In spite of living super close to this place, I've never been here until this past week, when I went for lunch. Their lunch specials are great - enough food and reasonably priced. The pad thai was just okay, but the crab rangoon and holy basil beef were delicious. I also love that they offer brown rice for a small surcharge - not all Asian restaurants do that. I would definitely come here again and try some of their other dishes.

I abandoned Sri Siam a couple years ago after a negative customer service experience. A few months ago my husband got take out from Sri Siam. When he came home he told me they had new owners but same chef - he convinced me to give it another try. Their menu is great - all the standards are there but some more unique dishes are making their way into the menu which is refreshing. Very good service - friendly staff who try to please every customer. My favorite dishes so far: noodle soup, chive dumplings, tom kha soup, noodle soup, cashew chicken, and pineapple fried rice. I have to mention noodle soup twice because it so easily overlooked but it is oh so good on a cold winter night.

WHAT A FIND! It's so easy to miss this place - I've driven past this strip mall daily for 2 years and just noticed it a few weeks ago. I'm always looking for a good Thai place in the suburbs but I've always been disappointed...until today! The pad see ewe here is perfectly seasoned, slightly peppery, a little salty, not too heavy on the soy sauce flavor. The restaurant actually lets you PICK what type of broccoli you want (regular or Chinese) which is a first for me. The yellow curry here is probably one of the best curry dishes I've had in this area. They have pretty amazing lunch specials: for ~$6.50 you get a crispy egg roll (vegetarian) - very light, not too oily, not too thick or too skinny - and if you dine in you get your choice of soup but if you get it to go you get cucumber salad. Portions are generous! Definitely at least 2 meals for me (maybe only 1 for the husband) and everything is really tasty. Unfortunately the poor lady who works here seems to be by herself? She's really sweet and friendly, but when there are more than 2-3 customers, it can take awhile to get your order in. YUM. I will be back for more :)

The staff was very friendly and the food was great. Everyone in our party of 10 enjoyed the meal. I especially enjoyed the wide rice noodles that came with my dinner. The waitress also brought us two free plates of a delicious fried banana dessert. I would recommend definitely recommend Sri Siam to friends!

The veggie eggrolls were great. Sweet and sour chicken was okay but the sauce tasted a little bit like ketcup.

I stopped in Sri Siam for lunch & I'll definitely stop in again! The restaurant is located in a strip mall and the decor was simple. A few booths (with cute, colorful cushions on the wooden benches) lined the windows & small tables were scattered around the rest of the restaurant. The restaurant was not very busy and the manager (also the server) was very friendly and chatty (I was eating alone). The lunch menu was inexpensive, only $6.45 for an entree, soup, and egg roll. The egg roll was good - crisp & not too greasy. I didn't finish my soup, seeing as it was 90 degrees today and I wasn't confident that it wasn't chicken broth (I'm vegetarian). I ordered the basil dish with vegetables and tofu - delicious! Nice colors with red & green peppers, filled with basil and tofu, served in a great sauce. It was a little on the spicy side for me, I'll definitely order it mild next time. A nice sized order, I brought the leftovers home - yesss, a late-night snack! BOTTOM LINE: Good value & a very nice manager make this a great spot to stop for lunch or dinner.

Had the mongolian beef, BBQ Pork fried rice and egg rolls. The flavor was excellent. You could tell that the ingredients they use were high quality as the meat was lean and the vegis crisp and fresh tasting. Absolutely the best Thai in the area.

atmosphere: basic little asian in a strip mall. pleasant, small and not much of a decor, but clean and efficient food: the thai beef entry was a little americanized but good, the crab rangoon=tasty, the maseman curry= good although the chicken was either dried out or average quality price: very reasonable, $9 per dish on average with appetizers in the $4-6 range. Good food at a good price but nothing that will be remembered

Cleanest Thai restaurant I have ever been in. The Tom Yum Soup is hot and spicy as it should be. The mini eggrolls are more like spring rolls a favorite of my children. The Spicy Calamari Salad is my favorite dish on the menu. This is a once a week stop for lunch and every couple of weeks pick up for dinner for the family. Well Done! Great parking in a beautifully landscaped strip mall. Enjoy. Thanks for the good food and service. Dave

We got.the stuffed wing as an appetizer ( not the best) then got the pepper steak.meal.and holy basil entree ...both really good . There were a bunch of.other things I wanted to try.so definetly going back

UPDATED: This place has changed ownership and it's not as good as it used to be. I recently tried Sri Siam on 1/3/09 for the first time. Based on the past reviews I didn't know what to expect. I've been to the other local Thai restaurants and was looking for something different. It is small and cute with an all wood interior. The service was good but the food was awesome! I tried the Spicy Ground Chicken with Basil, Green Chicken Curry and Shrimp Fried Rice. Wow! What flavor!! I generally use Basil Chicken and the curries as a benchmark and they both received high ratings IMHO. I also like to try Thai Iced Coffee and it was very good. Just like Thailand. I spoke with the waitress to learn more about their business. She told me that they just changed management and that was their first day open. I gave them five stars considering it was their first day open, the place looked like it was run well and the food was on spot! Next time I go back I'll be trying their noodles. Alan and Marissa's reviews appear to have been similar experiences to mine. Sue didn't say what she didn't like about the food. That made me curious to check her other reviews. She gave Rosded Too 5 stars. When I asked other people about Rosded, they told me it's not as good as the original Rosded in the city. So this leads me to believe that Sue is either a friend, an employee or the owner of Rosded. If you are looking for fresh Thai food with superb flavor, try Sri Siam and see for yourself. That's my yelp and I'm sticking to it!

My husband and young son have dined here multiple times as well as picked up and had food delivered. We love Thai food and have eaten at many establishments in Chicago. Sri Siam is top-notch and I highly recommend it. My favorite Thai meal is Pad See Ewe and Sri Siam's dish is terrific. Other places offer lifeless noodles or salty sauce: Sri Siam's is just perfect. My husband has enjoyed their curry dishes and the Holy Basil Chicken, which is now his favorite. We have also ordered their soups, which are plentiful and flavorful. Also the fried rices are much better than any standard fried rice. The BBQ Pork Fried rice is what we like to get for our son. With delivery and carry-out orders of $15 or more they give a choice of free appetizer. We have eaten their potstickers (our son's favorite) and their crab rangoon, which I normally don't care for, but I enjoyed theirs. Special dishes: the Curry Puff appetizer is out of this world. We get it every time. Also the Fried Banana dessert (!!) melts in your mouth. Definitely check this place out. Also it's a mom-and-pop kinda place and they recognize us now, which is endearing.

Finally went and ate there after my sad pick-up service. It was delicious. Ended up getting Masaman Curry, and it was great. Not too thick, not too thin, and great flavor. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area for some solid Thai.

At first glance, this little thai restaurant looks so ghetto from the outside being located in a dull looking strip center. But aren't the BEST and most genuine thai places hole-in-the-walls anyways!! This place is really genuine and very very tasty. Portions are great and the prices are very reasonable! (each dish i get is about $6-8 each) Great place to get a casual bite or just get carry out. (no really! this place is a great carry out option if you have company over). Fast service, usually. MM MMM MMMMM - Pad See Ewe - I love getting this flat noodle dish with beef. At bad thai places they can make this taste like Panda Express - but Sri Siam cooks the noodles just right and with the right amount of seasoning to make you want to eat this whole dish yourself! - Pad Woon Sen - I love Ruby of Siam's version and I love this place's. Lots of nicely stir fried veggies and egg mixed into a yummily seasoned vermicelli mix. I like selecting chicken as the meat for this dish. - Curries - I love all of them. They can be a bit more waterly than other places and usually you have to ask for more rice on the side, but the FLAVOR is very good. I like all the curries but this past time I had the Masamun Curry and they make it very nicely here. Tastes well with chicken. -Pad Thai - your standard thai dish is...yes...very good here..and I don't even usually like Pad Thai! - Basic Fried Rice - I had this dish for the first time this past week - Wow! This is probably one of the best thai fried rices I've experienced. I put the yummpy factor of this dish up there with Joy Yee's Pineapple Chicken Shrimp Fried Rice. Another good selection with chicken.

I am always looking for a good Thai restaurant and I've found a new favorite at Sri Siam. So far, I have tried 3 of my favorite Thai dishes, Panang curry (w/ beef), Pad Thai, and Stir Fried Garlic Pepper (w/ chicken) and all three were delicious! There are many more items on their menu which I can't wait to try!

  • Jacob T.

Good thai food, definitely nothing super-special but they have a good lunch special during the week from 11-2 I think. Good service.... attentive. I had the spicy basil chicken which is refreshingly non-greasy.

I'm a BIG fan of all things Thai and I'm always on the lookout for a tasty local place to become a regular. Imagine my excitement when i stumbled on to the highly reviewed Sri Siam. Although I was not disappointed because the food was satisfying enough, I am not overjoyed and will not be going out of my way for Sri. Perhaps an eat in experience would be better-I picked up for lunch. Its worth a try if you live in the area, but don't go out of your way.

We went there last night on a thai craving and bummed that our usual place had closed. I ordered the shrimp curry and it was fantastic! The menu said it was spicy and it wasn't at all, but I believe that's somewhat typical of thai food (?) Good atmosphere, pleasant service.

Went to lunch with high hopes after reading the reviews. Don't know if they were having an off day, but what a great disappointment! Ordered seafood salad to start off--there was a teeny tiny wedge of iceberg lettuce (to justify its name as salad) surrounded by an assortment of overcooked imitation crab sticks, a few token pieces of baby scallops, mussels and 3-4 pieces of shrimp barely cooked. Very disappointing. Trying to decide if we should be praying not to feel the after-effects of the semi-raw shrimp or if it'd be best to get it out of the system. HB ordered lunch special--basil chicken. Nothing remarkable. Looked like they just scooped from the premade vat. Either the restaurant was too cold, or it must have been left out a bit because it was just starting to congeal. At least it was only $6.95, and included soup, choice of potsticker, eggroll, or crab rangoon. For my main course, I ordered panang shrimp curry with noodles. Somehow this must have thrown them in a tizzy because we ended up waiting at least 30 to 40 minutes to just get our food. Was it worth the wait? Sadly, no. Noodles were mushy (overcooked) and watering down the curry so it was more soup-like. At least it was fresher than the other dishes. If you're looking for great Thai in the area, this is NOT it. Gunmai Thai in Arlington Heights is so much better and fresher.

I highly recommend that you try this unassuming little restaurant located in a strip mall in not so trendy Morton Grove. The food is consistently excellent and extremely fresh and the portion sizes generous. They have a good sized menu and I haven't had a bad dish yet. The only drawback has been the wait time. They have a very small kitchen and staff. Last time I ordered food on a Saturday night, it took them nearly an hour to fill the order. I arrived at the time specified and had to wait an additional 35 minutes to get my food. They were very apologetic, but I would have preferred a better estimate of the time needed to prepare the food rather than spend thirty-five minutes waiting. Definitely worth the trip if you live anywhere in the area.

  • Grace L.

Yes, this is in a strip mall and hard to maneuver into the lot...but it's worth the trouble. If this review were of the old owners, it would easily be a five star. The food was of waaay better quality and better priced. It was sold a year or two ago and although the same chefs are still there, the portions are smaller and the service is less friendly. Dishes I like there: pad thai, spicy chicken salad, pad woonsen, masaman curry, three flavor snapper and basil fried rice. Definitely a good take out place and there is a lunch menu as well.

  • Gail L.

Very fresh and delicious. We go here about once a week. They are very accomodating and will change the recipes to suit your individual tastes. For example: I prefer my Pad Thai not too sweet and without egg and they are very willing to adjust the recipe. Try the Pineapple Fried Rice with chicken. It's enough for two meals and it has cashew nuts and lots of other goodies in it. Goes great with a side of delicious peanut sauce. The Panang Curries are all very good also. Friendly hostess/waitress/owner. Small restaurant, but clean and pleasant. Also, a good value.

I was being lazy and decided not to cook and Sri Siam was one of the only places in the area that delivered according to Yelp. I was able to order pretty easily and the order taker even mentioned that due to the amount of money that I was spending I could get a free appetizer. That was very nice since most of the time unless you mention that you have a coupon the order taker will not mention any specials. The food arrived very quickly which was a plus but I was highly disappointed when I open up the bag . They only included one small container of sweet and sour sauce and no soy sauce which I asked for. Also, the containers for the noodle dishes were very flimsy and cracked therefore causing the juices from the container to spill and burn my hand...not happy!!! For the food, the noodle dishes were a good value...the size and the price but the food was very bland...really needing the sauce the I asked for. Also, I felt that the crab rangoon was too expensive for the size and also the filling was too thin and runny. Overall, the food was o.k. and I would definitely try them again. Maybe this time, actually going to the restaurant and picking up my order versus delivery.

I have been here a couple time and have gotten delivery at least a dozen times. This joint does an outstanding Pad Kee Mao, one of the best I've ever had. They do not make it as spicy as other places around Chicago, so if you are into that, order it extra spicy. Friendly owner.

Dont go here thinking you are gonna get a 5 star experience but instead go for the Mom and Pop home made thai food that this place is built for. IT is great and tasty with a nice cool iced coffee that may be fattening but worth every sip. I had the pad-ki-maw with ground chicken and it was delicious. Fast and friendly service and worth a visit if your in the area.

My wife and I were looking for a new place to check out and we were in the mood for some really good Thai. Craving some wide noodles, peanut sauce, and some cucumber salad, a friend of ours recommended Sri Siam. It's a little farther than we normally drive for dinner, but we were getting sick of all the usual Thai places we go to. The food here was just awesome. We had two appetizers, Egg Rolls, and Fried Tofu. Both came to the table still very warm. The rolls were great and just enough sweet sauce to go around. The tofu was fried firm (the way it's supposed to be) without being greasy. My wife ordered he Pad See Ewe and it was flawless. Very savory and a generous portion with lots of tofu. I had the Pad Prik and ordered it extra spicy. Usually when I say extra spicy, I'm underwhelmed by what different places consider 'extra', but this definitely had a kick to it without being so hot I couldn't finish it. A huge helping of rice on the side went a long way. Ample amounts of tofu and bell peppers and lots of sauce to flavor the rice. I highly recommend this place. Plenty of vegetarian options (and they actually know what vegetarian means) and it's BYOB. So grab your favorite IPA and get a spicy dish. Can't wait to go back!

I found Sri Siam sort of by accident. I used Google's great service of being able to look up places through text messaging. I have loved everything I have ordered from here. There Thai Rolls are excellent. We have not eaten in the restaurant, only delivery. It has been slow and they have had problems finding the restaurant.

Delicious food!!!! My cousin and I stopped in and had crab Rangoon and Pad See Ew (or however it's spelled). Food was fresh and served hot. Great flavor . Waitress was nice and atmosphere was great. No complaints here. I will be back if in the area and in the mood for Thai.

3.5 stars this is a BYOB place with a liquor wine store next door. The chicken satay is very good as is the Penang curry and the scallion dumplings and their sauces. Frankly a very solid Thai place for what appears to be a small carry out place. The prices are also very reasonable for the dishes. The owner is the chef so he obviously is takes care of things

Dirty. The people who work here are lovely, and the food is good, but the sanitation is scary. Our table was sticky, the flowers in the vase were dead or dying, the floors are dirty. I spilled my drink, but the waitress just brought another glass instead of wiping the table. When I requested that she wipe the table, she brought out a totally filthy, soaking wet rag (I hope this was not used to wash dishes) and wiped it around the wet area of the table. It made me nauseous. She then left the table soaking wet from the rag. We used some napkins to dry the table, but none of us felt like finishing our food after that.

Located in a small strip mall I would not have ventured here except for some good YELP reviews. I had actually avoided the place for many years thinking it was just another dive, but am pleasantly surprised. The summer rolls are really fresh and tasty and made to order. I tried their Pad Prik King and was not impressed with the vegetable selection so will likely try another dish next time. The Pad See Ewe was good and their curry dishes are done well. This will be a regular Thai carry out jaunt for me!

Took over an hour and a half for the food to be delivered 2 miles from their location. Ordered one Pad Thai extra spicy & extra limes. Neither of those requests were acknowledged. Crab Rangoon was much smaller than any other place I've ordered the appetizer from. Generally disappointed. Won't be ordering from there again.

We ventured to this restaurant based upon my partner's endorsement and earlier visit with a friend who touted this as her favorite Thai place. Can anyone blame me for being skeptical? (No! Not a snob!) So our visit based upon such food hearsay started by turning into the small strip mall. A tiny restaurant with an 'open' sign. Still skeptical, I walked in with three others. . . . . . . We've made two trips so far. The most recent was a Friday evening. This last time with just my partner (whose touting is proving valuable) and me. Bottom line: This place is a small jewel of good Thai food. I had a memorable green curry with chicken. It's fun to have the smiling waitress sorting through the order to make sure of what's asked for. My partner went for 'very mild' and it was explained 'he likes spicy'. The green curry was pleasantly spiced and the combination of ingredients all seemed lively. The spice was just as I had hoped it would be. No doubt to make sure of consistency, my partner ordered pad woonsen (chicken). She liked it the first (I guess the second time if we count with her friend) and this second time. I had the Crab Rangoon appetizer. It was good, but more dough to cheese than I'd like. I should also add that Mr. Spice It Up (I've been to Thailand) was with us on our first visit. He was happy to be able to get his meal just as ordered. Very reasonable prices. Very friendly hostess and waitress. A jewel of Siam.

Absolutely fantastic Thai food. The Thai chef is the key and the flavors authentic. This humble little restaurant served up some high quality, well-prepared dishes. In fact people at the other tables around us were raving about their dishes too. I could tell they have a core of regulars. Sri Siam is my restaurant of choice when it comes to Thai food.

Friendly and adorable workers. A bit of language barrier though. We dropped our spoon to the sauce fried tofu and they were kind to bring over a new...fork!? Hm well not a spoon but the thought was kind I ordered a smoothie, the menu had at least 6 flavors, but i was told only avocado and banana is available, though avocado was not listed. It came in a mason jar, cute. I asked for the tapioca bubbles to make it like bubble tea, but didnt get any bubbles. Ordered pad see ew, menu says either broccoli or chinese broccoli, i asked for chinese broccoli, and my dish still came out with regular broccoli. The pad see ew was good, but it was not to die for. Fries tofu was good too, but honestly how can anything fried ever taste bad? The avocado smoothie was good, but missing the bubbles, which is fine i suppose probably better ofd without it. 4.95 for fried tofu, 8.95 for tofu pad see ee, 3.95 for the smoothie. No need to make a reservation if you come here on a weekend night.

My experience and comments are based on a delivery order I placed a couple weeks ago. I love that there is the option to order online via a link on yelp. Genius! On this night, I ordered pad see ewe with beef, cashew nut beef, and some sweet and sour soup made with coconut milk. The cashew nut entree comes with rice and mushrooms, pineapple, onion, zucchini, red bell pepper, carrots, and cashew nuts mixed into the protein, but there was literally one pineapple wedge and like 3 nuts. Imbalanced, anyone? My pad see ewe was okay, but it had a lingering acidic flavor that I attribute to the noodles or something not being very fresh. With the plethora of other Thai options along Waukegan and in very close proximity of Sri Siam, I won't be back.

Came here on a Friday night randomly. The gf and I felt like Thai food and this place had 4 stars so sounds good with me. Thought it would be full but came in around 7 and there was only 1 other table in. Hey, I'm fine with that, better service for me then. Ended up ordering the summer spring rolls, beef pad see ewe, and holy basil chicken along with a chai iced tea. That chai iced tea was bomb though. Summer spring rolls were alright right, I had much higher hopes for those though. The pad see ewe was pretty good. I added a little bit of my own spice to it to give it some kick. There were some big beef chunks but I thought it had a little too little beef. The holy basil chicken was alright, nothing crazy. To be honest, I couldn't really tell it was even chicken. It just reminded me of ground beef. Still good though, didn't taste bad or anything. Overall good place, located in a small strip mall. The lunch deals they have going though looked like a good price so I'd say try and make it for that.

Love this place! I've been ordering from here regularly and the wait staff is always very welcoming and friendly. They aren't stuck up at all. This place is true blue and they make a mean panang curry with tofu!

The portions at Sri Siam are huge! Both my friend and I who dined here had a ton left over. Service was super sweet & most of the time prompt. Pineapple Chicken Fried Rice - My buddy let me have his left overs, hurrah! Pretty good with fresh pieces of moist chicken. I'm not a big fried rice person but I found this one to be not overly greasy, fresh veggies in it, not too much soy sauce, just generally a good dish. Tofu Pad See Ewe - Tasty dish with quite a bit of long strips of tofu in it. It couldn't beat the Pad See Ewe at Jaded Thai but it was a solid meal fo sheezey. It's BYOB as most Thai places are and that makes me happy.

Great little family owned Thai restaurant I would highly recommend! I've dined in once and picked up carryout a few times and I've never been disappointed. The service when you dine in is great; everyone is very friendly and the food comes out quickly. So far I've tried the pad thai, one of the curries, basil fried rice with beef, spring rolls, and the holy basil stuffed calamari. My favorite dish so far is the basil fried rice which is very flavorful and has a nice kick to it without making your mouth feel like it's on fire. I plan on trying the pad see ewe the next time I go!

Family meal, dining in, on weekend afternoon, was a delightful experience! Initially hesitant since whole place was empty, husband & wife duo were very friendly and we shortly realized what a hidden gem this place is! We had a delicious meal especially their soup and Penang curry, which was accommodated to my being a vegetarian, which the husband owner was and was happy to do so! Good food served by good people...life's simple pleasures!

I love Sri Siam when I'm visiting my grandma (she likes it too) in Morton Grove. Here are the reasons why: Service: The server, Anna is always friendly and courteous. She offers water if you're waiting for a carry out order. She's the server, busser, cashier, order taker, and hostess so be patient people! Price: Their pricing is in line with other Thai places in the area. But the best deal is the lunch special. You get an appetizer, soup of the day, and an entree from the lunch menu for only $6.95. Food: Some Thai restaurants try to offer everything under the Thai food gamut and get it wrong. Sri Siam doesn't have the most expansive menu, but I appreciate it that. They know what they're good at making, and that's all they offer. I really like their noodles dishes and curry dishes. For noodles, Pad See Ewe and Pad Woon Sen are my favorites. For curry, I really like their green curry and Panang curry. Also, they offer brown rice as an option which is rare at Thai restaurants. ($1 for upgrade, but I don't mind). You may ask if I love everything here, why doesn't get 5 stars? Well, being Thai, no one makes better Thai food than my family so I don't ever give out 5 stars to Thai restaurant. Biased, I know! :)

Food here is soooo good! This is the first time we ordered from Sri Siam and we were not disappointed. Prices are very reasonable and food is just delicious.. full of flavor and spice! The holy basil chicken was bomb! I definitely recommend this place... can't wait to try more things from the menu!

A very underrated restaurant. Definitely family run with decent service when it is not too busy. Try the beef salad, wonton soup and Thai fried rice. They also have a great weekday lunch special.

Had lunch at Sri Siam by myself today. Tried yum woon sen, it's really good. Perfect amount of sourness and very flavorful. Tom yum w chicken was delicious too. Their Thai ice coffee is out of this world. Had one while having lunch and ordered another to go. This will be my place for Thai food for sure. Anna was really sweet and awesome.

Please actually put beef, chicken, shrimp etc in dishes The taste of your Thai food is weak Your service is slow. Your peanut sauce is too chunky. But you have the worst pad Thai I have ever had I have been to your restaurant three times in two years. It has become awful. Are u new owners it's one thing to be from Thailand another to own a restaurant. Blandest Thai food we Ever had

Their tom yum noodle soup is THE BEST! I dont know what it is but their pepper flakes are spicer than other thai places and i LOVE it. Pad thai is also amazing- not too sweet. My bf loves the Pad See Ew (wide noodle, non spicy). Price is totally reasonable and this is now my new go to thai restaurant.

Curry is above average but the Pad Prik King consisted of Chicken ginger and a headache. My wife got the sweet and sour chicken and didn't feel well either. We didn't finish dinner and will not be ordering from them again. The thing that really burned me was the whole dinner cost forty bucks.

This is probably my favorite little hole-in-the-wall around this area. Great great great, service with very consistent and authentic (Americanized authentic, but more authentic than most Thai places) food. It's a very small restaurant, but I've never had an issue getting a table. I believe most of their business is takeout. The location isn't great, and the parking lot can be a nightmare...but well worth it. You'll find me here at least twice a week for lunch.

Thought I would give it another try and I should've gone without eating. The Pad See Ewe is awful.....watery, peppery, very small amount of chicken and a strong burnt taste. The place is rather expensive for the small portions given. Skip this place.....you will be happier.

I had the kao soy dish and it was amazing! I was so sad when I took my last bite! The curry flavor was perfect. I also loved the combination of the soft and hard noodles... Very interesting! I don't even live in Morton Grove but I will definitely come back here again!

FANTASTIC! Family owned. Love their Pad Ba Mee dish & Panang Curry very flavorful. Spring rolls are great with their awesome plum dipping sauce. One of my favorite Thai restaurants around. The location always has easy parking.

Came here in the mood for thai food. Prices are pretty good, portions are fair. I got the stuffed dumplings which sounded amazing but was disappointing. The rubbery calamari was stuffed with a mixture of noodles and some type of chicken product?? Next I got the Jungle noodles. Being a big fan of chicken curried noodles there was no way this could disappoint me, I was wrong. Assuming i would get noodles in curry, I got a cup of curry, and a paper box of noodles. The curry was good but barley had chicken in it. But the noodles were jam packed in a white box, clumped and stuck together. It was difficult to get the noodles out of the box, and if i did it keep breaking apart from the cube form it became. Im sure dine in is different, but for takeout this is very disappointing. Either mix the noodles with the sauce, or add oil or some moisture so the noodles don't clump up. When a place that should specialize in noodles makes such a amateur mistake it worries me, PASS!

The service was great!!!! And the food was excellent. It came out so fast!!!! There's about 10 tables and it's very kozy. We had Panang Salmon, Pad Kee Mahu, Thai Ice Tea, and Tom Yum soup and it was all gooooood.

This used to be my favorite thai restaurant on the north side until my last visit. The food tasted fresh but not flavorful. Everything is just fair- seating, ambience and service.

My husband and I love the food from here. One of the best Thai restaurants I've eaten at. I definitely recommend their Holy Basil Chicken.

I L0VE this place! I used to come here with my family all the time and I just recently visited this place again. My friend was super duper hungry and we usually eat in the city but I decided to take her here. (She was very satisfied with her meal and her plate was partically EMPTY). I always order crab rangoon, fried tofu and pad thai with the chile sauce on the side. I come here often because the food here is very fresh, authentic and full of flavors. They offer a special lunch menu where it includes a choice of an apetizer and a full sized entree for around $7 which is a GREAT DEAL. Most people order out and there are rarely people that dine in.

This little well-kept secret is inside of a strip mall in Morton Grove. My favorite? Their bubble teas are yummy and their Thai iced tea even yummier. The portions are small, which is the only reason I gave it four stars and not five. It's a small place, but clean, decorative and intimate. Perfect place for a date.

The new management has done a nice change with the incandescent lights - no more fluorescents! Service was nice but they forgot to bring utensils a few times. Food was as good as before - mildly spicy tom kha kai, basil chicken with ground meat had a hit if spice at the end of each bite, crispy fried shrimp dumplings - (although they were triangle shaped and flat) and the very delicious shrimp in clay pot which we highly recommend.

ordered delivery...tried a bunch of things. Nothing was exceptional and I felt like they skimped on ingredients and even left some ingredients out. Chicken Satay: good peanut sauce...dry flat lifeless chicken skewers Chicken Green Curry: Pretty good except they left out the thai eggplant and there wasn't much chicken Beef Pad Kee Mao: Flavorful and yummy noodles but they once again left out an ingredient that was on the menu (mushrooms which happen to be my favorite part) and there wasn't much beef Crab Rangoon: Not very good..the dough was raw in some places and the filling was dry and seemed kinda old Taro Custard: Took a few bites and it was ok and then I took a bite that tasted like raw potato and garlic which turned me off It gets two stars because the delivery was quick and the food wasn't inedible and didn't make me sick.

Silly me forgot my lunch on Friday and was looking for something somewhat healthy that delivered. So, I turned to GrubHub, and begrudgingly ordered a delivery order ($15 minimum.) Edamame appetizer - figured it would be a good snack for later, and I was right. Chicken Satay - while the peanut sauce was perfect, the chicken was VERY dry and VERY bland. Pork Pad Se Ewe with chinese broccoli - I like that they offer the choice of chinese broccoli or regular, and that pork was an option. Unfortunately, the whole dish just fell a bit flat. While it was plentiful and not greasy like some other Thai joints can be, the flavor was just lacking. Parts of the egg were charred well past deliciousness, and the sauce didn't taste like pad se ewe should. Not sweet at all. I'll pass the next time, there are several other Thai places on GH I want to try.

I'm not a very big snob when it comes to Thai food but this was the greasiest Thai food I've ever eaten (been here twice.. thought i'd give it a second chance). The portion sizes are very small for the prices we paid. Not pleased.

I would have to say that, although this place looks like a hole in the wall, don't let the looks fool you. The food here is a tiny bit above average compared to other Thai restaurants in Chicago. We ordered the lunch specials, which included a soup of the day, an appetizer, and an entree. I asked if I would be able to substitute another soup other than the vegetable tofu they were serving, but our server said no. I was even willing to pay for the substitution... Anyways, I had the vegetable tofu soup, cucumber salad and green curry. I asked to have the green curry spicy and it was definitely spicy. It was not as green as you would assume a green curry would be, but the flavors were there. The cucumber salad tasted like cucumbers... The vegetable tofu soup was a tasty basic soup, but vegetarians should watch out since the broth is made from chicken. This is not listed on the menu and we would not have been sure if we hadn't asked the server. My sister ordered the soup, crab rangoons and beef pad thai. The crab rangoons were pretty good. I would order the crab rangoons again for sure. The pad thai was presented nicely but the taste was only average. It was a little too sweet. All in all, the food was slightly tastier than the average Thai restaurant, but nothing too special. Although our server wasn't able to help me substitute the soup with another one, she was friendly and very attentive. When we were done and were going out the door, all the workers thanked us for coming and bid us farewell...It was a good feeling! I would come back here to try a few other dishes.

Been here years ago and was disgusted with the food. Gave this place another try today after reading glowing reviews. Thought things might have changed. Nothing special. Wasn't as horrible as the last time but was disappointed. Ordered the Pad See Ew with beef and there was maybe 1 piece of beef in it. Lai Thai is hands down much better than this place.

The food I ordered for lunch in this place was disgusting. It consisted of several big leafs if iceberg lettuce and some nasty meat which resembled dog food. To add insult to injury, the portion size was very small. Oh, and I paid $10 for this fiasco! Well, I wanted to give it a try based on all the positive reviews and I was wrong. Will stick with Panera Bread for my lunch options going forward.

Been a while since I've been, but I used to stop here all of the time for lunch. The lunch special is fantastic. Fairly inexpensive and the items are all pretty good. My favorite dish has to be the Spicy Catfish. Really tasty dish. Crispy fried fish with a spicy sauce. Only negative on the food, it seems like it can be inconsistent. I assume they have a couple of people doing the cooking... one of them is quite obviously more skilled. The Pad Thai ranges from the best I've had in the area to above average. The curries can be really spicy one day, then mild the next. Catfish can be perfect and crispy one day, then a little soggier the next. Never bad, but it's always a bit disappointing when it's not what you know it can be. If it weren't for the inconsistency, it'd easily be a 5-star. Service is always fantastic. One of the waitresses in particular is always very friendly, sweet, and attentive. The guy behind the counter (who I believe does some of the cooking) is also very friendly. Very pleasant and always has a smile on his face.

A small quaint place that serves fantastic flavorful food! This is a sweet gem found in a strip mall. For starters we chose something different: Chive (rice) dumplings and Stuffed Chicken Wings. Both were great. For dinner we shared Yum Woonsen salad which had a variety of flavors that were quite tasty, Tom Yum Noodle Soup (hot & tart), Pad See Ewe and Jungle Noodles. Everything was quite tasty. Service was quick and the dishes were delivered immediately upon being cooked, & at different times. This is my new favorite Thai restaurant here in the 'burbs. We'll definitely be back.

I have ordered from Sri Siam a couple of times and each order is super delicious. I always order broccoli with BBQ pork (not on the menu, but they can make it). You cannot go wrong with that dish or the pad thai. What I truly enjoyed is their desserts! Each one is amazing!!

This place is fantastic! And they deliver to Glenview. For a main course... The Holy Basil Chicken is really good. The Panang Curry is solid. I usually order dishes medium spicy. A warning: They blew me up once when I requested hot. For apps... The Pot Stickers are great, as are the Shu Mai. The Tod Mun Pla (fish cakes) are surprisingly yummy. I also dig the Summer Rolls. I like that the whole family seems to work there.

Sri Siam Thai in Morton Grove, Illinois is my newest favorite spot in the Northern Suburbs. Maybe it's the crazy amount of spice that haunts me, yet keeps me coming back for more. My favorite dish is pictured below and it's literally called, "Stir-Fried Hell." Oh, and they happen to put an asterisk next to the name on the menu in case you didn't realize it was going to be hot. This is my newest restaurant that I would like to feature on Check Please! Maybe some day soon. Enjoy! -Chowhound Chick chowhoundchick.blogspot.…

Bottom line: The best Thai food in the area - fantastic food! My wife and I went there for dinner Saturday night. We chose Sri Siam because of all of the great reviews. I arrived with high hopes, my wife was a little less so, but willing to give the strip mall restaurant a try. The cons: well, it isn't a fancy place. Seating for maybe 25 total. Clean if a bit cluttered in the back. The pros: The food! Delicious, nicely portioned and reasonably priced. Super service. The matron came out at one point to check if the soup was too spicy for my wife - a nice, caring touch. Here's what we had: Cucumber salad - as good as any I've had anywhere Summer roles - perfectly balanced and fresh ingredients with a flavorful sauce Tom Yum Soup - spicy & tangy with generous amount of meat Cashew Chicken - perhaps the best Asian food dish I've had in many years. This was the award winner for the evening. My wife's eyes lit up when she tried it. Green Curry - perfect blend of vegetables, meat and thick curry. This was more than we could eat in one sitting, so it made for a wonderful lunch on Sunday. This is definitely my go to place for Thai food near where i live. I'll be treating friends to their fare as soon as I can arrange it. Go there hungry, leave with a smile.

By far the best Thai food I've ever had anywhere. They are truly Thai and from the Bangkok area. They do all their own cooking and don't have non Thai cooks like some Thai places do. Having lived in Thailand, I know what Thai food should taste like. I honestly feel like it's better than any restaurant I've eaten at in Thailand too!. The Som Tom (Spicy papaya salad) is spot on .. I ask them to use fresh lime juice instead of the bottled lime juice. Pad Thai is delicious! Tastes very very good.. The servings are huge too! Larb Chicken is my favorite there. All the soups are amazing. Tom Yum, Tom Kha. WOOW Try their sticky rice w mango. MMMmmmmhh My favorite restaurant by far. Thank you!.

You wouldn't expect this small and unassuming place to be the best, but its actually really delish. They have really really inexpensive lunch deals, like 7 bucks for an entree, coup, and choice of egg roll or potstickers. Green curry is my favorite yet, its super authentic tasting and nice and spicy! Ive also had the pad see ewe, which is great and the same goes for the panang. And yup, they have tofu (not like you probably care, but I do!) Great place!

Sri Siam-an easy place to miss...and MISS OUT! haha. Small moms and pops place with consistently good thai food. My fav dishes so far: 1. Basil Fried Rice 2. Panang Noodle Dish 3. Pad See Ewe 4. Pad Woon Sen 5. Pad Thai Cheap & good for take out. The service is friendly, super casual. My go-to place in the burbs. Will be back.=D

This place is probably the best thai food you will get in the area and thats not saying much because there are not that many but the quality of food, how it is prepared, and whatever else they do make their dishes delicious. I went to Sri Siam for the first time 2 weeks ago and I ordered the Pad Kee Mao and the Pad Kee Ewe and got both of them really spicy. I nearly died from the heat level but it was so good that I couldn't stop. There is plenty of veggies and the pork that i got was really tender. I was so surprised because the place I usually go to, the meat is very dry and over cooked with no flavor but this place... wow.... I learned my lesson from getting extra spicy and came back again. Order the same thing and I savored ever... single... bite... Took one of my friends there with me and he practically did the same thing... The only negative is that the wait is eh.... but its well worth it... You got yourself a regular but I'll just do carry out next time so I don't have to wait.

We just moved to Glenview and were looking for a new Thai restaurant to replace our favorite Thai Thai in Deerfield. The food came super fast, which was great since we were starving. That was where the positive ended. We ordered spring rolls. I took one bite and couldn't finish it...it was that bad. On to my entree. I normally don't order Pad See Ewe, but my husband ordered this time and didn't know what I wanted. This was the worst Pad See Ewe I've ever had. The eggs were burnt, then noodles were weird..and it was lacking flavor. It was super greasy. I ate it cause I was so hungry, but I feel like I am going to regret that later. My husband ordered Pad Thai. It did not taste anything like Pad Thai and also was super greasy. Oh, and the portions were really small especially for the price!! I know that we won't be going back here every again. I guess our quest to find a Thai restaurant will continue.

This has turned into our favorite go-to Thai place near home. The food is delicious, the service is prompt, and the dishes are refreshingly ungreasy. The heat levels are right on. I highly recommend the Holy Basil, Shrimp in Clay Pot, and Pad See Ewe, and also like that they offer brown rice with their entrees.

After so many positive Yelp reviews, it seemed like the place to go for dinner while staying at the hotel down the street. Like nearly every delicious asian restaurant I've ever discovered, it's not much to look at, but is quite cozy. The lady who waited on us was quite charming and kind. Most importantly, just like other Yelpers have said, the food was delicious. Ordered the Sri Siam Seafood Green Curry, easily the best curry I've ever had. Took a taste of a friend's Pad Thai, which was also quite good. Now, I've never had Thai food in Thailand, but I get the sense that this food was prepared in a very traditional sense. It had this extra edge of flavor and love put into the making. Prices were quite reasonable, too, with dinner entrees between 8$ and 10$.
