boring iceberg, but a nice assortment of leafy greens. I'm not a desert eater, so I can't comment on that. Price-wise, I only know that we came in significantly under-budget in terms of what the company was willing to pay for, so smiles all around. :-)

This is a review of my wedding last week on 7/27/13 at Emerson Creek. I was so impressed by Sue Jacobs (my contact throughout the process) that I felt compelled to write my review immediately. Sue was a pleasure to work with and was the easiest part of the wedding planning process, which is ironic as it typically is the caterer that presents challenges. She worked with us on the menu to specialize each appetizer, entree and dessert. They also accommodated our guests with numerous allergies - gluten free, gluten/dairy free, dairy free, etc. and executed flawlessly. I highly recommend MyChef's services to anyone looking for a caterer for any event that is flexible with their ingredients while also cost efficient.

Our daughter got married January 10, 2015 at the Katherine Legge Lodge, and My Chef catered the meal and beverages. Account Executive Lindsay Nauss handled our account from the early stages to the wedding, and was very attentive to all our questions and concerns. The day of the wedding there was a minor snafu with another vendor, and Lindsay and her superb wait staff pitched in and helped things go smoothly. With her assistance, people were seated and the reception was a stunning success. The food was delicious and the drinks were plentiful. I can't thank you enough, Lindsay Nauss and My Chef, for a memorable evening. I will sing your praises to anyone looking for a Five Star Caterer!

My Chef brings a talented chef and professional wait staff for your special event. The food for our party was delicious, and their treatment of the tables was beautiful. They accommodated special dietary needs cheerfully and were pleasant to work with in every way. I highly recommend My Chef. Sue Jacobs was a helpful and insightful advisor as we made our plans. Only good things to say here!

My Chef did our wedding on July 5th, 2012. I cannot tell you how many of our guests raved and raved about the food! Sue worked with us on our wedding and was very patient with us. First of all, we didn't want a "wedding wedding" - we wanted to do a rustic/green/very chill wedding - so we had a chef grilling some of the food onsite, and we had a delicious buffet set up. Sue helped us to decide on our rentals (our venue didn't provide anything other than the chairs and tables) and made sure we had everything we needed for the big party. She definitely helped us with the logistics of the day without making us feel stupid (that's always a plus). The food tasting was fantastic! We tried some many different things that were delicious that we had a hard time deciding what to keep. Everything was to die for! The best thing was that the minute we didn't like something (we weren't sure about the cuban pork and the rub on the chix) the chef was like "give me 15 minutes" and came back in 10 with 4 more choices that he just whipped out on the spot. And they were awesome!!! Sue also came out to see our venue not once, but twice before the wedding. It was really nice to see her just a couple of days before the wedding and to be able to discuss where everything would go and how things would work. And it paid off, because on the day of the wedding everything went really smooth (and if it didn't - I never knew about it, which is fine by me). My Chef handled the buffet situation very well - they would let people know when their table could go and get food and kept people from just standing in line and being annoyed. And the food just disappeared. Everyone kept getting up to get more food (but in the end we still had a lot of food left). Oh, did I mention that the cost of this was great? Although I don't have a lot of catering experiences to compare to, I was expecting the catering to be much more expensive, considering that we also had to rent all the glasses/water pitchers/and everything else. I look forward to working with My Chef Catering on any of my future parties.
(5)Megan B.
What a great catering company! I am from out of state and was unable to be there when my mom had surgery recently. Lindsay worked with me to come up with a good mix of food to get my family thru the recovery week since my mom usually does the cooking. She helped me come up with some options that fit my budget and would be tasty and easy for my brothers and dad to heat up. I would definitely use them for unique situations. My family LOVED the food and had lots of yummy leftovers. They were flexible with pick up/delivery and helped me find good recipes that were par baked so that they could heat them up on their time frame. Great company and easy to work with. Keep up the good work!
(5)Emily W.
Booked MyChef catering for my wedding and they were fantastic! Everything was delicious and the staff was very professional. We worked with Sue, who made us feel at ease the whole night. One of our guests even told us that it was the best food he had ever had at a wedding. We couldn't be happier that we chose MyChef and would highly recommend them.
(5)Linda B.
First time I've used My Chef. Won't go anywhere else now. For a Holiday party we chose to serve an ample portion of their varied and delicious hors d'oeuvres along with wine and spirits rather than a sit down dinner. Everyone particularly loved the mini chicken cordon bleu, the bacon wrapped scallops, beggar's purses and the bbq pork sliders. Altho I worked with a total of 4 MC people, each person was right on top of the game. My Chef credits your optional Tasting toward your order, an excellent policy. Altho an intimate gathering, we chose to include a server. Debbie was prompt and professional, thereby relieving me of hosting the food and refilling wine and coffee, throughout the evening, and that put the bow on the entire package. I highly recommend My Chef.
(5)Johanna C.
We booked My Chef for our wedding at Wilder Mansion in Elmhurst and couldn't have been happier. From the initial tasting, we were sold by their delicious food and professionalism. They offered us a discount right then and there because we were worried about the costs. Their prices are very reasonable for the quality of their food. Their food selection was very vast and they let us try many dishes until we were satisfied with our choices. We worked with Dominick and Laurie, and they were very helpful and made sure our day went very smoothly. They even brought extra candles and table numbers for our venue, which turned out to be extremely helpful. The wait staff was very helpful and accommodating and very professional and helped deal with a couple of our guest issues. We don't live in Illinois, but if we did, we would book them for all of our events!

I choose My Chef for my wedding at Danada House on 11/16/12. I would 150% recommend this to anyone that wants delicious food and FABULOUS service. I choose them after going to numerous banquet halls and also meeting with other caterers. Like many brides, I did not know what to expect, was on a budget, and had lots of questions. Dominick and Kendall were so patient and helpful. They sat down with my mom, myself and my fiancee and throughly went over every detail and also let us taste EVERYTHING before the event. Dominick definitely knew TONS about weddings and actually helped ease my nerves about planning and every other aspects. Dominick and Kendall were very friendly and easy to talk to. They were respectful of my budget and helped cut costs where I didnt need certain items. There were no games being played the way I felt dealing with other wedding vendors. I was pleased throughout the process and couldn't believe how wonderful my wedding day was because of My Chef. Dominick became my wedding planner. Not only was he fabulous with the food he helped me with other details with guests and my own nerves, etc. I received numerous compliments from guests about how delicious the food was and the service. I had never seen a wedding where the servers came out all at once so everyone received their food at one time. They also were bringing second helpings to some guests. Honestly, I could not give a greater review. My Chef was absolutely fabulous and I will use them for any other events I have in my life. They not only had amazing food, service, but were a huge help and support to a stressful process. I am truly grateful for all they did. THANK YOU DOMINICK!!
(5)Michelle T.
They are one of the best. I have used My Chef for numerous work events and decided to use them for my wedding as well. Dominick and Amanda are life savers and very good at what they do. They do a great job of creating a unique event that is tailored to your preferences. They have years of experience and know when to steer you in the right direction or to bring fresh ideas to the table. And the food- FABULOUS! They recognized our budget constraints and were willing to help us find ways to save and decide what areas were worth splurging on. I am very detail-orientated and can be opinionated at times, especially when it is MY big day, but Dominick and his team not only meet but continue to exceed my expectations, and that is not easy to do. Go with My Chef- you will not be disappointed!

We were saved with My Chef Catering. Months before our April wedding, the caterer we wanted to use completely flaked on us and we started to freak. Face it, for weddings, you do NOT go to family friends, even if they say they're "gourmet catering". We found My Chef Catering on the preferred list of caterers for a handful of venues we toured. After reading reviews and checking out their menu, we knew we were going into actual professional territory. We had a great tasting with Amanda and felt immediately comfortable because she got what we wanted to do - low key, but classy - and made sure it was going to work. Weeks before the event, the Naperville-based staff trekked out to DeKalb, which was a new venue for them, and made sure everything was going to run smooth for our day. They truly go above and beyond. Name the food allergy - one of our guests had it. Amanda and her team worked around everything and knew everything; even when a previously unknown allergy was revealed about halfway into dinner service, the catering team had an answer for us within moments (no worries, no issues). You want good food? They've got good food! We weren't very traditional with what we wanted. We didn't want a plated meal, but we didn't want weak food. We went with an appetizer buffet (which we renamed as "tapas-style"). All of our guests had great things to say about every item on the buffet (Aunts still rave about how great it was!). As everyone went back for seconds and thirds, we were amazed at not only how well everything tasted, but honestly how much food there was! No one was hungry, and our pocketbooks didn't cry for months before the big day. So about that budget. They work with you! We came in under because that's how awesome Amanda is. We told her what we were looking to spend and she met it. When our guest list went down, we weren't sassed. When I completely flaked about what kind of plates I wanted (went for the crystal-like plastic so no one would have to lug china around), she was fine with the change in contract. This is the place you want to go if you don't want to be hassled, have a great rapport with the vendor and overall...have amazing food! Our only regret as the bride and groom: we didn't stock up on enough food for ourselves when we went through the line. We got so busy that when we finally ate, dinner service was over, and we wanted more. I wish all my friends/family use My Chef Catering so I can eat more of these amazing artichoke beignets and stuffed mushrooms.

My Chef Catering is absolutely incredible. Very easy to work with, and incredibly quick with replies. They also let me customize to a menu that would make my mother happy. Kendall is such a dear to work with, and their food - absolutely top notch! I have never had catering so good in my life. Bruchetta Chicken was moist and flavorful, Pecan salad was presented wonderfully, and was delicious, and oh my gosh, the parmesan mashed potatoes - they were to die for! They set everything up wonderfully, and had extremely reasonable rates as well. I can't wait to use them for more events. We have used many caterers in the past, but no one has even been close to the food here. delicious! Note: if you want a very nice "look" to the presentation of the food, upgrade to the "ornate chafing dishes". At first, I thought it seemed steep, but it made such a difference to our guests, and the addition of the chafers was worth every penny. Absolutely wonderful. Thank you Kendall and Dominick!

We used My Chef for our wedding at Danada House for our wedding last summer and they did such an amazing job. They provided our linens, glass wear, and of course food for our reception. Dominick is such an amazing person, and is really passionate about his work. Everything was perfect. We had stuffed chicken breast with redskin potatoes and green beans for our main meal. We received a lot of comments on how wonderful the meal was. They also did a dessert room for us that was unbelievable. It looked so beautiful and everything was delicious. For everything that My Chef did for us they also are very reasonably priced. The food was wonderful and their customer service couldn't have been better. I highly recommend My Chef and we plan on using them for future events.

This is a review for our June 16, 2012 wedding. We were so pleased with the services we received from MY CHEF Catering. We choose two different entrees. One was beef tenderloin and the other tilapia fish, bother were excellent. The potatoes and fresh vegetables were prepared to perfection. We had so many compliments on the hor devours and coffee bar, it was great. I especially appreciated the set-up/decorating they provided. The venue we chose didn't let us decorate anything ahead of the caterers set-up. Since the wedding was scheduled for 2 o'clock and we couldn't get in to decorate until 1 o'clock, I panicked and emailed the coordinator for MY Chef. She replied immediately asking for directions. We were allowed to drop off the decorations and when we arrived at the reception after the wedding everything was setup and even the extra decorations were placed to make the atmosphere beautiful. They set up our lawn games, which our guests really enjoyed. The take down and clean-up was unnoticed by any of us. The whole event was so great and we highly recommend My Chef Catering!

I hired My Chef Catering for my wedding at the Oak Brook Bath and Tennis Club in October 2012. From the start, I really enjoyed working with Amanda. She's very professional, friendly, and understanding of all my questions and changes! :) We were impressed with all of the options and happy that they were able to accommodate some ideas of our own. Our guests raved about the appetizers, food, and drinks! Amanda did a great job coordinating with our DJ service and florist as well, as all the final details were coming together. She's extremely responsive and communicates well on everything along the way. I'd definitely hire My Chef Catering again and highly recommend them to others!

My Chef did the catering for my daughters wedding yesterday (9-15-12) and did an outstanding job. Working with Amanda Scarlati was wonderful. She had great knowledge of our venue and helped us through the whole process from putting the menu together to table linens, bar options and great food. We received so many compliments on the appetizers, salad, soup and of course the main course. Even some die hard foodies said the food was excellant. The beef tenderloin medallions were fork tender and perfectly done. The salmon was delicious and the portobella mushroom dish was well received. They even helped us with a few vegan appetizers and main courses. The bartender was excellant!!!!!!! Kudos to the chef. At the tasting my husband ate just about everything that was offered until his plate was clean. Not just a taste for him. He chowed down on it all. The entire wait staff was great. Thanks you to My Chef's incredible team. I highly recommentd them.

Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! My Chef Catering did the food, drinks and deserts for our wedding and could not have done a better job. The food was not only fantastic but the planning was fun too. Dom went above and beyond for us when we ran into some planning bumps. We could not be happier. I highly recommend My Chef Catering for a private catered wedding or any event. My favorite was the sweets table but everything was amazing! Thanks My Chef.

Amanda at My Chef was fantastic. She made everything so easy and smooth. She took care of every last detail and delivered on all of her promises and more! We had a full bar, cocktail hour, plated dinner, late night snack, cake, and sweets table. The food was fantastic and we got so many compliments on it! She was also able to help us with our budget and payments so it really made it all very easy. The service staff that night was super, really great service. I wouldn't change a thing. I would recommend Amanda at My Chef to anyone.

This does not cover their food or service since we did not get to experience ANY of those! They are listed as a preferred caterer for the Naperville Park District. I emailed them and never heard a word back. Normally I would just brush it off and move on but I contacted them in the past for a bridal shower and never heard back from them regarding that event either!! I was not surprised to read(filtered out) reviews reiterating the poor/non-existent communication by the staff. What person getting ready to spend lots of money wants to hire a company that has poor communication skills and would make event planning a headache? Not me. No thank you!

My company has used My Chef multiple times for meetings and let me just say...yum!! I love eating an actually breakfast of bacon, eggs and fruit versus the regular bagels and donuts. Their sandwiches are delicious as well. Veggie rolls, pitas, club sandwiches, orzo salad. All delicious. So glad we found them!

Food- Very good! They offer a diverse menu that appeals to all audiences. From appetizers, to entrees, to desserts, their food was excellently prepared. They even catered to several gluten-free requests. Service- My communication was mostly through e-mail. Their staff answered questions promptly and accurately. Delivery and set up were also completed in a timely fashion. Price- Overall cost was a little steep. However, the quality did live up to the cost. Helpful hint, purchase your own plates and silverware rather than going through the company. Conclusion- I would strongly recommend My Chef for any catering event. Both the food and service were top notch and pleased the entire crowd!
