The food was excellent. Great quiet atmosphere for a Sunday night of dinning in the Naperville/Aurora area. I will definitely come back. So should you. #JimmyBsIsGreat

I found it odd that on a week-day at lunch hour on this hopping strip of 59 this place was practically empty. Everything about our meal was fine (an assortment of salads, sandwiches and burgers), service was standard, and the dim clubby atmosphere made for a reprieve on a bright afternoon. Maybe people are taking "ale house" literally and only think of it as a bar, or maybe this place is haunted by the ghosts of restaurants past (Boston Blackie's; the strangely schizo City Island health food burger yoga retreat) and people sense that. Whatever, it's worth giving Jimmy B's a shot.

Came for lunch at 1:30 was not greeted in fact I was the only one there, sat at the bar for over 5 minutes not a sole to be seen finally went to the kitchen and asked if they were open!!!! I thought since I was the only one in the restaurant I would get good service!! Not likely. Bartender was friendly but seemed to be busy doing stuff??? Took way too long coming back to take an order for food, I almost didn't order I was hungry which is the only reason I stayed Ordered the Pretzels turned out to be just pretzel rolls heated up and dried out both the pretzels and lumpy cheese sauce were bland and tasteless. Do owners and operators ever taste their food any more!! Ordered a beer from the list $7 it was served in a small brandy glass ( I understand craft beer serving portions) probably 5oz so much for perceived value Reading the menu the owner/partner said he has been in hospitality for 30 years !!! You would think they would have gotten it by now...all I can say is shame on them for allowing their business to deteriorate. There was a sewer smell when you walked in which means their cleaning and sanitation practices are questionable which can be exceptionally costly to the business A manager person showed up after about 40 minutes who seemed to be clueless to what was going on, so much for supervision and training. When I left the bar there was only one other customers in the place food and service should have been perfect, if this is the best they can do, this restaurant will fail miserably. I am one person or persons that will not be back I will admit I am a hospitality professional of over 40 yrs and yes my expectations are high, that said these are basic management fails that will slowly kill a business. Let me know if you need help alennon52@gmail.com

The food here is good compared to other ale houses, they have unique view on classics like jalapeño poppers which are unbreaded but baked. Chilli soup was actually spicer than the poppers, which suprised me, it had good amount of ingredients and was very thick with meat, large cut vegetables and beans. Beer selection was interesting and completely different, according to my husband. He tried a couple. The place got 3 stars only because of service. I asked for no ice I got a full cup of ice. Our waiter forgot the utensils, no forks nothing, we waited over 10 minutes with our food infront of us before he even came to the table, since a bus boy gave us our food. Our party asked multiple times for napkins and never got them. When we finished our food we waited for 20 minutes for him to come, so we could ask for the check, one of the friends started to actually go and find the waiter. Good food, bad service.

The food was poor, the service slow and I had to get up and go to the bar to ask for our table to be cleared. The drink was spritzed with a flat soda and I ordered top shelf liquor. Will not return. It was not crowded in there to receive that type of service, did not seem to be any leadership.

This place was average, at best. I came here following a movie at the Palms this past weekend - wasn't sure how the 6:30/7pm dinner rush would be but there was a minimal wait, only a couple ahead of us. During the wait I walked to the bathroom and saw several tables open. Again, our wait was minimal. Our waitress pretty much followed me to my seat, as I was sitting down and taking my coat off she asked if we wanted anything to drink. I pretty much told her as nice as possible that I JUST SAT DOWN and to give us a minute... I mean, really?!?! I'm pretty sure she knew this too. I get some people are a usual "Diet Coke" with my dinner kind of people, but this is an ALE house, therefore I wanted to check out their beer menu. My friend and I both decided on flights - which I believe were $9 a piece, the price isn't on the menu. We also settled on appetizers only - and of course any of the CUPS on the menu were out... taco cups, etc. so we had to change our mind for something else. We got the pretzels - they were fine, can't really mess up pretzels. We got the cheeseburger flatbread which was missing something, it was pretty bland, and got cold fast, and potato skins...again, nothing special. Maybe I should have just ordered a meal, I'm not sure but I wasn't impressed with anything nor did I walk out satisifed. Our waitress came by with the bill and asked if we wanted a box...didn't ask if we wanted anything else, a refill, etc. Which was a little annoying too...at least ask? Since she didn't ask anything ahead of time she had to recalculate the bill based on the groupon I brought in. Not sure if I'd come back to this place since there are MANY other places to go in the area.

This place totally surpassed our expectations. We were expecting a way more casual sports bar atmosphere, but this place is really nice and classy. I had a great burger here on New Year's Day. My husband had an excellent chicken sandwich. Both sandwiches were juicy and flavorful. We both had the homefries which were yummy, but would be better if they were crispy. They have a really good beer selection too. While our server was nice, quick and attentive, he didn't ask if we wanted another beer or a dessert before bringing us our check. I believe the best customer service happens when you don't feel like you're being rushed out of the building, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't intentional. Nice spot and they've been on Groupon lately, so check before you go!

Craft beer and fancy salad. That's what Naperville does. Okay not necessarily, but that's what Jimmy B's did for me. My husband and I have been wanting to try this ale house for quite some time now. We came in on a Friday for lunch and decided to sit outside on their patio. I have to say - what a great space! They have TVs outside a bunch of tables and even a couch sitting area that surrounds a fire pit (which I'm sure is awesome on a fall night). I ordered a Solemn Oath Snaggletooth beer and Jimmy's Classy Salad in a Silver Bowl (ya know, to average out my brew calories). The salad includes fresh mixed greens, dries cranberries, grilled chicken, blue cheese, apples, walnuts and extra virgin olive oil lemon dressing. Such a delicious choice! And they weren't kidding, for a beer and burger spot this salad was super fancy (and indeed came in a huge silver bowl). I suggest getting another dressing though. I tried the lemon evoo, but for me it wasn't enough. I ended up getting a side of raspberry vinegarette which paired perfectly with the salad. My husband got the Leo Sr. Patty Melt which I assume was really good because he devoured it. I tried some of his sweet potato fries and they're some of the best I've ever had! Highly suggest checking this place out!

I originally really liked this place so much. But the last few times I've been in here the service has gone way down. Today I ordered soup with my meal. The guy that brought my soup out told me they already had my meal ready and asked if I wanted them to bring it out. I said "no, because I want to enjoy my soup and the meal will get cold." Not a minute later my meal gets brought to me by another person. I was pissed, but figured I would just eat my soup and if I got to the meal and it was cold I'd say something. The server comes out and asks how everything is. I tell him I'm afraid the meal will be cold. He says that if it is he'll bring it back. And waits awkwardly until I take a bite. I say it is a little cold, but I'll deal with it. He goes and tells his manager. Manger tells him to give me a drink or desert for free, but I'm a restricted diet so I say no. The manager never even comes out to talk with us and it was dead in there. He could have come himself to tell me that. And I didn't order a burger, I ordered steak. $40 fir cold beef.

Went for lunch on a Saturday. By the time we ordered our food we were the only people left in the restaurant - group of 8. The server was inatentive, forgot drinks and left us sitting for 45 mins without any attention when the food finally came out 3 of the 8 meals were incorrect and all were room temp except 1. Sent a meal back that was not cooked to order, ended up sending again because it still wasn't cooked. Food was mediocre - I had the pot roast.

Pretty decent place to go after work. Service was pretty quick, but we got there pretty late with the kitchen closing in about 15 minutes. So I do apologize for that to the staff. I got the Stuff It burger. It was alright, and I've had plenty of burgers.

I don't like giving out one star reviews but this place left a bad taste in our mouth. No pun intended there by the way. I'll start from the beginning. Walked in to be greeted by a very kind and attentive hostess. She was genuinely sweet and we immediately felt welcome. We were told there would be a short wait--no problem. We sat down in front of the fireplace, nice touch especially since it was freezing outside. But the waiting area is entirely too small. Every time someone walks in you're blasted with freezing wind. And there are like 5 seats in total so I imagine they have a lot of people standing around, crowding the door when things get busy. If they get busy that is. So eventually we get seated in a booth not far from the bar. Our server comes up and says he'll be taking care of us. Never looks at us and mumbles so much we both ask each other "what did he say" when he walks away. We order a couple martinis and notice them sitting on the bar. 5 minutes later. Still sitting on the bar. 5 minutes later. Still sitting on the bar. Has anyone seen our server? Oh, there he is. He's refilling some peoples water glasses over the wall partition separating their booth from a walkway. I'm talkin' arm dangling down over a 5 foot wall filling the glasses. Looked totally ridiculous and utterly unprofessional. Who is this guy with the faux-hawk? And how is he a server? Our martinis are delivered and needless to say they are room temperature. My wife sends hers back not only because it is warm, but also because it tastes like the juice from a wet bar rag. He seems not to believe her and reluctantly takes the drink away. I would have sent mine back as well but I choked it down for fear our food would be spat in. I recall the appetizers being okay but when our food showed up my baked potato was frozen in the middle & other items were cold. Nice. Now we're the customers that are going to be "complaining about everything". We had lost much of our appetite by then and I decided to just get everything wrapped up and we'd heat it up at home for leftovers. Oh sure, I'll take some more water as our server poured into my glass from over the wall. Glad to see him do that again. Just then the manager (or who I trust was acting manager) comes walking over and asks us how everything was. I told him, "you know, I'm usually not one to complain but we had a few issues." I explained the issues with the drinks and that our food was cold. He never apologized. Just blathered out some excuses, oh yes we have been very busy tonight etc. etc. Okay. Well this is a restaurant. You're supposed to be busy. You're supposed to thrive on business! Especially when it's busy! He goes over to a POS machine and our server walks up to him. I can see the manager talking to the server and the server is just shaking his head with a sly grin on his face. Without a doubt in my mind they're talking about our conversation and how I'm complaining about this and that. So the disgusting drinks and cold food are somehow my fault? This place straight up sucks. Fire your unprofessional staff and management and try again. We won't be coming back and if I had to guess no one else will either. This place is destined to go out of business if this is how they run it.

My girl and I made our third or fourth visit here on Saturday afternoon. Things seem to be getting better. The service related issues they have had were real. Our first visit after they opened found plenty of open seats at the bar but all of them had dirty glassware that wasn't being removed. Being that this is such a nice building and close to our home we didn't give up on it. I have always liked their beer selection and I appreciate the beer menu that has detailed descriptions when I am feeling like trying something new. We both ordered burgers and were very happy with their preparation. I ordered the Hot Momacita burger that I have liked on a previous visit. My girl ordered a Velveeta Burger that she raved about. She said it was one of the best she has had and ate ALL of it which is unusual. Both were ordered medium well and they nailed it. The only service related issue was after we finished our meal and a couple drinks, the bartender asked if we wanted our check... instead of asking if we wanted another drink (which we did). That struck us as strange. We sit at bars all over the country and have never been asked that. Never the less, the place is clean, food prep seems to be good, staff is friendly and I still like their beers. We also over heard a conversation with the manager and staff regarding improvements, so they are trying. The one consistent from all our visits is they are never very busy during times we are there. We are afraid they may follow the rest of the businesses that have been in this building. If you have been here and had a less than good experience, please give them another chance. You may be surprised.

This place is beautiful. The bar is beautiful, the patio is fantastic and the food is really good. I got the stuffed burger and it was on point my only complaint is that the drinks were a little weak

I only wish 0 was an option! This was by far the worst dining experience I have ever had. For the first time in my life I was forced to leave $. 00 as a tip. I actually wrote the server on the tip spot if you hate your job that much quit! So I had never been here before and the menu item Beef Stew just struck a cord with me as it is one of my favorite dishes. When it came to the table boy was I disappointed.. It was this sliced Italian beef with brown gravy on it under cooked vegetables and potatoes on the side. I questioned the waiter and he said that's our beef Stew walked away. 20 Minutes later he reappeared reaking of smoke I told him my concerns and left sent a manager over. The manager asked so what do you want? I explained I wasn't going to eat this, he finally offers to replace my meal, he sends the waiter over. I reorder something different that comes up and the waiter looks at me all creepy like I can't wait for you to bite into this.. My feelings were that there might be some added ingredients to the sandwich. I had it wrapped up to go as by this point it was 9:45 and I was done!! AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!!!

After yet another failed attempt at finding the bf some winter boots, we decided to call it a day and go grab something to eat. After checking out my bookmarks and nothing really sounding good, I suggested Jimmy B's, as it was on our way home. The bf agreed, and we made our way down god-awful 59. We arrive, and it looked like they were busy. As we walk in, I wasn't even in the door when the hostess looked at us and said "Just two?" Not a "Hello, how many?" or "Hi, welcome to Jimmy B's!" Clearly, she had a better place to be. She begrudingly shuffled her way to the booth near the back by "the Green Room" (whatever that is) and seated us. Again, no "your server will be right with you" or "enjoy your meal." This little brat could use some customer service skills. Shortly after we were seated, our server Carissa (sp?) appeared. She was wonderful; she took our appetizer and drink order right away. We started with the Spinach and Artichoke Dip (surprise, surprise... bf's choice, of course). For drinks, I decided on Solemn Oath's Oubliette and the bf had a Rogue Dead Guy ale. She put our order in, and moments later she brought our drinks out. For an ale house, I thought they'd have a bigger selection. Not to mention the drinks were pretty expensive. Carissa then asked if we were ready to order. We told her that we were. I chose the Hot Mamasita burger with fries, and the bf went with the Stuff It! burger with fries. The Hot Mamasita is a burger with chorizo, pepperjack cheese, pico de gallo, and chipotle mayo. The Stuff It! had cheddar cheese and bacon stuffed inside it, topped with onion strings. A few minutes after taking our entree order, the appetizer arrived. As far as Spinach and Artichoke dips go, they all taste about the same to me. It was good, but nothing spectacular. The chips that came with the dip were a bit on the chilly side, though. Our order arrived about 20-25 minutes later. The burgers come on brioche buns. Neither the bf nor I care for them, but we knew that's how they came ahead of time and ate our food anyway. Or tried to. The bf's burger was not stuffed- the bacon and cheese were on top of the burger. Normally that isn't an issue, but when you order a STUFFED burger, the STUFF should be STUFFED inside. Needless to say, he wasn't thrilled about his meal. I told him to say something to the waitress but he waived me off and said it's fine. My Hot Mamasita was actually pretty damn good. Plenty of spice, cooked to my preference, and flavorful. Again, I wasn't crazy about the brioche, but it didn't ruin my meal. The bf summed it up as "the fries are plain jane and the burger meat is plain." I enjoyed my burger to some extent. It wasn't the best I've ever had, but certainly not the worst, either. But for $10.95, your burger better be damn good! Some positives- the table was clean, as was much of the restaurant. The busboys quickly removed our appetizer dish, and the lighting was cozy. The decor was a little.... odd. I've never frequented that place when different establishments were there, but the inside of Jimmy B's seemed to be a mix of everything. Tons of t.v.s would suggest sports bar. I don't know what's going on with the birch trees (currently strung with Christmas lights). The west side dining area made me think of Denny's. And, as another reviewer mentioned the bedazzled lights over each table. Those were weird. The light itself was nice; the housing, not so much. We paid, and proceeded towards the exit. I was nearly outside before I heard the hostess say "Have a good night." At least, I'm guessing that's what she said. I was already well past the acceptable point of greeting/well-wishing customers. The bf said "this place won't last; they need to work on their burgers." I agree they will not last unless they create burgers that are worth $10.95 and send their hostess back to Customer Service 101.

Three main issues after eating here a few times starting with the least important in my opinion to the most important (and why I won't eat here ever again): Uniforms and atmosphere: the restaurants decor is lovely. It is upscale, warm and the current owners definitely have the advantage of the previous restaurant owners handing them an A+ in decor. Unfortunately, the new owners completely miss the mark in trying to take an upscale bistro and turn it into a tacky sports bar complete with incredibly cheap looking uniforms - especially on the female servers. The hostess has always set a nice tone with her upscale dress, only be confused when seeing short shorts and a poorly designed t-shirt on the servers. Minor complaint, but it just doesn't fit the feel of the building or the seeming high-end bistromenu. Execution: some of the food is pretty tasty (sweet potato fries are great when not overcooked), but unfortunately when you ask for medium rare and continually get dry, overcooked and underseasoned burger meat, it doesn't matter how great the toppings are... Cleanliness: on our last visit, when I sat down at the table, they had not cleaned the edges of the table or checked the seats. I ended up with a very sticky sleeve full of BBQ sauce that clearly had been sitting there for some time. While the manager and waitress were very apologetic and helped clean me up, when I went to wash up, there wasn't any hot water in the bathrooms. *I REPEAT - no hot water for the employees or patrons to wash their hands after using the restroom. I see that as a huge health hazard, and will never eat here again just for that reason alone.* Get it together, Jimmy B's. I wouldn't be surprised if you underdress, overcook and under clean your way out of business.

Our first visit to this place was amazing! Our second visit, not so much. We stopped here on our way home from vacation. It was around 6:30pm on Thursday and there was hardly anyone there, not a good sign. The hostess also turned out to be our waitress & it seemed like she wasn't into the waitress in thing. There were only about 4 tables of people inside & a large group at a table outside. There was confusion with the beer menus because we were given different ones & she didn't know which one was right. The food was slow to come out but was good. The home fries were cooked differently from our 1st visit, not bad, but not better either. My son wanted a hot dog & it came out plain, on a bun with a small pile of fries. That's it - for $5.95. I had the Grilled Herb Chicken Sandwich & liked it alot. The waitress was confused when I asked for a sample of one of the craft beers on tap & said she would have to ask. I'm not sure why this was a strange request, most ale houses will give you samples. She brought me the tiniest amount in a little glass, pretty much enough for 2 sips, & then seemed confused that I didn't want to order that one. (Maybe it was due to me not liking it?) During our first visit, our waiter happily gave me a large sample & asked how I liked it, etc. I would probably give this place another try but I'm concerned that they are never busy while all of the surrounding restaurants are packed.

I was looking for a place to eat one snowy, chilly night. I decided to look at some local deals and found one on a group to the on type of site. I figured I would try jimmy b's since it was a good deal and I haven't tried them yet. I know it's the same owners as juicy-o. I got the stuffed burger with cheddar and bacon stuffed and on top of the burger. It also had fried onion strings. The burger was ok. The meat itself was plain and not much flavor in it. I sat at the bar soon i was by myself and the overall service was not great. The bartender wasn't rude but wasn't necessarily friendly either. She didn't ask much or check in to frequently. The place was also slow so there's no excuse. Overall the place is ok. You can find a better place to spend your money.

We ordered boneless buffalo chicken, Jimmy b salad and over the top salad. Boneless buffalo was dry over fried and tasted old, both salad was mediocre with Jimmy b salad tasted bitter. The bacon bits in the over the top was great and the bun that came with the salads were good. The atmosphere is ok with an off feeling of is it a sports bar or a restaurant.

Love it! My boyfriend and I found a groupon and I've really wanted to try this place for a while. We both got the stuff it burger, it was so good, and cooked just the way I asked. We also got Iowa state fair pretzels, those were so good, I will order take out from this place again just for these, and the cheese was awesome too. We also got a Candy Land sundae, this also was really good. I got it for take out so they gave me all of the toppings to build after my meal, it was really convenient. Not to mention they gave us so much toppings! I will absolutely come back.

I like the interior with all the dark wood. There are plenty of TV's to watch sports as you enjoy a good burger and a craft beer. The Stuff It!burger is really good. It comes with bacon and oozes with cheddar cheese. We also tried the Hot Mamasita but it was a little too salty and sloppy to enjoy. The fries are pretty good and they have a decent craft beer selection that includes my favorites from Stone and Solemn Oath. They do suffer a bit with consistency regarding service and how the burgers are cooked.

Classy salad, while a great salad, was served in a stainless steel kitchen bowl. Tacky. Would like a veggie stick option instead of fries. Pot roast could have been more tender

"Ale house" is generous when Shock Top is listed under "craft beer." The food is about what you would expect from such an establishment-ok, didn't make me sick, alleviated hunger. The service was a war crime. Nothing short of a mortar shot could get the attention of the bartender. In fact, we could not flag down two bartenders who were clearly more interested making their friends Jaeger Bombs rather than the more elaborate pouring of a craft Allagash White. Two stars: received food, food was edible, had beer. Would give an additional half star had we received the advertised sauces with our appetizer. Maybe the bartenders' friends received them? Fake edit: I am sitting here almost begging for another beer. Bartender is making something that looks like a Tequila Sunrise for his friends.

Wow. If I could give no stars I would. Well maybe I'm biased because I just finished getting completely sick (use your imagination) after eating lunch there today. I'll count the star toward their decor because it's a nice enough looking space. I ordered a burger medium, it came out RARE...I should have sent it back to be cooked more but didn't. My friend ordered salmon, it came out with a mystery sauce on it that wasn't disclosed in the menu. With dietary restrictions she opted to send it back and just share chicken with her son. Both her veggies and my red potatoes had been cooked in oil that tasted way off. Our waitress looked completely blank (she wasn't the sharpest in general) when we explained the problem. No manager to be seen at anytime during this meal (to address issues or otherwise). BTW you have to click at the bottom to "see all reviews" to get to the bad ones for this place. Odd. Who are they paying off? Way overpriced for what they're sending out of the kitchen, mediocre service. In this jinxed location they'll be lucky to last til summer. Mark my words.

Sunday night with nothing do, so we decided to visit Jimmy B's. We had heard good reviews from friends so I was excited to try it. Immediately when we walked in, I thought, the interior was definitely not what I was expecting. Chic design, large, flashy bar and televisions everywhere. The seating looked much fancier than the bar atmosphere I was expecting. I was reverted back to my original thoughts when I glanced at the menu. Meat, meat and more meat. Don't get me wrong, I love a burger or chicken sandwich as much as the next guy, but holy cow. Don't come here expecting to eat light. Every sandwich, burger and dish on the menu looked extremely heavy. Though at $11 for a burger, I'd expect that. Since I didn't want a pot roast, tilapia, burger or sirloin...wait, what? One more shot at the menu: as a friend said, "They don't know what they want to be." Are they fine dining or a bar? Hopefully they'll figure it out and revise their menu because as it stands, the place just looks confused. I'm a sucker for good french onion soup, so I ordered that and a flatbread. The server recommended the Mediterranean so I went with it. The soup was...HOT. And not temperature hot. SPICY hot. I LOVE spicy food, but spicy french onion soup? So odd. My guess was an abundance of black pepper but holy weird. The cheese and croutons were great, as was everything about this, with the exception of all that spice. Next came entrees. Everyone I was with had burgers and absolutely loved them. My flatbread on the other hand? No wonder it was hidden on the side of the menu! It was a cracker-thin flatbread that had been baked with no toppings, taken out of the oven, and sprinkled with a few tomatoes, kalamata olives, feta cheese and grilled onions. No sauce. If I lifted up a piece of flatbread, everything fell off, since it wasn't baked together. SO disappointing! With the abundance of places around here, I don't think I'd come back unless hubby was craving another hamburger with a hot dog on it (gross).

I had a very disappointing experience at this place. The service was extremely poor. I didn't even get a spoon for my processed chili which contained a ton of raw onions. Yuck! The flatbread burger was a grease pit pizza look alike smothered with nasty cheese. We finished our drinks and sat for a while waiting for our waiter to return. Needless to say, we won't be returning to this establishment.

Pleasantly surprised. Good service good food and nice atmosphere. Had the stuff burger and a Kentucky bourbon ale. Excellent bugger and a tasty beer. Will definitely be coming back. Bar looks like a great place to catch a game with friends. Found a Groupon deal that makes it sweeter.

This place is no good and it's mainly because of the cooks they don't know what there doing because none speak English. Went there once and the food was not good at all. I told the manager the burger wasn't cooked and asked him to let the cook know because some one can get sick because of it and a cook named Jaime Sanchez came out and gave me the dirties look and didn't say a word to me. So unprofessional. The only good thing there was the person that was bartending , Anastasia she was great and friendly but everyone one else there seem like they hated there job and wanted out. Never going back again.

Food was less than average. Burger had no flavor till the middle which was like biting into a bottle of cheap seasoning from the bargain bin at the local dollar store. Home fries tasted instant. Regular French fries were very good. Great beer selection, and staff was very courteous. Good place to have a beer, bad place to have a burger. If you want a crappy burger save your money and head for Burger King.

Went during lunch the other day.. good service...and good food. I had the corned beef... which was not overly fatty and came with good rye bread. The only problem was the waitress didn't know what Munster Cheese was.. so she brought it with Swiss.. I still ate it.. and it was good..

The hubby and I really enjoyed Jimmy B's! They had a sweet groupon that we picked up, which was 2 beers & 2 burgers for $18! The groupon included all of the beers on the list, which was pretty expansive for a local bar. All of the burgers were $10.95, and they had at least 10 varieties. Nice appetizer selection, too! All of our food was enjoyable, so we would definitely return here again, even if we aren't on a groupon!

2 x $10 burgers, kids mac and cheese to go. Sorry to say..this is not a $10 burger. The flavor in the burger was a little lack luster and so was the mac and cheese. The hostess was very friendly, but should have been a bit more informative (as in asking if this was my first time there, if i preferred anything...etc). Might consider going back if they get a nice beer selection.

We've wanted to try this place out since it doesn't seem as though anything in this location is able to stick it out! It was my birthday yesterday and I wanted to try something new so it seemed like the right time! I checked Yelp right as we were walking in the door... This made us analyze every ounce of what went in our mouths. That's not necessarily a bad thing! I wanted this review to be honest and truthful! Scanning the menu and comparing the prices to the products I must say that I felt that it was a bit overpriced for some of the items. ALL of their burgers are listed at $10.95. I've never been to a place that does this. I've been to amazing burger places that start with the simple basics at $8 and work up to the best stuff where you can get a burger with sauteed Foie Gras with a fancy cheese for $26. Now THAT is a burger! Needless to say we did not order a burger which I think made the boy hubby sad due to his love of them. Comparing a turkey burger to beef and selling the for the same price... That turkey burger better fresh, not frozen, with amazing toppings! We shared everything to save cashola for other parties this week due to the major holiday and my birthday. We got the baked french onion soup, margherita flatbread, and the pot roast grinder. Baked French Onion Soup - We'll give this 3 stars. The soup itself had really good flavor! We slurped it up with joy! The crouton though.. Where was our crouton?! They gave us a store bought dinner roll on the side... Um... That made the mozz cheese just drown into the soup. Boo! It cost $4.95... If they had done it right with the crouton and a quick melt under the salamander they could have charged $5.95 for this bowl easy! Margherita Flatbread - This gets 5 stars hands down! It had 9 square pieces that were at least 2"X2" maybe even 3"X3"... This is a meal in itself! The crust was crispy almost cracker like goodness with a nice pesto atop. There were sliced tomatoes (fresh would have been better, but there are no gardens on rooftops here) and a nice drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. At $6.95 I would have this for my dinner any day! Well done! Pot Roast Grinder - We'll give this 3 stars. The fries were a star here simple and fried in fresh oil. This seems like a dumb statement; however, several places lately seem to be conserving cash and keeping oil too long or burning it. YUCK. Fresh oil for fried goods is a MUST! These fries were downed with no pepper (which I use tons of) and no ketchup (which the boy is a dipper)! The sandwich had jarred roasted red peppers which just gave it a bad taste. Too bad really. The meat was a little too salty. Taking off the peppers actually made it taste better. Using fresh ingredients overall would help I believe. The sandwich was $9.95 which would be worth it if they put some fresh roasted red peppers on it. Finally, Service - 2.5 stars maybe... We sat at the bar. We do this a lot cuz bartenders are cool. This one wasn't. When she came to take our order she had a mouth full of food and talked to us... Uh... Yuck... We received our food less than 5 minutes after we received our apps! So our sandwich and fries worked on getting cold while we hurried to each the soup & flatbread. Sheesh... They clearly have some work to do if they want to survive in this jinxed location!

Did not have any food, this review is only on the ambiance of the bar area. My man and I had a few drinks here, some draft some mixed. I understand the beer list changes often, though, call me a snob, I don't like reading the list off printer paper. Go get some card stock. The decor is that of the failed previous owners, not much has changed. It looks upscale inside even though the name, JimmyB's, is reminiscent of a dive bar. I think with a little fine tuning, this restaurant/bar can find its own legs. I will return and try the food, but right now, my visit left me yearning for a more upscale experience. If they want to be more "divey" then the owners should make the decor more so that the patrons will 'sit for hours." Right now, I get the burn 'em and turn 'em vibe. Like every other restaurant or a Boston Blackies.

My wife and I were looking for a reasonably priced delicious meal on a monday evening. A Groupon click later we were brought to Jimmy's. $18 for two burgers and two beers, cant go wrong. We arrived and instantly noticed the patio area that is roof covered and the patio area itself has glass surrounding it. Perfect for a brisk windy summer evening. 3 TVs to watch the game outside as well. So we enter the bar, notice the specials on the board, and were greeted right away. Classy place, very clean, very relaxing atmosphere inside. We asked for patio seating and were given a table. Cushions on the patio chairs are always a plus, not an option many places have. The music was not loud at all and was a pleasant mix. I never had to scream to talk and I didnt hear other people talking either. Our server Kate greeted us and was simply outstanding the entire time. Gave recommendations, was very friendly and positive and always apologized when she thought she was taking too long to return even though she totally wasnt. There were three parties in the patio area including us, each party had its own different server. You just dont see that anymore, was a nice change. It meant everyone got the service they deserved. The servers are also easy on the eyes as well. Very cute, very polite, and very prompt servers. Another bonus was we were not looked at negatively for being a party with a groupon. The beer menu has a nice variety you would expect from an ale house or craft beer specialty restaurant. IPAs, Lagers, Pilsners, Ciders, Witbiers. Every palate was covered. 16oz of course. And the beer menu changes often too. The local breweries were all there Three Floyds, Solemn Oath, Two Brothers, Revolution, etc. The food menu is as good as it gets for a bar. Very reasonably priced appetizers (less than $10), great selection of burgers ($10 and up), and entrees as well. I had the traditional burger and my wife had the "stuff it" burger. The burgers were huge!! And cooked absolutely perfect. Medium well was not charred what so ever and just a slight pink center, like I said just perfect. Tasted amazing! The groupon was $18. Our actual bill would have been $38. So I can see how cost can shy a few people away but the service and selection as well as the quality of the food and overall atmosphere make that $38 seem well worth it. Give this place a try for a date night, a night out with the guys/gals , or for a nice family meal. Hope it sticks around longer than most restaurants on route 59 have.

Went here for dinner last night (Saturday). I will not be returning. Here is why: We ordered calamari as an appetizer, and waited as the food got cold for silverware. When the waitress came to take our food orders, I asked for silverware. She said, "oh okay." No harm no foul at this point. But she never came back with silverware. We resorted to eating the greasy and disappointing ringlets with our fingers. I ordered the brisket (more on this later). My mom ordered a burger, and sweet potato fries at the additional cost per the recommendation of the waitress. When the food came, still no silverware. Our waitress had vanished. We asked the guy who brought the food for silverware. I sat there and stared at the fatty brisket slathered in sauce, and thought, "definitely can't do this without a fork and knife." Time passes. Still no silverware. My mom goes inside (we were on the patio), and sees the waitress laughing with some other employees, and says, "Hi, could we please get some silverware." The waitress laughs at her. Pretty funny, right? Still no silverware. My mom has to locate where silverware is, and bring it to our table. We begin to eat our "food." The sweet potato fries tasted stale and burnt. When our waitress finally found it convenient to come over to our table, we told her that the fries were inedible. Without any apology, she asked if my mom wanted anything else instead. The menus had been taken, so my mom said, "I would like the chips you guys have here." I didn't think it was possible, but after some time she returned with potato slathered in more grease than the calamari contained. At this point, she had already eaten her passable minus burger, and we were ready to go. Unfortunately, our waitress didn't return for what seemed like forever. When she came back, we asked for the check, and told her that the grease potato bits were as inedible as the sweet potato fries. She stood with a vacant yet baffled expression on her face, then left, and without any urgency returned with our check. As in, we sat there for a long time, and waited for the check. When she brought it, I asked if we could see the manager. I figured that this would be a useless endeavor, and I was correct. When the manager came out, he said, "she said you ordered the *insert name of appetizer*." My mom explained she said chips. Those were clearly not "chips." To which he responded, "well there must have been a misunderstanding. She told me you didn't like the sweet potato fries, and ordered the *insert name of appetizer." My mom said, "I said chips, these aren't chips. These are inedible." I decided to add that she never came back after unloading the grease potatoes, and hurried away, leaving us to stare at said "chips." Also, if the manager had been told by the waitress of our "disenchantment," it would have been nice for one of them, either the manager or the waitress to follow-up to see that something less stomach turning had been provided as a substitute. The manager said, "well she's just human. We all make mistakes." Uhh... That's not a great tagline for running a business. I don't that one fits under the umbrella of "the customer is always right." Oh, and the brisket was more fat than brisket. This disgusting fact is cleverly masked with a thick coating of tasteless sauce. No one took away our plates either. They could at least serve decent food, if they can't provide decent service. The food is cooked in bad oil. The manager was correct about one thing, though. We all make mistakes; our mistake was going to this restaurant. We will not make this mistake again.

Meh I have had better is really a good way to explain this place. The beer selection is a bit limited. I see a lot of people complaining about the price but most are 5-7 dollars which seems fairly normal for the area. When we came here we had a small party of 6. We started out with Nachos- good, not special but not bad (hard to make bad nachos) Tummy teasers- burned tenderloin (we all swore it was not tenderloin) with a meat tenderizer taste. The chicken was ok. The onion strings are soaked in grease. This was awful. Guac and chips- Also just awful. old avocados, and old chips. I had a blue burger which was supposed to be medium rare and sadly came out well done;. Overall it was just bland burger, and bland fries. One friend had the stuffed burger. well done. 1. It was not stuffed. 2. It came out RARE. My other friend tried the ribeye steak. He ordered it Medium rare but it came out very rare (not a problem for him because he does not mind a rare steak) Just not worth it.

Of all the sports bars in the rt 59 corridor (and there are a lot of them) I think this is the nicest. We ate outside on the patio and it was great, several tv's (we watch the hawks game) and a nice fire pit with couches around it. The food was good, I had a turkey burger and it wasn't dry like most of them are. She had a chicken sandwich which she loved. They have a decent beer menu and prices were competitive with all the other spots around! Next time I'm looking for a Sports Bar I'm coming back here.

Stopped in for a late lunch. Our server Sean was helpful and efficient. He helped me select one of the 20 beers they have on tap. We had the pot roast dinner and the meatloaf dinner. Both were just OK. Nothing special here.

Good food, friendly bartender but they need to clean the place. Dirty bar, crumbs on floor and dusty/dirty tables on patio. Ewwww

Sat at the bar for 10 minutes without anyone taking an order. Left and went somewhere else.

We had the blue cheese burger and chicken BLT. We each ordered a beer and split a french onion soup. The soup was decent I give it 4 stars. The burgers were just average at best. The food came quick however the fries were ice cold. Total came out to 42 bucks. Kind of a rip off. Probably won't becoming here again. Rather go to hooters.

We went last week super excited to try this place out...What a disappointment! Where to start, first time here and no one was inside restaurant everyone on the patio(which was very nice). Someone brought their non -service dog which wouldn't stop barking or whining. Took long time to get water, pop and two beers. Took over an hour to get our food and when questioned they forgot to turn our order in. After 90 min the Food finally came after we told them we had to leave (it was after 9pm and still had no food). Once the food came we had to ask several times for silverware and napkins, never brought salt pepper etc.. Manager never came out to apologize or check on us or other patrons. When she was found, nothing was done and she basically disappeared and requested others to cover for her and our waitress. Our checks were dumped on the table by another waiter and we never saw our original waitress or the manager again. Hamburgers were good but chips were fried in bad oil with no seasoning not even salt! Fries were good. May try again but bad management will bring the place down as they are not focused on their customers.

Got the Caesar salad and loved it! The service was good, and I loved that they had good beer on tap. Over all a great experience :)

Not gonna lie... We've lived in this area a looooong time, and have watched that location flip from disaster-to-disaster-to-disaster. We were a bit skeptical to give this "Jimmy-B's" place a try, but what's the harm in a 15th chance, right? It still has the "Boston Blackies" vibe (which isn't bad, I actually like that style). And the fireplace greeting is still uber cozy, yet sorta Chicago-lounge-ish. We grabbed a table at the bar, and I'll give it to our waiter... He came back like 4-5 times before we could even nail down which IPA(s) and which appetizer we wanted, the menu selection (of both drinks and eats) is so huge and great! Throughout the meal, we tried a few brews, which were all crisp and fresh. We picked the "Cabo" egg rolls for an app and they were alright. They are similar to the Chili's southwestern whatnots, but have slightly more flavor and presentation. And for lunch, the hubs and I both ordered the Buffalo Bleu Cheese burgers (mine well with no lettuce/his medium rare with everything). The burgers were juicy and a tad flavorful, but not worth $11 a piece (on top of everything else). When it comes down to it, Jimmy-B's is just a-ok. I've had 10xs better at Red Robin for $3 less. Not to mention that the JB waitresses are in the most ridiculous skirt-outfits. It's like they're Hooters-wannabies-in-training?!? Sad, just sad. Would I go back again? Nah... They just need to bull-doze down this bad luck location, and start fresh. Maybe THAT will wipe the curse clean.

My wife and I decided to give this place a try and wow it was amazing. I looked at the other reviews and I don't know where they went. Try the stuffit burger and then tell me you think this place sucks. If it sucked I'd let you know but this place is fantastic. The beer selection is a bit limited but the beers they had were pretty darn good.

Got to say I have been waiting to try this place for a while... And now I'm disappointed. While I'm not much of a craft beer drinker, I wasn't impressed with the selection, for the ones they had on tap, but I can't hold that against them as I'm not much of a beer drinker... Service was good and attentive, however the 20 mins for a house salad was too long. For a place known for their burgers, they were far sub-par. All burgers on the menu had ingredients from other sandwiches... If I wanted a different sandwich I would order it, not put it on a burger. When I asked what the house fries were, they said sliced reds with rosemary and olive oil... Thinking I was actually going to get fried red fries, I was excited, but what came out was "roasted" potatoes. Don't call them fries if you aren't going to French fry them! My burger was ordered medium rare and came out well done with no pink inside... Their lack of attention to detail was apparent in all their good items. BBQ sauce was good, as well as the chipotle mayo, however the bowls they gave me were more than enough for the sides I asked for. My wife ordered the nachos for her entree to go with her salad that took too long to get to her. The nachos were horrible. Grocery bag chips with cheap cheddar cheese and beef. We would have made better ones at home. Nothing good about them. The only reason this place gets two stars is because of the decor and the service was attentive, however it was pretty empty, and I figured out it was the food that's the reason behind the empty dining area. I will not be spending another fine here, as there are much better burger places around. I would opt for a chilis or red robin before I would go to Jimmy B's for a burger again.

I was really excited when something new finally moved into this location. It has been many things and I was hoping it would be something great. I went to lunch here during the week with my father-in-law and we were both underwhelmed. I like the decor, but my FIL told me it is the same decor from when it was Boston Blackies (not sure if this is true). I guess he was hoping for the new owners to make it their own and was disappointed. There were also only two other tables with people at them, which I understand could happen because it was 12pm on a Wednesday, but I was expecting it to be a little more full for lunch. The food was meh. I had a chicken sandwich with a side salad and my FIL also had a chicken sandwich with fries. He said the fries were delicious, but the sandwich was just okay. I also thought it took a very long time for the food to come out. There were only a handful of tables and it took more than 20 minutes for our food to be served. Also, I know that it was slow in there and our server was probably bored, but we literally only had our entrees for five minutes before she came over and asked us if we wanted the dessert menu. It was just sort of odd since I wasn't even half way done with my meal. I wasn't even thinking about having dessert yet. Overall, I wouldn't say its horrible, but I will probably never go back here because there are other pub style places in the area with better food.

I have eaten here twice and I am not sure why this place gets slammed so bad on yelp. I have had the Greek pork chops both times which have been fantastic. We also had the jalapeño poppers which were home made and very good. My wife had burgers both times which she enjoyed as well.

Variety of beer and great burgers! I'm not a hamburger fan and I love their burgers! Have tried over half of the burger menu and they are all great! We always get a beer flight too to discover new favorites.

Ok had the Ruben burger little salty for my taste and very very dry! My son had their mini burgers and they where burnt beyond burnt, my wife had their grinder and she said it was pretty good and she would get it again, she did say she would not get the fries again(a little to much for her) Over all I think this good be a good place in time, need to train the staff a little more, and chef needs to know how to cook a burger so that it is not dried out. We will give the place a try again in time to see if they improve, I hope they do.

Overall a positive experience. In attempt number two to find a good brew pub we stumbled onto JimmyBs. Beer selection was great, service was good, and food was good. But prices were higher than expected for an atmosphere and menu in a higher tier. I had a smothered burger and the wife had the bacon cheddar burger. Neither of us were wowed with our dinner and dessert was the least favorite - the unique twist on the apple crumble and banana bread pudding were so-so. Our server was friendly and helpful; the highlight of the evening. It could have been just an off night for our family so we plan on coming back again and giving it another shot; just not certain when.

Was excited about a new place opening up in the fox valley area off rt 59 so we stopped in tonight with some friends. Decent beer selection, but that's about it. Menu is overpriced for starters. Everything was a couple dollars higher than other places in the area. 11 bucks for a burger....c'mon; it's an ale house and not a very good one at that! I tried the penne pasta in vodka sauce with chicken. One word - tasteless. Not a hint of vodka sauce in there. Very bland and unsatisfying. Friend had a burger that was also unimpressive. Dried out and on a small plate with a few fries on the side...again, not good for 11 bucks! We did order a pile of nachos that was decent. How can you screw up nachos though? Mini burgers from the kids menu were dried out and taste free as well. Waitress didn't know what kind of beer they had in bottles. Had to go and get me a small piece of paper to show me that listed the beers. Strange. The other beer menu was on a piece of paper that looked like it was used for her notes, not for customers. Also strange. Very cheap presentation. We were stuck in the back room due to the size of our party, it was called "the green room". Try to stay out of this area if possible - chairs are cheap and it's very noisy back there. Hopefully this place can get it together or it will be gone like the other 2 or 3 places that have died there in the last few years!

Big fan of the burger I ate and would go back for another but our service was so bad I don't know if I will return. The server must had hated kids.

Great food. Brisket sandwich was very tasty and worth the price. Beers, however, while a great selection, overpriced. $7 for 14oz draft???? I'll think twice before returning. Nevins down the road - $5 for 16oz!

We've been here a few times for lunch and dinner. Today my husband had the Steve's Way burger and loved it! My husband knows his burgers! I had a bite and it was very good! I had the Reuben, just what I was in the mood for! It was perfect. The decor is very nice inside and the menu has a lot of variety and good prices. We would come back.

Great spot for casual dinner and/or to watch a game. Finally, a pub in the Aurora-Naperville area that knows how to do pub food well. We have gone a few times now and have always been happy with the appetizers, burgers, and sandwiches. (Big thumbs up for the Iowa State Fair Pretzels and the Stuff It Burger!). Service is great - fast, efficient, no one trying to be your phony best friend. Nice bar and patio with plenty of large TVs.

YUCK! The food was so disappointing. We shared some bland burgers, and cold fries. I got to try a piece of a chewy steak appetizer. The service was nonexistence, which was surprising since they had 10 people in the place. I do not want to come back!

Stopped by last night for a quick meal. I had a cheeseburger which was better than anything served along the rt. 59 corridor. There was nothing extraordinary about this spot, just a solid bar dining experience. They don't have a beer or drink menu yet since they just opened.

The beer list was small but contained some good beers. The food was not good at all. The steak I had and the burger my wife had were cook too long and were rubbery. We asked for medium. They both were well done. I would not go back.

My family was here on mother's day. We were put all the way in the back. They didn't turn the lights on for us, Didn't even ask if we wanted the TV on. On top of that our service was really slow. The waitress was great but the kitchen help SUCKED!! An individual in my party received her meal and her burger was frozen and not cooked properly. I tell ya it was bad. Then someone else in my party ordered a hamburger and it was raw. Where the hell to the damn cooks come from!!!! You think they would have taken something off the check for bad food. We spent $160.00 The manager should of given us a discount. Or even coupons to even attempt to come back. Oh yes I forgot to mention we waited almost 2 hours for our food.. If I was ordering a deep dish pizza I can understand but two damn hours. This restaurant sucked and I will not go back

I have been here 4 times now. Each time that I have been here it has been horribly slow. I usually sit at the bar and hope for maybe an ounce of conversation from one of the female bartenders, but then I notice they are nowhere in site and texting on their phones instead of building regulars....sad thing is that this a great looking establishment and the food is decent but not great. I ordered the turkey burger because I was told that they make their own. Not the case. It was obviously a frozen jenny-O turkey patty ( I could tell because I eat them at home and the meat was all white with no seasoning whatsoever) ..another time I then tried the cheeseburger flatbread which was bland and had too much cheese and no flavor. I want to come back and give them another chance but I hate being the only person at the bar everytime I come here.....they should teach their bar girls how to talk to people and make them feel noticed.......the bartender Saija (sp) told me about 5 times how tired and hung over she was becauase she stayed out until 5 am with her bf, as if I really care. ........I hate when people complain to me while they are supposed to be taking care of others. It' s very amateur.

Went on a Saturday Night around 730 and the place was packed. Waited 15 minutes which wasn't bad. The hostesses were all very nice and polite. The food was just alright. We got the pretzel appetizer and the pretzels came out very greasy, almost soaked on the outside with grease?.... The cheese dip was nothing to write home about either. I forget the name of the burger I got, but it had mozzarella, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, and peppers on it. I would give the burger 4 out of 5 stars, cooked medium well as I asked, and the mozzarella cheese was really good on it. I didn't care for the "home fries" that I got. They are red potatoes with garlic and something else on them, they were way too greasy. The beer selection was a bit small and pricey, but I enjoyed the beers that I got. Overall I enjoyed my meal, there was just nothing that set this place apart from the many other Burger places in the area.

Boston Blackeys was an amazing eating establishment that once occupied this space. This place is not. Granted, I understand they just opened their doors and are tweaking all aspects of their business, but let's be real here for a moment. The overpriced, underseasoned food sucks in plain English. It just does. My partner and I both ordered specialty burgers. We are more than willing to pay good money for a decent burger; sadly, we were served a mound of unseasoned meat on a bun. That is all. The fries must have been swimming in an inch of salt. I couldn't bare to stomach them after a few nibbles. We also ordered a spinach dip that was cooked unevenly. There were hot and cold spots kind of like a haunted house. The waitress was dressed like she belonged across the street at Hooters. Perhaps that is all part of their dining concept? I'm just so confused. Speaking of concepts, I'm not sure the owners know what their concept is. The decor was a cross between a really upscale pub (I was impressed with the flooring and seating) and a sports bar. However, no family wants to listen to blaring TVs in the dining area...just sayin. I have dined at Juicy O's (right down the street) and was shocked when I heard the same family owns this dump. Needless to say, I won't be back unless I want several pounds of overpriced ground beef served with a mound of salt...I mean French fries.

My friend and I stopped by for lunch yesterday. Looks like this restaurant is geared towards "sports" with all of the tv's in the back room. The bar was empty on a Saturday afternoon, we will come back to try out martini specials on Saturday. $7 for well and $9 for call Martinis. We decided to eat by the fireplace in a booth, nice natural light in that room. While walking in, we noticed the outdoor area to the left. The outdoor area looks decent and would be nice gathering place in the summer months..Regarding the food, I ordered a "stuff it" burger with cheddar and bacon and it was outstanding, noting this burger was a recommendation from our server, good choice. French fries were average. My friend ordered a Greek salad, the lemon dressing was homemade and requested on the side. This was served with a tasty warm roll. We were both very pleased with our choices. The server was good, he did not rush us ( we also had a bottle of wine) and was in eye range if we needed him. I will be taking my husband here to try the "stuff it" burger...it was a very nice surprise at this ale house and worth the trip after a morning of shopping.

Yum, yum, yum. Good atmosphere and food. Went there for a double date with my bf and his brother and brother's gf. I had the Cajun pasta and it sure was spicy, but yummy; my boyfriend had the brisket and I tried a piece -delicious. Ideal for families and couples or dates.

I came in for lunch yesterday with my Mom and do not think I will be back anytime soon. Ordered 2 waters at first and they both tasted like plastic. It was disgusting. Not sure if it was the water or the glasses but we had to ask for new waters. Also a suggestion to the owners would be to have a drink menu on the tables considering it is an ALE house. We had to ask our waitress to bring us the beer menu and she handed us a crumpled piece of paper (not even laminated)....I just think if your draft beers/ales are the focus of your restaurant maybe a little more effort towards that aspect would be a good idea... As far as the food goes....my mom got the Chicago Way burger and I had the Black Bean veggie burger....they were just ok..nothing special. For $10.95 for a burger I was expecting much better. I also substituted the fries for their seasonal vegetables and once again was greeted with an overwhelming "plastic" taste...soo gross!! They were also saturated in melted butter. Prices are way too high...laminate and leave drink menus at each table (like every other restaurant)....and fix whatever is causing the plastic taste!!!

I could only give this place 2 stars because pretty much everything my table ordered was at best bland. Our server was great- friendly, attentive, not intrusive but I actually felt bad for her after tasting what the kitchen forced her to bring to our table. The atmosphere and decor was fine too, dark wood, lots of well placed big screen tvs, adequate space between tables so it didn't feel too crowded or cluttered. However, whatever was going on in the kitchen was just sad. Burgers- bland, dry and tasteless when they should be juicy or at least moist and flavorful. Fish filets- soggy. Breaded fish should, ideally, be crisp on the outside and flake easily on the inside. These were soggy all the way through. Roast beef po'boy- dry and flavorless House salad- uninspired is the only way to describe it. At least the lettuce (iceberg) wasn't soggy. Fries- o'reida without the flavor. All in all this was a big disappointment. Fyi owner: Small glasses and rectangle plates can't make bland, flavorless poorly executed food taste good. Hopefully some changes will be made in the kitchen to save this place or it won't last til spring.

My mom and I decided to try this place out while my car was getting looked at. Very impressed! We had a chicken and steak bite appetizer and two burgers All great but the smoked taste of the burgers was phenomenal! Our server Alex was fantastic! Very friendly and great service!

Came to Jimmy B's for the first time , and I am certain to say that I won't be coming back. The server was extremely pleasant , but her knowledge of the menu was poor. We ordered chips , salsa and guacamole to start and it was terrible . The chips were old and just warmed up , so it tasted like old grease , the guacamole was also old and to better the color the chef just simply added a lot of lime juice to it , and the salsa was very warm . We complaint after the first bit to the server and she was able to take it off out bill . I order the stuff it burger cooked Medium and I got a tasteless burger cooked Well. My girlfriend order the traditional burger Medium Rare and it was cooked nicely and the flavor was good .

We came here on a Sunday right around noon. Service was really great, quick to come over and beers were delivered quickly. Food was awesome- I ordered pot roast grinder and hubby ordered stuff it burger. Beers on the pricey side- each of our beers were over $8 per pour. Will come again but be more mindful of beer pricing before ordering.

I absolutely loved Jimmy B's. The ambience was casual yet modern, making it a great place to meet up with friends and have a cold one. Better than your average bar food, the brisket sandwich I had was clearly homemade and my dining partner's burger was described as fantastic. The service was attentive and friendly yet not intrusive. Bathrooms were clean and modern. Overall, I would definitely come back.

Hubs and I decided to have a simple dinner, so we thought of trying the new Jimmy B's restaurant. Sadly, it was an unpleasant experience. We both ordered our meals, cooked the same way. Mine came out fine, his was way undercooked and bloody! They made a different one, but he had to wait while I was eating mine and even the second try was still undercooked. The waitresses are not too attentive, I had to ask for a soda refill twice. It felt as if she was ignoring us after we sent the food back. The prices are also a little high. The typical simple entree runs from $13.99 to $16.99, I consider it to be too steep for an ale house. The menu was not too extensive on dinner entrees either, mostly just burgers. And if you are going to share the staff with the other restaurant (Juicy O), make sure that the staff knows about the food and ingredients of the restaurant that they are working at. Over all, the restaurant needs more time to get settled in and definitely needs to lower their prices for an ale house.

Jimmy B's should be renamed Sybill's for being the most confused restaurant ever. Based on the decor and ambiance, we weren't sure what this place was trying to be... ale house, sports bar, dance club, family restaurant or a hot spot for the Real Housewives of Naperville to congregate. And speaking of Real Housewives, it was clear a wife of one the owners had a hand in decorating this place. From blinged out light covers and exotic granite everywhere yet careful thought put into incorporate some of the original elements left behind from the old Bakers Square. Oh and birch trees. We are still scratching our heads on that one. One of several hostesses sat us in the bar area where "forever 21" fitting room music blared over the Bulls game on one of the many flat screens. Watching the screen or reading the closed captioning was great! Hearing the game not so much. It seems that lots of wait staff were standing around everywhere looking lost and bored in their Foot Locker attire. Draft beer selection was better than expected but no prices on the menu which we knew meant way overpriced. And we were not disappointed! I chose Solemn Oath Snaggletooth Bandana for a whopping $8.50. Do yourself a favor and just go to Solem Oath. Better experience and less expensive! Food was just ok. A little on the greasy side. We played it safe and had burgers. My S.O. had the rueben burger. He enjoyed the rueben part but the burger itself was pretty standard really (paraphrasing Dr. Evil). I had a plain old burger and the meat was tasteless. Steve's potatoes were tasty, just overly greasy and salty. We won't go back here. If you want an ale house experience drive the extra few miles to Two Brothers Round House.

So we went on Friday night 11-1-2013. Host staff did not say one word to us they all 3 of them were completely uninviting. So we went to the bar. Sat down and were completely surprised at the prices on the menu. Ordered a flat bread and 3 drinks. Flat bread was not great, taste was very bland. Decided to pay and go to Hooters. As we were leaving no one said anything to us ie: Thank you, Have a Good Evening and actually the midget hostess smirked at us. We sell over 100 homes a year in the Naperville area and we won't suggest or return. You will be closed in 90 Days GOOD LUCK

Had the Stuff It burger. Very good. I like the casual atmosphere and the server was attentive - not pushy.

I'm torn on Jimmy B's. Given my rather offputting review of Juicy-O's, (which I had to go back and reread to actually understand how much I didn't like the place) I thought I was going to not really enjoy this place since they have the same owners. I wanted to like it, but I think I already knew what I was getting myself into. I really wanted to find another place like Stonewood Ale House in Schaumburg, one of my favorite ale houses. I thought that just maybe this could do it, but again, I was skeptical. The look and feel of the place is pretty cool. It looks new and pretty comfy. The service wasn't anything to write home about but I didn't have too much of a problem. As for the food and drink, I ordered a flight of beer, which I'm happy that they offer since I love trying new beers. Unfortunately for them though, their beer selection is very limited for an ale house. I think there was maybe 15 beers to chose from and then the usual domestic bottles and drafts. Thankfully the flights were on special and I got 16 oz for about $6, but I cringe of paying more than that on any other day. My wife ordered a vodka drink and it came out way too sweet. She had to send it back to add much more vodka (glad that didn't show up on the bill). Their burgers were decent, not bad, but nothing too special. I did like the variety of burgers to choose from. I had their chorizo burger and the wife had the stuffed (which to our surpise wasn't an actual stuffed burger). The server really pushed the cajun potatoes which were really nothing special. I didnt even eat them. So, ups and downs for this place. It's ok. I might go back at some point but with all the competition nearby, I don't think it will be soon.

It's seen a lot of restaurants come and go in Naperville. It's the one place where you can hit a different restaurant every day of the year and never hit the same place twice. We have noticed that this building went from Boston Blackies, The Island Grill and now to Jimmy B's Ale House - which I believe is a spin off of Juicy O's. We went there on a Wednesday night - I'm going to tell you right now....save your money. Firstly it's over priced - Nearly $11 for the burger that was dry, tasteless and mediocre. The fries we're dried out and obviously had been sitting around for a while. We ordered water, because with the price of the "bar food" we knew that the price for booze would be un reasonable too. The place was about 20% full, service was super slow and our waiter forgot to order our appetizer----which was a blessing in disguise because the burgers we ordered were extremely disappointing. At the conclusion of our meal - I told the server that the meal was mediocre and was disappointing and they we wouldn't be back. He apologized and gave us the bill. Not even an escalation to a manager - nothing. I have lived in Naperville for nearly 25 years - I've seen a lot of joints come and go. Trust me, I'm great at calling the ones that won't make it. I give this place 6 months. Folks in Naperville are busy!!! Food quality and service are not negotiable!! I only give this place 6 months because Christmas will bring in the "tourists". Your better to save your money and go to Portillo's. Trust me it's better. For a place in Naperville to make it - it has to be good food and reasonable - right out of the gate. Folks here won't give it a second chance. We ordered the turkey burger - FROZEN not fresh - and the Mexican Burger. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!

Not bad at all. Just a little sluggish on the service. We had the meatloaf special which was good until you ate a bite if the burgers, then he ML was just Blah. Inside is nice as it was from the previous owners, but it felt like the place was just missing something...good burgers...will be back since its so close to work and it looks like it has some lunch specials...hopefully it makes it thru til summer, always liked the patio area. Worth a trip if you're a burger lover!

Lunch at 11:30 Saturday....15 minutes for waitress to show up. Ordered onions soups and burgers. With four tables in the restaurant it took twenty minutes for the soup to arrive. Soup was so salty it was not edible! Waitress showed up 15 minutes later and we sent soup back. Burgers ordered medium came out we'll done. Had to hunt down waitress for soda refills. Bill was delivered with soups charged in full. Had to flag down a bus boy to find waitress. Told her we had a spoon of soup and we shouldn't be charged....her reply....I will see what I can do! Bad Food...Bad Service!

Went for lunch today with 2 other people...One ordered the "Harold's Delevan Fish Fry, one ordered the "Made Right Pot Roast, and the third order was for a grilled Salmon. The Fish was raw with the batter still visibly uncooked, Pot Roast was some thinly sliced meat that was hard to chew...I will give props to the Salmon...We sent the raw fish and pot roast back and ordered a "special Lent Fried Shrimp" dish and a Bacon/Cheese burger. The shrimp came out almost burnt ( a retaliation for our complaint?)...and the burger was gritty, greasy, and gross , Even though it seemed to clearly be the kitchens fault on the poor quality of food..our server was clearly not trained properly to deal with complaints. No Manager in site to check on our satisfaction or apologize for inferior food. I give this place less than 6 months..Whenever a manager is not circulating the dining room to insure customer satisfaction the establishment is doomed.

This place is BRUTAL!!!!! They offered a free nacho for dinning customers. Went in for drinks at the bar, which came out to 18 dollars for a beer and a wine. Presented the coupon when asked what we wanted to order and said we would like a free nacho offered by the coupon. Server said that would work and brought them out. If I was the owner, I would not want to promote this dog crap on a plate. Awful. My wife and I decided to leave and finish dinner somewhere else. Nachos were put on the bill when we went to pay. The manager would not honor the coupon and was extremely rude and treated me like I was an ***hole. I will be spreading the word about this establishment and will go out of my way to keep people in the community from going here.

Thought we'd try this new place! We ordered a burger smothered with onions, peppers and mushrooms and the "hot mamasita". Both were ordered medium rare. Burgers were dry, and medium at best, and tasteless. Homemade chips were bland and tasteless. Disappointing at best. We will not return.

(3)Tom B.

Just ate the "Stuff It" burger with garlic mayo!! Whoa! Super yum-o!! Fun atmosphere, overall clean, and clean bathrooms too! Totally recommend this place!

Really good food, I love the pear Apple cider, ribs where the licious and just falling off the bone, good and fast service, key lime pie was delicious

(2)Elaine D.

Second time here. Had a great lunch with my kids. A bit pricy but the burgers are big and taste excellent. Fries are ok nothing special.

(3)James L.

(5)Jillian H.
(3)Lynn R.
Classy salad, while a great salad, was served in a stainless steel kitchen bowl. Tacky. Would like a veggie stick option instead of fries. Pot roast could have been more tender
(3)Laura B.
(2)Susanne D.

(2)Ruth M.
(2)Paul M.
(4)Fabian P.
(1)Mark G.
This place was absolutely miserable. I got lemons with my tequila. Extra blue cheese when I asked for ranch. The cheese on my nachos was frozen. Do not come. Here
(1)Kirk M.
Sweet atmosphere. Multiple tv's for viewing. Super draft beer list. Game day bottle beer specials. Food was great, quick friendly service. Well done Jimmy-B's
(5)Tara R.
(1)Mike K.
Went during lunch the other day.. good service...and good food. I had the corned beef... which was not overly fatty and came with good rye bread. The only problem was the waitress didn't know what Munster Cheese was.. so she brought it with Swiss.. I still ate it.. and it was good..
(4)Katie L.
(4)Rick C.

(4)Tim K.
Stopped in for a late lunch. Our server Sean was helpful and efficient. He helped me select one of the 20 beers they have on tap. We had the pot roast dinner and the meatloaf dinner. Both were just OK. Nothing special here.
(3)Regina H.
This is our 3rd or 4th time here. Food & service have been good. Would recommend it to friends.
(4)Patrick F.
Good food, friendly bartender but they need to clean the place. Dirty bar, crumbs on floor and dusty/dirty tables on patio. Ewwww
(3)Lew S.
Sat at the bar for 10 minutes without anyone taking an order. Left and went somewhere else.
(1)John M.
(2)Kris H.

(2)Eppie E.
(5)Matt M.

(4)Rob P.

(3)Yvonne E.

(4)Brad T.
Good burger, good craft beers, and great service from our waitress Stephanie! I had the buffalo blue burger, buddy had Chicago style hot dog burger and both were great. Will definitely be back!
(5)Linda D.
(4)Christina B.
YUCK! The food was so disappointing. We shared some bland burgers, and cold fries. I got to try a piece of a chewy steak appetizer. The service was nonexistence, which was surprising since they had 10 people in the place. I do not want to come back!
(1)Karen Z.
Pleasantly surprised!!! Very nice atmosphere. Burgers are great! Went a bit late so seating was available right away. Our server was very informative with the menu and choices and the prices were reasonable. Definitely going back!
(5)Buck S.
Okay. I read all the negative comments and wonder if they were in the same brew pub I was? Warm pleasant staff and atmosphere with excellent brews and appetizers. We will be back soon for a dinner as the burgers look great!

2 stars for decor only, was there on Thur waiter ignored to mention about the special we ordered fish & burger and stuffed mushroom stuffing ws not eatable burger just ok and fish just cold I did not want to send it back who knows wt u get back, totally agree with other reviews very expansive for wt they serve I doubt if this place will survive longer then summer
(2)Brad M.
Stopped by last night for a quick meal. I had a cheeseburger which was better than anything served along the rt. 59 corridor. There was nothing extraordinary about this spot, just a solid bar dining experience. They don't have a beer or drink menu yet since they just opened.
(4)Matt D.
The beer list was small but contained some good beers. The food was not good at all. The steak I had and the burger my wife had were cook too long and were rubbery. We asked for medium. They both were well done. I would not go back.
(2)Darryl B.
Outstanding food and great atmosphere! BEST Burgers in Naperville hands down!
(5)Gigi B.

If you're looking for a gourmet burger and an extensive craft beer selection, do yourself a favor and ignore the trolls - this spot is a regular stop for us and it will continue to be.

(4)Chris D.

(1)Mike R.

(1)Jade U.
(1)Joe B.
(1)Sharon C.
