This is my 4th night in a row here. They have the most extensive beer list in town and the food is reliably consistent. Emphasis on beef but they do have other things. Almost ordered the seafood jambalaya last night but opted for the brisket instead. Their garlic mashed potatoes are awesome in and totally not good for your waistline! Steaks are done properly and they know the difference between rare and medium rare. The only faults I can give them is weak salads and the service can be a tad slow when they're slammed. Emphasis on 'tad' -- we weren't ignored or blown off by any means.

Amazing food! Must try the armadillo eggs ad cheese sticks! They are so tasty!!! Love the mix drink menu as well! Very comfortable atmosphere and definitely my new favorite bar!

Atmosphere is casual with a saloon decor. During peak dinner hours, there is a friendly hostess to seat you. There is a bar with seating. Seating also available in and outside. There are some slot machines, 4 TVs inside, and 1 TV outside. Server was nice and attentive. Homemade soup on this visit was corn chowder which was very good. We had wings for appetizer with a mango habanero sauce. I had the special which was BBQ ribs. It came with a veggie, baked or mash potatoes, and a cup of soup. The prices are very reasonable. Good variety of choices on the menu. We will definitely go back soon.

Great atmosphere. Reminds me of my grand papi's fishin cabin by the old abandoned saw mill where bubba was shot by a former Klan member. The food was fantastic. Excellent service, the servers look relatable to playmates...yum! Overall, I would recommend the Greenhorn too everyone. "When you climb on the saddle, be prepared for a bumpy ride" Yeehaw!

I really want to give these guys 5 stars. Like fo'realz . I digress. During the week, spot on! Service, timely food delivery, ect.... During the weekend the wheels straight fall off this joint. It doesn't help that they keep the 3 tables on the far end for employee use and rolling silverware. And the bartenders seem so busy (not that bad compared to anywhere else in the country) on the weekends that service is like trying to offer a free footlong to an elementary school when your name in Jared. Scares. I love the spicy buffalo shrimp. As well as the Brisket, and maybe Brittany too. Ok, I really love Brittany. Cute waitresses and fun staff make this place cool. What's not cool is the older every week crowd, sort of like herpes. You wish they would go away, but alas. Anyway, this place is worth a visit! Pray for Brittany

I had eaten here before, but today was my family's first time. They LOVED it! My wife says it's her new favorite restaurant! Service was great, food was hot and delicious, and we enjoyed the atmosphere. We will definitely be back soon! I would recommend this place to anyone!

Passing through Morris and didn't know where to eat. Read prior Yelp reviews and decided to give it a try. Not disappointed at all!! Bison Chili, Brisket Sandwich, Rib Tips. ...delicious. A fellow patron heard us talking about this being our first time here....suggested Mac & Cheese. We are getting some to go. Sure wish we lived closer. ..this would be our go-to place!!

This place was frankly, a surprise. I've seen so many places come and go from this one (ADs Place, Bottom's Up) that were bar-dives (dive,dive, dive), that I was reluctant to give this new incarnation a try. Too bad I waited so long. It was pretty good. We had four dinners and all of them were good. The waitress asked how we wanted our burgers cooked, and to my surprise, when I ordered one medium rare, it actually came that way. That, and they had A1 and Heinz ketchup and mustard at the table (although the ketchup container was nearly empty.) The drinks were pretty good. One person in my party ordered their Bloody Mary special, which came with a shrimp, a pepperocini, and a stalk of celery - quite loaded for $5. The beers were fresh as well. The place was pretty clean, but there was a chunk of hamburger on the floor next to our table. It looked like it had been stepped on once or twice. Other than that glitch, it was pretty good.

Stopped for dinner on the way back from Starved Rock State Park. Delicious, freshly made mozzarella sticks, brisket burger, and macaroni and cheese. Service was on point.

Love this place! Great atmosphere - love that they only play country music. The food is amazing. I love the turkey burger, fish tacos, and the Caesar dressing is great. Everything I've tried, I've loved. Service is great as well. They seem to be well-staffed with very attentive waitresses. The drink menu is unique for the area and the friendly bartenders make the best drinks. I've enjoyed every experience here, both for dinner or just drinks.

Best meal during a week long stay in Morris. Had the pot roast special - wow was it good. Tender and juicy. They also have homemade cheese sticks - very good. Good service, cold beer.

First time at the Greenhorn and we were truly surprised how good it was. Not only the food, but the service. We had Thomassina as our server. We were the first patrons to arrive and by the time and by the time we left, the place was packed. Thomassina took all the orders and the bartender helped by bringing food & drinks out and also the menus. We saw a couple more workers, one was putting napkins together, the other, don't know where she went, unless she was a cook. Thomassina seemed to be everywhere & everyone was taken care of. The food was terrific. We started with cheese sticks which had spinach along with the cheese inside. Different and tasty. I had the fish poorboy which was whitefish. Delicious. I also tried their cole slaw and it was creamy & good. My husband had the brisket and loved it. We were getting our car worked on across the street and we will again get it done at lunch time, so we can go back for lunch. Not a fancy place, looks like a large garage. The beer was very reasonable also. Highly recommend!

Great little saloon on Route 6. There is a parking lot and some outdoor seating. When we arrived, we were greeted and seated by a pleasant hostess. Our waitress was attentive and provided good customer service. The decor is old western saloon, complete with the waitstaff wearing boots and denim. Country music played throughout. I had a special order due to diet restrictions. It was graciously accommodated, which was very nice. The wings and ribs are good. It is reasonably priced. There are bands on some nights of the week. There are also slot machines if you are a gambler.

If we find ourselves in Morris IL again I'd definitely stop in. yelp* had good rating so we gave it a try. We sat outside on a nice evening. The outdoor dining is a bit of an afterthought. It's just a few picnic tables on a patio off the parking lot. We took outside because the dining room was packed and like I said, it was a nice night. Take outdoor seating if you like, but prepare to nearly never see your waiter. Tiny complaint. Parking is a bit sketchy too. The food was fantastic. Worth the wait and the weird service. I posted pic of my sandwich. It was big, maybe too big, but it was cooked with care. I liked the place. Next time I'm sitting inside.

Have been here numerous times and it was quite tasty but this last time was a real disappointment. Ordered the Fish Tacos (had them before) and my sister ordered the fish sandwich. My Tacos had very little fish lots of lettuce and no tasty sauce. My sisters sandwich had very little fish as well. We're guessing a screw up and they used one order of fish to fill both orders. Will try again hoping that was just a hick-up in what has been very enjoyable in the past. Kitchen please don't mess up a good thing...

Great Saloon, great servers, great little place, great people, great food. What else can i say about this place. Me and my wife were told that our wait time would be 30 minutes which was nothing as their were too many people but then seated in under 5 i think it was because of our 10 month old baby. Terrific food they have the best fish ever. Will definitely go their next time

If you're passing through Morris, you must stop here. I don't care if you're not hungry...stop here and at least order the Armadillo eggs. I had an appetizer sampler here and a steak salad and every single dish was delicious and perfectly prepared. The place is well run, ha friendly servers and a cool saloon atmosphere. You'd be a darn fool not to stop here and order up some grub from these fine folks.
