I just called to place a 35 sandwich order. They did not want to drive 4mins for delivery. (Which we routinely get delivery all the time from the same location) I was stunned, beyond disbelief that they would not want our business. They owner of this business would cringe... i was planning on ordering this qty for the rest of the week... crazy... Quiznos was happy to oblige. ...

I came to this Jimmy johns looking for a veggie sandwich. I was very rudely treated by some high school or college guys working there. No smiles. So I asked for my veggie sandwhich and thought I would eat it quickly since I had to be somewhere in a short amount of time. I get home and there was my pitiful sandwich. Came with hard bread, the tiniest amount of BROWN lettice, two ends of a tomato, and a hot pepper that I never ordered. So being that this was questionable I checked out more and found there was a piece of bacon inside. Are you serious? I asked for a veggie, I don't eat meat. I had to cut tomatos and put more in to this bread with just mayo, pretty much. The whole point was because I had to be somewhere quickly and had no time to make any at home. Turns out I paid kids for making my own sandwhich anyhow. The worst sandwhich I have had from any Jimmy Johns locations. They don't keep up with santiation and have really grimy people that work there. I have never typed a Yelp review but with everyone else also having bad experiences I needed to. Thanks for taking my money and not giving me anything in return. I will be sure not to return to this location or any others.

The Jimmy Johns located at: 684 S Lake St, Mundelein, IL Is Horrible beyond belief. Stay away. No quality control. No responsible parties that work there. ABSOLUTELY NO ONE THERE TAKES ANY PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITY. Don't order a Vito ever. Why you ask ... because you will drive all the way home to find it has no meat (yes it's an italian sandwich and it's supposed to have meat). Don't bother giving them a 2nd chance and try them again ... because you know what comes next ............... yes you do!!! Yup! Ordered another Vito ....... drove all the way home and guess what ............................................... "no meat". Don't even give bother with the old holiday spirit everybody makes mistakes bs and give em one more chance! You are just too darned smart! Yup ... Yup ... Yup ... Yup ... you guessed right again! Ordered another Vito. Got home and it had no meat. Now here is the part you should worry about if you are partaking of their food. Quality control usually infers that a company takes some responsibility to offer fresh food, kept properly cold or hot as the case may be ... so they don't Poison you. However, when this sort uncompromising incompetency happens this often you should be questioning whether or not someone entrusted to make your sandwich washed his hands after using the bathroom, or sneezed and wiped his nose with his hands and then made your sandwich, or stepped out to throw the garbage out and grabbed the garbage can and came back to make your sandwich. I'll finish with this ... after each time this particular Jimmy Johns (at 684 S Lake St, Mundelein, IL) messed up my order I did indeed call them. The first time the hispanic man on the phone pretended not to speak very much english and kept repeating yes we make Vito's. After a few minutes I asked for someone else. After explaining to this guy that I ordered and paid for a Vito ... all I received was a lettuce and onion sandwich. He kept repeating yes yes yes it has lettuce and tomato on it. The 2nd time I called to complain and indicated it was the 2nd time this happened ... the hispanic man "accidently" hung up on me. After fumes came out of my ears I wrote it up to the obvious state of the world .... that is the "Give me your money, but don't expect me to do anything much". Today 12/24/12 - I stopped by picked up a Vito sandwich as I was going to munch on it while wrapping presents for Christmas tomorrow. I got all the way home and had yet another lettuce and tomato sandwich with no meat. Called the Vito's (on 684 S Lake St, Mundelein, IL) and the hispanic man answered and I told him I ordered a Vito and for the 3rd time it had no meat, only lettuce and tomato. Guess what's next .... The hispanic man kept saying to me yes yes yes it has lettuce and tomato. Again I indicated they screwed up my order again ... and he kept saying yes yes it has lettuce & tomato. Also, he mentioned that they are closed. HEY JIMMY JOHNS ... IS THIS IS YOUR IDEA OF CUSTOMER SERVICE ... OR SHOULD I SAY JUST PLAIN "SERVICE"? FYI ... I wholeheartedly encourage you to contact their Corporate headquarters (2212 Fox Drive Champaign, IL 61820. Phone 217-356-9900) if you too experience this LUDICROUS behavior at a place that calls itself a business! MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OTHERS :)

My son went with a group of his friends there for lunch. He brought his lunch in and was told he had to go sit in his car and couldn't be in there. I went in not too long ago and was treated very rudely by the manager - never going back.......

Honestly, I don't have a problem with the food at Jimmy John's. It's standard sandwich franchise fare and pretty decent overall. What I have issue with is the delivery service at this particular store. "Subs so fast you'll freak" they say, however when it takes the amount of time to deliver a sandwich that it does to deliver a pizza my starving tummy can't help but scream "false advertisement"! About a year ago I ordered a sandwich to be delivered to my work, 1.3 miles away from said Jimmy John's. I will admit, I didn't realize it was a customer appreciation day and trying to order a delivery was probably not the greatest decision after I found out but when my sandwich failed to appear 2 1/2 hours later I ended up just calling them back to cancel the order in frustration and vowed never to eat at that store again. That was until today, when I wanted to treat myself and my brother to a sandwich on our shortened lunch break and decided to allow the local store a chance to redeem itself. After first checking to make sure I didn't stumble upon yet another appreciation day I put in my order and waited patiently. After 45 minutes since placing my order my patience on my super fast sub wore out and I called the store. During that time the delivery driver finally appeared and they told me that it was "just really busy"...apparently that means 45 minutes to put together a Slim #1 and a Slim #2 and deliver it 1.3 miles away is perfectly acceptable despite promoting a super fast delivery time. The only conclusion I can draw from both of these experiences is Jimmy John's is full of jerky liars. Not cool Jimmy John's Mundelein.

A lot of places to choose from right in this area. But Jimmy Johns wins out a lot of the time. Good subs. I haven't had any issues. The staff is reserved, but does their job just fine. Great subs.
