It was okay. Sandwiches and sides... on par and not better [or worse] than other order at the counter type places in my opinion, just a bit different. You can get things like carrot cake, soup, cheese fries, etc, so at least they have variety on their side.

I grew up on this food...was always the treat as a kid! Now that I live in Las Vegas I make it a mandatory stop when I come back to visit the family. I have NEVER had a negative experience with the food quality. For me to absolutely hate Pepsi sodas, they made it up by having Diet Mountain Dew so I call it a wash! :o) Same order, every time: K6: EOP-T with cheddar fries! Wish they would spread the franchise out here to Vegas!

So, we were having this debate with friends the other night, Arthur's vs Hungry Hobo. It was split down the middle, all the chicks like Arthur's while all the dudes were partial to Hungry Hobo. My husband and I have since moved from the QC but every time we go back, we have to go to our staples (Mine is Arthur's and his is Hungry Hobo). He insisted I try the chicken hot sandwich. The meat was good- pounded chicken breast, chopped finely and then served with cheese on a toasted piece of hobo's delicious bread. It was just okay. My husband is obsessed with it and doesn't stop raving about it (he is a little cray sometimes). So, Hobo's bread is pretty much the bomb as well are the waffles fries with stadium cheese and baked potatoes. But that is where my love affair ends. My heart will forever belong to Arthur :-)

I was in the area for a week my husband and I drove to the QC area from Chicago and we saw Hungry Hobo and thought the name was funny so we tried it. It was delicious! I got a chicken sandwich loaded with all the ingredients. The chicken was ALL white meat perfect! Grilled very good. I also got a baked potato with the cheese sauce and sour cream. I will recommend getting the sour cream on the side because they load this sucker up with cheese and cream. Very good... no cheese wiz here it was really good cheese sauce. I liked it so much I went back and got it the last day of vacation and I ordered the same thing but when I got back to my hotel they made a mistake and gave me beef. I was not happy but it was now 8pm and they close at 8 so I ate it... I am happy I did, it was pretty good Im normally not a beef person the only fast food beef I eat is Portillos and if you have ever eaten portillos you know what Im talking about. Hobo made there beef pretty good not as good as portillos but it was more of a chopped beef then Italian beef. No fatty parts which I find disgusting. The deserts are good too the chocolate cake and choc chip cookie I would recommend putting cookie in microwave for 10 sec then enjoy.

During my stay in the QC, I visited the Hungry Hobo a couple times. It was kinda pricey and both times the sandwiches were kinda dry, I had the reuben and another turkey one I don't recall the name. The sandwiches were NOT hobo priced...They were expensive. The waffle fries are the best investment here, loaded with nacho cheese dip. And the baked potatoes were excellent, but I only think that because of quantity and price. They were huge and cheap, but the amount of toppings were lacking a little. Overall, I would eat here again if I was on a budget, but it would definitely be a second choice place.

Heard the radio commercials, decided to go in. Was not impressed at all. The cashier had no idea what she was doing and could not answer any questions regarding the food. The food is definitely overpriced, and their bread tastes like it came from Walmart's discount rack. It was awful. Def. recommend Jimmy John's instead.
