Awful Awful Awful. Pass this place right up and get a hot dog from the cart vendor in Mt. Greenwood Park instead! I was totally duped by the $4.99 2 hot dog, fry & drink special. A shriveled little teeny weeny on a bun. Condiments were insufficient. I second the person who said they microwaved their hot dog. It is true. This place sucks. I confronted the guy a day or two later and he was like I've never had a complaint about my food before, and i was like really !? you should read your Yelp reviews.

It seems counterintuitive that you would find mediocre cooking at a place called "Firehouse"--I mean, those guys eat like kings, really--but this Firehouse is a bit of a downer. You'll spend more money and get less food than other area places, and the food isn't outstanding in any way. It's pretty generic. I haven't tried other restaurants in this franchise, so maybe some are a little better. But this one has a lot of worthy competition nearby. try one of those places instead.

I adore lemonade and thought a place highlighting this beverage in their title would have to serve up the finest. Totally wrong- Raquel's opinion is seconded. Yellow snow cone. Super sugary and far from fresh squeezed or home made. They microwaved the hot dog in front of me and did not use the proper dressing for a Chicago Dog. Will not be returning here, I suspect everything is microwaved and frozen as well. No love here.

For those of you familiar, I would compare this to Nicky's on 114th and Pulaski. I think the food is slightly higher priced than average, without any increase in portion size. The food was good - I have been here repeatedly because of my love for crinkle cut fries and the chicken Philly sandwich. The lemonade was disappointing. I originally went in anticipating something refreshing, homemade, fresh squeezed, but was devastated to find that it was comparable to a 7/11 slurpee. It is merely your choice of snow cone flavor blended with ice and garnished with a lemon. I do occasionally stop in (they're open until 10 pm) but I have recently discovered the generous portions of crinkle cut fries that La Papa's (on 111th and Pulaski) offers up. The still earn 3 stars though - service is always good, place is always clean, they're close to home, and on a hot day, a lemonade snow cone/slurpee hits the right spot.

So I saw a sign for Firehousehouse Steak & Lemonade and thought, this place must be good. I ordered the wings and was asked to try their world famous Lemonade. Sure, I said -it was inlcuded. The woman behind the counter was nice, and seemed pleasant. Warned me that my spicy wings weren't spicy, and she was right. It feels as if this place is cooking frozen food right out of the bag. There was no spice, no flavor, and the world famous lemonade was sugar and ice nothing famous about it. Yet, people kept coming in which is why I gave it two stars inl ieu of one. I mean, I'll never come back here but it seems like they wouldn't care.

$5.99 for a small sandwhich!!! That does not even include fries or drink. Kinda bogus prices but food is gooood!!

It's Chicago style fast food. It's close to the house. The prices are decent. And the food is good with big portions. The wife likes the turkey burger and she is pretty picky so that says something. They don't have anything really special that they do but I wouldn't be afraid to order anything off the menu.

The prices are somewhat high considering the portion sizes. The quality of the food is decent but this is rarely my first or second choice when I am hungry.
