Do you know how many ice cream shops on Jefferson ave. between Washington st. and Main st. only? 4? 5? Well, one of reasons I usually don't wander here with my kids. I have close zero resistance against sweets especially the ice cream. Don't think my kids are any better than me. We went last night for my son's school's fund raising event. He ran to the counter and jumped up and down when he saw his teachers. Yes, definitely worth the money I paid for Mango and raspberry sorbet! The sorbet tasted great. The cashier was really nice too. It is a great stop after a nice dinner or a walk from the river side.

It's clean and prices are not unreasonable. They will brew coffee one cup at a time, which I'm sure a die-hard aficionado would be all for, but I wasn't impressed. Yes, it was a good cup of coffee. It was not worth the $2.5 I paid for it. Starbucks three stores down will sell me same cup of coffee for $1.6 and it's typically ready already.

Their popcorn is very expensive and the rainbow one is not good at all.

Expensively addicting!

The popcorn... YUMMY! I walked by this place on the way to dinner with my boyfriend and knew I had to stop in afterward to get something. The chocolate covered popcorn with milk chocolate and white chocolate was amazing... I wish I would have gotten a bigger bag! And to top it off, this place is open late! Can't wait to give myself an excuse to go back.

The ice cream is delicious (Peppermint Bark!!!), but I think the story here is the Popcorn Palace side of the store. Peanut butter kettle corn? YUM! Mix it with the chocolate covered kettle corn, and smuggle it into the movies. Seriously. And the cheesy caramel is as addictive as heroin (I haven't tried heroin yet... but I'm guessing). Make sure to sample first.

We're not big popcorn eaters, but we saw this place and tried some after having some Coldstone ice cream across the street. This place is next to the new sushi place (Jin 28). It was an OK small bag of regular popcorn for $3, but not extraordinarily fresh. They have a lot of flavors to pick from, for the real popcorn lovers.

Premium ice cream at premium prices, of course. But the customer service is great. The young guy who helped us was friendly, offered samples of anything we'd like to try and let us know he could answer any questions we had while we looked over all of the options. The store is large and clean and the ice cream selection is good, too, of course. They also have a couple of sorbets to choose from, plus sundaes and other usual suspects you'd find at any ice cream store. We didn't try any of the popcorn selection, but quite frankly looking around that night, there was none to be found. But the most important and best part of the visit was the efficiency of the transaction when we used a Groupon to make our purchase. Even before ordering, I made sure to let the guy helping us know we were going to be using a Groupon so there'd be no surprises at the register. Because anyone who's used a Groupon at a retailer before knows EVERY business deals with them differently and some businesses aren't really prepared or act downright put out when you try to redeem. But he wasn't flustered or bothered at all. I handed him my phone, he got the information he needed, handed it back, I paid the remaining balance with a credit card and the whole transaction was smooth and quick. And the ice cream was delicious.

A really adorable place that sells both popcorn and ice-cream! The place smells so good with the popcorn frying inside a bowl of butter. What better than smelling fry butter? Haagen-Dos ice-cream is in here and right next to the pop corn shop. There's a reason they make the best ice-cream in the world right? It's so creamy, fatty and delicious. The only downfall is that they don't have waffle bowls. I want waffle bowls to share with my friend but that wasn't gonna happen which is so sad :( Tip: Parking around here is right and difficult. But there's a parking lot near by it.

Don't let the umlaut fool you. Hagen Dasz is the ultimate American ice cream parlor. This is the place your mother took you to as a reward for trying on multiple pairs of "sensible" shoes as you prepared for the upcoming school year. Maybe you stopped by an establishment like this on a group date, longer ago than you care to remember. Ice cream parlors are part of our collective memory. HD does basic flavors very well: vanilla, chocolate, strawberry. I don't remember if they carry Rum Raisin. It's certainly possible. There is also popcorn for sale in the front part of the store, but I have never tried it. I only eat popcorn while watching movies, some of which I'm sure have featured ice cream parlors.

Delicious Ice Cream and an overall enjoyable experience!! Was passing through downtown Naperville and decided to stop in because I always had a sweet tooth for Haagen Daz! I ordered a waffle cone with midnight cookies and cream ice cream, which was absolutely delectable!! They also have more than a dozen other favors to choose from. The girl at the counter was a pleasure as well!! Would definitely stop in again when in the area!!

This is a frequent stop for my family. I'd probably call it out as too pricey. But the quality is great and I'm always wielding a groupon. I've tried many of the specialty popcorn they offer. I love the cinnamon popcorn when it's available as well as the Oreo. The last time I went, I ordered a Banana Split Dazzler. I have no idea what I was thinking. Yes, banana splits are amazing. But this thing was easily enough ice cream to provide dessert for 4-7 people. The ingredients were fine. There was just SO much. I barely made it thru the top layer before I had to tap out. It sat in my freezer for 3 days before I could finally admit defeat. So be warned. The Dazzlers are an extreme eating challenge and should probably be shared. They only loose a star because a lot of times there'll only be one person working who has to take care of the popcorn area and the ice cream area. So the wait can get a little long. Also, finding parking close by is a beast.

I am here almost every weekend during the summer and it is AMAZING. I always tell myself ill try something new but always end up getting the "Belgium Chocolate" LOVE their service as well. Only problem is how much it smell like popcorn! So i get my ice cream quickly and walk out.

They have sorbet, and it is delicious!

this is the best place to get a shake. if you have never had a haagen dazs shake then you haven't had a shake. you might be saying it cant be that much different then what ever your favorite place is to get a shake but you would be wrong. they are a little expensive but im sure you have heard expression you get what you pay for. Its a vacation tradition if there's one around where ever we are we will be there. the restaurant was very clean and they were offering samples outside. there's always a lot of variety you can choose from. you don't have to get just shakes, even though you know im recommending a shake. this particular one is located on the strip walking distance from the River walk. what a better way to end a date or a day at the pool then with ice cream.

I stopped in at this location to pick up some popcorn from the Popcorn Palace part of the store for a coworker. I'm from Naperville and had never heard of a place called "Popcorn Palace," so you can imagine my surprise when my co-worker was freaking out about how good the popcorn is there. The employee that helped me let me try the Cheesy Ranch, Double Chocolate, and Chicago Mix popcorn. Cheesy Ranch was a little too overwhelming for my taste (which is surprising bc I LOVE both ranch and cheese), the Chicago Mix was great (what I ended up buying), and I might have to say that the Double Chocolate was my favorite. The only problem is that this popcorn is SUPER expensive. I'd go in for a try or two, maybe splurge on a small bag, but only every so often.

I came up to the counter to find 2 or 3 young employees talking and helping other customers. When I finally got the attention of one of the employees, she asked, "Have you been helped?" and I said, "No." I asked her what were the prices of the one scoop of ice cream in a bowl or container vs. the waffle cone. She said, "The cone is 99 cents extra." I said, "Nevermind. Just put in a cup." I picked out Java Chip for my flavor. She comes back with the smallest cup aka "kiddie scoop" with half-melted ice cream, rang it up and said, "That will be $3.85." ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? I said, "$3.85 for this?" This was so small, I ate it in 2 bites. She says, "Yes!" I asked, well could you at least give me a full scoop?" Then this other guy steps in and says, "All of our ice cream is weighed and we can only give 4 ounces." Then he takes the cup and weighs it and says, "Yep. 4 ounces. Sorry, I can't give you any more." So let me get this straight. They are essentially charging $1.00 per ounce of ice cream. That is outrageous. Then, to add insult to injury, I saw 3 little girls order the exact same "kiddie cup" size and each one was a nice size, rounded scoop. Not once did he weigh them. It was not the half-melted soupy crap they gave me. They are wrong for this. Absolutely wrong. I should have refused this because there is no way you can justify charging someone $4.00 for 2 bites of half-melted ice cream. And your employers are not customer friendly. Maybe to children, but not to adults who are trying to be budget conscious. They could have at least said, "Ma'am, for a dollar more, you can get 2 scoops" or at least made sure the "kiddie cup" was filled to a full rounded scoop. Never again.

They have some awesome flavors! Their peanut butter drizzle is to die for. So is their cheesy ranch. We actually travel 30 minutes just to eat the popcorn here. You can also see them make the popcorn, so you know that it's always fresh. Yum!

Way over priced for what you get.

A recent addtion to Jefferson Street is a hybrid store... part Popcorn Palace, part Haagen-Dazs ice cream store, and part coffee bar serving Intelligentsia coffee. So, we walked in because the big front window has the popcorn-making equipment, and we saw a lady making popcorn sample cups, so we had to pop in (pun intended) to try it. OMG, one taste of the caramel corn and I was S-O-L-D! Not only was it caramely, but it was buttery too! And, wow, the staff was so friendly and adorably sweet (like the caramel corn). Anyway... on the bottom of the receipt was a coupon for 50% an espresso-based drink, so we tried a Cafe Americano, and it was fantastic. It is rare that I find such an obvious 5-star business... a solid 5 stars for the product, and 5-stars for the service.

The best cream in town.

We are big popcorn fans and discovered this place on an afternoon perusing around the streets of downtown Naperville. We love how there are a variety of flavors and we are generally fans of salty rather than sweet popcorn. We like how we can pick two flavors for the same bag. Typically get the snack size and mix together the jalapeno flavor for a slight kick (for me) and the cheese ranch flavor (for the husband). Nice compatible combination. We also like how the popcorn is light and crunchy....a nice change from our typically heavier (but oh-so-delicious too) Garret's popcorn in Chicago. Different types and both yummy :)

I'm partial to Haagen Dazs ice cream. I realize I can get it out of a pint, which is why I don't come here much. But I enjoy their dazzlers and sundaes--just a little twist on what you can have at home.

This place has our favorite flavor - Belgian Double Chocolate! If you love chocolate, this is the perfect ice-cream! We have tried to find a better tasting ice-cream at several other places, including Oberweis, Kilwins, etc, but have yet to find one that comes close. Customer service is also great. The staff is super friendly and the store manager, Carrie, always finds the time to answer all our questions. The price is reasonable and they always offer quart sizes if you want to save on quantity. For several reasons, we visit this place at least once a week and it is our favorite ice-cream place!

Great dessert and coffee destination. They have many flavors of Haagen Dazs which you can sample before buying. But the most delicious is their gourmet popcorn which is made fresh on-premises and often served warm. Clean and comfortable restaurant.

What can I say, the ice cream sells itself. Service was kind of slow and the workers were lacking any sense of urgency to help out people in the line, but all in all, a good place. About 5 minutes after walking out of the store, my hubby did a double take... we paid how much for 3 kid cones? 12 bucks... is it worth it? Sure, I don't dabble in the caloric yumminess of ice cream so when I do, it might as well be the best kind right? Their cones are yummy and have a nice sweetness to them that enhances the ice cream taste, so that's a plus!
