Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

While the pizza is tasty, we have had a string of bad experiences both within the restaurant and with takeout orders. The staff always seems overwhelmed regardless of how busy the place is. Our last dine-in experience resulted in a three hour dinner because our waitress repeatedly disappeared and straight-up forgot one of our orders even after bringing everyone else's food. Carry-out orders are frequently wrong and most recently we ended up arriving home to discover our calzones were completely raw, requiring another 30 minutes in the oven at 400*F to finish cooking. At the risk of sounding like an old fart, this place needs a manager that is paying attention to the high school kids that are running it. I don't really expect them to care; I certainly didn't when I was 16 and working in a restaurant. It's a shame, though. There isn't much variety in Morton and when the stars align Firehouse is really pretty good. We'd probably order from here much more often if the service and the quality wasn't such a crapshoot.

This is probably the best pizza in Central Illinois. We eat here weekly during the lunch buffet and always have a great experience. Service is top notch. Their Chicago style deep dish pizza is as good as most places in the city and I'm talking about Lou's and Gio's. If you like sweet food get the sweet (regular) sauce. If you like regular sauce get the traditional as it is what I always order. You can't get much better pizza in this area. I have never had any issues with dining in or carry out. Service is always great. Anyway if you're in the area it's definitely worth the visit so stop by and give it a shot!

This place has good pizza. The sauce and bread are unique. We typically get the Gluten free pizza these days and it is very good. Not many places offer gluten free. The regular pizza is very good as well. Highly recommend.

I enjoy the Firehouse Pizza franchise in East Peoria. I've been to this one in Morton twice now and there's just something off about it, it doesn't have the same flavor. I wish I could be more specific. It's good pizza, but not great.

As a self prolcaimed Pizza afficionado who has eaten pizza everywhere, this is some of the better "mid-west" style pizza that I've had as we got it take out. Good ingredients and a pretty decent crust. Sauce is sweeter than most , but actually compliments the pizza. We had an all meat and and an all veggie to appease everyone and it did. They cut em in squares" Milwaukee or family style" and I like that for this type of pizza. It's not New York style or Chicago, but typical midwest style. A little bit pricey, but I don't know what the area is like as It was my first time to Morton. Would definately order again. Best way to judge pizza is the cold leftovers the next day................pretty gooooood!!! Slammer!!!

Cheeseburger pizza is really good!!! The lunch buffet is a great deal! Wish they had the buffet in the evening!

Firehouse pizza is a favorite for me and my family. While it is a chain, it feels more local than many of the tone pizza competitors in town. We always get carry out. The sauce is sweet, and it woks for the pizza. It is a little bit more expensive, but they usually have specials. We love the Hawaiian pizza and firehouse delight. They have several different specialities, so you should be able to find something you like. I have never eaten in. The dining room is small and maybe a little bit loud, but it seems like a great place to take a family. I recommend firehouse!

When you read all these 4-star or 5-star reviews, just keep in mind that most of the reviewers are from Morton, a town with very few options, so the expectations will be lower to begin with. As far as Firehouse Pizza goes, the Pizza was barely ok. It didn't have half of the toppings listed on the menu, and it tasted pretty plain like what you would get at Little Caesars for $7-8 even though the price tag on it was close to $20. When you order a pizza from this place, make sure that all the toppings listed on the menu are actually on the pizza. You don't want to pay for a pizza with 6 toppings just to get something with 2 toppings. The waiting staff were very friendly and welcoming, and that's the only reason this place gets a 2-star rating instead of a 1-star rating. I certainly won't be visiting again.
